if you truly believed yourself to be god of your reality you wouldn’t worry so much (or at all) about your state or your thoughts because you would know you are inherently one with the state of your fulfilled desires because your desires are not separate from you, no, they are yours because they are god-given, literally given to you by you, and you already did the giving, didn’t you? the second you imagined? yeah. so you see now, i’m sure, that you are already crucified to the state by the simple fact of being you, and externalization of a desire is a guaranteed byproduct of crucifixion, so maybe instead of worrying so much about if you’re “in the state” and if your thoughts are “in line” with said state just sit with your awareness as being god for a hot second and feel, with that, the built-in crucifixion, and smile, because, holy shit, it just hit you, didn’t it: you can’t NOT win.

an absolute travesty we only had the DoctorDonnax2 for like half an hour total. can you Imagine the chaos. the doctor is all like "he was born in fire and blood and war" because hating himself and his choices is his oldest pastime and lookee here! free doctor he can blame and boot out of the tardis! i think they were indicating that blue had donna's memories, but i adore the concept of them having a twin telepathy thing.

the doctor is right to be scared. there are now two people in the tardis who have ALL the context to call him out about his decisions. one is him, who we already know he Despises. one is his best friend, who's literally carrying a piece of him right after he's had the idea that he turns everyone he lets close into the worst parts of himself planted in his head. both of them are part donna and therefore categorically incapable of letting him comfortably retreat into his drama persona and avoid his problems. both of them are also part timelord and therefore he can't "i'm a 900yo alien from the most advanced civilization in the world, i am Unknowable" his way out of it. there's two of them, so they're ready to tag-team him into oblivion.

picture it. we get another donna season. it's just the doctor trying desperately to run away from his worst nightmare of being Known and Loved and Called Out On His Bullshit and the DoctorDonna twins chasing him down with cheerful bloodlust. incredible.

The Seven Soldiers of Victory, aka Law's Legionnaires, take on the evil Black Star!

The SSV were DC Comics' (then known as National) second super-hero team, after the more famous Justice Society of America. And like the JSA, all the SSV members appeared in anthology titles, but not their own comic books (that rule would eventually be lifted for the JSA).

The Justice Society was comprised of heroes from both National (Doctor Fate, Hourman, the Spectre, Sandman, Starman, and honorary members Superman and Batman) and affiliated publisher All-American Publications (Flash, Green Lantern, Atom, Hawkman, Wonder Woman, Johnny Thunder, Wildcat, Doctor Mid-Nite, Black Canary, and Mr. Terrific)*. The Seven Soldiers, on the other hand, came only from National's books.

Unfortunately, this second-hand team with second-tier heroes didn't last. The Soldiers' feature ended in Leading Comics #14 (March, 1945), although the individual members did manage to last a little longer in their own features before disappearing by the end of the decade.

Although The Vigilante managed to get his own 1947 movie serial. And Green Arrow and Speedy became part of a handful of DC superheroes (along with Superman, Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman and Aquaman) who were published continually from their first appearance until well into the Silver Age.

(That's right - Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman, Hawkman, Johnny Thunder, Atom, Wildcat, Doctor Mid-Nite, Black Canary and Mr. Terrific weren't originally DC characters! They only became part of DC officially when National and All-American merged into one company in 1944.)
