by the time y/n finally arrived to wonwoo's office (thirty-five minutes late by the way), she finds wonwoo curled up into a shivering ball on his couch in front of his desk.

"wonwoo?" y/n's soft voice startled wonwoo and despite his messy appearance from almost having a mental breakdown at the thought of y/n ditching him, he got up to allow his friend in and to shut the door of his office.

"y/n, h-how are you?" wonwoo wanted the ground to swallow him up... it's been almost a few weeks since you've seen her and the most he can muster up is 'how are you'?

he was grateful to see her smile, "well i just got out of a five hour surgery if that gives you a hint." she giggled, "and by the way, i'm sorry for keeping you waiting, i wanted to freshen up a little bit before i saw you." the softness in her voice almost made wonwoo melt.

"no problem! i was fine!" his awkward smile totally gave everything away but y/n didn't bother to say anything. she was probably just as nervous as he was.

the two friends sat down across from each other. wonwoo took a deep breath to ready himself for this conversation. despite them being friends for a majority of their lives, this was probably one of the hardest conversations wonwoo was about to partake in. even his med school interviews cower in the face of wonwoo having to actually talk about his feelings in front of the person he's been in love with since he could remember.

"i'm sorry." the both of them announced at the same time.

"what? why are you apologizing y/n?" wonwoo was puzzled, "i should be apologizing, i was acting stupid this entire time."

"i know!" y/n laughed, "but i was being stupid too and i was basically egging on soonyoung, jun, and jihoon to help me." y/n startled twirling the ends of her hair. it was a habit she had picked up during their med school rotations as a way to help soothe her whenever she was nervous. however since they started their job at svt hospital, she decided to cut her hair shorter to keep herself from fiddling.

"joshua and i are just friends. i don't know whatever plan the three stooges put up but joshua and i are just friends wonwoo."

a huge weight lifted off his shoulders because honestly if this was going to be another unrequited love situation, wonwoo was honestly going to probably move to live at the north pole and wallow away in his sadness.

"oh thank god." he couldn't even hold that comment in, "y/n, i'm not the best at timing but you should know i've been in love with you for as long as i can remember." his deep voice tinted y/n's cheeks pink. "i thought i was always content with just being in your life but when i found out sejun was cheating on you, i couldn't control myself. i know you deserve the best... even if the best isn't with me."

before wonwoo could continue with his speech that he spent the last two days rehearsing in his room, y/n interrupted him.

"wonwoo you are the best for me." it was wonwoo's time to sit there stunned, "i liked you since college but sejun always told me that you only saw me as a friend and i just believed him since you two were friends/roommates--"

"i hated that guy with all my guts y/n, he makes me sick!" wonwoo interjected like a child.

"i realize that now..." a small sigh left y/n. "even though the timing for us is a little off, at least we're here now."

"that's all i could ever ask y/n." wonwoo reached across the coffee table to grab her hands. "but before we continue with anything else, i also wanted to apologize. i was being stupid and irrational. i hurt you and our friends and i'm so sorry."

y/n's soft hands covered his in a reassuring way. "i know i'm emotionally constipated but i'm working on it. i'm bettering myself for myself and hopefully for you too y/n."

"you don't have to better yourself for me wonwoo." y/n's gentle voice comforted him, "i love you just the way you are."

"i know but-- wait what?!"

"hm? did something happen?" y/n questioned, genuinely confused as his reaction.

"y-you just said that you l-love me..." wonwoo barely whispers.

y/n nodded confidently. "yes i did." she smiled, "you said you love me too!"

wonwoo felt his head spinning again. the love of his life knows that he loves her? it's not the end of the world but when did he confess? isn't love too serious right now? oh god why is he seeing the light right now.

and the last thing wonwoo hears is y/n's shocked voice calling out his name as he passes out on his couch.

“Why’d you order so many copies?” Your boyfriend questioned, walking up to where you were seated, Victon albums laid out on the table, waiting to be opened by you.

“I want to pull my bias.” You said simply. You started to carefully remove the film off the first album and open it up. You still liked to fangirl every once and a while and you had all the Victon albums to date.

“My photocards are pretty common, babe. I think you’d be fine with just 2 or 3. 7 seems a little much, doesn’t it?” He sat down beside you and grabbed another album to help unpackage.

You hummed, not saying anything in response to his comments, but a smile still grew on your face. You flipped over the photocards for the first album, a little disappointed when you saw that you had drawn Seungwoo and Byungchan.

“It’s okay, there’s 6 left.” Sejun smiled, dimples popping out. He flipped over the photocards from his album— Another Seungwoo and a Subin. “Guess we’ll have to keep look-”

“Finally!! Oh my god, this’ll complete my collection by now!” You grinned happily, snatching the Subin photocard from out of your boyfriend’s hand, holding it up to study it carefully like it was the most precious thing you owned.

“I thought you were trying to get your bias…?”

“I did!” Your smile stayed firm on your face until it finally dawned on Sejun.

“I’m… not your bias?”

“You're my boyfriend— why would you need to be my bias as well?” You reasoned offhandedly, still too immersed in the photocard to catch his confused expression.

He wasn’t your bias? Why wasn’t he your bias? You loved him, but then you biased Subin? What the heck did Subin have over your own boyfriend?!

“I’m not your bias?” He asked, stunned.

“Mmm… maybe bias wrecker? Not sure.”

“But I’m your boyfriend.”

“I know.” You kissed him on the cheek to ease his worries slightly, but it didn’t seem to help much.

“Am I… lacking?” Sejun asked, still stunned. When you glanced back at him, he was pouting.

“What? Of course not! I love you so much, baby.” You immediately calmed him, dropping the album that you were opening to cup his cheeks instead. “You’re my boyfriend and you’re not lacking in any way.”

“But I’m not your bias.” He muttered bitterly, removing your hands from his face and picking up another album, tearing the film and picking up the photocards— Sejun and Hanse. He picked up his own photocard, studying it carefully. You watched as his eyes flickered over every detail of the smaller, printed version of him.

“Am I not as pretty as Subin?”

You furrowed your eyebrows, “I never said he was prettier than you.”

“Then why is he your bias?” Sejun whined, huffing out a big breath at the end of the question. 

You couldn’t suppress your laughter at his antics. You had never told him who your bias was for this very reason. You had never seen your boyfriend get jealous over anyone. He was always confident in himself and you, so there was really nothing he had to get jealous over. You just wanted to test out if he was the jealous type, and the result didn’t disappoint. 

“I guess he just caught my attention.” You shrugged.

“It feels like you’re cheating on me.” He said dramatically.

“Biasing Subin doesn’t count as cheating.”

“It does! You’re being disloyal to your boyfriend.”

“I biased him because he’s talented. I’m not in love with him.” You defended.

“Am I not talented enough for you?” 

“Baby,” You sounded defeated. You didn’t expect it to bother him that much. To be honest, you couldn’t think of anything to say to appease him. “I love you so much more than Subin, okay?”

“Do you?” Sejun pouted again.

“I do! You’re my handsome, talented, beautiful, funny, lovely boyfriend who I love endlessly and has no reason to get jealous over Subin.” You said sincerely.

“Well… I guess Subin can stay your bias then…” He mumbled, trying to hide his smile from your compliments, but he failed.

You laughed again and then grabbed Sejun’s hoodie strings, pulling him towards you until his lips landed on yours. You pulled away, but Sejun kept his eyes closed, trying to find your lips again for another kiss.

“You’re so cute.” You whispered, kissing him again like he wanted.

so, it's 2014. the pokemon vcg world championships is on the horizon.

enter Park Sejun. he went into the tournament as a favorite by a significant amount, having a 2nd place finish at worlds in 2011 and top 8 in 2012 and 2013 (all of which were within 3 games of becoming the champion) and dominating the south korean scene all year.

a lot of that was due to his team building. he consistently ran innovative teams that hugely shaped the meta. mega kangaskhan, for example, dominated most of the world, but sejun's answer to it meant it was not finding that same success in south korea.

the main narrative around him rocking up to the tournament with pachirisu is that he loved it so much, he was determined to make it work come hell or high water.

but that's not the full story. it was actually a fucking brilliant strategic choice.

i could go on a whole other infodump about the details of how the format being restricted to the kalos regional dex led to the specific conditions that made this possible, but i won't.

the important part is that Sejun saw mega gyarados being potentially in a really, really strong spot as the meta swung pretty massively right before worlds.

the only question, then, is how to support it, since it was still pretty hard checked by some pretty strong and popular pokemon at the time.

again, i could go on about the other pokemon he brought and how every single choice was incredibly well thought out, but this is about pachirisu.

stats wise, while it's offensively not great, it's surprisingly bulky, especially when compared to the other format-legal pokemon that could learn the move follow me, which was its primary role on the team. that redirect could be used to protect gyarados, allowing it time to set up dragon dances and all that good stuff.

but that's not the end of how incredibly strong a supportive pokemon it can be, especially if you're not prepared for it.

it also ran nuzzle, which does approximately 0 damage but paralyzes, which in gen 6 quartered the pokemon's speed, not halved it, and super fang, which, due to it always doing half the target's remaining hp, made pachirisu enough of a damage threat that you can't just ignore it. you've gotta deal with the little motherfucker, or you're gonna get fucked up. pachirisu also has volt absorb, further covering against the very strong electric types that were popular at the time.

and then, of course, was the element of surprise. many people at the tournament had never played against it competitively, and even those who had were likely to not know/remember that it can learn follow me, and failing to play around follow me can be absolutely devastating.

this is already pretty long so i'm not gonna break down his 2-0 win in the finals, but my god he made calls with pachirisu specifically that were incredibly intelligent and were absolutely crucial to his victory

tl;dr, Park Sejun is fucking brilliant, and with a series of some of the biggest brain choices to ever hit the vgc scene, both in team building and in-game, he wrecked shop with the little zappy squirrel that most people wouldn't even begin to consider for any team, let alone one at the highest competitive level.

a/n: this the first victon request i've completed since chan left. i didn't include him since he isn't technically a member of the group anymore, but i want to preemptively apologize if not seeing him here is upsetting. i don't mean to upset anyone at all by this post. it's a complicated situation. i hope you can all enjoy reading about the other members <3

Seungsik: When you tell Seungsik that you're multilingual, he's absolutely sure he can't live without you now. Whether as a friend or lover (lover preferred), he wants to keep you around. He really wants you to help him address international fans better than he can alone and he's so so so grateful for your help :( The fact that you can help him with a task that isn't so simple but is very important to him? He worships the ground you walk upon. The fact that you can help lift a burden that has been heavy on his shoulders for such a long time? An obvious sign that you're his soulmate. He confesses late one night after writing a message together.

Seungwoo: Seungwoo is a pretty level man. Not easily shaken, not overly expressive. He's calm and grounded. His outward expression of how impressed he is by your ability to speak multiple languages is pretty lowkey, just quietly but playfully commenting that it's "pretty hot," and laughing afterwards to pass if off as a joke. But he really finds you so intriguing. He even starts to naturally pick up on the language when he's with you. You don't even know he's paying attention until he starts finishing sentences to you or telling you what word it is you're looking for when you have a brain blank. But of course he's paying attention. This is you we're talking about here. He wants to be deserving of you and to be able to speak to you in any language.

Sejun: You are Sejun's pride. He's never known anyone as lingually gifted as you and he just kinda thinks everyone needs to see you in action. So he constantly makes you show off your skill to any and everyone. Every time he's just smiling at you with sparkly eyes and making sure that everyone tells you how amazing you are. It's so painfully obvious to everyone but you and Sejun that he's down bad for you. Even he can't quite see it despite knowing that he feels the best when he's with you and his stomach is always full of unexplained butterflies. Subin ends up telling you about Sejun's crush on his behalf, much to his embarrassment. He starts asking you how to say "kill me" in one of the languages you speak 😭

Hanse: When Hanse finds out you're multilingual, he's ecstatic. This gives him another excuse to spend time with you. His new excuse is that he wants to diversify his new music's reach by sprinkling in some verses in another language. And he needs your help for that, duh. This makes everything so much harder on him because his crush on you was intense before, but spending time alone with you in the studio, a place he loves, and listening as you teach him makes him fall much harder than he even thought he would. But it makes him all the more sure that he has to confess. He can't miss his opportunity with you. He won't. He just needs to draft a new song first.

Byungchan: Thank god. Now Byungchan has someone to order his food for him when he goes to a restaurant with a menu in a language other than his own. Even if you don't speak the language, it is now Your Duty to help him understand and order. Like Hanse, he uses this as an excuse to spend time with you. "Y/n, I really want to try out the new restaurant in town, but I don't want to order the wrong thing by accident. Can you come with me? 🥺️" As if you'd say no. When he's ready to confess, he asks you to go on a trip with him and takes you somewhere you speak the language of. He confesses when you get there with the plan of having you show him around once it's all said and done. His own personal tour guide too, it seems. He's not sure how anyone can be as smart as you.

Subin: He thinks it's so cool. Like, you're the coolest person in the world. Obviously. This only makes his crush on you intensify tenfold. He likes to listen in if you talk to anyone on the phone in one of the languages he doesn't know. He has no idea what you're saying aside from the few words you've taught him, but it's just really fascinating to him to see you switch between languages so effortlessly. He's the type to ask you what the word for something is in the languages you speak all the time. It's a rare day when he doesn't ask you to tell him the word for shoes or cab or toilet paper. When he gets around to confessing to you, he does it by asking you how to say it in one of the languages you speak :(

option 1: summer

song: ok i know someone at that fuckass company is gonna be like “omg you should totally do a ballad” so i thought what if we didn’t have to suffer and it was just a little teaser for the album like dream and free tempo and hyuk’s songs were and not the main song? if we have to get a slow song, rather than a ballad i want something soft and sweet like choco chip cookie.

outfit: a mix of the ceci photoshoot and big issue, oversized shirts but less pink and more.. sparkly? i’m seeing stickers on his skin and glitter on his hair but idk that might be a vision for another time. anklets if we’re doing a beach thing. hair curly and parted so his eyebrows show a little (put some glitter on them like aoa cream king) maybe even some novelty hair clips

m/v: aesthetics..... the overused 3:4 aspect ratio solid color background with some objects in front omg.. but i’d eat it up for hakyeon honestly if it was more pastel and told a story. cutesy nostalgic with a girl maybe so he can trend for being boyfriend material again. balloons, very colorful, sunny summer-like, 

option 2: autumn

song:  i know vixx generally don’t do trends (thank god they never did beat drop chorus noise /barf) BUT, and hear me out, CITY POP is kinda on the rise and his #aestheticcore ass would GO ALL OUT. yukika - neon is like, representative intl stan choice but it is actually amazing. i can see hakyeon going upbeat retro but in my mind the prerelease single is a slightly faster ballad over a vaporwave/futurefunk/citypop instrumental (can you tell i don’t listen to that cringe shit). i can also see some trot elements being thrown in that suit fit hakyeon’s voice 

outfits: imagine this picture but with highwasted brown pants instead and a much flowier white/blue shirt with like puffier sleeves? maybe an extra button undone. then a beret (!), huge fucking dangly earrings, and his hair styled wavy like for the big issue magazine. black shoes with a high heel because fuck you or whatever these shoes are called because fashion.

song: if hakyeon went for a sexy concept, and i could totally see him do cunt very well, bass down low and heavy, something like shinhwa’s first love (!!!), hashtag’s freesm, sujeong’s tiger eyes, OR something with a western pop influence: poison, give it up to me, or even hara’s midnight queen

but the ideal? this song is everything i could ever want for hakyeon’s solo debut. the jrock-pop-dance-edm influences are brilliant, it’s fast paced and hot and leaves plenty opportunities for what hakyeon does best, and that’s stare at a stage camera seductively. 

dance: mm a lot of hip work and some flowy arm movements. a little contemporary dance break for hakyeon to flex. female and male back up dancers falling over him/fighting for his attention/serving as his chairs (which he did already lmfao). also that thing where one person moves from stage left to stage right and the dancers behind them copy and freeze in various poses/wave choreography. ALSO there’s a smirk and panting and a growl in this song... if no one got me i know hakyeon’s facial expressions got me!

outfit: THIS gay ass shirt is the ONLY choice wtf!!! taemin move promotions inspired but with higher wasted pants to suit hakyeon’s body type. no necklaces either, maybe gloves, dr martens... the highlight of this outfit would be his arms and lipoma <3 in an ideal world id ask for a little red gradient lip too but whatever, the eye makeup can go crazy instead

i had not realized how long it's been since i sent an anon message omg!! i'm still soooo behind on kinnporsche (ep 7) and i fell behind w link too... but why her and yumi's cells s2 are SOOOO good!! also showtime ended so cutely!! it was v much giving 2016/2017 kdrama vibes in the best way!! also rereading old messages i'm so behind on love all play too.. oh my goodness 😭 on the bright side i got two tattoos i've been wanting to get for like 7 months now and some stress is finally going away as i've been taking care of things irl!! also i've gone to soooo many concerts, i was going to go to raveena to see her again in may but i was too tired from moving back home from college and ended up skipping it.. but i'm seeing umi on june 29th!!!! and i'm going to see tamino and dpr regime when i'm back at school in the fall!! and i think my favorite artists i've seen have been young the giant, omar apollo, and day6!! the first time i saw day6 i was so close.. and youngk sat down and i could touch him.. i didn't ofc but i got some great pics w no zoom!! also wonpil's stare is so...... whew.. like if i was a delusional stan i would hear wedding bells because that man........... HIS STARE..... god. do you have dream artists that you want to see in concert? you like victon a lot right? :O if i saw sejun irl.. whew. ALSO CARROT CAKE IS SO GROSS. the frosting is the only good part. i also hate pies.. like banana cream pie and ... idk key lime pie is KIND OF tolerable but still . it would be a . this is the last food on earth i need to eat it to sustain myself type of meal. maybe i hate it because my sis and mom love carrot cake so they would get it a lot when i was growing up :((( i would say my fave desserts are molten lava cake, mexican styled fried ice cream, coconut milkshake, banh da lon, raspberry yogurt cheesecake (from mango mango)... before i used to be like obsessed w the most chocolatey desserts but as i've gotten older i've mellowed out w my taste!! also my sis got covid like 2 weeks ago and her and her gf were Feeling it.. they had a trip planned to jamaica too and luckily they tested negative days before the trip but it was cutting it close!! also i do have a radio show!! just through our campus' station! last semester it was highlighting bipoc artists so i played ppl from burna boy to khalil fong to ambré to youra!! but my friend asked to do it together next semester and idk how that's going to work because they like only listen to yt artists and like 2 genres......... but i couldn't say no because i didn't want to be mean...................... also regarding sm noise music... not to sound like an sm stan... but at least it's noise music done well 😫 a lot of groups don't know how to make noise music that is addicting yet not overwhelming but nct slay at doing so.. omg now i sound like an nctzen.. i swear exo and shinee r my faves 😭 but yeah i mean my favorite songs from nct are typically their slower rnb ones.. white night from nct 127 was my most played song of 2020! and teddy bear by nct dream is in my top ten for this year i think?? sorry for such a long message but i hope you've been well!!! also one last thing, do you listen to kard? they finally had a cb since jseph is done w his service but idk the title isn't hitting as it usually does... i really like jseph's part though!! - z anon

I will respect your choice on carrot cake (just know that it is wrong). pies are fine, I can get behind a good apple pie. I like key lime too. can't say I've had a lot of banana cream but I wouldn't say it's something I'd choose to eat. LMFAOO my friend is a NCT Stan so don't worry I'm used to it. noise music clearly caters to people (I just am not one of them). I will say that their choreography usually slaps tho. I haven't listened to anything from KARD in a hot minute so that includes their latest release. overall I'm doing well, I have one more week of this month's clinical rotation and then I have august as a break (technically supposed to be writing my thesis tho so it really a break?). I'm just glad to get this month over with bc it's not hard this rotation but it's just soooo slow and boring and I don't really feel like I'm learning anything which is the whole point of these rotations.
