this moment, just this moment right here
one can sometimes pick favourites in sports shōnen and these two are mine <3
as made very clear before, in my not so humble opinion, the best match in the whole series is seirin vs. yosen, so I won't elaborate more on why I love the match and these two so much for now. will probably do that sooner than later EDIT: I did try talking about it here :)
BUT
simply impeccable

I was recently thinking about the parallels between Murasakibara's dynamic with Kuroko and his dynamic with Akashi. Murasakibara acts somewhat friendly to them, but I feel like the friendliness stems from different roots. For Akashi, Murasakibara followed Akashi around because he thought Akashi was stronger than him, but then that doesn't explain why Murasakibara is amicable with Kuroko. Personally, I believe that with Kuroko, Murasakibara didn't even remotely see him as a threat, so his friendliness has an undertone of condescension. Once Kuroko started becoming a threat to him in the Seirin vs Yosen match, he became a lot meaner to Kuroko, Kagami, and the rest of their teammates. But I think after he lost in the Winter Cup he sort of got rid of that mindset and started treating his friends as actual friends that he would hang out with regardless of whether they were stronger than him or not.

knb s2 rewatch
in s1, the characters were trying to fit into their new status quos, get along with their new teams and playing styles. however, s2 seems to be all about the past - and trying your best to make peace with it
obviously, our two new teams are yosen and rakuzan, with yosen holding special focus for kagami because he's reunited with himuro, his "brother." meanwhile, the ominous akashi foreshadowing begins more heavily here than it did in season 1. there's an implication that the generation of miracles were more than just a team that played a sport sometimes. they were also soldiers following a commander, chess pieces pawned around by their master. it's probably unfair to give akashi that much credit since he was a child, just like the rest of them, but the season does establish that under akashi, all the others played like they were under his spell - and that spell, to some extent, still has a hold on them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
speaking of which, when i was making my first season rewatch post, i wanted to have a separate section to actually talk about the generation of miracles, but we hadn't met murasakibara or akashi yet so i saved it for this one!
Tumblr media
i've said this before, but murasakibara sometimes feels like a gimmicky character compared to kise, midorima and aomine, who, even with their eccentricities, seemed like believable characters with enough depth to keep you interested. as a standalone character, murasakibara falls a little short compared to the other miracles, but when you put them all together, his writing works for the most part. i like the idea of a group that was so talented, so above-the-ground, such a class apart from everyone else (and treated as such) that they're a little weird and stand out from everyone else. everyone likes to joke about the rainbow hair, but it works as an apt visual metaphor to really represent what a different breed they are. this gets played up a lot throughout the season, and i love it. the generation of miracles' appeal as a group isn't just that they were untouchable at basketball, but also that they were a clique with their own bizarre rules and roles. these guys are very out of touch with how kids their own age are supposed to be, and watching them take a stab at normalcy with their new teams is interesting. look at what furihata says here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
talk about hype! this is the first time we've seen them all together since middle school and it is goosebump-worthy (the music in this scene is phenomenal BTW). it's times like these where i understand why last game was made in the first place, but that understanding isn't enough for me to actually sympathize with the fact that the movie undoes all the development and messaging of the core series. oh well. not sure how other fans feel, but that last, touching scene with kuroko and kagami more than made up for it i guess (for me at least)
coming back to season 2 - while i think there are some parts of this season that drag it down a little (like the awful fanservice bits and the way the show sometimes overdoes the 'riko's dad is a creep' gag), i think the games in this season still keep you on your toes the way they did in season 1! it's hard to keep raising the stakes in a believable way and (so far), i think the series does a good job at doing that! not sure if i'll be saying the same thing when season 3 comes around, though, but for now i have no complaints! i'd even argue that we get some of our best, most memorable games throughout the show in this season, with the stand out obviously being seirin vs touou 2.0. any match with kagami, aomine and kuroko works because of how much of our attention aomine demands as an antagonist, and it's a little sad to say goodbye to him as we move on to the bigger (and final) antagonist – akashi.
Tumblr media
as a parting note, i do want to talk about kagami and kuroko, who both show tremendous growth this season as characters. when we left them last season, they were still struggling to figure out what they could do for their team, and they seem to be getting there now. kagami is calmer, less reckless, willing to even be benched if it benefits the team at large. kuroko, on the other hand, has abandoned his comfort zone in the shadows and begun making independent plays. he even shoots baskets now, and seven out of ten times they actually go in! in sports, the guys who give up last are the ones that end up stealing your heart – regardless of victory or loss – and kuroko is just that guy. i'll save my full thoughts on kuroko as a character for my s3 post, but for now i'd love to reiterate that him, kagami and aomine really make the series what it is for me!
and lest we forget: some incredible things happened with the other miracles this season too. midorima smiles now, aomine looks forward to matches and murasakibara went into the zone. things are changing – and for the better! though kise didn't have a lot to do this season, the next one will have some great moments for him, and of course, we'll finally get to meet akashi on the court and answer some big questions like what actually happened at teiko and why kuroko quit after the championship game. it's going to be one big season of flashbacks and big reveals and idk! i'm excited!

@peachmuses said: they're watching a game / it's yosen vs touou. seirin is sitting next to kaijo / and tetsuya has his hand in kise's. shuuzou is busy cheering on tatsuya. tetsuya is certain that he'll apologize to aomine-kun later, but he shakes his head, and dips his head onto kise's shoulder. " after this, can you get me a vanilla shake ? " / kikurokikurokikuro
the sudden head on his shoulder almost makes him jump straight out of his skin, instead it drags him out of his focus on on the game to look at his boyfriend. — his boyfriend. boyfriend. his boyfriend, the way he loves how it sounds is something he’ll never get over — smiles and leans his cheek into kuroko’s head. “ of course. ”

Murasakibara notices how the reader is staring at Kagami and intends to make her pay for it…

SO! I knowwww this is not really have the story goes, BUT! imagination 🌈
I will never understand why I let them talk me into going to this game, especially considering how much homework and studying I have. However, as soon as I had the thought, it was answered. Atsushi. A smile slowly spread across my face. Himuro, Okamura, and Coach had all called me last night, begging me to come to the Yosen vs. Seirin game. I had originally declined, but they continued to pester me, talking about how, “Murasakibara plays better when I’m there.” I wouldn’t say that’s true, but damn, it feels good to hear.
As I scanned the gym, the two teams looked like they were warming up. I had originally planned on just sitting in the stands, but once I texted Himuro to tell him that I was there, he called me and told me that Coach wanted me to sit on the sidelines with them. As I scanned the court again, my giant, purple-haired boyfriend stuck out like a sore thumb. I couldn’t help but smile as I waved to get his attention. His typically bored, lazy eyes lit up as he saw me, running towards me.
“Wow…y/n, you actually got him to run.” Coach stared at me in awe as I sheepishly looked away.
“Y/n-chi! I thought you had to study!” He grabbed me, pulling me into a tight hug. I gave out a laugh as my feet lifted off the ground, always embarrassed when he did things like this in public. He’s like a little kid.
“I do, but I couldn’t miss this game ‘Sushi, I know how important it is to you.” He gave a scoff before gently putting me back down.
“I never said it was important, I’m gonna crush these guys. It’s important to Himuro, he’s gotta play his ex-brother or something like that.” I gave a confused nod, as he just shrugged his shoulders.
“I don’t know either. It’s kind of a pain, but it’s fine. We’re gonna win anyways, especially now that you’re here.” I smiled. This man…he had some sort of hold on me.
“You better go finish warming up before Coach yells at me.” I glanced over at her, seeing she was staring in our direction. He gave a pout.
“I don’t wanna go. Now that y/n-chi is here, I just wanna stay near you.” I blushed, looking down at my feet. Why’d he have to go and say such embarrassing things?
“I’ll buy you snacks if you go practice.” I was still looking down, but I could feel his smile.
“Deal!” He turned on his heels and ran back out to the court. I gave a sigh as I found a seat by the Coach, discussing strategy and things like that. Of course, until I saw him. Don’t get me wrong, ‘Sushi is the love of my life, but something about that fiery red hair…I don’t know. I tried not to stare, shifting my attention back to Mukkun, but my attention kept going between the two of them. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.
Sierin had been practicing too, when the ball had come my way, bouncing until it reached my feet. I grabbed it, ready to pass it back, when I realized it was the red hair guy.
“Sorry.” He apologized with a deep, raspy voice. Fuck, something was so attractive about him, I kind of froze in place. He stared back awkwardly, before clearing his throat and gesturing towards the ball.
“I kind of need that.” I shook my head, bringing myself back to reality. I’m such a dumbass. I threw the ball back to him as he gave a breathtaking smile before heading back on the court. I guess our interaction didn’t go unnoticed because next thing you know, a large shadow covered me. Shit. Atsushi.
I turned around, seeing an angry expression on his face.
“Um. Hi Mukkun. When did you get behind me?” He didn’t respond, just threw me over his shoulder, walking into the hallway.
“Let me down! Murasakibara! You have to practice and you have fifteen minutes until the game starts! Stop playing!” However, it seemed like the more I protested and tried to wiggle free, the tighter his grip would get.
Finally, we got beside the vending machines, when he harshly put me down, quite different to our earlier interaction.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing? Getting all smitten by quadro-brow.” Atsushi’s anger was scary. It was a quiet, yet scary aura emitting from him. I’d be lying if I didn’t say it turned me on a little bit.
“I was just giving him the ball back, stop. Let’s go, we have to go to the game now Atsushi.” I tried walking away, but he pushed me up against the wall, slamming his fist beside my head.
“I don’t give a fuck y/n. We were talking.” It was almost a whisper, his eyes closed. I’ve never seen him like this. Ever. But the thought of it happening was causing my underwear to get wetter by the second.
“On your fucking knees y/n. Now.” Surprised, I stood still, as my eyes widened. He wouldn’t be trying to…right? Not here, not now, right? Not a few minutes before his game, right? His eyes finally opened, flashing a mix of jealousy and lust.
“Did you hear me?” He asked, whispering in the same tone, forcing eye contact with me. Don’t get me wrong, Murasakibara never fails to make me cum. It’s like he’s got a special talent, and knows how to get me over the edge every time, but he was a lazy lover. Always making me ride him, sit on his face, things that don’t require him moving much. So this sudden change shook me to the core, but I loved it.
I slowly got on my knees, excitement pooling between my legs. He pulled his basketball shorts down slightly, exposing his fully erect cock. It never seems to amaze me how big he is. I shouldn't be surprised, he’s a big guy. But even now, I don’t know how I’m going to fitall of him in my mouth.
“What? You can’t take all of it? Would you rather have that average cock from fucking Kagami?” I’m guessing that was the red-haired guy. I quickly shook my head.
“N-n-no. I want yours. Only yours.” He scoffed.
“That’s not what it looked like a few minutes ago.” He grabbed my face, forcing my mouth open, before shoving his cock inside. It was only about halfway in before I started gagging, knowing I couldn’t possibly take anymore.
“You fucking slut. You belong to me.” He grabbed a fistful of my hair before thrusting even further inside my mouth. I felt his tip hitting the back of my throat, the pre-cum making it’s way on my tongue. I couldn’t take it all, not without gagging that is, and I think that’s what turns him on more than anything. Knowing how big he is compared to me. Watching me struggle, tears streaming down, as the only sound filling the air was my gagging.
“Get the fuck up.” He said quickly, pulling himself out of my mouth and grabbing me, pushing me up against the wall, stomach down. I had worn one of his jersey’s as a dress, silently thanking myself for the idea. He pulled the jersey up, exposing my bare ass.
“You fucking slut. You didn’t even wear underwear today and you were still flirting with quadro-brow. I bet you’re wishing he was doing this to you, hm?” The ache between my legs was driving me insane.
“ ‘Sushi, please…I need you.” He gave a deep chuckle before slowly rubbing my slick slit with his fingers.
“You’re so fucking wet baby. You want this dick that bad? Or is it for him?” I gave a small moan as his words.
“It’s for you. I told you, I only want you.” I replied, desperate for him to satisfy me.
“Hm. Normally I would let you get used to my fingers before giving you this dick, especially since you cry everytime, but you’ve been a little slut today.” He whispered in my ear, before forcing his cock into my throbbing pussy. I gave a loud moan as I tried to adjust him, but my vision blurred from the pain.
“You’re so fucking big, fuck.” I gasped, before he reached around to cover my mouth.
“We’re in public y/n-chi. You wouldn’t want anyone to hear you, hm?” I nodded as I tried to contain my moans. It was pointless though, the sound of his balls slapping my skin filled the hallways, daring anyone to come in.
Usually Murasakibara was so gentle with me, but this time was completely different. He was forcing his cock deeper and deeper, hitting my cervix every time.
“Tell me who you belong to y/n-chi.” I nodded before saying, “You. I belong to you.” He reached around me, starting to slowly graze my clit.
“No. Say my name. Say I’m yours. Say you’re mine. I need to hear it.” I could hear his desperation in that last sentence. I guess my attraction with Kagami had messed with him more than he’d like to actually admit.
“I’m yours, Atsushi. I belong to you, and you belong to me.” I gasped as he started rubbing my clit faster, thrusting even deeper than before. That’s all I needed to come completely undone, my breathing cutting short as the orgasm took over my body. I couldn’t believe it, I’ve never had an orgasm like this one before, my vision was completely dotted with stars, as the rest of my body started shaking uncontrollably. Atsushi wasn’t too far behind me.
“Fuck, I’m about to cum. I’m gonna cum all in this pussy. Make you a mommy. Then no one but me will want you.” He gave a final thrust before coming undone, cumming inside of me. Breathing heavily. He rested his forehead on top of my shoulders, before slowly removing himself.
“Fuck.” He gave me a goofy smile before pulling his shorts back up.
I couldn’t help my laugh. That was until I remembered there was a game.
“Shit! ‘Sushi! The game!” He rolled his eyes, “What a pain in the ass. I told you I don’t wanna.”
“I don’t care, your team needs you! I headed towards the gym, but my legs were shaking uncontrollably. This caused him to laugh as I gave him an annoyed look. He walked in towards me, until he finally got on one knee, motioning that I get on his back. I gave an angry look, but gratefully took the offer. He walked us back into the gym, only to see the two teams talking to their coaches. I glanced at the scoreboard, only to realize that we made it just in time. As we made our way over to Yosen, the team noticed us and started clapping and cheering. Confused, I got off of Mukkun, and walked the rest of the way holding on to his hand, hoping the rest of the people didn’t notice the shaking.
“Murasakibara! It’s not fair!” Okumara cried.
“Huh?” Murkkun responded, with a dull tone traced throughout.
Himuro cleared his throat.
“We were um…trying to find you. But when we went to the hallway, we um saw…” My face flushed. Noooo. They didn’t. I covered my face, I wanted to die.
Murasakibara laughed, clearly pleased with himself. I slapped his arm, shooting daggers with my eyes. He simply shrugged, trying to hold back his laughter. However, the rest of the team's laughs were louder than anything else. He pulled him into a hug before resting his head on top of mine.
“I loveee you. Are you still getting me snacks? I definitely put up a sweat.” I couldn’t help but laugh.
“Of course. I have to get a pill anyways, dumbass. We’re too young to get pregnant.” He gave a fake pouty face before kissing my forehead. Suddenly, the game buzzer rang throughout, signaling that the game was starting.

My Thoughts on the KNB English Dub (Season 2)
if you haven’t seen my thoughts on season 1 yet, here’s a link here!
Taken from my season 1 post:
Of course, I prefer watching sub over dub for anime series, but I’m no stranger to the English VA industry, as I’ve played huge RPG games with fantastic English dub casts! I guess I’m mentioning this here to let you know that I’m quite impartial to the dub vs sub fiasco, and if it sounds good or not I’ll say it as such
- first off: the opening for the winter cup arc is different where they used scenes to indicate the yosen match with seirin instead of showing Kuroko’s ignite pass kai. LOVE this new opening more, it’s way more dynamic and so cool while showing off all of the Seirin members in action instead of just Kuroko???
- KAGAMI sounds so much better in season 2!! omg, he sounds really identical to the sub and I’m living for it god bless, he truly sounds like he hails from america LMAO
- Kuroko REALLY SHINES when he gets super passionate when talking about winning after Imayoshi told him “try again next year” in a nutshell like that GRIT IN THE VOICE CHEF KISS
- can we literally talk about the goldmine of the Seirin team, including the benchers?? THEIR BANTER IS SO UNMATCHED AND HILARIOUS I LITERALLY DAMN NEAR PEED MY PANTS LAUGHING (listen to the dialogues in the background esp when the bench players start saying random shit LMAO)
- shoutout to Furihata, Izuki, and Koganei in the dub 10000000/10
- Teppei and Hyuga get their own honorable mentions because damn they are so damn good in the dubs, their interactions/dialogue/chemistry in the dub is, even dare I say, better than the sub
- I lied, Izuki also gets an honorable mention for his puns, I actually find them so funny, someone help me----????
- I’m literally so glad the dub actually highlights how truly weird Teppei is; most people just completely overlook his actual character because there’s only so much subs can do to convey his weird oddities (aka I’m tired of these Teppei fics misrepresenting and butchering his character 😭)
- I knew GREATNESS was gonna happen when Robbie Daymond was gonna voice Murasakibara; sure it’s not “deep enough” like the sub, but to be fair, the dub’s voice fits his childishness so damn well like the “quadrabrow” line on Kagami still sends me to NO END or when he gets pouty and petulant, the dub nails it 100% “what’s going on with your eyebrows dude? why do they like... split?” when he says “Kuro-chin” WHEN KUROKO MADE THE SHOT PAST HIM, IT SOUNDED SO IDENTICAL AND OMG--? And WHEN HE ANGRILY SAYS “KAGAMI”?? AND WHEN HE GETS MAD IN THE GAME AND PLAYS OFFENSIVE, HE SOUNDS UGH CHEFS KISS DIVINE
- Aomine’s voice is okay, I like it---the dialogue they give him is so fucking funny, this man roasts people while he’s trying to explain what’s happening on the court, i-- (SOUNDS AMAZING when hes on the court esp Seirin vs Touou game)
- MIDORIMA ALSO TRULY IMPROVED HIS DUB PERFORMANCE IN SEASON 2!!! HIM AND TAKAO TOGETHER BANTERING IS ALSO FUNNY AS SHIT IN THE DUB, i literally ASCEND when these two get screentime
- Kise.... kise.... my baby... I’ve grown to have mixed feelings about you in the dub-- one moment, he gives me not enough theatrics and sounds a bit serious at times, the next moment, especially when he’s getting his ass beat by Kasamatsu complaining about something, or when he’s flustered in hearing how Kasamatsu said Seirin was done for in the Touou game, he sounds SUPER GOOD----the pronunciations of the (name)-cchi’s... it hurts every time, but I understand the voice director was trying to adhere to the anglosaxon english pronunciations of the Japanese names (happens to nearly all dubs regardless sadly :((, so I can’t fault the voice actor here) actually, dub Kise gives me more of manga Kise vibes more than anything (the mangaka might favor the dub casting more for Kise in that case) Momoicchi Aominicchi and Akashicchi sound fine though, it’s just Kurokocchi sounds janky
- dub Hanamiya,..... took me by surprise, whoever casted for his dub needs a damn raise... thats all I’ll say before @seijurosempress decides to have any funny ideas about Hanamiya being the “perfect one for me” (i will strangle you)
- dub Hara 14/10, that’s all I’ll say
- dub Imayoshi..... when he gets all low and sinister and schemey, my heart stops, my pants drop, and my breathing stops (.... I wish his voice was deeper...especially when he speaks all politely and cheery normally.......... Just... a bit, please....) -- mixed feelings about him :(( i cant believe I like dub Hanamiya more--
- HELP WHY IS THE DUB FOR RIKO’S DAD MF ZHONGLI AND SHIDO I CANT TAKE THIS MAN SERIOUSLY IM SERIOUSLY LAUGHING
- I’M SO HAPPY WITH DUB SAKURAI, I TRUST GRIFFIN BURNS WITH MY ENTIRE HEART WHEN IT COMES TO PERFORMANCE
- Moriyama sounds great too?? he sounds super good
- Alex deadass just sounds the same I’m shocked LMAO (edit: i searched her seiyuu up, it’s the EXACT SAME VA HOLY SHIT)
- HIMURO’S DUB WHEN HE CALLED OUT “Please stop your deeply-problematic habit” WHEN SHE TRIED TO SMOOCH HIM ON SIGHT HELP THE DUB JUST CALLS IT OUT SO GOOD // his voice is so smooth, elegant, and deep-- when he calls out “Atsushi” in a panic in the game he sounds THE SAME?? EMOTIONAL HIMURO AFTER HE PUNCHES MURASAKIBARA SOUNDS SO GOOD I CANT BREATHE
- YOSEN MEMBERS’ AND THE COACH DUB MWAH THEY’RE SO GOOD (Liu sounds abnormally deep tho wtf but oh well)
- Akashi... I can’t put my finger on him yet? I can’t find the episode where he first debuts in the beginning of the Winter Cup because gogoanime can’t replay those early episodes... and I don’t have netflix... because yeah I don’t have money--BUT ANYWAYS, my opinion of him is currently “inoffensive” but we’ll see in season 3? pssssst if anyone in the US wants to help me out with the netflix plugin.......
- I would just love to add in the appreciation for the translators and localizers for the dub? I know my subtitles near 95% (I kinda have to when I write dialogue for characters), and near all of them are exactly on the money. Sometimes the dub matches the subtitles word for word too which is insanely impressive given the lip flaps and timing of the dialogue---but yeah hats off to the cast who worked on the dub!! We shall see in season 3 and the last game movie (if i can find and access them;;) how the dub performs~~

missed shot.
synopsis: Boys lose a point when they unexpectedly see you.
# tags: headcanons; current relationships & crush culture; comedy; fluff; a little bit of romance; boys are simps for you and you are a huge fan of them!; sfw
includes: female reader ft. taiga kagami, ryouta kise, tatsuya himuro, kotarou hayama, shouichi imayoshi & midorima shintarou {knb}
Tumblr media
— TAIGA
↘ You are a bit late, but you arrived at the Seirin vs. Josei game safe and sound! You also took a seat upstairs to get a better view of the all players.
↘ You arrived just as Kiyoshi knocked the ball from his opponent’s hand and passed it to Izuki. You immediately crossed your fingers when the ball was passed to Kuroko and then to Kagami. You grinned when the tall basketball player jumped high to dunk.
↘ “Kagami-kun! Win it!” You screamed as loud as you could, waving your arms to cheer for him even better.
↘ Anyway, because of your voice echoing around the gym, Taiga lost his concentration for a moment and at the same time found you at the stands.
↘ His heart was beating much faster than it should, and a big smile appeared on his face, seeing that the girl with he is in love with came to support him.
↘ Unfortunately, his inattention resulted in hitting the hoop and losing the ball. Also a bit of laughter from you spread around the gym, making his cheeks as red as his hair and eyes.
↘ “S-Sorry!” He shouted to the rest of the team, then looked back at you. “The next throw will be successful! I p-promise!”
Tumblr media
— RYOUTA
↘ You came on Kise’s matches almost always as his best and only female friend. Unfortunately, you had to go to the dentist that day, so you came a bit late for the Winter Cup match between Kaijou High and Fukuda Sougou Academy.
↘ Luckily, your friend kept you a free seat in the first stand until then, so you could watch the last quarter.
↘ “Ryouta! Don’t give up, you can win this game with the team!” Your scream reverberated between the quieter conversations that commented on the point difference between the players.
↘ Your happy and supporting voice immediately reached the blonde boy who was copying Aomine’s moves.
↘ However, as it is easy to guess, instead of dunk the ball, he withdrew his hands and once again he stopped on the floor looking for your figure.
↘ As soon as he found you, he waved his hand at you and then spun the ball on his finger, smiling widely. “This point is dedicated to you, Y/Ncchi! Just look at me and only me!”
↘ This time, Kise didn’t flinch from the perfect dunk that you cheered loudly at.
Tumblr media
— TATSUYA
↘ Your super popular boyfriend has a basketball training with the rest of the Yosen team, and you, as a good girlfriend, came to support him and take him to sushi after training.
↘ You entered the gym very quietly, immediately walking up to trainer Araka and greeting her with soft smile. The woman nodded at you and asked if you finished class and if you came for Himuro. Of course, you confirmed her questions right away, laughing under your breath and saying that you would take him on a date after training. (Yosen coach had a relationship with you like a big sister and a little sister, so she was very eager to talk with you about random things.)
↘ “... Tatsuya!” You shouted to the jumping boy who was just taking his ‘mirage shot’ above another player. The seventeen-year-old glanced in your direction and you waved to him softly. “We’ll go on a date after your training, so you’d better kick everyone’s ass, Tatsu!” You added in an amused tone to which even Masako reacted with laughter.
↘ Of course, your presence, noticed by the black-haired student, made him throw the ball very imprecise so the consequence was didn’t score the desired three points.
↘ “Muro-chin, focus, please...” Murasakibara muttered at his friend and the other snorted under his breath.
↘ “I’ll get another one. Pass me the next ball.” He replied low, then looked at you again, waving you back.
Tumblr media
— KOTAROU
↘ You just arrived at the sports hall to support your boyfriend during the match between Rakuzan and Shuutoku. Of course you had with you a cute banner in your boyfriend’s team colors and with his name, which you quickly took out of your black, leather bag.
↘ A few minutes passed before a foreign voice announced a ten-minute warm-up for both teams. You smiled warmly seeing your man bursting with energy.
↘ “Hey, Kotarou-kun!” You screamed, immediately meeting his insane gaze. “Give your best, baby!”
↘ “Of course, I will!” He answered you just as loudly. “Look at this, Y/N-chan!” He added with a big smile, preparing to throw...
↘ ... which he missed. Oof.
↘ Akashi looked at him with a raised eyebrow. The rest of the team and you too.
↘ “OHHHH, YES. I GET IT, BOYS. LOOK THIS TIME, Y/N-CHAN! IT’S FOR YOU. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!”
↘ This time he hit perfectly, which is why you held your banner high, laughing happily.
Tumblr media
— SHOUICHI
↘ Imayoshi decided to stay a bit longer on training and practice the three-point shooting. The gym was empty, so he had time to himself.
↘ You, on the other hand, passed Ryou in the school corridor, whom you warmly greeted and asked where Shouichi was. The shy sixteen-year-old immediately squeaked that the shooter decided to stay in the hall longer than everyone else.
↘ That’s why you went to the mentioned place as quickly as possible and very quietly you entered the big building, watching the tall basketball player aim at the hoop.
↘ During the throw you coughed softly and smiled. “Shou-kun when you will done with practice, maybe we’ll come to our houses together?” You spoke tenderly, catching the brunet’s attention.
↘ A second later, the ball bounced off the ring after a while and fell to the ground without scoring a point. The captain hissed and looked at your figure again, sighing.
↘ “Y/N.” He grumble with a smile and you walk slowly towards him, adjusting the bag full of books. “Yes, I’d love to come back with you. Sit down and don’t bother me for another half hour, thanks.” He added gently, looking away from your cute, pouty face.
↘ “Are you blushing?” You asked, smiling. “Don’t worry Shouichi, I won’t tell anyone about this missed shot, I promise.” You added, showing thumbs up.
↘ The problem is that the boy didn’t blush because of a missed throw, but because you, his crush, saw it.

— SHINTAROU
↘ Your boyfriend was just during in the first match of the Winter Cup final, and of course you wanted to surprise him, although the green head forbade you to come.
↘ You took one of the few free seats in the nearest stand and starts looked for Midorima. The boy was just aiming for a basket from halfway the court, and you smiled at it.
↘ You rarely saw your boyfriend play the basketball, so you were counting on a good and fair game.
↘ Nevertheless, you wanted to let Shintarou know that you are here for him.
↘ “Honey! Win it! I love you so much!” You screamed out loud, in the middle of a throw who...
↘ ... barely fell into the basket, making the entire Shuutoku team inhale loudly into their lungs. Midorima felt a unpleasant chills run down his spine as he looked in your direction. You waved at him and he adjusted his glasses, sighing under his nose.
↘ The corner of his mouth twitched in a smile, and he nodded, taking the lead of 40 points for his team (and for you, cute) during the game.
↘ Then, of course, he scolded you, telling you not to come on his matches again because you distracted him, but you couldn’t promise that.

Guess who's making yet another anime vs manga post. I'm having fun with it right now XD
Murasakibara's response to Izuki not going for a one-on-one with him when Seirin countered after Yosen scored the first point (Q147 in the manga/ep 46 in the anime).
Tumblr media
In the anime, he only said this, which combined with his tone makes it seem like he's disappointed. While in the manga he added:
Tumblr media
"You're a lot calmer than you look."
The line was actually a compliment. They both know Murasakibara would crush Izuki within seconds, so Murasakibara offered his compliment to Izuki who knows his limits and did the right thing.

Also doesn't Izuki have a reputation of being calm and composed? Why did Murasakibara say "calmer than you look" 😂
