PROMPT SUBMISSIONS EXTENDED!

In order to help Faith in the Future reach Silver certification in the UK, we’re offering max 5k ficlets based on requests in exchange for proof of purchase (digital or physical). The requesting period is now open until Sunday, December 4th 2 pm EST.

RULES:

Purchase must be made from a UK shop or using a UK address for digital purchases. Examples of UK addresses can be found on our FAQ page.

Proof or purchase must be submitted with prompt request or sent directly to @falsegoodnight or me as soon as possible.

Proof of purchase must be dated. We are only accepting purchases from today onwards in order to encourage the most possible sales for FITF. Most receipts and order confirmations include a date of purchase but timestamps on screenshots will also be accepted if deemed legitimate by me and Ris.

You can request up to three authors for your ficlet but it is NOT GUARANTEED. Some writers are only able to write a couple of ficlets and many writers have certain tropes and genres that they are not comfortable writing, therefore they will choose which requests they are able and willing to write. The full list of our writers is on our FAQ page.

All ficlets will be a maximum of 5000 words.

All pairings including Louis are welcome. We have writers willing to write any pairing, including Louis x Bandmates (past and present), Louis x Male celebrities, and Louis x OMC.

No requests including non-con, incest, or underage sexual content will be accepted.

Ficlets can be sent directly to you but writers also have the option to post their drabble on any site of their choice (AO3, Tumblr, Twitter, etc.)

Would love to read a fiction based on Jim Croce song from the 70s called “Operator” which is about a man calling the operator to help him find the number to his girlfriend/wife and his old, best ex-friend Ray who she took off with to tell them he was okay and has overcome their betrayal (which he hasn’t, he’s lying to himself)The second part of the song he is in tears thinking about ‘a love he thought would save him’ and because his eyes are filled with tears he can’t read the number the operator gave him, eventually he gives up by saying there’s no one there he wanted to talk to anyway and thanks the operator.

ok: reality tv au where louis + his fam are reality tv stars (like kardashians or real housewives or smth). so they have a show that’s just about their lives and drama etc. the show’s ratings have been down recently. louis’ never dated anyone, so when he’s seen in a compromising position w harry at some party or something, the media blows the whole thing up thinking that theyre dating and the show’s producers are like congrats <3 ur dating now <3 obviously harry and louis hate each other (H: ur trashy and shallow) (L: ur pretentious and im straight anyway)

In the Post

Life works in rhythms.

The sun brings a new day drifting through the window and finds this baker already elbows deep in flour, rolling out the days dough. The shop opens with a jingle of the bell and a waft of sweet wild flowers from the fields down the lane. Every customer is greeted with joy and leaves with a handcrafted treat or staple wrapped neatly in their baskets under the high noon sun. Yet it’s not until the lock clicks in the bakery door that a flush of warmth comes over him in anticipation for the last crescendo beat of the day.

From the stoop he can spot the postman wandering slowly down the village lane, his load lighter with every doorstep he visits until he stands before the baker with a single letter in hand.

“Kept guard of it all day, I promise you.” The postman offers the letter with gentle hands. Their fingers meet in the briefest touch.

“I’d hope so,” the baker murmurs with crisp parchment in hand. “It is my heart you carry, after all.”

With a small smile and a tip of his hat, the postman parts to return from where he came. The baker watches him, kissed by the glow of the setting sun. It’s the last he’ll see of his heart until the lock clicks shut the following day.

Under moon and stars he lays that night, as with every night, and dreams of whispered warmth still tingling his fingertips.
