Honour the uncertainty you experience. All things are birthed from a void of some form. New beginnings are being birthed and clarity and ease will prevail.

What are some of your favorite Red Hood comics? I really like Jason as a character and I wanna read more about him
I’ll tell you my favourites, most of which I consider essential if someone really wants to know who Jason is. 😊
1. Anything you can get your hands on from pre-Death in the Family featuring Jason as Robin. Most importantly:
Batman: Second Chances (featuring Bruce taking Jason in).
Superman: For the Man who Has Everything (featuring the sweetest, most innocent baby Jason ever).
Reading Robin Jason, you see that Jason was actually a freaking adorable child with a sweet heart, and that all those people that killed him off back then were just mindlessly hating on him because they were upset Dick left the mantle. These comics feature several lovely moments, and they’re gold for Bruce and Jason’s relationship: it’s the only comics in which Bruce is presented, like... an actual person (to Jason). It's back when Bruce used to genuinely love Jason as his son...

... admit that he can actually do wrong, but always trying to be better for Jason...

... and was supportive and understanding to him.

2. Red Hood: The Lost Days (featuring everything Jason has been through since his resurrection, as well as his training. Several truly heartbreaking moments too). Written by Judd Winick, the canon writer who knows, understands and loves Jason more than any other, never shying away from his issues while always keeping him in character.

3. Rebirth’s Red Hood and the Outlaws #0 - #25 & the Annuals 1 & 2 (excellent characterization for Jason, extra kudos for Jason’s adorable relationship with Bizarro).
Tumblr media
4. Under the Red Hood - essential. It’s a key comic for Jason. He's rarely been presented as smart and capable as he was in UtRH. It’s also key for understanding his motives, logic and feelings. Written by previously mentioned Judd Winick.
Tumblr media
5. A Death in the Family - also key to Jason’s character, and one of the most iconic comic books ever. It does feature some character bashing and some victim blaming (DC was trying to defend themselves for going through with killing Jason off by constantly mentioning how he was responsible for his own death) but it’s too huge to not be taken into consideration. After all, there are good things about it as well. Aside from Jason, it’s also probably the most defining moment for Bruce’s character as well (some people argue that this is even more defining than his parents’ deaths).
Tumblr media
6. 80th Robin Anniversary: More Time - an adorable and bittersweet story (in my opinion, the best in that book) by Judd Winick.
Tumblr media
7. Arkham Knight: Genesis - a great alternate universe with a very interesting take on Jason (Tomasi also actually understands and respects the character, and the fans).
Tumblr media
!! Bonus !!
Red Hood/Arsenal: this is just freaking fun adventures with Jason and Roy being awesome. Jason is very much in character.
DCeased: Unkillables: an excellent comic in every single way (it’s not just Jason that gets excellent characterization, it’s pretty much every single character in it). And this comes from someone that generally dislikes Tom Taylor (the writer).
Batman and Robin Eternal: nice and cute, featuring very good characterization for Jason (for the most part), and having him bonding with Tim and a few others (the right way, not by bashing Jason, forcing him to change his beliefs or turning him into something that he isn't, like Urban Legends and all current comics like to do).
