Earth represents abundance, strength, femininity, wealth, prosperity and stability. In Ritual we use things like dirt, stones, wood, herbs and leaves to represent the element earth. We might tend to focus more on this element when casting a spell for business, fertility, prosperity and stability.

Like with the element air, we use incense when meditating to symbolize (or help) opening up our minds. We also sometimes use the element fire by lighting candles when meditating to symbolize (or help) healing, or purify the space we are meditating in.

What can I tell you about Amethyst?

It’s probably my favorite stone of all because it’s such a strengthener. You can use it to strengthen your endocrine and immune systems; to help ease your arthritis; to help cleanse and energize your blood. It helps strengthen your hearing and your bones. It helps with mental disorders and memory. Whenever I have a hard time remembering or thinking up something, I reach for some amethyst and clutch that motherfucker in my fist and focus. I’ve done some of my best writing whilst wearing amethyst, now that I think about it.

I find it vastly important to use for strengthening my intuition, psychic ability, creativity, and courage. It’s a great purifier and regenerator for the many levels of consciousness and enhances your third eye. It helps balance the energies of the intellectual, emotional, and physical bodies. It clears auras and helps provide stability, strength, invigoration, and peace. So that makes it ideal for meditating with.

It can also be used to treat nervous disorders, stomach issues, heart problems, digestive issues, problematic skin, and teeth. It’s one of the most effective crystals for healing people, plants, and animals. Just natural, unfancied up amethysts or geodes work phenomenally in places where plants can’t grow or where animals don’t like being because it counteracts any negative earth energies beneath an area that’s considered fucked.

I wear an amethyst to also help protect me against psychic attacks, paranormal fuckery, and other similar harmful shit. Amethyst recycles energies back into the universe after absorbing negative energy and transforming it into positive energy. I’m sure everyone can definitely appreciate that.

Amethyst is a smooth operator. I believe it to be the most calming stone. It helps with relieving obsessive compulsive disorder and hyperactivity in kids and with animals. You can place it under pillows or mattresses to help with insomnia and bad dreams you may be having. I don’t find it incredibly helpful for mine, but hey, it may work for you.

It’s a great stone for people who deal with assholes and difficult people on a daily basis because it helps you keep your temper and gives you a clear head; the better to knock them down a peg with. Not that I’d ever suggest you go about creating more negative energy in fighting with people, I’m merely suggesting you wear an amethyst to reign in your desire to bash someone’s face in.

Amethyst is a good stone to use for curbing all the shittiness you may find yourself getting into, like overindulgence and bad habits. I’ve used it to help me curb unnatural fixations and drug addiction in the past. I have a very addictive personality and have a tremendously hard time quitting things and letting things go. I’m constantly wearing amethyst to help with all that.

Give an amethyst (in some sort of wearable form) to your friend who likes to drink heavily and act an ass; the Greek word “amethystos” means “not drunk”, and amethysts can be worn to sober someone up a bit.

How to access your past lives

By Ellen A. Mogensen with the inspired help of the Guardians of Time

Preparation:

Careful preparation is the key to the success of this exercise.

1> Most people need to do this exercise daily for at least a month before they begin to get anything that is meaningful about their past lives. So you will probably need to have some patience with the process. Yet if you are patient and have a sincere desire to do further past life journeying, you will be successful.

2> Remember to do this process slowly. You must focus on completely relaxing your body and your mind so that images of your past lives can be brought gently into your conscious awareness. Each time you do this exercise you will go ever more deeply into yourself. The deeper you go, the more answers you get.

3> Ask for your Higher Self, your Guides, your Guardian angels, and whatever other servants of the universe you like to be present for the entire session and to keep you safe and protected at all times.

4> Being comfortable is the key. You can lie down (recommended) or sit up. If you opt to sit up, you must be supported and feel fully relaxed and comfortable. Be sure to loosen any restrictive clothing

5> Do this exercise in a peaceful place where you will be completely quiet and undisturbed for the entire session when you are fairly well rested (so you will NOT fall asleep) . This entire exercise should last for NO longer than 45 minutes. Set an alarm or timer to snap you out of it should the session run longer.

6> Pick a special intention for you past life journey. It could be "what I most need to see", "what I most need to heal", or "the explanation for my life's purpose", "about a past personality", or "a special need".

How to Do This Exercise:

1> Take some deep, refreshing breaths until you are totally comfortable and relaxed in whatever position you have chosen (it should take you no more than 3 minutes to get comfortable).

2> Close your eyes and envision a golden white ball of healing light. Send that ball of healing light to each part of your body in turn. Start with your feet, go up your calves, over your knees, along your thighs, through you hips and stomach, along your torso, though your chest and heart, along your shoulders, along your arms, to your hands, back up to your neck, and through your head until you are relaxed.

b> You should be in a place of perfect peace and stillness. Your body should now be filled with beautiful healing light. Take a moment to bask in it: feel it's warmth and it's safety.

3> Go inside and connect with your inner vision. On the screen of your mind, imagine a closed door at the bottom of a staircase. See yourself walking to the staircase. See yourself slowly walking down the stairs. When you get to the bottom of the stairs, you will see two things.

b> On the RIGHT side, there is a door with big red letters on it which say "MY PAST LIVES". Right now, the door is closed. Behind the door is the gateway to your past lives.

4> While you are sitting or lying on the comfortable couch, let the love of the universe surround you. Know that at all times, you are completely safe and protected by all your guides.

b> If you do want to go through the door, rise from the couch and move in front of the door.

5> Before starting your journey back through time, you need to declare the following to the universe. This is absolutely necessary to make sure that your past life journey is a safe and pleasant one.

b> "I will see, hear, and experience everything about my past lives as if I was watching a movie. Just as a movie cannot harm me, my journey through my past lives cannot harm me."

c> "I am clear on my intention for my past life journey which is…. (what you prepared above)."

6> Open the door. If the door does NOT open, then the universe is telling you to go back to the couch. If you chose to continue, it is your choice. Just consider that it might be for your own good to stop. When you are ready, go inside the "Past Life Room". Inside this room, you will see two things.

a> On the wall of the "Past Life Room", there is a WHITE SCREEN with BLINDS over it that is shut and down. b> On either side of the white screen are two buttons: one isGREEN and one is RED . c> On the LEFT, the GREEN button opens the blinds and shows you your past lives. d> On the RIGHT, the RED button closes the blinds and takes to back to the safe, comfy couch.

7> When the blinds go up, you will see an image of yourself in a past life. This will be the past life that you most need to see or the past life that most closely matches your special intention.

b> If you are having difficulty seeing yourself on the Past Life Screen, ask to see the feet of your past life personality. Try to see what it is that you are wearing on your feet. Are they shoes, sandals, boots, or are your feet bare?

c> Once you see your feet, slowly look up to see the rest of you. Once you are in focus, look at yourself on the screen. Take a moment to steady the image, then say "Action!".

8> Whenever you are ready, press the GREEN button to open the blinds and begin your journey. The first time keep your journey to 20 or 30 minutes. Only go longer once you have had more practice.

9> Whenever you feel your journey has ended or if the alarm goes off, it is time to come back. Reach to your right and press the RED button. You will be back at the comfortable couch. Take a few minutes to rest there. Then get up and walk back up the staircase to where you began your journey.

Like a deep sea diver come back up slowly to the surface of your conscious awareness. You have been to a deep place within you and you must readjust to your normal waking state.

Example: The point of doing this exercise is to delve into your past lives. Unlike a movie, this is always an intensely personal journey that will speak to you on many levels. It will be different for everyone since everyone is unique. When you first start journeying through time, ask to be shown pleasant past life images so you can master the process. I wish you well on your journeys to the inner worlds.

Chios Energy Healing

SYMBOLS AND VISUALIZATION By Stephen H. Barrett (Using Symbols to Call In Extra Energy)

A good first step in learning to give more powerful and effective healing treatments is to learn to call in greater amounts of healing energy into yourself. In fact, the effective use of most of the healing tools you will learn in Chios Level II also requires that you have the ability to call in this greater amount of energy for use in healing.

In the first Chios level you learned how to call in the energy by "seeing," in your mind's eye, the energy flowing into you from all around, down your arms and into your hands and then conducting into your patient. In this level, you will also use healing symbols, which are tools—vehicles for the focus of energy. Your first important use of healing symbols will be to employ them to greatly add to the amount of energy you call in and channel into your patient. It is possible to call in and channel the energy without using symbols, as you already have done, but your use of symbols will add much to the quantity and power of the energy you are able to bring in and channel. The symbols will have other uses that you will learn, too, such as clearing blocked chakras.

There are three symbols used in this level of the Chios system: the Circle, the Trine, and the Star. These symbols are simple and elementary, it is true, but they are also closely related to the elementary essence of all existence—they are simple and close to the essence and this gives them the potential to be powerful and effective. Humanity has had an instinctive understanding of the powers that move in the physical world, the essence of the powers that make existence possible, the powers that build form and give shape to all we know. This instinctive understanding recognizes the shape of these powers, and in the mind's eye these symbols take shape as representative of the most fundamental and important aspects of the creative power of the field of pure consciousness.

These symbols are not merely physical shapes; they are universal symbols that correspond to universal patterns of energy and awareness. There is, in each symbol, an essence linked to the shape. They are, in their essence, representations of the ways in which energy and awareness flows in our manifested world, and are therefore useful in healing work. Do not think that because these Chios symbols are simple they cannot be powerful. At various times in the past, humanity has been much more aware of the power and uses of simple symbols than we are today, in our modern technological civilization, where it is often mistakenly assumed that something must be complex to be powerful. These three symbols have been known and used as symbols of power in virtually every culture on earth, and in the magical tradition as well. While there are other symbols that have been used in healing work, these particular symbols are as powerful, and potentially more powerful, than any.

It may interest you to have some idea of the meaning and the essence behind each of these symbols—indicative of the energy patterns they represent—and this is given below. Do not be bound by these descriptions, however, because a true understanding of the essence of these symbols transcends description. The description is only an approximation of an essence to each symbol that is beyond words or ideas. It is important, therefore, not to think of any meaning when using these symbols, but just to be aware of the symbol itself. The true meaning and power is inherent in each symbol.

The Circle:

The Circle, which is the outline of a circle (not filled in), is the symbol of wholeness, unending life force, and the unity of creation—the beginning and end of all things. It attunes with the all. It is complete, and draws together and encompasses all that is. It also represents duality, inside and outside, but shows, in its completeness, that apparent duality resolves itself in unity, in one being. This is the pattern of energy and awareness inherent in the shape of the Circle.

In healing, one often works with separated (polar) energies—energies not completely connected or harmonious. The Circle not only calls forth polar energies; it pulls them together and resolves them. You will shortly learn to use the Circle (in combination with the Trine) to call in a greater amounts of the energy, at the beginning of treatments. When calling in the energy using these two symbols, the Circle is used first, to draw life energy from the earth and all around, using the body life force to receive the universal life energy, the two energies meeting. It uses the energy that is already in the body to receive the energy that exists all around. It assists you the healer in opening yourself to, and in bringing in, the energy.

The Circle creates an opening of the spirit, a balanced harmony between the spirit and the earth.

The Trine:

The Trine, which is the outline of an equilateral triangle (not filled in), is the symbol of penetration to higher levels of existence. It increases the rate of vibration of the energy and the vibrational level of your awareness, and awakens the mind to the higher levels. It points upward and connects this world to the higher worlds. This is the pattern of energy and awareness inherent in the shape of the Trine.

Its three sides correspond to the many trinities in spiritual systems, but especially as a symbol of the passing, from one to the other, between incarnation and discarnate life (the base points of the Trine), with the goal of spiritual growth and rising above the world towards a state of self-realization and spiritual liberation. As a symbol of this ascension, it represents a heightened and broadened awareness, and a refined perception: an ascension to a higher level of reality.

When the Trine is used at the beginning of healing treatments, it takes the universal life energy that has been brought in, by the Circle, and moves it upwards towards higher vibrational levels—it raises the energy to a higher rate of vibration. This lends a more powerful and purifying effect to the healing energy, and also increases your sensitivity to the energy.

The Trine leads the spirit towards growth; it is an elevation of the personal spirit as it relates to this existence, a rising from the earth.

The Star:

The Star, a regular five pointed star filled in to a solid shape, is a channel for energy between our physical world and the field of pure consciousness which is the spiritual source and essence of all creation. It is different from the Trine, but can be thought of as the Trine symbol focused and combined with this earth (trine shapes spaced around a circular outline). The Star has five points pointing in, and five pointing out, indicative of this use as a channel for energy between this world and the higher spiritual reality. This is the pattern of energy and awareness inherent in the shape of the Star.

One way the Star is used in Chios is to draw and focus energy from the higher level into this physical world: to tap the healing power inherent in pure consciousness and channel it down into the physical body to correct major distortions in energy flow which would otherwise be very difficult to correct. The Star is also very effective when used to treat the 7th chakra. The Star (as a channel between our worldly life and the realm of pure consciousness) has a close correspondence with the nature of the 7th chakra (our spiritual totality—the total relationship we have between the world of spirit and our material existence). The energetic pattern inherent in the Star conforms with the spiritual nature of the 7th chakra, and so the 7th chakra can be powerfully cleared and energized through use of the Star.

The Star is beyond the earth—it is where there is no beginning and no end, to a broader existence, not even existence, beyond existence. As we all exist on this earth now, we also exist above. As you might stand on the shore and watch the waves on the ocean, feeling a stirring within, the Star calls forth the beyond and all times. It is our higher self, the totality of our being. The Star is a channel to a realm beyond time and space. It is the light above us, and in us, and leads to an understanding of eternity.

Using Visualization to Direct Energy:

The ability of these three Chios symbols to direct energy is activated by visualizing them. Visualization is a very useful tool in healing, because it enables you to direct energy in many different ways. "Energy follows thought" is a well-known maxim, and the meaning of this saying is that the proper visualization of energy flow, in your mind's eye, is sufficient to direct the energy in whatever manner you desire. This may be done by visualizing the flow of the energy itself, in whatever pattern desired, or through other methods—the use of symbols which represent patterns of energy flow being an important example. When you visualize a pattern of energy flow, in your mind's eye, the energy is activated to flow in that manner. When you visualize a symbol in your mind's eye, the nature of energy flow that is contained in the essence of that symbol is activated, and the energy flows according to that nature. Both of these uses of visualization are important and will be used in Chios Level II.

In order to make effective use of this ability to direct energy through visualization, however, you must visualize in the proper way. When you visualize an energy flow, for example, it is important to understand that visualization is not the same as "thinking about" the desired energy flow, or "pretending to see" the energy flow, but is a process of sensing and becoming the energy flow, in your mind's eye. Visualizing in the proper way, by sensing and becoming the desired energy flow, allows you to become a pure channel for the healing power of pure consciousness, which is what actually directs the energy in the manner visualized and cause it to heal the energy field of your patient in the manner required. When you visualize a symbol, it is similarly important that you sense and become one with the symbol, and not merely "think about" or "pretend to see" it. This proper visualization of the symbol is what activates the inner essence, the inherent power of the symbol from the field of pure consciousness, and sets the energy flow into motion according to the pattern of energy flow that the symbol represents. Visualization is the process of maintaining a particular symbol or a pattern of energy flow in your awareness, in a complete and effortless way. It must be effortless, because you are creating a pure channel in yourself—effort is an imposition of your mind, and clouds the real power which flows through you. This is this proper practice of visualization: an effortless sensing and becoming. You are the flow of energy. You are the symbol. In visualization, as with every healing tool you will learn in Chios, the power ultimately comes from the connection to pure consciousness that lies within you.

In Chios, you will learn techniques that will often require you to visualize a desired flow or pattern of energy, a symbol, or even both at the same time. Every technique that you will learn and use to heal the various defects that you will encounter in the energy field of your patients will require you to use your visualization ability in some way. Every time you will need to use visualization in this correct manner, during Chios Levels II and III, we will specify that you "visualize, sense and become" whatever is required, so you become a pure channel for healing power, in whatever form you need it, to heal.

You began to use your visualization ability in Chios Level I when you learned to call in the energy at the beginning of treatment—you began to see, in your mind's eye, the energy flowing into you, conducting through you, and then into your patient. Now you will employ your power of visualization to add the visualization of two Chios symbols—the Circle and the Trine—to more powerfully bring in and raise the vibrational rate of the energy so that you can channel a greater quantity and quality of energy into your patient. It is your natural ability to call in the energy and refine it, in this way. Your visualization of the energy coming into you, and the visualization of the symbols, merely activates this ability.

If you have begun to learn the practice of Chios Meditation, you will have a good understanding of the process of visualization already, and your experience of it through your meditation practice will be of great benefit to you in your use of these symbols and the various other healing techniques in this level. If you have not yet studied Chios Meditation, that's fine. The following exercise will give you some practice in this correct method of visualization, by visualizing the Chios symbols:

Sit comfortably with your eyes closed, and seek a calmness, a quietness in your mind. Now imagine, in your mind, the Circle. Now, do not merely think about, or pretend to see the Circle, but begin to feel its circular shape with your mind. Ask yourself, how does it feel to be that shape? Feel that you are the Circle, and should other feelings or thoughts come up, simply drop them—allow them to become unimportant as you just return your focus of awareness to sensing only the circular shape of the Circle alone.

Seek to merge with the Circle, feel your entire being sensing, moving into and becoming one with the Circle. If you find yourself thinking about the Circle, stop thinking and just be it. If you find yourself pretending to see the Circle, release the visual portion of your awareness of it—the portion of your awareness that "sees" it as if you were using your eyes—and just become it. Do not think about or pretend to see the Circle. Be the Circle. Sense it effortlessly.

Continue sensing yourself as the Circle for a moment, then end the exercise by stopping your sensing of the Circle and resting for a moment, with your eyes closed.

Repeat this exercise with the other two Chios symbols to gain a sense of them, also. The Trine is sensed in its outline shape, but the Star is sensed more as a solid (filled in) object, with its points.

Calling in the Energy Using Visualization of Symbols:

You are now ready to call in the energy using the Circle and the Trine. In visualizing the energy begin to flow into you, and in visualizing these symbols in order to increase and refine its flow, be sure to remember that your visualizations must be done effortlessly, and with a release to the energy. To call in the energy using visualization of these symbols, follow this procedure:

Stand by yourself for a moment, eyes closed, and visualize the energy beginning to flow into you. Really see and feel it coming into you from all around, coursing through your body, through your shoulders and arms and down to your hands. Feel it begin to collect in your hands. Visualize this energy flowing into you—not by thinking or pretending to see—but now by effortlessly sensing and becoming this energy flow, in your mind's eye.

Now, visualize, sense and become the Circle. Sense yourself as the Circle, and then feel the Circle as being composed of a white light, brought to a dazzling, flaring brightness of light, and held in the mind for about 10 seconds, and then dimmed. Bring the Circle to brightness in this way for two additional times, for a total of three times, and then dimmed.

Visualize, sense and become the Trine. Sense yourself as the Trine, and then feel the Trine brought to a dazzling, flaring brightness, held in the mind for about 10 seconds, and then dimmed. Bring the Trine to brightness in this way for two additional times, for a total of three times, then dimmed.

Now visualize, sense and become the Circle again, brought to a final, single, quieting brightness, unlike a flare, a brightness that is held in your mind for about 10 seconds, and then swells and fills out into you, a warm light suffusing into your entire body.

You will sense the greater energy as a stimulating feeling in your body and hands. The harnessing of the energy provides a sensation in the body similar to what you experience when feeling strong emotions—you should feel a definite tingling and some degree of heat, in your hands, now that you've learned to call in greater amounts of the energy and raise its vibrational rate. Note that the Star is never used at the beginning of treatment when calling in the energy.

Healing Colors

It has been known for eons of time that color plays a major role in setting up a particular mood or state of mind. Color does affect one's feelings, moods, and emotions.

Colors are certain wavelengths of electromagnetic energy seen through our eyes. The color we see is the part of the visible spectrum that is reflected back by a certain object.

We know that when all colors join the result is white light. Therefore working with White Light brings about completeness, oneness, union of all complementary parts.

How Colors Affect Us

Color is one of the languages of the soul, just look at inspired or meditative paintings.

They influence our mood and emotions.

They have their impact on our sense of well-being or uneasiness.

Using and avoiding certain colors is a way of self-expression; it sheds light on our personality.

Colors affect our way of perception (light colors make a space look big, a high ceiling looks less high when painted in a dark color, etc.)

Colors have a symbolic meaning which is immediately recognized by our subconsciousness. It must be said that not all colors mean the same to all persons and all cultures.

They influence the flow and amount of energy in our bodies.

Colors tell something about biological attraction and sexual availability.

Before examining color and its healing implications, we must address a very important concept: that of cause and effect. True healing comes about when the cause of the condition or illness is addressed and transformed. If healing goes no further than a mere relief or masking of the symptoms, then, eventually, that which brought about the need for healing, in the first place, will resurface and manifest itself within the body in one form or another.

Body is an outward expression of that which is taking place within the mind, the soul (subconscious), and the spirit (superconscious) of the individual. Thus, any healing technique which deals only with the physical body and the energy field of the individual tends to accomplish one thing: it jump starts the individual, so to speak, and gives him or her an added boost of energy. That energy boost then allows that person's own internal healing mechanism to become mobilized into greater activity.

Keeping this in mind, let us look at how color can help jump-start the tired or diseased body. Color healing, known as Chromotherapy, can be implemented in a number of ways. The ancients built great halls of color healing, where individuals entered and were bathed in light that was filtered through various colored glass panels or windows.

Energy (spiritual) healers often supplement their healing work with color healing. As they lay their hands on the patient, they mentally direct specific color rays into the patient's aura and body. Oftentimes, the color used is inspired by the superconscious.

In healing colors act as balancers: we administer the color(s) someone needs more of, or we give the opposite of the color someone has too much of.

A preference for certain colors can point at two things:

self-expression (you choose the colors which match your personality; for instance green for a lover of harmony and nature)

completion (you choose the colors you need more of; for instance an active, passionate person chooses blue colors to cool down his nature).

Red

Healing properties: Brings warmth, energy and stimulation, therefore, good for energy, fatigue, colds, chilly and passive people. Red energizes heart and blood circulation, it builds up the blood and heightens a low blood pressure. Energizes all organs and the senses hearing, smell, taste, vision, and touch. Increases sexual desire and activity. Stimulates ovulation and menstruation. Never treat cancer with red, because this color will stimulate cell growth! Red links with and stimulates the root chakra, at the base of the spine, causing the adrenal glands to release adrenalin. This results in greater strength. Red causes hemoglobin to multiply, thus increasing energy and raising body temperature. It is excellent for anemia and blood-related conditions. It loosens, opens up clogs, releases stiffness and constrictions. It is excellent for areas that have become stiffened or constricted.

Esoteric/magickal: Deities of love, passion, sexuality and war (to stimulate a healthy portion of assertiveness). Great energy, courage, will-power, determination, speed, assertiveness, aggression, masculinity, independence, physical strength, sports, competition, conflicts, health, sexual attraction and potency, love and passion, fertility.

Preference for red: Red is associated with passionate love, sex, great energy, impulse, action and stimulation, assertiveness and aggression, courage, strength and power, adventure, danger, warnings, revolt, and revolution. Temperamental and ambitious people with a need for personal freedom.

Aversion to red: A person who has an aversion to red may be over-active, too impulsive, hot-tempered, aggressive and egocentric, or have difficulties with people with such characteristics. It can also symbolize deeply hidden fears and rejection of his own assertiveness.

Orange

Healing properties: Orange is warm, cheering, non-constricting. Orange has a freeing action upon the body and mind, relieving repressions. Orange shows new possibilities and other options in life. Stimulates creative thinking and enthusiasm, and helps assimilate new ideas.It is also helpful in dealing with excess sexual expression. Orange stimulates the lungs, the respiration, and the digestion. Increases the activity of the thyroid. Reliefs muscle cramps and spasms. Increases the amount of mother milk. Finally, orange links very strongly with the sacral chakra.

Esoteric/magickal: Deities of good luck and fortune. Attraction, charm, kindness, encouragement, stimulation, optimism, success, abundance, prosperity, feast and celebration, energy, achieving business goals, investments, success in legal matters.

Preference for orange: Orange represents the warmth of the fire. It brings even more energy than yellow, celebration and great abundance, comfort, enjoyment of the senses. Warm, sociable, dynamic and independent people who dedicate themselves to whatever they do.

Aversion to orange: A person who has an aversion to orange may have suppressed sexual feelings or other difficulties with sensual enjoyment of life. The attitude can also be over-sensual, indulgent, or too materialistic.

Yellow

Healing properties: Yellow helps strengthen the nerves and the mind. It helps awaken mental inspiration and stimulates higher mentality. Thus, it is an excellent color for nervous or nerve-related conditions or ailments. It also energizes the muscles. Dark yellow soothes pains in the nerves (shooting pains) Yellow can be used for conditions of the stomach, liver, and intestines. Speeds up the digestion, assimilation, and the stool. It helps the pores of the skin and aids scarred tissue in healing itself. Yellow links with and stimulates the solar plexus, or psychic center. It can be used for psychic burnout or other psychic-related conditions or ailments. Activates and cheers up depressed and melancholic people. Gives lust for life.

Esoteric/magical: Elemental air. Deities for trade, travel, knowledge and magick. Life-force, vitality, change, progress, contact, communication, trade, commerce, to persuade with confidence, joy, cheerfulness, learning, knowledge, mental clarity, concentration, memorizing, tests, speaking and writing, traveling, affirmation, visualization.

Preference for yellow: The color of the sun, life-force, vividity, vitality and energy. The color of cheerfulness, curiosity, alternation, flexibility, progress, amusement, contact through traveling and communication, learning and practical knowledge. A feeling for writing and speaking.

Aversion to yellow: A person who has aversion to yellow may be emotionally disappointed and bitter.May have tendency to rationalize feelings, or to avoid the depth of life by often changing relationships, many superficial relationships and/or constant changing activities.

Green

Healing properties: Green is the color of Nature and the earth. It is balance and harmony in essence and possesses a soothing influence upon both mind and body. It is neither relaxing nor astringent in its impact.Green can be used for just about any condition in need of healing. Green rings psychological and emotional harmony and balance. Green links with and stimulates the heart chakra.Green effects blood pressure and all conditions of the heart. It has both an energizing effect and a moderating or soothing effect. It cures hormonal imbalances. Stimulates growth hormone and rejuvenation. Cleans and purifies from germs, bacteria, and rotting material. Harmonizes the digestion, stomach, liver, gall. Has a healing effect on kidneys. Increases immunity. Builds up muscles, bones and tissues. Stimulates inner peace. Strengthens the nervous system.

Esoteric/magickal: Elemental earth (dark green) and elemental water (blue-green). Nature, fertility, growth, rejuvenation, recovering, healing, harvest and abundance, prosperity, harmony, balance, peace, hope, mother earth, home, herbal magick, plants and animals, counteract greed and jealousy.

Preference for green: Green brings peace, rest, hope, comfort and nurturing, calmness and harmony. Interest in nature, plants, fellowmen, children and animals, health and healing, natural and plain life. Longing for a safe home and family-life. A dislike of conflicts.

Aversion to green: A person who has an aversion to green may be more interested in independence and self-development than in a warm family life. May prefer to keep a certain distance in (sexual) relationships.

Blue

Healing properties: Blue is cooling, electric, astringent. Dr. Edwin Babbitt, in his classic, "The Principles of Light and Color," states that "The Blue Ray is one of the greatest antiseptics in the world." Cools down inflammations (don't forget rheumatic inflammations), fever, high blood pressure, stops bleedings, reliefs the bursting headaches, calms strong emotions like anger, aggression or hysteria. Brings tranquility. Anti-itching. Anti-irritation (for instance redness of the skin), anti-stress. Soothes suffering.Blue can be used for any type of ailments associated with speech, communication, or the throat. Excellent for laryngitis or inflammation of the larynx.Blue links with and stimulates the throat chakra. The throat chakra is often referenced as the "power center" and "the greatest center in the body" because it is the primary center of expression and communication, through speech.

Esoteric/magickal: Elemental water and elemental air. Deities of the sea, truth and wisdom. Peace and tranquility, calmness, truth, wisdom, justice, counsel, guidance, understanding, patience, loyalty and honor, sincerity, devotion, healing, femininity, prophetic dreams, protection during sleep, astral projection.

Preference for blue: Cool and soothing, dreamy and magical. Peace and rest. For people who keep a certain distance, but give calm and practical help; they are faithful and loyal, have a sense for order, logic and rational thinking. Flying in day-dreaming, ideals or nostalgia when felt misunderstood. Dark blue is more severe and can be melancholic. Blue is also the color of truth.

Aversion to blue: A person who has an aversion to blue, may be very disciplined, strong career worker, with an aversion of commentary or restriction. He may have charted out a clear direction for his life and wants to follow that lacelike.

Indigo

Healing properties: Indigo is a great purifier of the bloodstream and also benefits mental problems. It is a freeing and purifying agent. Indigo combines the deep blue of devotion with a trace of stabilizing and objective red. Indigo is cool, electric, and astringent. Indigo links with and stimulates the brow chakra (third eye) and controls the pineal gland. It governs both physical and spiritual perception.It can be of great assistance in dealing with ailments of the eyes and ears.

Violet / Purple

Healing properties: These are colors of transformation.They heal melancholy, hysteria, delusions and alcohol addiction and bring spiritual insights and renewal. These colors slow down an over-active heart; stimulate the spleen and the white blood cells (immunity). Bring sleep. Soothe mental and emotional stress. Decrease sexual activity. Decrease sensitivity to pain. They help in detoxification. Leonardo da Vinci proclaimed that you can increase the power of meditation ten-fold by meditating under the gentle rays of Violet, as found in Church windows.

Esoteric/magickal: Elemental spirit. Divination and prophecy. Angels. Psychic abilities, divination, counter-acting negativity/black magick, reversing curses, psychic healing, psychic power, inspiration, meditation, spirituality, spiritual power, astral projection, third eye, compassion, counteracting depression.

Preference for violet/purple: Colors for meditation, contemplation, mysticism, spirituality and religion power. A longing to ascend and dissolve polarities (purple consists of the active red and passive blue), to improve the world. Reservation, mystery and dignity. Soft, sensitive people with often paranormal abilities.

Aversion to violet / purple:A person who has an aversion for violet / purple may have very serious attitude towards life, and may find it difficult to give dreams, fantasies, vague fears or memories a place in it. May have tendency to rejection everything he regards as unnatural or unrealistic.

White

Healing properties: White is the perfect color; for it is all colors, in perfect balance and harmony. It is the color of the awakened Spirit; the light of perfection; the light of the Cosmic Consciousness, the Divine Light. Just about everyone has heard of surrounding people with the "White Light of Healing and Protection." White light raises the vibration of one's consciousness and the body, bringing harmony in all aspects of one's life. Directing white into to a part of the body that needs healing is one of the fastest ways to bring about healing.

Esoteric/magickal: Purification and cleaning on all levels, contact with higher self and spiritual helpers, (inner) peace, aura-healing, truth-seeking, consecration, spiritual enlightenment, protection against negativity by raising your vibration, breaking curses, exorcism, meditation, divination, inspiration, clairvoyance, invoking spirits White can be a replacement for any other color your magick requires.

Preference for white: White points at innocence, purity, virginity, cleanliness, freshness, simplicity, nothingness, oneness and completion, truth. In certain cultures white is the color of death and mourning.

Aversion to white: A person who has an aversion to white color is foremost or solely interested in 'realistic' and tangible things, not in illusions or things that are beyond seeing or understanding. Knows and accepts the own imperfection and does not wish to achieve perfection.

Magenta

Healing properties: Strengthens contact with your life purpose. Stimulates adrenaline and heart activity.

Esoteric/magickal: Scorpio-energy. Magnetism, to attract or speed up things, extra power, when immediate action and great spiritual power are needed, life purpose, life path.

Preference for magenta: Much energy and activity focused on achieving power and self-realization. Strong but controlled passions and emotions. Daring, ready to fight, willing to give everything for a goal. Can drive things too far and have fixed ideas.

Aversion to magenta: A person who has an aversion to magenta may feel overwhelmed by people with strong convictions or heavy emotions like jealousy; also may have difficulties with exposing deep emotions.

Pink

Healing properties: Heals grief and sadness. Restores youthfulness. Brings you in contact with your feelings.

Esoteric/magickal: Softness and tenderness, romance, caring, nurturing, for children, youth, peace, friendship, femininity, emotional love, emotional healing.

Preference for pink: Regarded as a feminine color. Pink symbolizes softness, sweetness, innocence, youthfulness and tenderness. Soft and kind people.

Aversion to pink: A person who has an aversion to pink may have a challenge with expressing soft, tender, female side.

Turquoise

Healing properties: Increases intuition and sensitivity. Works disinfecting and antiseptic. Tones the general system. Builds the skin. Relaxes sensations of stress.

Esoteric/magickal: Alterations, intellectual and intuitive insights, technique, inventions, originality, renewal, brotherhood, humanism.

Preference for turquoise: Just like the wide turquoise sea you don't want to feel restricted and you don't immediately bring to the surface what goes on in you; emotions can remain hidden. A color for non-triviality, renewal, innovation and inventions, progressive technics, alternative ways of living together, humanity.

Aversion to turquoise: A person who has an aversion to turquoise may be looking for solidity and security in society, especially in marriage. Also, may be reluctant to think originally or to walk new paths.

Brown

Esoteric/magickal: Elemental earth. The planet-spirit Saturn. Stability, grounding, conservation, protection of household, family and pets, healing animals, finding lost objects, material constructions (buildings etc.), material increase, to make relationships solid, to increase decisiveness and concentration, attracting help in financial crisis.

Preference for brown: An earthly color for practical people with a preference for natural, tribal and primitive things, solidity and simplicity. Brown can be warm and cozy but also depressing. Family-life persons, stable people, loyal friends.

Aversion to brown: A person who has an aversion to brown may feel an aversion against normal, boring, trivial life; may not feel connected with his roots (homeland, family, etc); may experience instability in health and attitude.

Grey

Esoteric/magickal: Neutralizing negative influences, erasing or canceling situations, causing stalemates

Preference for grey: Very neutral and indifferent, non-expressive. It can be deliberate, but also lifeless, fixed, depressed and apathic. Reserved, cool people; unwilling to expose themselves or to have obligations. Grey can be refined and tactful.

Aversion to grey: A person who has an aversion to grey may prefer to be straight to the point, no time for political and tactical attitudes. Demands clarity, a knowing where one stands.

Black

Esoteric/magickal: Elemental earth. Deities of the underworld. Repel/banish evil and negativity, protection, banishing, binding, breaking free from bad habits/addictions, deep meditation, opens up deep unconscious levels.

Preference for black: Symbolizes seriousness, darkness, depression, death, mourning, mystery, secrecy, occultism, a standing apart from or revolting against triviality, provocation, underground, underworld, things that have to remain hidden, nothingness as the great source of all creation, the need to keep your energy with you. Black is a color for extremes, everything and nothing. People who foremost trust themselves.

Aversion to black: A person who has an aversion to black may have fear for the unknown, or fear for the abuse of power. Desires to become free from all kinds of dependency, blockages, hindrances; to throw off shackles.

Gold

Esoteric/magickal: Absolute authority, (self)confidence, creativity, perfection, solar energies, male energy, financial riches, investments, luxury, winning, worldly power, magickal power, overcoming bad habits/addictions.

Silver

Esoteric/magickal: Female energy, cycles, rebirth, reincarnation, healing of hormonal imbalances, emotional stability, remove or neutralize negativity, intuition, dreams, psychic abilities and psychic workings.

Copper/Bronze

Esoteric/magickal: Love and passion, for positive relationships in love, friendship and business, career promotions, negotiations.

The point to remember concerning color therapy -is that complete healing generally comes about through some type of internal transformation. Heal the mind and the body will, surely, follow suit.
