My rehearsals have started for the show i’m stage managing, as have improv team meetings (i am the secretary of the improv team) so I’m getting more and more busy.
Tomorrow I have to participate in a work call for one of the show’s my college is doing and on sunday i have an event with another club and my grandparents will be in town.
It’s been hectic but I’ve managed to keep going.
As for what I’m learning right now! I’ve been learning set design in my theatre design class and it’s actually very cool! In my visual arts class we’re starting a photography project and in my playwriting class i’m working on writing my first draft of a ten minute play.

I’ll be honest, the past several days have been rough. There was a power outage and a gas leak. I’ve felt unmotivated and tired. Still, I’ve been pushing through and I’m glad I have.
I have a little more work to complete before tomorrow, but I’ve mostly completed it after hours and hours of procrastinating.
I guess what I’m trying to say with this post is don’t feel bad if your work takes longer than you think it should. The important thing is getting it done and doing well. If that means it takes 30 minutes that’s great. If that means it takes 3 hours that’s also great. You can do this!

It’s late but classes have been going well! My statistics class is actually super interesting and I really love my playwriting class.
Today I learned how to use podcasting equipment for my classes which was really cool honestly. I’d love to have a podcast one day. Maybe a ttrpg actual play or a media analysis one. I’m not sure.
Tomorrow evening I’ll be going out into town for an event with food trucks and games that my college is involved in. It’ll be nice to get off campus for an extended period of time to do something other than shopping.
Also Friday is my birthday! I’m really excited because my suite-mates are taking me out to dinner and I think they’re getting me a cake. One of them even bought me a silly little action figure of a character I like.
Anyways, I have some last minute writing to do for my playwriting class and I need to finish some math work so i’m going to end this here!

Finished all of the work I can currently complete for my classes! I had a productive first week of class and I’m already having a much better year than I did last year. Also met with the rest of the Improv team board (i am the secretary) to discuss our upcoming events.
I’ve also found that doodling in my notes helps me focus and feel engaged with the content. It’s not necessarily the most aesthetically pleasing, but it helps me think a lot and I’ll do whatever I can to make studying and note taking easier for myself. Below is a doodle from my Intro to Visual Arts notes.

About a week until I go back to college for my sophomore year! I’m finishing with my packing this week, as well as celebrating my birthday early with close family. I’m also going back to school shopping!
My suitemate recently sent me a video giving a tour of our suite and I’ve come to the realization that I may need to downsize the number of books I take with me because there’s not a lot of shelf space.
Speaking of suitemates, I share a suite with three other people! We’re all pretty close friends and I met all of them last year so I’m excited to be living with them. One of them has an incredibly adorable cat who is an emotional support animal approved by the college to live with us.
Feel free to talk about what you’re excited for this upcoming semester in the comments and reblogs!

Langblr, what's a language you're studying/have studied that has made someone else go "oh, you'll never actually use that though"?

there will never be a perfect time. you will never be 100% ready. the stars will never be 100% aligned for you to study.
so stop waiting for the perfect opportunity, because every opportunity is perfect.
