✨betty/cardigan opinion ✨

Everyone has assumptions and opinions about the song betty from folklore but I never saw mine on social media so here it is :

I think cardigan and betty are two very interesting songs if we go further into what it could represent. The song cardigan is from the girl’s point of view and is very mature, she knew everything and the lyrics are more complexe. The song betty is more simple lyricwise and I think it was made like this voluntarily from Taylor to showcase the maturity gap that at this age people can have. In the song James says «I’m only seventeen, I don’t know anything» which opposes to the many «I knew» from cardigan. Also I think it helps us understand that it can be painful to see someone react in a different way than the one you wanted him to, but, what hurts even more is that we can’t really be mad at someone for not being mature if he just didn’t have enough time to. In betty, James needs to make mistakes to understand and see what he lost and then comes back exactly how she knew he would. No matter if she would be willing to take him back or not, she was more mature than him and she knew that too. I think those two songs are picturing exactly how a situation like this can be sad beautiful tragic.

Okay I have a theory that may be true about folklore deluxe.

In the song ‘invisible string’ she talks about « three-year trip getting lunch down by the Lakes » Lakes with a capital letter so it’s clear she’s referring to the only deluxe song « the lakes ».

So maybe this is a song that is gonna go with a engagement announcement. Because otherwise why just one song on the deluxe and not two or none ? Why a deluxe song, thing that she didn’t made for the two previous albums reputation and Lover ? In theory she could wait to release this particular song because it’s meaning something that she wants to announce separately from the whole album.

🌟 Taylor Swift is the man, the woman, the king and the queen of the music industry, and you better not mess with her. This is inspired by the visuals created for the merch. It took me so long but I love the result. 🌟

🎾 The Man is probably my favorite track on Lover. The producing turns this song into a great song to listen to and Taylor’s songwriting makes it powerful and meaningful. The music video was one of her best work, and I am not even talking about the easter eggs. My favorite was the Karma tag and the sign «no scooters allowed » it was so great. The makeup was so realistic and she did an incredible job at acting like a man, I was shocked. Love the little appearance of her dad though it was cool. And obviously the « Directed by Taylor Swift - Written by Taylor Swift - Owned by Taylor Swift - Saring Taylor Swift » was amazing. The behind the scene were so funny and I love that you can see all the technical work done to create the piece of art that it is. Also I feel like since reputation, Taylor is not afraid to speak up and I couldn’t be more a swiftie right now, considering the tweet she made about D. Trump a day ago. I love and support her so much ! 🎾

🐱 Olivia Swift based on the design of the merch. I wanted to do a quick and easy drawing and it was pretty cool to draw one of Taylor’s cat. It’s not my best drawing but I had nice time doing it. I thank everyone that liked my previous post, it’s nothing but it made my day. 🐱

💕 I love the fact that Taylor Swift loves cats so much. I wanna become a vet so it makes me just love her a little more that she is interested and caring about those little creatures. I think my favorite is Benjamin just because he is so cute and I like the fact that she adopted him on the set of a music video, without really planning it. It was spontaneous and it’s great to see in the behind the scenes the first moments they shared together. 💕

🦋 First birthday of ME! (4. 26. 2019) and the beginning of TS7 and dozens of theories ! I recreated in a drawing version the mural in Nashville made by Kelsey Montague. This is the first drawing in colors that I post. It took me so much time and it needed a transformation to fit in the size of the drawing paper that I use, but I hope it’s looking as similar to the original work as possible. 🦋

I honestly loved this first single and still enjoy listening to it when I want to set a fun and confident mood. I think that a lot (too much) of people don’t appreciate this song that much because they are taking it in a too serious way, when it was supposed to be an empowering fun song. No, the lyrics are not the best, but it did a nice transition from the darkness of reputation and I think that’s what Taylor wanted. I like the idea of it and the message it shares. The song helped introducing the new era and having a more precise idea of what it’s gonna be like. The music video is one of her best work and as always she did a wonderful work for the easter eggs that turned Swifties into detectives trying to decrypt them. The introduction was meaningful, the few sentences in french (as a french person)were so unexpected and funny, the outfits and set where really representative of the vibe of the song and the production of it all created a movie-like music video that was entertaining to watch. Anyway, I think it’s a underrated work and a song that’s too often seen as the bad one in the lover album. Happy birthday ME! 🎉.

Taylor Swift in the You Need To Calm Down music video. 🌈 This drawing took me so long but I think I’m happy of how it looks. I thought this music video was different than what she has done before but it was so refreshing to see her in such a colorful set and all the easter eggs were so fun to find. Also loved how a lot of other celebrities showed up in it, it was so cool. So in honor of Taylor’s work I did this drawing. Maybe I’ll do one of when she’s in the pool because it might be fun.
