now, im not nearly as heated as i was when i first read this, but i was banned before i had the opportunity to respond. I was going to say something about how parents feelings dont matter, because when you decide to raise a child, you sign up for the possibility  of having a disabled child. NO ONE is entitled to a kid. it is a responsibility not a right. If you cannot handle having a disabled child then you should not have children period the end. It is your job as a parent to do everything in your power to set your child up for success and give them the best possible life. it is your job to love them without judgment and without condition. if you feel as though raising a disabled child is too much for you to handle then do not have kids. ever.  

as for finding common ground, well. I am not in the business of finding common ground with people who excuse bigotry and allow it to fester and flourish. if you are willing to find common ground with bigots then you are a danger to marginalized people. 

yes rhia i agree, bigots and their enablers shouldnt feel safe in fandom spaces.

and what kind of people do you want in your server exactly? people that will back you no matter what you say? The only thing I said was calling out ableism, if that is driving away the people you want then who is it that you want? and for the sake of clarity, here is the conversation rhia is refering to where i am apparently “driving away” the people she wants in her server by calling out ableism.

hello. im not big on here in the slightest but I had to do something. I never do anything like this but this has effected not only me, but my friends.

there is a discord buddie (buddie is a ship in the fox show 911) server called the Buckley-Diaz family, which is ran by Rhia (or @leandra-winchester). she has fostered an unsafe and uncomfortable environment.

many people have been leaving the server already (adding on to all of my friends who she has now kicked), and I have only remained in order to make sure I could get all of the evidence needed for this post.

the main thing that caught our attention to this was her blatant ableism. if you are unaware of 911 or buddie, thats fine, ill give context. one of the main characters has a deceased wife who he was separated from (she left them). they have a disabled son (he has CP). me and other disabled people mentioned in the server that we felt like she was ableist, and that one of the reasons she left was due to her unconscious ableism. Rhia, vehemently disagreed. in this discussion, she not only talked over and tried to speak for multiple disabled people that were calling her out, also gaslit and manipulated said disabled people into believing that there was no ableism as she was the one who truly knew what was ableism or not despite never experiencing it irl, mansplained the very definition of ableism to said disabled people as if we hadn't experienced it in real life, and tried to equate our lived experiences as disabled people to her having to manage her cats medical issues. yes, she compared disabled people to pets. it ended abruptly because she banned my friend.

later she made a post in another channel basically exiling the 'bashing' of characters to a specific channel, so we would be out of sight and out of mind. very much directed at a certain conversation despite her saying that it wasn't.

me and my friend decided to try and bait her by posting our autistic headcanons of two of the main characters (we're both autistic), to see if she would negatively react. instead, she ignored it. then later complained to me that she thought it was bait. to which I said, 'not if you're not ableist'. she did not respond. ill show the screenshots later.

she created a channel specifically for older people where they talked shit about the younger generation and how we were all too soft and how cancel culture and minding triggers and content warnings were ruining the fandom experience.

we created a new account to try and get into that channel because she'd kicked our other friend out of the server for being in it, which resulted in her interrogating me in my dms (literally asking me what my disability is!!!) and complaining that other people were reacting negatively to her actions.

one of my friends decided (at the risk of being blocked like our other friend had already been) to write in one channel about how Rhia and her actions and attitude have made this server intolerable. Rhia, of course, was horriblely condencending, rude, and dismissive of her own faults. she cannot seem to realize that she is in fact wrong, despite her age.

all my friends were then mass banned or left in solidarity. I stayed for the evidence.

as she still thought I was on her side, she then tried to garner sympathy from me in more dms where I lied my ass off to keep my cover.

what really brings this all together is when my friends looked through her tumblr and found that not only is she an ableist, but she is a TERF, and a racist.

here are some extra screenshots of her just being the worst. all of the people leaving the server (plus her mass banning people). like removing the star from a message that said 'Trans Buck' so that it got removed from the starred messages (like pinned messages. also here's her complaining that safe spaces for certain groups of people aren't meant for people other than those groups and it's not on them that you don't feel comfortable within a space that isn't meant for you. also her just being an asshole and blaming my friends for creating a poor environment when it was her own doing.

I don't know about any of you, but I don't want to interact with someone like her, and I don't like having her at the center of a fandom, tarnishing it for me and everyone else. she shouldn't have the platform that she has. she is an ableist, a TERF, a racist, and probably many other things in that same vein.

please don't send hate to any of my friends, and this will be the last time I'll talk about any of this because I do not like drama, but I can't let someone like this hurt my friends.
