Before Bianca died, Nico was scared of the dark. Thalia is scared of heights and Percy is scared of drowning. The way Rick made them all fear a part of themselves was such a cool concept that had the potential to go so much further and it was just overshadowed and a missed opportunity for better character development.

Annabeth Chase seasonal depression hc:

-January—March is a tough time for her

-It started in December as a little kid when she’d go to school and hear everyone’s family plans for Christmas which she was never included in

-Despite her being a striving student and child of Athena, she tends to fall behind on school work. She wants to get good grades and succeed but lacks motivation

-She is prone to getting sick during this time. She tries to hide it due to the fact she doesn’t want to bother anyone, but Sally Jackson almost always takes her in and cares for her

-she gets a number of anxiety attacks from procrastination of work

-She sleeps a lot, almost always coming back to her dorm after class and accidentally sleeping until the sun has set

-Her tan absolutely disappears from the face of the earth and she becomes very pale

-She’s known to be very irritable are short tempered with others

-By the time spring and early summer come around, she’s ready to be back at camp. Only then does she start to feel more like herself

-will and Nico are gonna find Annabeth’s old bag with her dagger and laptop in it and bring it back to her

-Damasen and Bob will be brought out of Tartarus, obviously

-solangelo kiss????

-Percy and Annabeth will give them some farewell talk/give them advice

-Percy is gonna cry when Bob and Damasen are returned but not from relief, from guilt

-Nico is either gonna have some further inner rage for Percy and Annabeth leaving them there or will have a newfound level of respect for them, no in between

-Nico will be able to see things in Tartarus that Will can’t because he’s a son of hades

-some interaction with a minor god

-feel like the seven will make some cameo at the end (minus Jason he ded)

-Nico and Will are gonna be highly recognized by Apollo after what his mortal time did to him

If PJO was YA, there would have been mass amounts of drugs passed around that camp from all those kids with PTSD trying to cope

If HOO was YA, there would have been many unspeakable actions that happen between teenage couples when left alone and a lot more cursing when monsters attack.

If TOA was YA, the true meaning behind the plot would have shown more and Apollo’s former actions and flaws would have been highlighted and resolved.

In summary, the Riordanverse as a whole would be better written as YA

Jason is such a white american dad. You bet he is holding the fourth of july cookout while standing at the grill the entire time shirtless with a miller light in hand and asking everyone how they want their burger cooked just to end up cooking them all the same. Meanwhile Leo is drunk in the corner after winning too many rounds of cornhole and chugging a pack of Corona. Percy is passed out on the couch from eating enough hot dogs to sedate an adult gorilla. And Frank is not there.

Uncommon I think the seven would play

Percy: Water Polo. Swimming yeah but I feel like water polo would be something he’d be good at because he has hand eye coordination too and is strong enough to borderline wrestle people in the water.

Annabeth: Fencing. Need I explain, but it’s such an Annabeth sport. Light on her feet plus her previous experience with swords, it’s fencing. the end.

Hazel: Equestrian. This is again obvious but can’t you see her with her horse now? It’s perfect. Plus it’s preppy and Hazel gives off such preppy vibes.

Frank: RUGBY. Will say it till I die but Frank is perfect for rugby. Not quite football (too American, he’s Canadian) and he has the build for it.

Leo: Rowing, specifically the Coxon (person at front of boat who yells to keep pace). Coxons are usually smaller people and have to have a loud voice. THAT IS LEO!!! I can see him being like “ROW. ROW. ROW. ROW FASTER—”

Piper: Not an uncommon sport but SOFTBALL. She would have the glitter eyeblack with the big hair bows then would get out there, dive at any chance she got to get dirty, and fight the umpires. It’s such a Piper thing I can’t express it enough

Jason: Cricket. He gives off old money vibes and so does cricket. He doesn’t fully seem like a baseball boy to me so cricket it is for Jason

Why is the pregnancy trope considered the all time happy ending for female characters? It makes sense in some cases: Feyre and Rhys who decided they wanted a baby together, for example. But Katniss and Peeta? Where did that come from? There honestly needs to be an end to it. It’s not an ideal end for many and is just confusing kids.
