Day 26: "Where is it hurting?" [Reader x Wolverine (Logan Howlett)] {X-Men}

Why Logan had let you try to cut wood was beyond him. You had very little experience and his job was literally lumberjack. But, if he was honest with himself, there were other things he had to do to get the campsite set up. So watching you struggle with an axe for a couple minutes was hardly the worst thing.

"Here, here." He reached for your arm, "Lemme take care of this while you get the fire started."

"But you've already done more than half of the heavy lifting." You pouted, "It doesn't seem fair."

"Life ain't fair babe." Logan smirked, "But this is quite literally what I do for a living so it's more than fair."

You begrudgingly handed over the axe and moved to start the fire. Logan had long since made the pit, you just needed to get it started.

Since Logan was still splitting logs by the time you had the fire going, you thought it best to try setting up the tent. The last thing either of you thought to do since both of you were a little preoccupied with other details before the sun could even think of setting.

Unfortunately, the tent poles were just waiting to enact their diabolical plan. One jut straight out, skimming your neck and nearly catching your ear in the process. Clapping your hand over the spot, you heard Logan drop the axe without hesitation.

"What happened?" He shoved the tent poles away from you, "Where is it hurting?"

"It just popped out, scratched my neck, and nicked my ear." You slowly moved your hand, "It stings more than anything, but I doubt its bleeding."

The intense way he was staring at you made you weak in the knee. Most found it intimidating, but you felt like swooning. Yet, you jumped and shuddered when Logan touched the bright red marks on your skin. It still hurt a little.

"Well, that'll be a little tender for a bit." He mumbled, "But you're right, and should be just fine."

Instinct had you try to push Logan back, but he wasn't one to be so easily moved. Especially not as he kissed your cheek, reflexes had you thinking he'd try to kiss the injury.

"If it isn't one thing it's another with you huh?" He teased, "Can't even put up the tent without me."

"Oh hush!" You smacked his chest playfully, "It wasn't my fault that the tent was out for blood."

Logan couldn't help but laugh while you pouted a little. You knew he would tease you about this all night, and possibly into the morning unless something else happened.

A Little Wolverine

Logan and I were invited to the wedding of Erik and Raven that was being held at the school for the gifted that my brother opened to help mutants control their powers and live in society with humans. He wasn't kidding either he would drag Charles by his wheelchair. "Logan, you're right. I am lieing...only because I don't know how you'll react...that I'm pregnant and it's yours." Clutching my eyes closed I waited for him to storm out. Considering we never talked about having children before we slept together.

"I'm gonna be a father...like for real. This isn’t a mind game?" He asked making me take his hands in mine reassuring him. "It's not a trick. You know I'd never mess with your mind without permission." Suddenly he picked me up spinning me around I'm circles laughing where I gripped his jacket in my hands. Once he sits me on my feet he cups my face in his hands crashing his lips onto mine. I smiled leaning up on my toes since he's taller than me wrapping my arms around his neck. "We're gonna have a little wolverine baby." He rests his forehead against mine grinning down at me.
