The Bad Ones
I want forbidden
Secrets and late nights,
Painting our nails,
Quiet turning into loud
And shutting up so no one hears,
Laughing turning into tears,
All because You
Said something that shouldn't hurt,
Because you turn me inside out
And You touch my screaming inside-out skin
And You tell me you think it's pretty
And I smile with ugly black teeth
And You kiss Me,
And We are disgusting together,
And You spill your water on the bed,
And We sleep anyway,
And I don't know how to believe
This could not be a secret.
I do not think I can realize
My joy being lawful.
Am I allowed to have the nice things now?
If I love,
Can it be told out loud?
Because I know God will hear about us & ruin it,
He’ll kill us.
He will find the light in you & I
And with his envy,
Mercilessly make us bleed.
Because We found something,
Because We made something,
Nothing to do with him.
