So it turns out Lucifer was reacting the way he was out of being startled, not because he was going to end someone's life. But I think we all know what he looks like when he actually is out here in murder mode. The event was clear in that regard.

So Lucifer calms down the snake on his clothing, and MC comes up to also touch it out of curiosity. So this tells us, the snake doesn't really cause any harm per say...but I'm sure it does something more so give Lucifer the power to do something.

MC apologizes and well Lucifer doesn't really understand why for a moment (he does laugh at the action though mostly from amusement). But MC lets it be known that they are apologizing to the snake and him.

WAIT WAIT WAIT "Child of Adam?????" AYO? I need more lore about why he said that, which I can only guess why he said that. (and honestly, now I'm thinking of Adam from Hazbin Hotel lmao)

But I mean, this statement just shows he's a least learning to observe MC for their own personality. Not Solomon's.

And this is where I was freaking out on that post. Because I had a headcanon I didn't share here, that because of Lucifer's power he could basically order you to do whatever and you'd have to carry that out.

i.e. If he said you aren't allowed to touch yourself ever unless I give you permission, that means no matter how horny you are you can't get off or do anything until he says so and that brings in a whole new kind of foreplay/dominance type thing where literally his word is to be followed. But at the same time....there could be loopholes if you're smart enough to figure them out and want to be a brat.

Whoever gets his card and unlocks the rest of the story?? I'll be waiting patiently.

Okay, so I'm gonna say that from this prologue alone, his selfie card is possibly the best selfie story out of the 5 kings. I was vibin' with Mammon's but this one rightchea? Phew. I see all your “Seward is oblivious to Jonathan’s murderous intent” and raise you: Jack absolutely see it, he just finds it absolutely fascinating. Like, this is the man that seriously gave consideration to giving Mr “Eats Living Creatures” Renfield a cat, and then actually let the man escape for science.

This disaster of a human being absolutely took one look at Jonathan’s magical girl murder-mode transformation and went “oh I cannot WAIT to see where he is going with this” (after he’d had time to process the horror of what happened to trigger it, at least). He was probably vibrating with excitement when they made the call to bring Jonathan with them because now he gets to see more of Jonathan facing the Count, which always prompts Jonathan’s most bonkers bullshit. He doubtlessly was lamenting the lack of phonograph on the trip not only because he doesn’t want to write by hand but also because it’s so much easier for him to wax philosophical on his latest hyperfixation, aka Jonathan Harker, when he’s just speaking aloud. Any pages where he tries to go in-depth on the subject are just illegible scribbles because he can’t write as fast as he monologues in his head. Arthur and Quincey have probably gotten earfuls of it at this point. I can absolutely picture the following conversation happening:

Van Helsing: Careful, friend John, if the husband of Madam Mina should think we are about to act, he may respond...poorly.

Seward: Oh, you mean he’s going to try and murder us, yes, I am aware.

VH: You...know?

Seward: Of course I know, and I must say, I find his whole metamorphosis terribly fascinating. And hot.

that wasn't why she was mad though, well it was and wasn't. it wasn't that she had sex necessarily, but more the weight and nuance of it all, of Rhaenyra being the princess, who Alicent had been trying her best to serve the best interest of and protect in terms of betrothals and Viserys, having sex in a very public place. she was clearly upset and holding back tears when she confronts Rhaenyra that first time, but she isn't especially angry. she's angry when Rhaenyra lied to her face on her dead mother's name, going so far as to act upset and offended Alicent could ever insinuate anything about her, played the victim, had sex with two separate people in one night and said she was still a maiden (from Alicent's perspective she couldn't have known Rhaenyra only tried to have sex with Daemon and was unsuccessful, she could only believe that she had sex with both Daemon and Criston), and then used her power to have her father (the only person Alicent had) banished from kings landing, all the while she had put her ass on the line for her in front of Viserys, who never believed Rhaenyra to begin with. it wasn't simply the fact that Rhaenyra had sex, she's mad because Rhaenyra used her, hurt her, did harm to her name and the work both she and Viserys had put towards giving her a choice no royal girl, especially a princess, could ever imagine, and she spit in their faces.

there's also the fact that Cole admitted IMMEDIATELY what had transpired, asked not for forgiveness but for death, and admitted that it was dubcon. it's a very different situation. she also sympathized with the fact he felt great remorse for both the act of sleeping with the princess but also his breakdown that lead to the murder of Joffery. all we see is her stopping him and then a near decade has passed and they are close friends, we know nothing of how this friendship evolved, when she fully forgave him for his acts, what it took for him to earn her trust and forgiveness.

not saying either of them are saintly and perfectly correct in that situation, but you boil it down to the point that the situation is unrecognizable. you ignored all of the nuance on both sides. Alicent was never mad about the sex, upset yes, mad no, she was mad at how Rhaenyra could hurt her so horribly (amongst many other things. I don't think she, someone who shared her grief with Rhaenyra over their dead mother's, could ever get over how Rhaenyra lied on her name. me personally? I'd be sick to my stomach every time I looked at her for the rest of my days). Cole was coerced into sex, which he was honest and seeked death for repentance, had a breakdown and murdered someone (I won't defend this, you can't, he did murder an innocent person, that is a fact) but felt so guilty he tried to kill himself and seemingly spent the last 10ish years making up for it (where as I can name multiple people Rhaenyra outright in level head and mind maimed/murdered/otherwise allowed or dismissed the deaths/injury of, for her own goals and didn't give a second thought to so.... girly walks atop barely cooled corpse's time and time again).

A glimpse into the future of the Peaceful Timeline

"Stop making that face, child," Megatron ordered Maria in his bipedal mode.

Maria stopped rubbing her hands around the stick to try and make the fire for herself. She then stared up at Megatron in annoyance. "I'm twenty-six, Papa."

"Well, you're acting like you're six," Megatron accused her.

Maria rolled her eyes as she continued trying to start the fire. "Are you going to help me or just accuse me of stuff?"

"It has been a week since we started this trip, but not once have you actually enjoyed it," Megatron proclaimed, "This is something you've always wanted, but now you're not happy."

"You know why I'm not feeling so great right now," Maria hissed at him.

"Your mother let you go," Megatron reminded.

"Yeah, after we had that massive argument," Maria retorted as she rubbed the stick harder, "I wanted to leave with a clear mind, but instead, I've made Mama upset and she just gave me that stupid look of disappointment."

The fire finally lit, and Maria gently blew on it to let it burn brighter. "I'm pretty sure she hates me for it."

Megatron crossed his arms. "It sounds like you are more upset at yourself at hurting your mother."

"Maybe?! Yes?!" Maria exclaimed, "I really wanted to go and travel the world and she knows that I wanted to do it! And you're with me! Why was it such a big deal?!"

"Because it was the world that hurt her," Megatron reminded.

"The Eldian Empire hurt her, and it's long gone," Maria proclaimed.

"...Your mother and I talk," Megatron told her, "Eldians weren't the only ones who hurt her."

Maria looked up at Megatron and sighed. "Well, I guess being the daughter of the Eldian king means that I'm still finding ways to hurt her, aren't I?"

"By the Allspark, you and your mother share the same amount of self-loathing," Megatron declared in annoyance, "Firelight, we have all talked about this with you. You are not your father's daughter."

"I know!" Maria yelled in frustration as she stood up and began to pace, "It just doesn't go away after telling me and hurting Mama doesn't help either! This was something I wanted! She didn't support me! I got angry and then I hurt her! How does that make me any better than the people who hurt her?!"

"Firelight, you didn't kill anyone!" Megatron retorted.

"Not all acts of evil start off with murder!" Maria interjected.

"Okay, did you subjugate anyone?! Make anyone your slave?!" Megatron challenged her.

"No!" Maria yelled.

"Then why do you still believe you will end up like the Eldian king?" Megatron demanded her, "We raised you better than that."

Maria sat back down on the ground. "I guess...I don't trust myself."

Maria yelped when Megatron scooped her up in his servo and brought her up to optic level.

"I suppose no amount of us telling you we trust and love you will change how you feel," Megatron surmised, "This is something that you will need to believe in yourself for."

Maria sighed in response.

"Even so, no matter how you feel, I will never abandon you," Megatron declared, "Not now. Not ever. No matter how you turn out. I will always be there for you."

Maria shyly glanced up at Megatron and gave a small smile. "Thanks, Papa."

"Now please enjoy this trip. I don't want you sulking the entire time," Megatron told her, causing her to laugh.

"Alright! I gotta make sure my fire's fine," Maria remembered, "Put me down."

Megatron gently placed her back down on the ground, allowing Maria to return to her burning flame.

so uh. how we feelin right about now

Bro, I don't even know anymore. I'm STILL processing everything that happened in that episode.

I'm probably going to ramble about it beneath the cut. Spoiler warning!

1)The palisman egg. It's such a PERFECT thing for Luz to carve but PLEASE I JUST WANT TO SEE WHAT IT IS OH MY GOD. Literally praying that it's a bat. Still have to wait a week (or possibly until season 3 ;-;) to find out. Frothing at the mouth.

2) The Day of Unity. I will BET MONEY that Belos succeeds with the Day of Unity and season 3 is the gang dealing with the aftermath. That seems to be the pattern for stories like this (the end-of-arc-2 failure, etc)

3) The collector. He literally made a deal with Belos with a pinky swear. This kid is obviously being taken advantage of/lied to but is ALSO evil. I love how his interactions with Belos vs his rambles to himself keep us guessing. I have a lot of thoughts about his connection with King, and how Belos definitely lit the Moon Mirror on fire the same way King was made to. They're probably the only ones that can see and hear the shadow, and the only reason why Luz and Hunter were able to see him in Belos's memory was BECAUSE it was a memory. Lowkey hoping that he has an actual name reveal too. Calling him The Collector feels vaguely de-humanizing.

4) You know when they explain the plan in a show that it's going to go wrong. No one is safe and I am so scared. Also those "Steve/Eber is the Traitor" theories out there. If either of them are, I will literally riot. If ANY of the CATTs are a traitor I will riot. This show is giving me STRESS.

5) GUS WILLOW AND HUNTER. I WAS NOT EXPECTING THEM IN THIS EP. HUNTER'S FRIENDSHIP W GUS. NEW OUTFITS. HUNTER AND LUZ TALKING ABOUT HOLLOW MIND. That ENTIRE section of them kicking ass when getting to Amity. These kids man.

6) LUMITY KISS WITH HIGH ANIMATION QUALITY. NEED I SAY MORE.

7) Epic divorce, Blight parents. We love to see it. Does anyone else think there's symbolism in the oracle magic being used against the abomination magic? Hope Ed and Em are okay.

8) I have. SO many emotions over The Switch. I went into this episode BLIND and I knew Luz's plan that she whispered to Gus was still in play, but I had no clue what it was. I couldn't trust anything on the screen knowing that Gus was doing something. Was Alador an illusion? No, because he had King with him, and Gus wouldn't have known that. Kikimora was actually hitting stuff, so those weren't illusions either. When "Luz" teleported and saved Willow I just thought "Oh, maybe Luz's palisman helped her out there?" When "Hunter" blew a raspberry at Kiki I was like "I... guess he can put aside his trauma and literally do nothing to save himself for the sole purpose of antagonizing Kiki?" I literally had NO IDEA they switched until the illusion was broken. I lost my goddamn mind.

9) Even with all these emotional whiplash moments the only time I outright gasped was seeing Willow go sicko mode. Cape flapping in the wind and everything. Yes girl give us murder. Coven officials are LUCKY they have Luz to hide behind or else these witches would have killed them.

10) I am. SO EXCITED for more Belos and Luz interactions. It's going to be terrifying. It's going to be GREAT. Two humans in the demon realm what will they do.

I really don't understand their father. It's one thing to kove one child more than the others and it's another to do ... what he did. It was an era of misogyny, they were his sons. I get that he didn't live Alicent but still seriously?

Oh boy, you just bought yourself an essay.

Fair warning, this is gonna get a little Team Green-y. I will add a disclaimer that I am fully on Team Green, but I'm not like, a dick about it, ya know?

If you want a full essay on why I'm Team Green, I can give that to you, but it'll take a little bit of time bc I wanna cite my sources n' stuff. For now let's focus on the content of this ask specifically.

I'll start off by saying that ol' Vizzy T 100% sucks. No argument about that.

However, I don't agree that he didn't love Alicent. Remember, he chose her over more politically advantageous matches specifically because he already had an emotional connection with her. No, he didn't love her in the same way he loved Aemma. Maybe it wasn't even love, just a little bit of affection. But he was happy with her.

And he loved Aegon too! Of course, he was never going to love his children with Alicent as much as Rhaenyra, because he has that whole "my daughter is the last trace of the wife I loved & murdered" complex going on. But he wasn't always indifferent to them. We saw him play with him and speak of him affectionately in Episode 3. He threw a whole big hunt for his nameday, which it's suggested he didn't do for Rhaenyra (which is a dick move, but it proves my point that he did love Aegon).

Enter Rhaenyra in petty mode. Now, does she have a valid right to be angry that her father married her best friend? Yes, absolutely. But in my opinion, she doesn't have a valid reason to be angry with Alicent. It was her father who declared he wanted to marry Alicent, and him being King, poor girl didn't have much of an option to say no, did she? Yet Rhaenyra directs almost all her anger at her former best friend rather than her father and Otto, who are really to blame.

This culminates in two specific instances in which Rhaenyra's words and actions leads to Viserys distancing himself from Alicent and his children by her.

The first happens in Episode 3. You know, the same episode where we briefly saw that Viserys was a loving father to Aegon? When Rhaenyra and Viserys have their conversation in the Small Council chamber, and she says, essentially "you're going to replace me and sell me off and I hate that you married my best friend. In essence, it's a guilt trip.

Her feelings about this are valid, but she's overreacting slightly, in my estimation. Viserys has only suggested one suitor to her, and he never said she had to marry Jason Lannister. And at this point, he has never even hinted that he wanted to replace her as heir.

This doesn't seem like much, but I think it's important to note that after this conversation, we never again see Viserys interact directly with any of his and Alicent's children outside of him yelling at them on Driftmark. He doesn't even directly address them at the dinner in Episode 8. It is at this moment he realized that the very existence of his younger children is harming his relationship with Rhaenyra, and so he chooses to distance himself from them (but it doesn't stop him from continuing to get Alicent pregnant).

The second instance is after the "brothel incident," where Rhaenyra very pointedly redirects Viserys' anger at Alicent and Otto. Now, for Otto, he kind of had it coming. But for Alicent? Who that very day tried to defend and protect Rhaenyra? That is just cruel, and petty, and wrong.

But by framing Alicent as simply Otto's pawn, Rhaenyra effectively finished driving a wedge between them. He doesn't associate with his children anymore, and he only ever uses his wife as a nursemaid and sometimes advisor. All to protect the tenuous bond he has with the daughter that he feels is his only way to atone for what he did to Aemma.

As bad as I feel for Rhaenyra with her feeling betrayed that he father married her best friend, and the threat of losing her position (which is never actually on the table, I must repeat), what she did to Alicent and her children is flat out wrong. Her anger was valid, but misdirected and used in a petty, vengeful manner.

It was wrong of Rhaenyra to basically force him to choose, but it was also wrong of him to make that decision. He chose to marry Alicent, and chose to have children with her. Then he chose to disinherit Aegon, and later to effectively abandon all of them. He is, for all intents and purposes, an absent father.

Another post that I can't find at the moment (if someone has a linke please send it to me and I'll add it here) pointed out that the great irony of this is that, in Alicent's children, all his dreams were fulfilled. He had the firstborn son and heir he always wanted in Aegon, a true dragon dreamer in Helaena, and a fellow scholar, as well as a dragonriding warrior, in Aemond.

Viserys, as ever, is the biggest bad guy in this story. He did not handle his relationship with Rhaenyra well, and then he let her ruin the relationship he had with the rest of his family (because they are his family, and Rhaenyra's, though she won't admit it).

In the end, he was a bad father to all his children, and we should all make fun of him to try and make up for it. I'll start:

Rhaenyra only finds Arrax's remains because Luke survived, but lost his memory and now has a very good business selling fish.

When Rhaenyra returns to Dragonstone she finds Daemon getting ready, he comforts her and before leaving he tells her "Our son will be avenged, I promise you."

Jayne agrees to support Rhaenyra and in addition to her phrase from the book she says "fuck the greens"

Jacaerys and Cregan get along very well and since Jace grew up with Daemon he is open-minded, so, seal the deal of ice and fire under the weirwood with Cregan with lots of kisses and we have content +18 when they go to the wall.

Aegon is upset by the complaints about the bay's closure and blames his mother because she promised him that everyone knew he was the true king.

Mysaria, in revenge against Alicent for burning her house, joins Daemon to plan Blood and Cheese, the plan unlike the book is a comedy show with kidnapping, not a murder.

Helaena tries to flee with Jaehaerys, but falls and by mistake Jaehaerys's head is cut off by Blood's sword.

Jace defends Daemon for having avenged Luke and all the blacks on the council accept the son x son.

Rhaena secretly writes to the greens “eye for eye, son for son. xoxo gossip girl”

Aegon's drowns in alcohol as he blames Aemond and his mother for his son's death

Aemond feels no remorse and Otto and Alicent blame him for Jaehaerys' death.

Helaena is mentally unwell, but is forced by Otto and convinced by Alicent to go to the funeral. After the attack in Flea Bottom her mental health is worse, she attacks and blames Alicent for the death of her son and her mother locks her up. People start calling her the crazy queen.

Maelor does not exist, nor will he exist.

Rhaenyra goes to Harrenhal to confront Daemon for Blood and Cheese, when she asks him he only answers “yes, and?” Then they have sex and are still happy.

Rhaenyra doesn't stray from the council as long as she does in the book, but Jace still has great power and Rhaenyra considers all of his opinions.

Nettles does not exist and will not exist either. The plot of Daemon's “lover” was omitted and the plot of her appearance will go to Addam and Alyn.

Balea thinks Jacaerys looks strange and he confesses that he had sex in the north, but to not make her feel bad he says that Cregan is Sara Snow.

Aegon fires Otto, but did not want to appoint Criston and Alicent convinces him to do so.

The battle with Rhaenys does not have many changes from the book, it is the queen who never was and the red queen against everyone.

Baela had followed Rhaenys, but since Moondancer is small, she arrives when the battle is over so she can take Rhaenys's remains.

Aegon is completely burned, the people in KL see his return as a bad sign because the blacks still have dragons and the green king is now useless.

When Meleys' head is brought in, people attack Alicent when she is praying and accuse her of bringing disgrace to the capital because of her ambition.

Rhaenyra delivers food dressed as a septa in KL when Alicent goes to pray before her attack she thinks she is going crazy at the sight of a septa that looks like Rhaenyra.

After the attack Alicent dreams of her in the lake and Rhaenyra is in front of her on the other shore, there he decides to go see her secretly at Dragonstone

The Blackwoods show why they are the best house with Aly and Ben in psycho killer mode.

Alys is a witch waiting for the arrival of royal blood to have a child. She only annoys Daemon, but she is not against him because she took Harrenhal without killing people and warns him of Aemond's plan to take Harrenhal.

Corlys does not get angry at Rhaenyra for Rhaenys' death because his anger against the greens is greater.

Addam and Alyn are legitimized as Corlys' children and everyone is happy, new happy family.

Alicent tries to stop the war and visits Rhaenyra in Dragonstone, Alicent bows, they talk and Alicent apologizes for Luke's death hoping to receive an apology from Rhaenyra for Jaehaerys' death, but she only says "thank you, next" and leaves her free to return to KL

The season ends with Jace's plan to get his younger brothers to safety. Joff and Rhaena will go to the Vale while Aegon and Viserys will go to Essos. The last scene is of Rhaenyra and Jace watching the two ships go away and Tyraxes flying away.

Okay, I have a very-very stupid joke, but I think, I'm going to die, if I don't tell it. This is going to be a very bad and dumb and unfunny joke, I'm sorry. In this joke, the reader is 18+ years old!

You dragged your demon king to a human holiday fair. You and your yandere dad walked around the fair until very late in the evening. You're both in female guises, because why not? And when everything is almost ready, when these men are ready to have fun, you and Muzan appear before them in all your demonic glory and cruelly, for a long time, having pleasure and fun, punish them. There's blood and pieces of flesh everywhere. You both decide, that these dregs are not worthy to be eaten by you. And you also rob their house, because you liked this painting, and that statuette is beautiful, you want one.

Yeah, a group of punks didn't get the hint, Muzan was warned about them from an elderly lady, so when they approached her baby and herself, she was on guard. "What are you beautiful ladies doing around this town?" one questioned, winking at Reader.

"We are on holiday, aren't we ma?" Reader smiled at Muzan, Muzan smiled back. "Yes, we are, may I ask who you gentlemen are?"

"We can give you the time of your life, as long as you don't tell your husband." Another boy told Muzan, he obviously was fancing her disguise. "And I could show you the time of your life~!"

Yeah, Muzan went into rage mode. Within seconds she murdered the group of punks and in a fit of rage she torched down the village. Reader said: "We could have just turned down the offer."

"Don't think that you aren't off the hook, my child." Muzan hissed at Reader, while she dragged reader back to their home. "Excuse me? I didn't do anything!"

"You put yourself in danger, I suggest you shut your mouth unless you want to be isolated for a decade!"

Hey! So i noticed the chapter count went up in HGRT and i was wondering how you figure that out. Like, i think it's got to do with outlining, but how do you figure out exactly ? You outline and have a number of chapters and then you revisit your outline and then change the number of chapters? I'm curious because the chapter count went from 43 to 50 within weeks. Did the storyline change or you wanted to break chapters into two or something else ? It's just that, I've seen many authors (fanfic) say that the muse just ran with it and they wrote several chapters because of that and your approach seems so orderly so i was curious how rigour outline worked ?

It's just been bugging me so i asked. Thank you for the awesome fic btw. Your fic just makes sense yknow. Rhaenyra was a 40 something old war veteran that lost all her children but one (probably she thinks her half brother would kill her remaining son after making him watch her die) and suddenly somehow she's alive and a maiden once again. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if she were to just murder all of the greens (poisoning or whatever) and just take her throne. But she tries so hard to make peace and yet shit hits the fan. And even then she's compassionate enough to have kids and raise them (also Laena's kid too) without burdening them with the expectation of her past kids. Yes she thinks about it but who wouldn't. She ultimately doesn't put the pressure of her past kids on them. Same with the final scene of chapter 18. She thinks about killing the babe and just be done with it. But she doesn't. It says a lot about who she is. Also loved the scene with Viserys where she just went full on bad bitch mode and pointed out all his wrongdoings. Plus I love Daemon's arc. I love that even more than grrm to be honest. Maybe Rhaenyra will marry him if Cregan dies. Maybe not. But Daemon, the legendary warrior who was bestowed with Dark sister when he was just 16, brought a whole ass army to support his brother's claim ( when he was just a kid and Corlys the seasnake could've bought off Lords with the promise of Laenor being King instead of his wife being Queen, cause that's the man he is; i legit think Corlys could've won putting his son's claim if it weren't for Daemon and his dragon ) is not just a hanger on. He loves his family yes. But he is so much more. And I'm loving the King Daemon arc.

The chapter count went up first because I had to break last chapter into two and move some scenes (originally the chapter was going to be Rhaenyra's POV followed by Daemon's and then hers again but mildway of the first section I realised I had too long of a time span to cover then I broke the scenes and moved them for next chapter) and in the last days because I have been fleshing out the second part of this fic, which means I make Wikipedia-esque summaries of the scenes per POV, in that process I often realise that I have to add more chapters for characterization' sake, pacing, among other things.

I started HGRT with a 70 page long outline with the storyline all done. Since that the storyline has changed a lot, expecially on Daemon's side and on the Greens. I was fine just using that one as guide until Chapter 15 where I realised I needed a firmer help to control my POVs. So I started another outline with every scene detailed starting from Chapter 16. Right now that outline is planned on detail till Chapter 33 and is 50 chapters long counting the prologue and epilogue. Though that might change depending on how I advance with the story.

With my other stories I am more careful now and most of them are being outlined chapter by chapter along with the storyline but is not settled yet. Except the Rhaegar/Lyanna one, which has a storyline outline like HGRT had.

Thank you, I am glad you are liking it and yes it makes sense, doesn't it? I guess with how prickly I am about comments saying Rhaenyra should kill all the Greens I give the impression I don't like those kind of stories but I mean... They are fine for a one-shot, not for a long fic, at least not in my way of writing this kind of time travel. There is also the fact that, yes, Rhaenyra is a hardened war veteran but she is also a human being. And she didn't kill Alicent in canon when she had her in her power for months, she didn't kill her half-siblings first chance and listened Daemon's terms of doing more diplomacy... That doesn't sound to me as someone who would just go in a murder spree. On the core, as much as she is bitter and tired, humans often don't stay in one single emotion all their lives. That's why I think Rhaenyra being just a murder machine doesn't work for a long story because that's not who she is. Rhaenyra was ruthless, yes, Tyland Lannister could attest of that, but compared to fucking Aegon and Aemond she was a saint. And I never read around in the book that she enjoyed murder.

This kind of thinking, along with the one around Daemon, I think, comes from the idea that sadly the show promoted of Targaryens being just mindless lusty, murderous murder people, even when everything in canon points to the contrary and it amazes me how the same fandom that makes excuses for Tywin Lannister or has compassion for Sandor Cregane goes around characterising two of the more actually normal Targaryens as 'uwu murder babies who only thing about murder and fucking'.

The show just hurt both characters by continuing that idiotic narrative, which is honestly so dehumanising and boring as fuck. I swear, I can't contain how boring it is to see these two fascinating characters made into two-dimensional killing and fucking machines that happen to have dragons.

I mean, I guess one should expect it from the fandom considering Dany is a fucking human marshmallow and the fandom is obsessed with deshumanizing her and turning into a power hungry killing machine too. She and Daemon even have the coincidence of having the only actor that more or less read the books and wanted more emotion for their character while the producers/fandom want them to feel nothing.

The reason I put the scene with Rhaenyra and Aerys in the last chapter was precisely to illustrate how ridiculous it is that the fandom just expects everyone to write murder so lightly. That is not something a good writer swaps under the rough. Like, I don't even think B&C was written as 'uwu Daemon is so bad and he ordered killing a child'. B&C had an emotional motivation of a parent losing a child and wanting revenge in a equal manner of his and his partner's suffering. That is more of an emotional motivation than guys like, I dare say, Sandor Clegane or Jaime Lannister had to hurt a child. And yet they are the fandom darlings and somehow Daemon is 'Chaotic Evil?' Give me a break.

It's easier to say than done and is easier to write murder as something easy. What is difficult is to delve into the head of a traumatised woman and make her ask herself if again spilling the blood of an innocent child would make anything better or would that make her worse?

On Daemon's arc, thank you and I guess his arc is sort of a reverse of what the show did, which was keeping him subservient and hungry for Viserys's approval until the end with no character development. I knew in the moment that I added the flogging that his whole storyline would take a different turn from both canon, but so far I am happy with it. And happy that more people see him as his character and not just a card to play murder in the Dance.

Liù'ěr Míhóu joins the jttw gang, or: How to redeem an all-hearing celestial monkey with a superiority complex and a seriously bad attitude

Chapter Twelve: Sūn Wùkōng contemplates

Sūn Wùkōng had committed a lot of crimes over the course of his life, war crimes even.

But if there was one crime he wasn't guilty of, it was sexual assault.¹

Yes, that was mostly, because the Monkey King was repulsed by sex, but the point still stood. So the revelation, that the Six-Eared Macaque had been taken advantage of in such a way (especially in a state, where he couldn't fight back), had sickened the Great Sage.

It had opened his eyes as well. He had always thought, that Liù'ěr Míhóu was a lunatic, but now he knew the truth: the white monkey had been screwed over (sometimes literally) by almost everyone he'd met in the worst possible ways and his attempt at hijacking their journey had sprung from the want to prove, that he wasn't weak, that he was strong and ruthless and capable of accomplishing great things.

Wùkōng could respect that.

And while he had never been assaulted, he too had been screwed over in many ways. Forty-nine years in the Trigram Furnace², then another five-hundred of being imprisoned under a mountain and being fed molten copper and iron pellets, had taken a toll on him.

How much of a toll he'd never told anyone and Wùkōng wondered, if Liù'ěr Míhóu had ever told anyone about his own suffering, before pouring his heart out to them and Tripitaka. The Six-Eared Macaque had mentioned a crow demoness he was friends with, but did she know …?

Well, it didn't matter.

After everything Wùkōng had learned, he no longer hated the Six-Eared Macaque.

In fact, it had awoken something in him.

He knew what that something was; it was the same feeling he felt for his monkey subjects and for the other pilgrims.

The desire to take care of someone, to keep them safe.

Sūn Wùkōng was the Monkey King. He was also Tripitaka's first disciple.

Which meant that the Six-Eared Macaque – being both a monkey and fellow disciple – was under special protection now.

Of course Wùkōng wouldn't tell the Macaque that; he had a reputation to uphold!

The Monkey King wasn't quite sure, when exactly he had grown protective over the other monkey.

But his Protective Big Brother Mode was activated now and there was no going back.

And clearly the others felt the same.

None of them had liked the Six-Eared Macaque in the beginning, yet it seemed that after less than two months they all had reached the point, where they would gladly go on a killing spree to avenge their newly acquired brother.

Hells, Bái Lóng Mă had outright asked Liù'ěr Míhóu, if there were any perpetrators still alive to be murdered in cold blood!

Tripitaka had chided him, but there had been way less conviction than usual behind his lecture. Not only that, there had been an unsettling darkness over his eyes and a sharp edge to his smile.

The sight had made Wùkōng freeze in fear. Irrational, yes, but with that expression being so similar to when Tripitaka was about to speak the Tightening Mantra, he had panicked on the inside. Tripitaka hadn't noticed his eldest disciple's affliction, because he had been busy comforting his youngest disciple.

This was fine.

Wùkōng had just been silly and the situation wasn't about him.

It was about Liù'ěr Míhóu.

So maybe Wùkōng just needed to get his arse up and stop being scared.

Was he even scared? Why else would he have been so startled, when his master's anger had not been directed at him this time?

He didn't know.

He didn't know and he hated it.

so voldermort is SUCH an awful antagonist and my main gripe with him is that he isn't hot. yes, this is going somewhere.

but, at the same time, what exactly is voldemort's quality of life? why does he want to live forever? he starts off as a handsome boy and gets slowly turned into an egghead with no nose! he's played by ralph fiennes and he is not hot, i cannot stress that enough. wizards tend to live very long lives as is, remember that dumbledore died at 150 or so! voldemort dies the second time at 70, after dying the first time at about 50?? come on. so he's fugly as hell, he doesn't want to have fun or fuck bitches or eat good food or live like a king or watch an endless amount of soap operas. he just wants to live a noseless existence?? what a joke. had he not meddled with anything, he could have lived well past dumbledore's age, because he, too, had a few more good years left in him, but he wastes himself away with the horcruxes. and doesn't even use them properly? he is vanquished from his body once by baby harry, but why does it take until book 1 for him to become corporeal again? isn't that a pretty shit immortality system?

his political goals don't make a whole lot of sense either. ok, he wants to rule over muggles bc wizards are so very superior. cool. but how is that feasible? there are a lot more muggles than wizards and they have all kinds of weapons, including fucked up shit like carpet bombing and drones and WMDs. i don't really see how wizards would stand a chance in an all-out war. also, jk really sells him out short. bc she is so very british-centric in her view, she doesn't consider the international implications of this (lol). say britain got conquered by weird-ass people who can perform magic spells. are the european union (hail pre-brexit times) and the US just gonna sit on their arses while this happens? are the rest of the wizards in other countries just gonna stand by? please be serious.

SMG4: Revival AU notes

((These are mostly little tidbits and notes for an AU I’m making for SMG4, or rather, I’ve been working on for awhile, called Revival, which mostly has Axol come back to life))

** the ending to Revelations gets changed, instead of both Niles and SMG0 dying, Niles splits from SMG0 and launches him to the others, sacrificing himself to let Zero have a second chance

**SMG0 stays at Meggy’s hotel for th meantime, with both Melony and Meggy bonding with him regarding losing Niles

**after the credits roll, we see SMG0 in his room, praying that Niles be forgiven for what he did.

**surprisingly, Niles appears in SMG0′s rom, alive.

** the two hug and have a good long cry

**Axol is brought back to life shortly thereafter, being found by both Niles and SMG0, who take him to the hospital

**Axol’s friend from the afterlife, Garcello (yes our boi Garcello from FnF) also gets revived

** Unlike Niles and Garcello, Axol doesn’t come back in one piece. He’s missing his right arm, his left eye, some of his frills, and his internal organs, he’s also paralyzed from the waist down

** Axol does regain his frills, eye, and organs, and learns to walk again, but his right arms is gone for good, so he has a prosthetic now

** Belle and Tari help Axol adjust to using a prosthetic (them having Mreta Runner  arms and all) while Meggy, Melony, Niles and SMG0 help with physical therapy

** Axol and Melony rekindle their relationship, and start living together

**SMG0 and Niles start dating as well

** Garcello and Axol reunite, along with Garcy’s friend Annie, and Chris (Rapping Demons mod)

** the three boys learn that Garcello’s friend King (Post Mortem Mixup mod) gave the three a second chance at life, as he’d done it before with three other people, BF and GF being two such people.

** Axol can now see spirits, which include seeing Desti, SPudnick, and Fred following their friends. He hasn’t seen Greg or Terrance follow Mario or SMG3 though

** Garcello has the ability to go back and forth being human and a ghost, curtesy of his cigarettes

** Boopkins is a therapist to both Axol and SMG0, while SMG3 takes care of Niles and his own therapy

** Garcello, Annie, and Chris become part of the SMG4 crew

**during Axol’s initial recovery, Kaizo’s brought out of the game

** Axol reveals that he drew Kaizo’s design, along with Saiko’s.Mario calls him their dad, only to get promptly smacked by Saiko

** Because Chris is a demon, Shroomy did try to kill him once, until Annie threatened him by drinking “THE LIQUID”

** Let’s just say Shroomy’s now terrified of her.

** Axol was also believed to have been a demon by Shroomy, until Melony scared him in her deity mode

** Niles tries out various ritual games, like Hide and Seek Alone, The Bath Game, and Baby Blue.

** Niles winds up getting possessed by Francis in Hide and Seek Alone

** Even though it’s been confirmed SMG no longer stands for Super Mario Glitchy, SMG3 still calls SMG4 Glitchy, mostly as a pet name.

** SMG0 gets compared a lot to N from Murder Drones, while Niles gets compared to Angel Dust

** Niles has a very bad case of stage fright, and only prefers to sing around SMG0, who he’s comfortable with.

** Back in Mage, SMG0 and Fred both gave Niles his first kiss

** SMG0 has a terrible fear of thunderstorms, as a result, Niles usually sings to him to help calm him down during storms, one song in particular being Seasons of Love from Rent

** Garcello has a stuffed bear from when he was young named “Beetle-Bear”, a green bear wearing a striped hoodie, named after Beetlejuice. He was made by Gar and his dad when he was only 6 years old

** Garcello was adopted when he was 6, his father being Lucks from Meta Runner (this has been my headcanon for over a year do not judge me!)

** If woken up, Melony and SMG0 get cranky, same for SMG2 and JubJub.

** Boopkins has a Pikachu harness he uses to keep an eye on JubJub

** Rob somehow becomes friends with Zardy

** Niles is a top while SMG0 is a bottom

** SMG0 is not a virgin, having lost it to Fred back in Mage before Niles showed up.

** before Niles came along, Fred and SMG0 were friends with benefits

** When Bob tried getting Melony to sing “Can I put my balls in your jaws” Axol shut it down, handing her a different rap. Bob was about to call him out, until Melony started singing Stringer than you from Steven Universe, looking right at Bob and singing “Well, I think you’re just mad you’re still single.”

** Not even King could bring Bob back after that one.

** Mario once tried making fun of Annie for her height. He learned his lesson the hard way.

** Mario once asked why Niles and SMG0 were gay, Niles responded by asking Mario why he’s still bitchless

On the 21st June 1813 the lawyer and poet W E Aytoun was born.

Born in Edinburgh, of a family of literary tastes his father, Roger Aytoun,was writer to the Signet, a private society of Scottish solicitors, dating back to 1594 and part of the College of Justice, the fierce Jacobitism and love of ballads of his mother, Joan Keir Aytoun, had a lasting influence upon Aytoun’s own political and literary preferences., which was to impact upon Aytoun’s own interests, and aid them in turn when he was preparing his Ballads of Scotland collection for publication.

Having tentatively followed his father into law, Aytoun was appointed Professor of Rhetoric and Belles Lettres at Edinburgh University in 1845. It was in this post that he excelled, and details of his lectures have led to him being declared ‘the first modern professor of English literature’. Prior to this appointment, his early works as a poet were the subject of inclusion in the renowned Blackwood’s Magazine, and he would go on to become an important contributor to the magazine in a number of guises. Indeed, his literary criticism exhibited much of the keen sense of parody that was the defining feature of his acclaimed dramatic verse, 'Firmilian’.

Working in a less comic mode, Aytoun produced the Lays of the Scottish Cavaliers, which remains one of his best known works, it wasn’t just Jacobitism in, Edinburgh After Flodden , a 15 verse classic, he brings the news to the Capital of our greatest defeat to the citizens of Edinburgh, in Charles Edward At Versailles, Aytoun puts himself into Bonnie Prince Charlie’s head as he is in his room on the Anniversary of Culloden thinking of the ghosts that haunt him…

Sooooo  a lot happened. Am I disappointed? Hell no, I loved all of it. I also love how Camila even though she was scared/didn’t understand anything she was still very much in mama bear/caring for ALL the kids mode. I LOVE HER.

I also love how she’s still trying to help her baby girl in all this struggle. I hope this marks some self healing for Luz and that she’s forgiving herself. I LOVED her Palisman its original and unique just like Luz :3. I LOVED how Camila is trying to embrace her nerd side she suppressed when she bonded with Hunter/Gus XD.

Loved how Rain got all anime “oooh” over Eda’s owl form... what I’m surprised is that King hasn’t tried to ask the Collector to remove her curse... I mean IF he’s that mysterious one who made the owl beast curse.

Uhhh am I shocked that Kikimora went all nutso and tried to be King or whatever... nah she’s been hinted early on to be nuts and the stereotypical villain we see in cartoons. 

King... I feel sooo sorry for King because he’s just like Luz trying to save everyone and help everyone. I wanna just squeeze that adorable baby! (also who also thought it was cute that Camila basically said almost the same thing Luz said when she first saw King XD)

Then we have the Collector... uhh I’m gonna be blunt I feel more sorry for him than I do Belos. And I know thats gonna shock fandom or offend people cause I know since the last ep came out I heard nothing but “Philip sympathy” stuff. To a degree I got it... but until something changes... sorry/not sorry I don’t feel a LOT of sympathy for Belos/Philip. The whole “being haunted” by his murdered victims and still refusing to take responsibility. I don’t see a “Oh Philip’s been brainwashed” or “Philip loved his brother so much thats why he went on a murderous rampage and killed his brother Caleb SOOO deserved to die”. Philip is literally LOOKING at his sins and refuses to acknowledge what he is. He’s... he’s Kikimora they are characters who could have had good potential in another path but choose to follow the bad one. Again CHOOSE.

I love him as a villain this is great stuff. But heh... its a mix on sympathy... I mean I dunno have him do a Vader moment where he does something to SAVE Luz... oh wait no he’s not... he’s gonna kill Luz and her friends/mother or try to have the Collector do it for him. So yeah no.

But back to the Collector.. we don’t know much about his past/background/or species? (and thats not all Dana Terrace’s fault... thats YOUR FAULT DISNEY) But from what I can guess... there’s something hidden he didn’t want King to find out. And its hinting he might be somewhat anxious from being left in solitude in wherever he was banished to. So yes for a brief moment when he asked King to let Françoise stay with him. I felt sorry for the god like/or child like Bill powered character here. I mean heck he’s referring to Odalia as Mamadlia. I feel like thats hinting he wants what the others have... but he’s either not understanding or whatever I dunno I’m not a whatever psychiatrist.  

Anything else... I admit I wonder what Belos is planning... I get why he’s manipulating the Collector... but what is his ultimate goal.... is he actually gonna kill himself just to end the demon realm (I assume he would if he posses puppet Rain and again GUESSING if he gets the Draining spell working again... wouldn’t that mean he’d go with his puppet host?). Does he hope that turning the Collector against the demon realm? Or have that enough so he can continue the draining spell? I mean his body was literally falling apart on him... I just am trying to figure out what his end game here... I mean even if he possesses toy Rain... what will he do? He hates them all so much that he wanted to go back to the Human world... so would he just go back in what he possessed... Or does he have an actual plan B and the Collector is just a distraction?

But also... how did Belos know where Lilith/Eda were hiding? oO I mean I guess puppet Rain heard things? maybe but that wasn’t established.... yet.

Also ... what did Luz see in that inbetween world? Was it another Collector?... Is it a creature? Evelyn? Another Titan?... Caleb’s spirit?

Also.... Hunter/Willow.... they HELD HANDS(sorta) THEY WERE BOTH BLUSHINGGGGG! Come on people we saw it she was blushing when he saved her!! And when Willow had ... I wanna say panic attack?  or just say the pressure finally caved on her. Moment he heard her put herself down and refer to herself as a “half witch”. He broke those vines and went to her! He told her she meant a LOT to him. That moment!! GAH THATS LIKE AMITY/LUZ! Its those moments that make me love the ship! And GAHHHH he was blushing when she said it back later!! THEY ARE JUST LIKE AMITY/LUZ TOOO PURE FOR THIS! I LOVE THEM SOOO MUCH!!  And Belos/Philip better leave them alone or I dunno wish more bad luck on him. I say that cause he pretty much hated Evelyn... so how is he gonna like it when he sees that his “nephew” fell for a witch just like Caleb.

hi omg okay permission to infodump???? if you say yes i will reblog this and ramble for half an hour. actually i don;t want to wait so im just gonna put it under the cut (skip to the end for a very short summarized verison of everything)

SO THIS IS THE LEAD SINGER AND HIS CHARACTER IS JONNY DVILLE (he’s played by jonny sims) AND SO THEYRE ALL IMMORTAL SPACE PIRATES BTW AND SO IT’S SIMILAR TO A MUSICAL

SO TO BECOME IMMORTAL THEY GOT A PART OF THEIR BODY REPLACED BY SOMETHING WHICH IS CALLED THEIR MECHANISM(hence the band name) AND SO JONNYS IS HIS HEART AND SO HE HAS A MECHANICAL HEARt  AND HE GOT MECHANISED BY THIS VAMPIRE NAMED DR CARMILLA WHO LEFT THE BAND;  SHE ORIGINALLY FORMED THE BAND TO BE HER BACKING BAND BUT THEN LEFT AND THE ‘canon’ explanation for this is that jonny pushed her out an airlock

marius!!! so his name is marius von raum and his mechanism is one of his arms

he plays violin for the band and voices some of the screamier characters

oh!! jonny dville is the lead singer btw :)

okay and uhhhhh nastya rasputina!! she left the band in early 2015 for personal reasons but i still love her and am pretending she is still there she plays violin and doesn’t voice any characters but has appeared as herself in one of the albums

oh!!! also their spaceship is sentient and named aurora and her and nastya are dating <333 lesbian rights

drumbot brian!! as the exact opposite to jonny, his mechanism is everything but his heart, and he plays banjo and sings a bit too and he has this switch that has two modes, means justify ends and ends justify means which are two morality modes and so on mje he can’t do anything he would consider immoral but on ejm it’s the opposite of that

( my autocorrect changed ejm to run at first and that’s accurate honestly 😭😭)

oh did i mention jonny dville has canonically committed every non sexual crime?? jonny dville mr king of consent ily. maybe you’re a bloodthirsty murderer who kills people for fun but <333

and marius is the doctor (he says he has a degree but nobody has actually seen it so.)  not that you really need a doctor when these nine kill eachother regularly but anyways

but raphaella la cognizi, the ships science officer!! as cruel and brutal as she is… science! plays piano and voices multiple characters, her mechanism is her wings 

ivy alexandria!! the ships archivist :)  her mechanism is her brain, she plays the flute and one other instrument i believe? she doesn’t voice characters afaik but she has appeared as herself in an album once.  she stores information!! she’s like a living data collection center 

the toy soldier!!! it’s… present, as usual. we’re not really sure what it does, nobody is, all we know is that it showed up and won’t go away. it’s just happy to be there

and finally!!! gunpowder “prettiest mech” tim!!  he’s so,,,,, hhhhhhng.  his mechanism is his eyes!! he plays guitar and voices a few characters in albums!! he’s the weapons guy 

ABDHDHHSHD ALRIGHT NOW THE ALBUMS

okay so one thing you have to understand before all this is that they take old folk stories and retell them but make them either in space, cowboys, and much, much gayer

their first album, once upon a time (in space), think disney but much more violent and also lesbians

and then there’s ulysses dies at dawn!! it’s like green myth but mafia!!! ahdhhfhsjd it’s so good

tales to be told is just backstory songs/songs that didn’t make the cut for albums, it’s still great it’s just not one defined plot line as each song follows something different unlike the rest of the albums

high noon over camelot!! arthurian legend but cowboys and also mordred is trans and arthur guinevere and lancelot are all dating eachother ( i,,,,,cried at the end of hnoc :)))))

THE BIFROST INCIDENT!!! MY FAVORITE ALBUM OKAY 

SO THINK NORSE MYTH BUT MAGIC TRAIN IN SPACE 

AND THE MAIN CHRACATER IS LYFRASSIR EDDA

so basically

odin sends a train, the ratatosk express through the bifrost to get from midgard to asgard but the train arrives in midgard eighty years late and so lyfrassir edda is assigned to investigate it  and so it’s like this whole super elaborate plot and it’s amazing

and takes to be told. vol 2 is the same idea as the first one so

and then finally,,, death to the mechanisms :(  they broke apart in 2020 and they recorded their final concert and released it as an album and it’s always rlly sad to listen to :((

and finally,,,,,,,,,,,, backstories,,,,,,,,,,,,,

so jonny killed his dad bc he had collected debt and then proceeded to kill the person who made him kill his dad bc of said debt and then ran away with doc carmilla

nastya ran away from her family after she accidentally got them killed?  fun fact thta i noticed bc i read too far into everything: so nastya’s name is actually anastasia but she doesn’t go by that, and nastya means reborn AND SO SHE WAS REBORN AFTER SHE ACCIDENTALLY GOT HER WHOLE FANIMY KILLED AND AHHDHFHSHJFF

i have émotions abt these characters

tim fought in the war against the moon kaiser and when his ,,,,,,,,,,,best friend’’’’’’’’ got killed he blew up the moon bc he got mad and also he went on like a massive killing spree

marius doesn’t actually have a set backstory yet!! his actor is working on an album but they haven’t released it yet

raphaella also doesn’t have a backstory yet i believe?

ashes burned down their entire home planet bc some guy screwed them over

ivy lived in a library and doesn’t remember her life, she got picked up by the doc and mechanised after she died

the toy soldier was made as a toy to serve someone and it stole its voice from an angel (heavily implied to be some sort of singer but i’m not sure) and it’s just stayed there

so this was. badly summarized and not well said but also hhhng thank you for asking me!!! basically the people in the band play characters who do retellings of stories, and they play characters in the stories. they’re all immortal space pirates and have a mechanical body part which is how they became immortal. they retell the stories like ten times gayer and it’s fantastic anyways.
