Damien hears the Truth

This is a one-shot canon from a Korean web novel called "LUCIA". It contains spoilers from the novel. Read at your own risk.

Damian felt nervous. Father and Mother had called him for tea in the evening. They haven't mentioned anything serious but his instincts told him it is something serious.

'Did they find about her?' he thought, 'No they couldn't I have done my best to hide her.'

He stood outside his mother's recieving room. It was nothing like the receiving room in Raom but it had the same warmth.

"Come Damien, let me pour you some tea. How did the meeting go?" His Mother asked him. She looked just as she did all those years ago and so did his father who sat next to her.

"The meeting went well Mom." He replied and took the tea his mother had made for him. He took the first sip and noticed how his father had motioned for all the maids to leave the room.

"Your father and I, we wished to discuss something with you Damien." Lucia broke the silence after taking a sip of her own tea, "Hugh tell him in detail." She elbowed her husband.

Damian always wondered how his very fragile mother rulled over the formidable Duke Hugh Taran. The world feared him and he worshipped her.

But for the first time he saw geniune delimma on his father's face. It made him worry more about what they wished to talk about.

"I never wanted to tell you this. But your mother believes you need to know this. You-"

"Remember before your father tells you anything. We love you Damien. You know that right?" Lucia cut him off in panic.

"I do mother, I do." Damien answered not only to reassure his mother but also because he felt her love. He knew that Lucia loved him as much as she loved Eve. That it didn't matter to her that he wasn't her biological son.

Damien noted that Lucia kept glancing between Hugh and him as if she wished to hold both of there hands.

"Let me start from the start. You might have realised this as well Damien, we Taran aren't like normal human beings. Our strength, mind, nature are very different from ordinary people. That is because we aren't completely human atleast not in the normal sense. I will explain you in detail later of our origin. Just know we are a fucked up bloodline that got glorified because of our-"

"Hugh!" Lucia warned him. "Damien, you and your father are not messed up. You are not just what your blood makes you. Okay?"

"Yes Mother." Damian replied. He looked at Duke to continue his story not minding his comments. He was more interested in this story. Like he was finnally getting the piece about himself that he was missing.

"Anyways children are hard for our bloodline. Boys can only be born between step siblings and girls can only be born after a tedious process. And to keep this secret hidden a lot of sacrifices and dirty play was done."

Damien paused, he felt like his world pause. But his mind was running faster than ever. "So I-"

"Keep you questions boy," his father objected, "let me finish first."

"So when the former Duke had twin sons he technically didn't need both of them. So he decided to throw away one of them. I, Hue, was given to mercenaries and my brother, Hugh was here studying as the next Duke. All was good for them untill there realise Hugh wasn't like the rest of Taran. He was gentle and kind and generous. He didn't exhibit the traits of Taran bloodline. "

Hugh paused to let everything sink into Damian. "But that wasn't acceptable so they start looking for me. Hugh already knew I existed we were brothers after all. We loved each other a lot in our own ways."

This story Damien knew. But he never knew that his father wasn't actually Hugh rather he was Hue. The son that was discarded. He suddenly realised how much his father had suffered as he could guess what was about to happend next.

"So, we both were threatened by our own parents. I was told to live as Hugh because I was what they called the perfect Taran male. And he was made to live in shadows. You know what happened next."

Hugh paused once again, this time taking a big breath. Lucia's hand come up to his back as she comforted him silently. "He loved me, and he knew that we both will be used for eternity by these people. So, he did his best and killed them all. And left me just one note. I truly hated myself then. I felt anger, sadness and helpless for the first time in my life. I-"

Hugh couldn't continue anymore. Damien felt his heart squeezing seeing his father like that. His father was truly a strong man. To endure all of this at the age of 18. He was 18 too and he couldn't even fathom how lonely his father might have felt.

"Anyways I thought my bloodline would end with me. I truly didn't want any child. I didn't not want another Taran boy with black hair and red eyes to exists."

Damien stiffened. Afterall he was the stark contrast of his father's wishes. He didn't knew when but his mother had come to sit next to him and placed a gentle hand on his arm.

"But to my surprise, came you. You were brought by the Taran Doctor called Philip. He brought you in front of me and said that my brother had a son."

Damien stopped breathing. It was him, he was the brothers son. That means his father wasn't his father. But rather his father was dead, dead years ago.

He felt his mother's hand tightining on his arm and it made him snap out of his spiral. Both his mother and father were looking at him in worry.

"My brother had told me he loved a woman, he didn't know she was his step sibling. He truly loved this woman. Your mother went away after your father died and I never looked for her. She must have handed you to Philip as he informed me that she passed away shortly after your birth. So I decided to lie. No one knew the truth that I wasn't Hugh. No one knew you were the real Hugh's son. But I knew you desrved to live from the first moment I saw you."

"You looked exactly like him when he was young too. And this might not make sense to you cause afterall we were twins but he was like Sunshine and innocent to fault. And you radiated that energy too. But it was also a fault in my plan to be the last living Taran."

"I am sorry Fathe- Duk- Hugh uh" Damien fumbled still feeling that everything was surreal.

"Oh don't start kid. I am your father, and I will be your father." Hugh insisted.

"And I am you mother, and nothing will change that. We love you." Lucia reassured him again.

"I struggled with my resolution for a long time. But then I saw you and your mother together. And I realised that Taran bloodline will end with me. Because you are not like us, you are just like that idiot. So, instead you will start a new Taran legacy. "

"I am so proud of what you have become Damien." It was not often that Damien hears his father talk so softly to him, "He would have been proud of you too."

Damien felt someone whipping his face. He didn't even realise he had shed a few tears and that his mother was whipping them. Lucia was also crying but she was trying her best to comfort him.

"Mom, I am okay. I really am." Damien assured his mother because he wasn't a small boy anymore and can comfort his mother back.

All three of them stayed silent for some moment. Damine as he took in these truths about his life. He could feel his mother staring at him and his father looking at him occasionally too.

"...Mother and father" Damien say hesitatingly, "I am okay. Don't worry." He reassured his mom.

"See I told you he would be alright, you were worried for anything." Hugh commented.

Lucia laughed at him and so did Damien. He really was shocked for a second but as he saw how much they were worried for him and how much they loved him. He knew he would take time to let that sink in but he would be okay.

"Damien, you are young but don't worry when you get married, and if you want to have children in future we know appropriate measures to take."

"MOM!"

Hugh snickers at his son's embarrassed face. He had told Lucia to hold that piece of information for later but his wife ever so curious doesn't realize that her little boy isn't little anymore.

"I know I know so whenever you have a woman you like tell us."

"Yes Mom, I will." Damine answered still red in the face.

Seeing her showering so much love on their son, Hugh felt a little mischievous and wanted to mess with Damien a little.

"Oh you would tell us. But I don't we know about her then, the one from the academy."

Both Damien and Lucia looked at him, one in disbelief and other in confusion.

It took a moment for Lucia to realise what Hugh meant but she added two and two in her head and shot Damien.

"Damien, do you have someone you like? Why didn't you tell me?" Lucia asked him visibly upset.

"Mom, I would have. But I couldn't find her, she had disappeared. So I was hesitant to tell you anything." He explained briefly.

"She had disappeared? So why aren't you going to search for her? Did you tell her you like her?"

"No I haven't told her Mom. I was studying at the academy not doing this." He said.

"You are just like your father. Let me tell you how we got married. So I was the-" Lucia started her story.

But at some point Hugh had come behind her and he promptly covered her mouth and lifted her in his arms. "You go prepare for meeting. Your mother and I will meet you for dinner."

He could hear his mother's muffled voice as his father laughed and he left the room. He wished to find love like theirs someday.

Cale-nim would hate Snape! (Judge Cale pt1.)

I think if Cale won't like Snape even one bit. Here are my arguments as to why:

Bullying Kids. In the words of Cale-nim himself, he is a trash person, but he would never hurt kids. And Snape did exactly that throughout the years. Whether it was threatening Neville so much that he became that kid's boggart. From constantly picking on Hermione to taking out the hate towards Harry's father on him. Nothing justifies bullying and hating a child, NOTHING.

Ratting out Remus. Snape not only made the students write essay on how to kill a werewolf and made Remus (the werewolf) check them. When he didn't get what he wished in the end, he let it slip to Daily Prophet that a teacher is a werewolf to the entire of ENGLAND!!

The sloppy double agent. He would have wanted Snape to fuck up more of Voldy's plans.

Hiding information. Snape had access to a lot of information throughout the book. If he wished to live a slacker life, he could have.

Cale the unlucky bastard

This is a cannon I imagine when the war is over, and everyone is back at their routines buts still have occasional get-togethers.

Albreu's POV

I never imagined that there would come a day in his life when he has taken a day off and he is relaxing with people he can call friends, in his dark elf form and drinking ridiculously expensive wine.

It was Sheritt-nim's idea to host a get-together where everyone can come and have some downtime. We all were too scared to say no to the Dragon Lord and we all love her, so naturally we filial children gather whenever and wherever the invitation says.

Over the years I have come to love these reunions and actually look forward to it. It's a highly secure place where everyone related to Cale Henitus gathers together in one place.

It was a lively day, the teleportation circle had to be redrawn at least twice by Raon-nim. People keep flooding the castle. The kids were running around playing and eating. Some adults were talking, some were in the kitchen helping cook and some were just sitting in the corner observing.

There were people from every conner of the world and some who don't even live in this world. But everyone took out time to talk to Cale for a few minutes and by the end of the day Cale looked like he had eaten a lemon and a candy together.

By nightfall, the kids were all herded to sleep and most of the adults who have travelled from far-far places also turned in for the night.

We had just said goodbye to the last of the guests. And the only wandering souls were a handful of us awake sipping wine as we sat under the night. Cale looked like he had a lot on his mind and so did Eurahben-nim. Patriarch Ron had just left to get another bottle of wine for all of us.

Eurahben-nim was the first to break his silence. "Never in my entire existence did I think that I would have to meet so many humans and beast people at the same time."

The golden dragon sounded more amused than tired and I could understand why.

"It reminds me of my company days." Cale added. He doesn't talk about the past a lot so my interest was peaked.

"How were they like?" I inquired.

Eurahben-nim too leaned in further. He was one of those people who had accepted Cale's truth in the most seamless way possible. He looked like the puzzle in his head finally made sense.

"It was a bittersweet time in my life. Before Team leader and Jung Soo died. I used be soo furstated that I have to haul there asses back home. Each and every time they would get black out drunk and I was the only one sober enough to get them out."

"After they...... left, it was a little bittersweet here I was wishing that I had them again beside me. But on the other hand, it was refreshing to see the new teammates, relax and have fun because they have been working their ass off."

Cale grew silent after that. And so did Eurahben-nim and I because somewhere along the lines even we had felt that. The bittersweet feeling of letting go of people and traditions and making a place for new ones instead. It feels like you are betraying the memory of them.

However, we forget change is the nature of life. It's okay to move on. To make places for new stuff. To sometimes forget old memories, not that Cale can forget anything. It's okay to live again.

We pretended like nothing happened when Ron came back with more wine for us. But I didn't forget to wrangle Cale into an extra tight hug when I left the next morning. And I am pretty sure Eurahben-nim patted his head secretly. Because deep down we all respect Cale Henitus for what he had survived.

TCF teachers Pt1.

If our dear characters were teaching a subject/major in school/college what shall it be.

Eurahben-nim -> Principal/Dean

I mean the all knowledgeable golden dragon deserves the most respected position though he would walk through halls while muttering 'my poor life' a lot.

2. Choi Han -> A Martial Arts Trainer

This one's a no brainer, he loves teaching and he is good at martial arts. Tough but motivating. Probably smiles a lot after his period ends. And buys random treats to kids.

3. Beacrox -> Chemistry

I feel like both his hobbies of poison knowledge and cooking has similar base as chemistry. It gives him motive to always wear white gloves too.

4. Cale -> Marketing or Client Handling

Cale could teach whatever he wants but he would pick a subject he can bullshit his way through easily. He would be the professor/ teacher who starts teaching other subjects in his class too.

5. Albreu -> Political Science / History

Another no brainer. He would want children to know what knowing history about nations, people and animals help in. And how the nation's actually work.

6. Mary -> Anatomy

And she would make it extremely simple for her students and would often go over her limited class time but no student would stop her.

7. Ron -> Criminal Profiling or Psychology

He would actually understand human physiology from different aspect and introduced children to use it in day to day life.

TCF ships

Generally I am not a fan of shipping two characters who have 0 interactions or low chemistry but TCF is exception to it all. So here are my ships which I believe in, but I know they are unusual at best.

Rosalyn and Choi Han :

I mean haven't all of us imagined them together atleast once. With the chemistry they have and the outlook towards life is similar. It also has the element of angst and slow burn too. Call me whatever but I have imagined a bandaging the wounds scene with them atleast once.

2. Rosalyn and Beacrox :

Okay I know it's a unusual choice but imagine both of them falling for each other while cooking in the kitchen. Because I have when the book said that they whip up treats for Raon-nim together.

3. Witara and Rasheel :

Another one of those people who hardly exchanged any words in the story but there personality is so similar I want them to be soulmate either platonically or romantically. The hard-headed couple/duo who doesn't know defeat.

4. Lee Soo Hyuk and Hannah :

Another pair that I know canonical is not possible due to timelines but just give it a thought, the badass couple who fights like crazy and loves like crazy.

5. Archie and Mary :

I know they never had any interaction but the one thing they both share is how strong they are and how honest they are. It gives old Wattpad books vibe.

Observation 4

Cale you can't just drop bombs like these and not expect to fall in love with you.

Cale, no Kim Rok Soo, knew what it was like to wait for something that was never going to come back. He knew that his parents were dead, but, at one point, he had hoped that they would come back if he waited long enough. Cale looked directly into the old man’s eyes. (CH 78)

After all Ten is just a big kitty with murder wepon.

The Black Panther approached Cale like it was happy. Cale dodged to the side. (CH 81)

Aww Raon-nim on his tippy toes.

Raon removed his invisibility and landed next to Cale He then tippy-toed to look inside the box. (CH 81)

Right here I thought that Raon started sounding like Cale.

“Don’t say something so obvious.” (CH 84)

Reminds me of the fact that the first thing Cale noted about Raon-nim in the cave was his gaze.

“However, just as Raon had done, Venion glared up at the Black Dragon on top of the table. It was a glare that showed that he would not give in. (CH 86)

As a oldest daughter from both side of the family what On said makes me so emotional. Like On considers Raon her own brother, thinking that he went through so much brutality would fill her with so much grief.

“…. I need to watch, that’s what I need to do.” That was what the silver kitten On was saying as she lowered her head. (Ch 86)

This was where Cale-nim started healing a part of us we never knew existed. To every kid who lost there childhood and was forced to grow up way too early. Cale is just so much comfort. (CH 86)

Raon put his face on Cale’s shoulder after hearing that. Cale’s arm was shaking but Raon pretended not to know. And Cale let Roan do that. He was only four years old. It was fine for him to act this way.

On and Hong and Kim Rook So really are very similar, smart kids who had to grow up to early because the world was cruel to them.

“No. Not Bored!” “I enjoy rolling around doing nothing the most.” Choi Han laughed and responded back. “You guys really are similar to Cale-nim.” ‘….. Is he talking shit about me?’ (CH 88)

Cale might say it often but he cared about Ron a lot and from the begining too. Ron cares about him a lot too. The way he always calls him with a level of respect not just out of fear but for admiration of his skill.

Cale stiffened up for the first time since coming over to this world. “….Ron” The assassin Ron, that sly old man, was laying on the bed. (CH 89)

Beacrox, Ron and even Choi Han could not say anything after seeing this angry expression on Cale’s face. They had never seen such a look on Cale’s face before. Cale put the blanket back onto Ron’s body. (CH 90)

Observation Pt 3.

Sorry I got really busy but I will run through them quickly.

Seeing Tonka Fight reminds me of those overpowered game charaacters who are swining there wepon untill the next command or jumping way high.

Witara's first impression of Cale-nim is so sweet.

Cale the human who was crouching on the ground covered in sea water and boulder dust while looking up at Witira, The humpback whale beast person."

Witra and Jungle Queen really have the vibe of royalty. (CH 55)

Her heart started to shake as the guardian of the ocean who protects weak creatures.

Cale and Deruth are quite similar if I say so myself. It was one reason why Cale adjusted so well in this world. (CH 59)

As Cale and Witira walk together, I wonder how Cale walks? (Ch 60

Dominating aura, the power whose voice we still don't know about. Ya I was always confused about who was the one behind this power. It can't be CJG if he was, he would have told Cale everything because we know Memories of Ancient Powers don't come under divine restrictions. It can't be White Star. My theory of it was the previous owner before white radish but that doesn't explain why it called The lord their friend. (CH 64)

Never noticed that On is older than Lily. So in order if we don't count the wolf children. It's On, Lily, Hong, Roan. Maes is older than them at 12 and Basen is probably the oldest kid. ( CH 67)

I love Violan but she seems a someone who is hiding something. Reminds me of the time she seemed lost when a certain Vampire jokes about being Cale's father later in the series.

Deruth calling Violan Wife and always respecting her opinions.As far as I remember Whipper is the only kingdom where Cale never fought.

The first appearance of "human don't smile like that. you look like you are going to scam someone again" (CH 67)

Also the few times our newly named Roan Miru called his human Cale. (CH 67)

CJG do you have a crush on someone? (CH 68)

The author seemed to have put his soul into this character, as the novel took four lines to describe Shickler's appearance.

This line reminded me of a certain alcoholic we will meet later. (CH 69)

Billos opened and closed his mouth a few times before jumping up and heading over to the cabinet in order to take out a bottle of alcohol. He then started to chug it and only stopped after emptying about half of the bottle into his mouth. "I will trust my instincts."

Becrox puts on white gloves seeing Maes and other kinds. I bet he is doing so he could inspect whether they cleaned up well or not. (CH 76)

Roslyn, I absolutely love her. And I kinda ship her with Choi Han or Beacrox.

Observation Pt. 2

*Spoilers of TCF Ahead*

So I am at the part where Cale meets Tonka for the first time, and here are the promised observation. Keep in mind that I have read TCF a good 7 to 8 times and the things I pay attention to are very different then what I would have done if reading the 4th or 5th time.

Cale was so real when he said that Paper cuts hurt a lot, so he didn't want to even think about getting cut by a sword. (Ch 19)

Hans said that Puzzle city fell out of the grace of gods, but we never get a reason for it, do we? (Ch 22)

Cale and his love for dramatics, with the whole tower and cryptic message when he sends the message to Taylor and Cage. After all Young Master is everything and cryptic hehehehhehe. (Ch 25)

When Cale said he wanted to make the Tower aesthetically pleasing, even though it's not necessary, it spoke to the perfectionist side of me. (Ch 24)

I always wondered how all of Lock's siblings got saved. Was it maybe that Rosalyn and Choi Han reached there first. Or did some of them have to be sent to investigate the disappearance of Black Dragon and therefore the delayed timeline? (Ch - 30)

Also curious about OG Cale and Eric's friendship.

I think this was where Cale made a special place in Albreu's Heart.

There isn't much to being Human.

Cale and his habit of contradicting actions. He said this about Choi Han and we all know who did what.

He rides on the whales with the whale tribe to fight against mermaids in the future.

Ohh Ron. Grandpa Ron really loves Cale a lot more than anyone realizes.

He couldn't allow Cale to go into the palace looking worse than the royal family or the other nobles. Ron did not want to see the puppy young master that he raised being looked down upon by others. That would be his last duty before he left.

Cale really compliments people's beauty a lot too. No matter whether they are male or female. He appreciates the good looks just enough.

Reading about Cale thinking about the Whale King and how he was upset over Paston's death and how he swore to not lose anyone again. It showcases how, unlike other isekiaied Main Leads, Cale never treated anyone as a character. They were always living people to him. And he respected the sensitive emotions of these people.

Also tell me I am wrong, cause in my head Tonka and Rufus Scrimgeour looks like long lost cousin:

Observation Pt. 1

*Spoilers of TCF*

So, I have been re-reading TCF again because its finals season and the book is my emotional support.

Here are somethings I noticed after the first arc (till they left for the capital):

I never understood why Beacrox followed Cale so loyally, like Ron we understand but Beacrox? But in Chapter 9 he said

Beacrox had never cared about Cale, even when his father had said that Cale was an interesting kid, but the more he saw, the more he started to agree. It felt like it would be just as fun to watch Cale as it was to watch the black-haired punk.

This was when Cale was going into the slums with bread.

Billios had a similar reason too at first, that Cale was an interesting person. After of course, he heard found 'enlightenment' in his words.

Ron was planning to leave Cale just about when Choi Han came along. That was why he wanted to train the kittens to take care of Cale.

He also mentions he talks to people about his 'Puppy Young Master'. But who? Because he can't talk to servants about it for sure.

Also Imma gonna keep track of the chapters where Cale got powers.

So, I was thinking that the irony of TCF is that Cale-nim would absolutely love to read a book like Trash of the Count's Family too. It's literally his type. Happy ending (hopefully), smart MC, a team of professionals who are ever-growing powerful, major power players.

Which got me thinking what other books would Cale-nim love?

And here are my guesses:

THE TRUTH ABOUT TIA

~ Perez and Florentia

(Manhwa One Shot PT 1)

Spoilers ahead

Perez knew he was dreaming, he had to be. Because he was seeing such an absurd scenario that it was only possible in his worst nightmare. He looks at the dream Perez walk past a black-haired Tia in civilian clothes not even sparing her a glance. And the dream Tia shoots his dream version a glare.

He then sees himself asking Chaton Soseue why he was late, to which he realised his carriage hit someone as his horse went out of control. His dream self doesn’t pay much attention to it. But Chaton still continues telling how a woman was killed in the accident and that it was the last surviving Lombardi, Florentia Lombardi.

And his dream self doesn’t respond to it. Again. At this point, Perez hopes to wake up from this nightmare but he can’t. His dream self looks broken and all he wants to do is shake him up and tell him to go look for Tia, there is no way Tia died.

He screams in frustration. It does the trick and he wakes up with a jolt.

The room is still dark, but there is no mistaking it, its Tia’s room at the empress palace. The same room where he has spent every possible night.

He looks at Tia, fast asleep beside him and quickly gathers her in his arms, fearing someone would take her away from him, just like they did in the dream. But he isn’t careful in his desperation and Tia wakes up.

“Perez?” comes her muffled voice.

“Sleep.” He tells her.

“Perez, why are you sweating so much, why is your heart beating so fast? What’s wrong?” Tia’s voice rises in octaves as she tries to struggle out of his arms to look at him.

“I will tell you in the morning Tia. Sleep. Please.”

“Okay. Just tell me you are okay. Or should I send for Estria?” She answers.

“No no, I am fine. I am fine because you are with me, Tia. Now please sleep.” Perez reassures her, rubbing her back so she goes back to sleep.

“Okay okay. But you better tell me in the morning.” She warns him and snuggles more into him.

IN THE MORNING

As Perez comes out of the bath, he sees a massive feast in Tia’s room. He knows Tia’s worried about his behaviour last night. He can feel her gaze follow him from where she is waiting on the table as he gets dressed.

On their days off, like today, they try to spend the morning together and then spend time with their kids and family.

“Perez, come fast.” Tia orders sounding every bit worried and annoyed.

Perez laughs and throws the comb, knowing that Tia would love him even though his hair’s a little mess.

“Don’t worry Tia, it was just a nightmare. I am fine.” He explains trying not to worry her further.

“Perez, whatever it was, it scared you badly. I haven’t seen you that afraid in years.”

Seeing her green eyes, silently begging him to tell her, he gives in and narrates almost everything. He won’t tell her how his dream self reacted to her accident. He himself wasn’t ready to accept it yet.

He thought he did job being vague but the pensive look on Tia’s told him a different story.

“Tia?” He calls her.

“Should I tell you? I should tell you.” She mumbles to herself.

“Tia? What is it? You can tell me anything. I won’t let anything to you. You know I am the Emperor I can keep you safe from any harm.”

But Tia didn’t reply and continued staring at him troubled. Perez couldn’t take it anymore so he rose from his seat and kneeled in front of hers, drawing her hands to himself.

After a beat of silence, Tia said. “What I am about to tell you is very absurd okay? I hope you believe.”

“Every word you say is gold for me Tia. Please, tell me.” He tries his best to reassure her.

“So you know how my mother is from a tribe, right? Well her tribe has a secret. They all are born with different superpowers.” Tia pauses as if to let it sink in and then she continues seeing the utmost trust in Perez’s eyes.

“The greater the power they have, the tougher the consequences were. For example, my mother could see the future. She knew when she had me she would pass away, but she loved me and my dad enough to go through with it. Her lifespan was affected by her choices. As her daughter, I had powers too. But since I was born half between her and my father, my powers come with less scope and close to no consequences.”

“Do you want to know my power, Perez?” She questions, knowing full well he is a sucker for anything from her. But she needed to see his desire to continue this, to know that-

“I won’t stop loving no matter what it is.” He responds as if he knows what she wants to hear.

Florentia takes a deep breath, “I have lived three lives.”

Perez was ready to hear anything and not show any shock to his Tia. But this was beyond his wildest dream. He never let go of Tia’s hand, but his brain was running faster than ever. Slowly a lot of Tia makes more sense to him.

“So did you marry me in all three of them?” He asked.

“Is- Is that’s what you curious about?” Florentia felt it was so absurd that she burst out laughing.

“Yaa its important to me.”

“No,” she answered after composing herself, “I had lived a life in a different world. And I have lived once as Florentia once too. This is my final life and I choose to live this with you.”

“Tia I am so happy you wanted to live with me.” Perez had a renewed will to make this life of Tia the best one she had. She should never regret choosing him.

“And your dream was how I died in my last life.” She muttered begrudgingly.

Perez paused. All plans to sweep Tia off her halting. His eyes shook and his body went rigid on the floor.

“Wh- what?”

Cale Cooking!

So, this a canon I have always imagined. It’s mentioned in the TCF that Cale knows how to cook Korean food from his Kim Rok Soo days. But I imagine Cale to be an excellent cook because he always undermines himself.

It’s not always that Beacrox is ill but even he fell ill after the strenuous fighting season was over. The children wished to cook something for him and were creating a mess in the kitchen, so Cale decided to shoo them out and take over the cooking while Rosalyn and CH cleans the mess and Ron runs an errand in the village.

So, Cale decides to take matters into his own hands.

Cale: Enough! All children out of the kitchen, now.

Roan: Human NOOOOOO!

Hong: Yess we want to cook Beacrox Uncle!!!

On: We would really love to give him something homemade.

Cale sighs.

Cale: Okay I will cook, and you all will help when I tell you too.

Cale got to work, he thought that a quick soup with some fresh bread and some hot coco would be enough. So he got to work, he kneaded the bread out of the left-over flour. He asked Roan and Hong to slowly control the heat around the melting chocolate, Choi Han to cut the vegetables and meat, Rosalyn to pre heat the oven with magic and On to get run to the underground house and bring some spice they got from the east.

Over the course of the next 1 hour he collected all the food in enough quantities to fulfill the small town they house at here at the Black Castle. The loaves were baking, soup was simmering, the hot coco was being filled in glasses for everyone's easy access.

Eventually he prepared one plate with all the food and told the children to give it to Beacrox.

Roan: You are not coming with us Human?

Cale: No, I don’t want to get catch whatever bug he has.

He then turned and left the kitchen. But everyone knew that despite that rude response how carefully he has made each item.

When Ron tasted the food, he knew instantly it wasn’t someone who has cooked for the first time. But the food was so healing, the rich but light taste of soup, the airy and slightly sour bread and the subtly sweet hot coco, that he didn’t question it much. He never knew his tiger young master could cook so well.

But the fact brings him peace that when he is gone and someone forgets to feed his Young Master, he can cook for himself.

The Children enjoyed the food so much that they ran again and again to the kitchen to sneak multiple helpings even late after dinner was over. Choi Han was almost nostalgic for a second remembering the young, malnourished Kim Rok Soo.

Cale after years of eating just enough actually ate more than necessary for once, enjoying the taste of his own food after years and getting a little lost in olden days.

Anxiety

With the way Cale and Roan constantly mention Albreu in the recent chapters, it has contributed to a lot of my anxiety.

And even though its a little unrealistic I would love for TCF to end with everyone alive and well. I can’t survive another ORV.
