So, having adhd and writing as a hobby can be a challenge, to put it mildly.

I just made a plot for my fantasy novel, which I've been writing on and off on for the last 8 years.

8 years bro!

And now I've finally found that coffeewriting is the way to go! (The rule is, you write for as long as your afternoon coffee - or tea I don't judge - lasts, which let you skip the steps of page or word count, something that always stressed me out). ☕☕☕

Also, I might update my destiny fanfic (Lightbearer) before the end of this year 😭

Me, excitingly getting to read 'The Song of Achilles' by Madeline Miller which has been on my reading list for some time: 'Uuh I love the descriptions!'

M. M.: *Casually describing feet in great detail*

Me: 'hmm, I guess she has great sense of detail.' *Reads along.*

M. M.: *Getting to the good part* 'also did I mention his feet?'

Me: 'Wait a damn minute!'

Me: *Gives it a chance and reads some more.* 'Uuh, its seems like we are getting some action scenes now, this is pretty goo-'

M. M.: 'Achilles' feet where..'

Me: 'Noooooooooo!!!!'

Im sorry but the difference between Overwatch and Destiny players is the fact that in Overwatch you shoot people even if they were abandoned by their whole team, while in D2 there is a contract stating that emoting is the only way 🪑🍵🎺

Any of you neurodivergent cool guys got a tip on finishing projects? I always struggle with this (as a newly discovered adhd person myself) and I can see it bleeding into my writing 😭 I always cycle between my stories and won't get diagnosed until August which means I'm desperate for survival-tricks

So, anyone else just jump around confused while encounters are explained in destiny raids, gets the easiest position because they are absolutely useless, somehow makes it through without knowing what the h*ll is going on while also admiring the scenery, only to end up defeating the final boss after a few tries because of your boss teammates who has played it through countless times already... And then is the only one getting the exotic drop first try, never to play it again?

Happened to me a week into Root of Nightmares and I still feel bad lol

Today I managed to thoroughly annoy my writing group by showing up to our online meeting late, be anxiously silent through the whole thing and deciding to take my dog out for a walk in the middle of a storm while still talking to them, just for the extra spice of having wind kill your ears, resulting in one of them leaving 😭
