I'VE LOST THE GAME!
It's come to my attention that a good portion of the younger generation has not been made aware of one of the greatest and most hated PILLARS of millennial society.
So I apologize, but I must take on this task. A new hand must touch the beacon. The knowledge must be passed on. The chain can not be broken.
So.
The Game.
The following are the rules of The Game:
there is no winning The Game
once you know of The Game, you are always playing the game
the point of The Game is to not think about The Game
if you think about The Game, you have lost The Game, and must announce this to those around you - causing them to also lose The Game
A "reset period" of roughly an hour or two before loss announcements is common in colloquial rules to allow yourself and those around you to properly temporarily "forget" about The Game, however that is not an official rule.
Go forth, you next generation, and I am sorry.

This is just true I would've really liked a duel between Belos Lilith and Eda at the same time. Because like the clawthorne sister really needed to show off how good they got with glyphs but also how close they'd become. Also we never saw scary Belos no holding back showing his true power before his palisman form took over.
One regret with how TOH played out is that we didn't get more moments of Eda's supreme power like we did in the end of season one. We needed more scenes like the showdown between Eda and Lilith.

“Nobody’s going to want to sit on high-speed rail for fifteen hours to get from New York City to LA.”
Me. I will sit on high-speed rail for fifteen hours. I’ll sit on it for days. I’ll write and read and nap and eat and then do it all over again. I’ll stare out the windows and see America from ground level and not have to drive. I’ll see the Rockies and the deserts and cornfields and the Mississippi River and your house and yours and yours too. I’ll make up stories in my head about the small towns I see as we go along. I’ll see the states I’ve yet to see because driving or flying there is a fucking slog and expensive to boot. I’ll enjoy the ride as much as the destination. And then I’ll do it all over again to come the fuck home.

Not sure if hungry or nauseous but moving makes my body mad so I'll eat later
One of my least favorite mental illness things is "hungry but dont feel like eating" and its companions "hungry but all the food in the house is Illegal," "hungry but can't make anything," and "hungry, want to eat, but why bother"

The curse of modern fandom is that it has allowed fans to get even closer to artists, but they won't view the artists as people.
Human limits, human mistakes, human feelings, human needs, are never ascribed to artists, and when other fans rightfully point out, "hey, humans are making this, maybe don't harass them or demand they cater to your personal tastes," it gets shut down under, "uh, people who make popular mainstream things are automatically Public Figures who are also probably rich, so eat the rich and destroy artists over every perceived minor fault. <3"
Even though there's, y'know, a really big strike currently going on because those artists are very much not rich or influential or in control of the bullshit.

Honestly thank you it was an amazing experience.
Couldn't sleep so decided to listen to Looking For Alaska at 2 in the morning. I knew nothing about this book going in I generally thought it was going to be about the state and I could use it to help me sleep. It is now 8 in the morning, I have not slept, it is 6 days after, and I'm sobbing. I really wish I had known what I was getting into.
Sidenote: I went to bed last night with the plan to get up early and study. That had not happened.
