There are many aspects that can affect the price of a printed product. A printed products price can be affected by how much text it contains, how much color there is, how many images there are, to the size of the product, and the type of the paper used to print.
When getting a price quote for printing we needs to consider how we want the product to look and feel. By giving a printer the right information, it is much more likely that you will get a better price, as well as save yourself time when searching for a quote. For a price quote you should consider the quantity, colors, paper, size, number of pages, and finishing to obtain a proper quote from the printer. Anything and everything that goes in to the layout and design has to be considered for printing especially when doing special printing such as uv, varnish, or embossing for example.

Is printing a way of communication?
What's printing all about?
Printing is a source of communicating, it is expressing ideas and views to others by providing information through printed sources. Printing is a process for reproducing text and images, usually with ink on paper done by a printing press.
It is both made up of good visuals of design and it conveys messages as well. It doesn’t need to always contain both visuals and messages though, as long as it conveys a message to people.
What is visual communication and how does it contribute to our society at large?
Visual communication is done through the use of visual aids. It conveys ideas and information that can be read or looked upon. Visual communication relies partly on vision, and is primarily expressed with two-dimensional images. It contributes to our society at large by using visual messages accompanied by text giving power to inform, educate, or persuade a person or audience.

Are design rules meant to be broken?
Rules is defined a set of explicit or understood regulations or principles governing conduct. Rules set boundaries on our minds and limits the creativity when following everyday design rules. Creativity is endless and creativity should not be bound by rules. Being creative takes thinking outside of the box to set apart a design from the others. Being creative means breaking the rules, so break the rules and be creative. Breaking the rules in design allows for innovative and new design. Breaking the rules allows one to be able to think outside of that box and be able to disconnect themselves from the norm of design. When everyone is justifying left sometimes it's better to be different and justify right. Being different and having your own style in design is important. It's finding that detail, or finding that style in design that can set you apart which is hard. Once you find it thought, try to own it. Break the rules, they're more like guidelines anyway.
