Alright, um. Going to try to talk about fandom stuff here a bit more, to keep my mind off of the fact that I've been a Pokemon for over a year now.
So, uh.
Who else is hyped for Mario to beat up a transphobe?

i finally realized why the male fans who get so pressed about yamato being trans don't act like that about kiku. it's because kiku is a trans woman who looks like a very attractive woman, but yamato is a trans man who looks like an attractive woman rather than presenting masculine. and so they can be secure in their heterosexuality and be attracted to kiku, but they're also attracted to yamato and so they have to vehemently deny any possibility of him being a trans man because that would mean that they aren't as straight as they thought they were. also they can't fathom being a man and not going out of your way to be seen as a man and being okay with being feminine in any capacity.
tldr; kiku is a feminine woman, so they can be horny about her and secure in their masculinity. yamato is a feminine man, so being attracted to him threatens their heterosexuality.

WIFEY. | EPISODE EIGHT (8.3)
start / previous / next
(MAX): Let’s hear it then.
(AISH): I got my days mixed up. Sorry.
(MAX): Do you know what? I’m getting so sick of your apologising Aish. I don’t think you know what the word actually means.
(AISH): Allow it man. I know you’re still pissed about the other day but as I said, it’s not fault-
(MAX): That’s your whole problem Aish, it’s never your fault!
(AISH): Why are you shouting bruv? I’m not a child!
(MAX): You’re acting like one though! What the fuck is going on with you? You’ve always been scatty but this is next level.
(AISH): I told you, my head’s been a bit fucked lately. I’m trying my best and the last thing I need is you talking to me like a dickhead for a few minor mistakes.
(MAX): So you’re just not gonna actually tell me then?
(AISH): I shouldn’t have to air my business out to get you to trust me bruv. You don’t tell me shit about your life and I’m supposed to just be cool with that, but now it’s the other way round it’s a big fucking issue.
(MAX): That’s so unfair. You know that-
(AISH): You’re not the only person whose life is hard Max. You have family, I know you’re not speaking to them, but deep down you know that you’ll always have somewhere to go. I can’t go home at all ‘cause my fam disowned me when I chopped my tits off.
(MAX): Aish…I’m sorry. I know we’ve both been through shit. I wasn’t trying to be…selfish. I’m just worried about you.
(AISH): I don’t need you to worry about me Max. You’re always fucking worrying. You need to accept that some things are what they are. [Sighing] I just…I dunno. Maybe we should get some space…You should give my hours here to someone more…reliable.
(MAX): …Fine. If that’s what you want.

Say what you like about celebrity culture (and I really do), but right now as a queer (and disabled) trans person in the UK, there being some cis celebrities being loud in their support for us is really fucking valuable and gives me a lot of hope.
Above all they keep reminding me that the transphobia movement, however politically powerful and well-funded and however much they seem to be winning at the moment and fucking up legislation left it too late to get all or even most of the cis people on their side. That's a mistake that I hope eventually they will pay for. And celebrities being loudly allied has a real and powerful impact.
I'm thinking above all of David and Georgia Tennant, Neil Gaiman, Russell T Davies, Ncuti Gatwa, Rhianna Pratchett, Jameela Jamil, most of the cast of the HP films, etc., but very definitely not only them. <3 Less well-known people like the glorious archaeologist/historian/anatomist/author Dr Alice Roberts and the wonderful art historian/goth/author Dr Janina Ramirez are also beautifully loud about things when they can be, among so many others.
(And when Georgia Tennant sends love to us all on her Instagram account, damn it helps my brain. <3)

You know sometimes it's easy to forget or minimize how much progress you've made, but please never forget that any amount of progress at all is objectively good and worth being proud of
I used to not be able to stand not wearing several layers of clothing constantly no matter where I was and regardless of the weather after being raped in middle school, but now I'm happily lounging around in a t shirt and shorts and have felt comfortable enough to sleep without a shirt for the first time ever recently
I used to not be able to handle being touched at all with my history of physical and sexual abuse and PTSD, but now I'm able to hug people and I don't instantly panic when someone unexpectedly brushes by me anymore
I used to have panic attacks over the sound of slamming doors, but now it's just slightly startling because of the noise and that's it
I used to cry whenever someone raised their voice at me at all, but now I can take it just fine and defend myself with it's necessary
I used to be terrified of letting people see my body or face because of dysmorphia and insecurity, but now I regularly send pictures to my best friends and wear whatever I damn well please
I used to be so viscerally afraid of being open about being queer due to past bullying and queerphobia, but now I'm as openly, loudly, and unapologetically queer as I can possibly be and it makes me happy and confident in myself and my identity
So like. Never minimize your progress. Never downplay the work and effort you're putting in to heal. Never think that the effort you're putting in is meaningless. It isn't. Every bit of progress, no matter how tiny it is, is valuable and shows that you are healing and getting better
And don't think that relapsing or having bad days undoes any of your progress. It's normal to have relapses and bad days, and it does not mean that you're failing, or that you've undone all of your progress. It's okay. You're going to be okay. I'm proud of you. Don't give up on yourself

I AM SO GLAD TOU LIKE MY HC BUT-
CAN YOU EXPLAIN WTMF YOU MEAN BYT "IT MAKES SENSE"?? BECAUSE I FULLY INTENDED IT TO BE SILLY FANON STUFF
Okay so erm. It's the whole thing about transphobia and how some ppl use religion as an excuse 2 be transphobic yk? Like Lucifer n Lilith are both trans, and them being trans have nothing 2 do with them being banished from heaven. But many years later in the human world people would make up excuses 2 be transphobic, n make up stuff like "Lucifer n Lilith were punished for being trans!!" When that's not even true ykk. Idk I'm not sure if I make any sense loll my brain isn't working well enough 4 me 2 explain things properly rn 😔

TW Transph*bia
the term "sysmed" is inherently transph*bic u cant compare two separate experiences or compare people who are actually dealing with a real condition and dont want fakers to fake it to actual TRANSPH*BES!!! period
yeah. Comparing being trans and having DID is not only transphobic, but also ableist. Only another bad thing to add to the list of "shitty things endos do and say"

THIS is the reason I get so heated when I talk about the importance of accurately casting and writing the marginalized identities of mutant characters. It has always been that deep. Mutants have been used as an allegory for marginalized identities by literal generations of writers. This is why I’m so afraid of the MCU portraying mutants as the bad guys or forcing them to cave on their ideals to pal around with Disney’s pet space cops. Sorry but I think the massive franchise with a history of white washing shouldn’t get their hands on a character like Magneto who is so important politically and shouldn’t be over-simplified.

"Reverse racism/heterophobia/cisphobia is a thing nowadays"
Meanwhile, racism, transphobia and homophobia has always been a thing. That's the difference.

Wow, you're saying we'd get mocked and physically assaulted for our identity? What a novel concept. /s
I'd probably get punched for being an obviously clockable xenogender tranny before I even opened my mouth to say I was transage or transabled.

Karen: I bet your Mommy told you you’re special. Guess what, honey, you’re not. Just because you pretend to be a girl, doesn’t make you one.
Blood Moon: *sniffles*
Eclipse, picks Blood Moon up and places her in Polar’s arms: Hold our daughter.
Polar: Go get her, baby.
Karen: You’re not gonna stop him!?
Polar: Oh no, my husband looks hot when he’s punching people who disrespect our children.
Karen: So that’s why you’re such a stupid boy thinking you’re a girl! Look at the influences around you!
Eclipse: Lady, you have one second to stop.
Karen: Oh, and you’ll make me?
Eclipse: My daughter is fifteen, she shouldn’t have to deal with grown adult women harassing her. Especially not when the grown woman is so emotionally incompetent that she has to target and harass with a teenager to feel better about herself. Your don’t get the right to shove your miserable existence onto my baby. So unless you want to leave in a body bag, I suggest you leave now.
Blood Moon: Go Mama! Kick her ass!
Karen: You’re all heathens! I’m never coming to this PizzaPlex again!
Eclipse, cheerily: Have the day you deserve! There’s not another PizzaPlex until the next state over!
