Obvious Child (2014) Gillian Robespierre
So I watched this movie a while back but I always find myself thinking about it. This is a really good movie and I could honestly rewatch it like once a week. It’s a little cringe throughout the movie, because she’s a comedian and isn’t funny, but other than that it’s a solid movie. I love the character of Max and how he understands what needs to be done. I also love watching them dance to “The Obvious Child”. I wish I could do that with someone and then they still like me afterwards because they were in their drawers dancing.

The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) Anthony Minghella
While I was watching this movie I was thrown through SOO many loopholes. Every time I thought everything was okay something new happened. I don’t understand how he kept getting away with it. I would have just put him in custody until everyone else was found. And I was so happen when he finally found someone at the end and he killed him. I was so upset. So upset. So upset. I wish that it would have ended differently but it’s whatever I guess. Poor Tom. I thought he and Marge were gonna get together but nope. And Dickie not even being a little bit gay hurt my feelings for Tom. I think he was really in love. But overall, the cinematography was AMAZING. What a film.

The To Do List (2013) Maggie Carey
OMG, is this is one of my favorite movies of all time. Not just because Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite comedians but it’s just a great movie. I feel like people of all ages (over 13 maybe) could enjoy this movie. I loved her and cam cam and them going to the same school was amazing. I also loved that he gave her her first orgasm I was like yes cam cam. I loved how cold Brandy was too. I can quote this whole movie which is crazy. But it’s just such a good movie. I think I like it so much because Brandy reminds me of myself. I feel like we’re both well performing academically, somewhat cold, and we both feel like things have to be done and mastered. I often find myself in the same situation as Brandy too when it comes to messing around without adding in feelings. It can be hard when you’re friends but when you’re not. It’s as easy as leaving dusty.
I usually don’t do this but I love this movie so much some of my favorite quotes are:
“I suck dick at eating pussy”
“What Janet, your kids never seen tits before?”
“NEVER THE BACK DOOR”
“He put his finger up my ass”
“She’ll give you a blow job if you buy her pineapple juice”
“Sex with rusty water”
Just watch the movie.

Moonlight (2016) Barry Jenkins
So I finally watched Moonlight and it’s one of my new favorite movies. I cried so hard at the end of it that even when it was off, I STILL cried for an hour every time I’d think about it. Idk what got me more. His mom, Juan, or Kevin. And when he finally hit back I was so upset that he got in trouble for it. Like that pissed me off because the people at school knew what was going on. Ohhh and when Kevin started punching him outside because the boy was like do it and he did it. I cried so hard. And I know why he did it but still. The ending made me so sad when he became someone he wasn’t because he didn’t know how to be who he actually was and not be afraid. I cried so hard. And the ending when he was with Kevin omg. I cried!!!!! “So why you here Chiron?” Everyone needs to watch Moonlight.

Master of None (2015-2017?) Netflix
So... Master of None is my favorite TV show in the whole wide world. Like it’s just go good. Season 2 is the best. Like don’t get me wrong, season 1 was good and you can tell they put a lot of work into it. But, season 2 is just so much better and Rachel is gone so 🤟🏽. But I think they canceled it because of the sexual misconduct allegations on Aziz. I hope they didn’t but if they did I understand. I really think everyone should watch it though. It’s truly beautiful.

Princess Cyd (2017) Stephen Cone
So just finally finished this movie and I liked it a lot. Cyd is very funny to me but also is like the perfect embodiment of a teenager. I liked how blunt she was at times but I also got very scared for her when she would ask questions and say things without thinking twice. But Cyd was great. I think one of my favorite scenes is the end when Miranda tells Cyd she loves her. I almost cried my little heart out. And I also thought it was funny how loud she was moaning when they came back from the beach. I was scared Miranda was going to be pissed. But anyway. Great movie.

Juno (2007) Jason Reitman
Juno is one of my favorite movies of all time. I love this film so much. I had this weird obsession with Michael Cera like anything with him in it I’ll watch. But Juno is just amazing. I think it’s so cute when the hold each other at the end. He didn’t want to be with the other girl because her house always smelled like soup and I thought that was so funny. Jason Bateman is another one of my all time favorites and I loved him in Juno also but I thought that they could work it out but I guess not. Jennifer Garner made me upset in the movie from being so uptight but later in the movie I loved her a lot.

Palo Alto (2013) Gia Coppola
So I first watched this movie last night/this morning and I really liked it. I really thought that almost all of the guys were like cute as hell for one. And I feel like everyone in this movie had so much more to offer than what they were. Like Fred could have been cool if he would have calmed down. And then at the end when he was all like “I was just joking” like no everything’s not a joke. And he was already trying to do something crazy. Like he could never just chill. Mr. B I thought was cool until the end of the movie and I wanted him and April to be together. But I think my favorite part may be when April was on her bed doing random teenage things. Twas a great movie overall. A solid 7/10.

Rebel Without a Cause (1955) Nicholas Ray
So I finally watched this movie around a week ago during exams and omg. It’s now one of my favorites. It’s very cringy but it’s so good. I know a lot of girls have the BIGGEST crushes on James Dean and yeah he’s cute but Sal Mineo (Plato) was the real cute boy on screen. Like his skin is smooth in the movie, his hair is in place, and with the jewelry on his wrists, ugh I died. But anyway, I really liked the movie and I feel like no matter what generation watches it, people will be able to relate to feeling lonely and feeling like you always have a reputation to uphold. The end made me cry though. Twas very sad 🤎

American Beauty (1999) Sam Mendes
I would always see this movies quotes like EVERYWHERE. So... I finally watched this movie like a few years ago and I definitely got some mad Lolita vibes from the movie. But, don’t wanna spoil it, but when she said what she said to Lester at the end I was like 😑 you were just all talk the whole time man. What the heck. But throughout the movie I began to feel for Lester you know. I was like aww poor guy and at the end I was kind of disappointed but not really. Still surprised this won multiple Oscar.

Call Me By Your Name (2017) Luca Guadagnino
This is one of my favorite movies of all time and definitely one of my top 10 for the decade. The shots in this movie were just so beautiful and that scene of daddy Chalamet gliding across the floor was just beautiful. Love him so much. Love my man. 🖤

Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist (2008) Peter Sollett.
I love this movie more than I should honestly. Like imagine. You’re chilling with your boo and out all night and boom. You come home late asf and your parents say nothing. Can’t relate.
