what if the orange side isnt some underlying entity "showing himself", like the other dark sides?

what if orange is forming before our eyes?

we all know about king creativity, right? thomas started hating some parts of creativity, some parts that became intrusive thoughts. creativity and intrusive thoughts just couldnt be one side. so they split.

and logan. logan is logic, yes, but hes also anger now. hes anger at thomas for not getting the respectable job and hes anger for pattons silly little fits and hes anger at every single imperfect part of thomas.

and thomas just can not get angry every time he tries to be logical, the mindscape knows that. so.. theres one answer. they split.

they call one of them logan. the one in blue and the one with the tie. he looks similiar, but.. hes sweet and eerily polite and he never yells falsehood. he cant quip with virgil the same way. hes always a little too off.

and the other - daedalus. daedalus is scary and loud and orange. hes angry tears and too-sharp teeth but hes the only one that says falsehood. hes the only one to make jokes that leave virgil laughing so hard he cant breath and if janus needs to talk shit, well.. 'logan' never asks. hes always a little too familiar.

I just had a thought right now about the orange side. We know that orange has some resemblance to Logan and usually shows up when Logan is mad. And we all know that every side has some good and bad aspects for c!Thomas. I personally think that orange has something to do with shame or at least has something to do with people not wanting to realize their wrong.

In LNTAO, Roman makes fun of Logan because Logan had put the word *figuratively* in his sentence. Therefore that led on to Logan throwing paper at Roman.

Now, in WTIT, Logan is upset that Remus is ignoring him, and so he gets upset.

Also, thanks to @analoceits theory(thank you for your theory) about the orange side, I made a better connection for my train of thought. In their post, they said, "Logan is logic, yes, but he is also anger now." And that made me think. You know something that people don't like? Being corrected or being shamed for something they do or have done. Which leads to anger or denial.

Orange has shown up when Logan was shamed by Roman and ignored by Remus. People would get upset when overshadowed or made fun of.

Next, let's talk about Roman. Roman is c!Thomas's ego and creativity. We've seen Roman lose some ego and not believe Thomas when he said Roman is his hero. Sometimes, people feel shameful when they are corrected or their ego is bruised.

And because Roman feels hurt, c!Thomas's ego might also feel hurt. Logan is his logical side, and when someone's logic is usually contradicted, they would feel ashamed and mad or they would feel lied to when their wrong.

These events happening are likely the reason orange is showing up more recent(also Janus being here, but that's beside the point)

Would Ocudeus still be active?

Like we save him and cut him off from Ocudeus control, what’s stopping Ocudeus from having another person taking Ais’s place?

Can someone replace Ais? Why is it Ais who’s leading it? How long has he done it??

Can Ais ever really be free or live ‘normally’ after being bonded to Ocudeus for so long?

A lonely mind might just be the hell worse than having hive mind for him…

thinking many touchstarved thoughts, as I have been want to do of late. specifically, leander thoughts.

leander has many mysteries and no answers in sight which leaves a wide range for questioning and theories.

flower symbolism in the white lilies; rebirth and purity, for weddings and funerals, sympathy. potential play on oleanders; desire, destiny, caution, and romantic love. 

but realistically, i don’t think leander is a stand in for oleander- i think it’s meant to be leander. as in hero and leander.

the ties with rebirth and femininity have been discussed already, rebirth especially, and the fact that eridia is bisected by a river also plays well into the myth. leanders notable avoidance for sleep and hate of napping is also fascinating, with the myth in mind- it was hero falling asleep and letting the light fade from her lamp that lead to his death, after all. he certainly seems to have a lamp around his waist, too. he’ll never be without a light in the dark again. it could be just symbolism, but, well.

the word ‘hero’ gets thrown around a lot in his intro. perhaps it’s just a coincidence. it’s also a coincidence that we end up dubbed sparrow by ais? hero was in a tower... will we be kept apart from leander by being locked in the senobium, I wonder?

leander in the mythos was said to be a charming young man, and one who persuaded hero to lie with him and break her celibacy. that surely aphrodite, the goddess she was a priestess too, wouldn’t mind. perhaps that’s where the divine feminine comes into play?

the ourobous in his earring is also tied to rebirth, the continuous cycle of life and death.

a lot of people have theorised a yandere route. gothic fiction has many themes, but the one standing out to me is “ the intrusion of the past upon the present ” .

hmm. so many thoughts. so little cohesion at the moment.

perhaps this will end with another lovers burial?

Pat/ton.

Lo/gan.

Vir/gil.

Even Thom/as and Ni/co have two syllables.

Heck, even E/mile and Re/my have two syllables.

What if the next side doesn't? What if it's like, Craig or something?

Even Apollo (a common orange-side name theory, after Logan's comment about wishing Apollo had more of an influence in WTIT) would mess with the pattern, being A/pol/lo

I've seen some people talking about how the diploma behind Logan is blue and orange and how that might be foreshadowing but i do wanna point out two things.

1. Of course Logan would be in front of the college diploma Thomas got. He's a teacher, and more importantly he's the manifestation of everything Thomas has ever learned. It makes sense character wise to have him in front of it.

And 2:

Guys, blue and orange are just the school colors. That specific detail is more than likely not foreshadowing

Taylor Swift - I Can See You - Keycode

Theory! Joey hits the numbers “33″ and then the “escape” button. Reference to... not quite sure. The fact Taylor is 33 right now and that’s the year of her escape as an artist (even though the TV’s started before this year). Maybe the fact that Speak Now TV was released/escaped when Taylor was 33. Or, since the scene takes place between the 0:30-0:39 second marks, maybe it means Taylor’s music is being freed in her thirties?

Anyway, proof below the cut. Also let me know your thoughts if you have a different theory! It’s a Taylor video and numbers - it has to mean something!

1. Firstly, it’s near impossible to see the keypad. But someone with much better photoshop skills than I have may be able to tweak it enough to see what it is.

2. A quick google of the words on the keypad (”fingerprint terminal”) found me this one which looks very similar down to the curve under the indent for where you put your finger.

3. So, going off this being the correct keypad with the numbers being the same as the one in the video, Joey hits “3-3″ and then the “ESC” button.

4. I thought maybe she hit the #9, but you can see that her (electric) touch definitely hits the ESC key - presuming the keypad from the video is the same as the one I found.

 In conclusion, the code is “33 Escape.”

Leander and Ais Rivalry

They’re an on and off again acquaintances with benefits, but I wonder…

What if Leander doesn’t like Ais due to the fact he can’t exactly control him?

Hear me out.

Leander seems to have his hand dipped in every cookie jar he can within Eridia, or at least the entirety of Lowtown(same with Vere but mostly in high town). If we, the player, ever rebelled or tried leaving, or something, he’d immediately turn the entirety of Eridia on us.

But… how far does this influence go? This influence would definitely stop the moment we step out of Eridia, unless his followers are particularly devout and hellbent on getting us at the risk of being torn to shreds by Soulless

And with Ais, this is something Leander can’t really… control or kill, possibly only placate if the situation suits it. Not only that, he can easily turn the tide by turning Leander’s followers into his with the seaspring. An unknown variable that Leander doesn’t like.

But this is something I’ve noticed, comment if you have anything~

I think the painted glass mural is something of a dragon fly although I'm not entirely sure since there are plenty of bugs with two pairs of wings

it could well be a dragonfly 🤔 theres some common themes in dragonfly symbolisation that are reoccuring in leanders motifs. if it weren't for the patterning on the 'wings' section i'd almost suspect it of being a flower ngl. we don't get a very clear shot of the whole window at any particular point. i think this is as clear as it gets.

stained glass windows first cropped up in churches, though, and were generally a sign of wealth- unattainable by most people until the late 19th century.

so where is leander during this shot, and what, exactly, is he doing there? other than putting on a very pretty light show for us obvs.

(also fascinating is the temporary themes cropping up in dragonfly imagery, and in the temporary state of the magic flowers- here now and gone in an instant. love and beauty are fleeting, are they leander? to be enjoyed while they're there, but not expected to stay? hmmm hmmm so many thoughts.)
