Kaeya just trying to enjoy his wine while trying to relax after a long day of work

“Dude shush, they’re right there. And I never said that. What are you talking about?” Kaeya choked on his wine

He looks back at you and you just melt his heart. He would do anything for you. When Diluc says if he’d rather eat a living Cryo slime or join the Fatui, Kaeya would he the Cryo slime for you. No joke, he almost had to one time.

“Kaeya, look I found this flower. Look.” You say holding the flower

“Yes Y/n it’s very pretty. You know what?” He asks

“What?” You say with curiosity just filling your eyes.

He lifts your chin and says, “it’s not as pretty as you.”

~Flashback to when you were around 6~

You saw a flash a red then soon found yourself on the floor being suffocated by the boy. You then hug back as you soon became aware of what was happening.

“I missed you too Diluc.”

“Wanna go play?”

“Yeah!”

~Next day~

“Diluc?”

“Diluc? Where are you? Diluuuuuc?”

That was when you realized

No one’s even in the house. You waited in there everyday to await their arrival back from whatever they were doing. But that day didn’t come. For 13 years.

During those years, you improved your combat and survival skills. You were alone. No parents, no friends, all alone. Till you met Amber. She stayed by your side until she had to leave. That left you alone for 10 years. You began to develop trust issues and major depression at age 16. You decided to just travel the world, “who the hell needs shitty people anyway? All they do is leave.” You made a shit ton of food and preserved it so it wouldn’t go bad, made weapons and enough courage to not die. And so then you mapped out your entire route along with your life.

~Flash-forward present day~

(Y/n pov)

‘So it’ll take me this long from Liyue to Monstadt……*mumble*’ I probably looked crazy just talking to yourself.

“Y/nnnnnnnn I can’t believe you’re leavinggggggg(ᗒᗣᗕ)՞” HuTao exclaims. I know I said I wouldn’t ever trust anyone again but HuTao has been glued to my hip ever since day one. She’s practically like your sister who you love dearly.

“I’ll be back, I’m just going to Monstadt.” I said wiping her tear.

“I still can’t believe you’ve never been to Monstadt before.” She said sniffling.

“I know I know but that’s why I’m going, I want to see the world. I still have yet to go to Inazuma. I’ll be back Tao, I promise.” You say getting up and kissing the top of her head.

“Here I made this for you.” She says handing you her famous rice balls.

“Awwww Tao, thank you. I’ll bring something back, ok?“ I say putting the food in a safe space.

“Yay, thank you. Love you.” She mumbled while giving you a hug.

“Love you too Tao.” I say returning the hug.

“Oh, you’re leaving Y/n.” Zhongli says as he peers out from the door.

“Yes, I’ll miss you and here. Stop bugging Childe.” You say making your way over to him handing him a shit ton of Mora.

“You know me so well Y/n?” He says accepting the bag.

“Bye-bye.” I wave

~Fast forward a tad~

I decided to stop at the Wangshu Inn and take a break.

“Xiao, you can come out now. You know I see you.”

Silence

“*sigh* I have almond tofuuuu~” I say pulling it out of my bag

He come out almost immediately

“Damn, I got caught.” He said accepting the tofu.

“Hello to you too I guess.” I said crossing my arms offendedly.

“Yeah yeah hello Y/n.” He said with the food shoved in his mouth.

“How’s the Adepti life?” I say

“Meh.”

~the next day~

Me and Xiao stayed up half the night catching up and drinking.

I started making my way to Springvale as soon as I can. I kept HuTao in my mind to keep pushing myself forward. She’s my motivation to travel and bring her back cool things I find. I find some mushrooms here and there and a sunsettia on a few trees. I found a pot over a fire and decided to cook some meat. After that I went to Springvale, I’ve heard people talking s thing called the ’Dawn Winery’ so I’ve decided to go see for myself. After all I need a good drink and maybe I could find Venti there.

I approach the huge winery and I see some ladies in maids outfits and ask if I could get some wine to go

“Hello excuse me.” I say making my way to them

“Yes ma’am how can I help?” The woman named Adeline says sweetly

“I was wondering if I could get some wine to go. I’m traveling and need some on the way.” I explain

“Oh we don’t do that, we just make it here. But you can go to the ‘Angels Share’ in Monstadt if you want to have some.” She says apologeticly

“Oh that’s fine, that’s actually where I’m headed.” I thank

“I’m sorry.” She says looking down.

“No no no it’s ok. May I ask, who owns this winery?” I ask.

“Um I can’t say, he’d rather that information be kept private.” She says

“Oh that’s fine. Bye-bye” I wave.

~in Monstadt~

‘Finally, I made it.’ I mentally say

I walk around to find the ‘Adventurers Guild’ and all these cool shops. I ran by the welders to see if they could replace my dull weapons. I handed a bag of Mora and set on my way to the ‘Angels Share’

I open the door to see him

Fucking Diluc Ragnvindr

“Hey welcome to the Angels Share, I’ll be what you in a minute.” He says not even looking up from cleaning the glass.

“Wow, not even for me.” Sounding pissed off more then ever. Little Electro sparks started coming from your form.

“The hell you think you are?” Still not looking up.

“Take a wild guess.” You say still fuming.

He finally looks up and gasps audibly

“Y-Y/n?” He said with trembles.

“Yeah, the fuck is wrong with you? Leaving a fucking 6 year old alone for 14 years?” I say with my voice cracking.

He takes you down to the cellar and closes the door.

“Y/n I’m so sorry. I’m so, so, so sorry. I never meant to leave so suddenly I though I’d be back in time but I was wrong. Please forgive me. Please.” He says voice cracking, with tears threatening to fall. He embraced you in a hug you missed for years.

This made your heart ache and shatter. You needed to know why he left so soon.

“Why? Why’d you leave me?” I say returning the hug

-he tells the story-

You gently wipe his tears that weren’t stopping from coming out of his eyes like waterfalls.

“Shh it’s ok baby I’m here now.” You say rubbing his back and playing with his hair as he let it down a while ago.

“There’s actually something I need to say. Now I understand if you don’t feel this way but please, I don’t want to stop being friends.” He says while still laying in your lap.

“Yes, Diluc?”

“I love you, and have for a while. I wanted to tell you as soon as I saw you again.” He said with a blush forming on his ears.

“….. I’m glad this isn’t one sided. I love you too Diluc” you say placing a kiss on his nose.

This made his blush even darker and he covered his hands with his face.

“Do you know where Venti is? I’d like to catch up with him” you ask.

“Oh he’s upstairs drinking his life away.”

“I’m not surprised. Imma challenge him to a drinking contest.” You say proudly
