Lia hated the late lonely nights most of all, having a large condo was creepy when there was no one else there. She could only be on stream for so long and then it was too quiet at home. For a house that had ten different people living in it, most of the time they weren’t there. Most of the time she was there by herself. So, LIa had made it a habit to come by at the late-night practices as the comeback drew near.
Hongjoong slid down the wall to sit next to her and gently took her hand in his. On the other side of her, Yeosang was getting comfortable as well. In most practices, they danced until their legs felt like a liquid under them while other nights the brain cell simply leaves the room. Tonight the brain cell must have been with some other kpop group because Yunho was convinced that he was going to perfect a handstand into a split and get the choreographer to let him add it to the dance. San and Wooyoung were cheering him on while Mingi was trying to get it on video. The other four were spread out around the room trying to find the will to keep practicing.
“You and baby need to eat,” Hongjoong was firm with the fact that she should eat three meals a day if he couldn’t convince her to eat four.
“Have you all eaten since lunch? It’s nearly nine?” Hongjoong shook his head confirming what she already knew, no they hadn’t eaten yet.
“Okay then, i’ll eat if we all eat. But no fried chicken or pizza tonight, please,” with Yeosang’s love for chicken and the way that they turned to pizza when they didn’t have the energy to think of what to eat, she had eaten enough of that for a lifetime.
“Should someone go grab Lyra? I think she’s still in Yerim’s office helping her,” Mingi spoke from the other side of the room. Lyra had been there all day and hadn’t come to even peak her head in the entire time they had been practicing that evening.
Yerim was still a thorn in LIa’s side, doing her darndest to take up any spare time Lyra had and making up any excuse to keep Lyra at the company longer than she really needed to be. Like tonight, she requested that Lyra help her with some paperwork and an interview schedule that was coming up. None of these things had anything to do with the job she was hired to do at KQ.
Lia and the boys were getting more off-put with the needy manager and her attachment to their soulmate.
“Okay, listen we haven’t heard from her since the kids left from their session at 4:30, when she let us know that Yerim had asked for help. We’re not having another dinner, even if it’s here in the practice room without her,” the boys could only watch as Lia ranted before making her way out the door and down the hall. They were also less than pleased with the situation, but it was more complicated for them.
The march down the hall wasn’t a long one, but it felt like the halls would never end. If she didn’t know any better, Lia would swear the baby was moving more as if telling her not to go toward the office.
Standing outside the door was nothing short of nerve-wracking, and knocking was worse.
Yerim’s expression when she opened the door was like someone had vomited down her shirt. She looked at Lia like she was the worst thing to ever step in front of her.
“What?,” Yerim always made sure to speak to Lia in Korean as fast as she could get it out of her mouth. It was one of the many things Yerim could do to make any interaction they had awful, especially since the incident a week prior with Jongho. She had only gotten more nasty in her treatment of Lia and more desperate to keep Lyra as close to her as possible.
“Hi, Yerim. I’m just coming to get Lyra for dinner, we thought it would be nice if the entire soul group could eat together tonight,” Lia was just as nasty to the manager at this point. She tried her best to be polite but she wouldn’t take any more of her shit.
“She’s not going anywhere, my Lyra is going to have dinner with me tonight like she should,” Yerim had this crazy look in her eye, like a mad woman.
“Excuse me? Who do you think you are? Lyra! Lyra? Come on, the boys are waiting, we're going to have dinner then go home, we all need to have a talk,” there was some movement from in the room, and a noise that could only be described as rage left Yerim.
She stepped forward pushing Lia back a few steps as she slammed the door to her office shut, blocking Lia’s way to Lyra and vice versa separating the two of them from one another.
It was fast and then there was something sharp in Lia’s abdomen, it didn’t take her looking down to know that it was a knife. Black dots started to form with every blink of her eye, pain coming from all over but her only thought was of her baby. This bitch was trying to hurt her baby.
The black started to take over her vision before she could even get out a cry for help.
“Lia?” A voice was calling out to her, soothing and like home.
“Lia, are you going to get up now? You can’t sleep on the couch like this, not when you just got out of the hospital,” She opened her eyes to see Lyra and Yunho next to her in their home like nothing had ever been wrong. Like she hadn’t just been stabbed by a psycho at their place of work.
She sat straight up on the couch, her hand flying to her stomach to check for a puncture wound and to feel for the baby.
“The baby, oh my god the baby,” the panic in her voice made Yunho and Lyra go into overdrive.
“Lia, what baby? Are you okay, pretty?” Yunho kneeled right next to her and put a hand on her forehead to check for a spike in temperature.
“I was pregnant and got attacked and-,” Lia stopped talking for a second trying to take in everything as she got her wits about herself.
“Lia, you passed out a few nights ago and we went to the hospital, remember? It was a combination of lingering soul sickness because you didn’t finish your meds and in conjunction with the migrain you had put you on your ass,” with Lyra’s words it all came flooding back and her heart sank a little as reality came to hang over her head.
It had all been a dream, the pregnancy and the baby and the attack from Yerim. None of it had happened and a part of her was crushed that the little life she had been growing wasn’t real. A larger part of her, however, was relieved that there was no child because she knew it wasn’t the right time for a baby and all of the complications that come along with a kid.
“I had the craziest dream, I was pregnant and Yerim stabbed me,” The words tumbled out of her mouth before she could stop them. Half of her thought that maybe she would trigger the time loop and it would put her back in the alternative universe where she was pregnant.
Instead, all she could hear were the laughs that came from Yunho and Lyra.
“The doctor did say you would have some wild dreams, but let's hope no one gets stabbed and no babies until later, " Yunho paused for a second, “Much later.”
She couldn’t help but fall back with her laughs, everything had seemed so real and it was such a long dream. But those good drugs always gave her weird dreams including the one time when she broke her ankle and had a dream about brooms trying to sweep her away but she couldn't run because of her ankle.
The next couple of days were odd, some days she had to remind herself that none of that had happened. She still had the worst feeling in her gut any time someone mentioned Yerim, but it was something she would get over with time. Everyone took this as a bit of a wake-up call, a sign that life changes when more soulmates come into the picture.
“You look tired,” Lia jumped a little, she hadn’t expected the sound of Jongho’s voice.
“How can you tell, my back is to you?” She had been doing some light editing on and off for the day. She wasn’t able to do much but a little bit of screen time wouldn’t hurt her.
“Because I can,” He wasn’t wrong but if she laid in bed doing nothing, she knew that sleep would never come. She needed to be exhausted to get to sleep, she could never relax enough to drift off if she wasn’t dead tired.
“Well, I’m not tired enough. I’ll be done soon and try to lay down,” She was lying, she would work into the early hours of the morning but this would make him feel better so in her mind it was fine. Turning to look at him, Lia gave him a small smile, something to reassure him only to find him not buying her words.
“No, we will go lay down together. I’m tired too and want to cuddle.” There was no argument there especially when he was already walking over to her with full intention to haul her away from the office. It was a good sleep, no witch dreams. It felt like a fresh start, a way to reconnect with this life.
A/N: sorry this is a short one, but I wanted y'all to have more than one update lol. I will be back eventually. until then, be good.

After that updates will be pretty all over the place. lots of love!

Being pregnant was not fun thus far for Lia. She honestly wasn’t that far along but it still sucked. The morning sickness and ire toward the rest of the world had yet to fade. The doctor had assured her during their first ‘baby appointment’ as Mingi had dubbed it that after the first trimester, everything would calm down some and things would be easier.
Lia couldn’t wait for 13 weeks to get here faster, instead, she was at her 8-week check-up. They had decided to go ahead with a blood test to see what the gender of the baby was and to go ahead with a paternity test to determine who the father was. Which meant that this was a rather long appointment, she had been here for around an hour and was almost done. Lyra had been out in the waiting room as her companion for this trip as the boys had a long day of practices after the couple of schedules they had during the morning.
There was a lot of pouting from the potential fathers in attempts to skip their schedules for the day, needless to say, it didn’t work. Hajoon had put his foot down and forced the two oldest into the car to take them to work.
“Okay, you should be all good to go. The gender results should be back in the next 2 to 4 days, so the latest you should hear back from us is on Monday. As for the paternity results, since you requested the fastest time for that, we will send you an email with the results this evening or tomorrow morning at the latest." The nurse was walking with Lia toward the station where she could pick up the prescription for her prenatal vitamins and a few other prescriptions to help the baby.
“Okay, drug store then back home? Maybe stop to pick up something to eat,” Lyra asked as Lia walked up to her in the waiting room.
“Drug store, and then I was thinking we could pick up food and surprise the boys during their practice?” Lia hadn’t spent a lot of time at the company, there wasn’t really a need for her to. She didn’t work there and always felt a little awkward when she came up there by herself. She had a badge and all her credentials, but she felt awkward and out of place.
“I think that would work pretty well, I have the day off but those damn kids have been bugging me again. I might pop into their practice for a few minutes while we are there,” Lyra had grown rather close to her children as she had dubbed them despite the age difference not being that huge.
“Yeah, I thought with how clingy Hongjoong and Seonghwa were this morning they might want some extra company since they were set to be there pretty late,” Lia stopped talking for a second as they walked outside and were blinded by the power of the sun. Neither of them had the desire to drive in Korea just yet, so for most things, they settled on walking.
“Should we ask them what they want for a late lunch?” Lyra had pulled up a map of some of the restaurants in the area that they would pass on their way to KQ. There were a couple of food spots they had become familiar with but the boys had their own favorites, Wooyoung especially loved introducing both of the girls to different Korean dishes.
“Do you want to call and see what they want,” Lia was leading the way toward the company. Lyra nodded before pulling out her phone to call Hajoon, not wanting to interrupt the boys. They began to move a bit slower, multitasking like this was something Lyra was bad at.
Lia wanted to act like nothing was going to change but the fact of the matter was that everything was going to be different. This would have changed everything even if idol life didn’t come into play but that was just another added stressor.
“You good with chicken, Yeosang won rock, paper, scissors again,” Lia nodded her head in response to Lyra. She had been her rock through the whole thing, going to every appointment, even getting her different meals when something turned her stomach or even holding her hair when the morning sickness was too much to bear.
“You’re awfully quiet today, pretty. Are you feeling okay?” Wooyoung was being gentle with her, stroking the ends of her hair and making sure she had more than enough food from their lunch. The boys were more than happy when they walked through the doors about fifteen minutes ago. They were all spread out in the practice room, munching and relaxing while they had the chance.
“This is just a lot, and I feel like i’m going to ruin everyone's lives,” Lia was doing her best not to cry, honestly she felt as though she spent more time crying in the last couple weeks than not. The combination of the tears and the food she had just swallowed made her stomach turn and she was out the practice room door in seconds.
The bathroom was just down the hall and soon enough the sound of her retching was filling the women's restroom. She let her forehead on the rim of the toilet, as gross as the whole thing was, and let the tears drip. The hormones passed and she could feel her phone buzzing in her back pocket, no doubt everyone was looking for her. Time to pull it together, at least until she was back in the practice room. Crying in there seemed like a right of passage.
As nasty as she felt about being that up close and personal with the toilet, she refused to admit it to anyone living or dead that she had done that. Lia turned on the faucet before washing her hands and face with cold water, when she was patting her face with a paper towel the bathroom door opened.
“Sorry, Ly. I’ll be out there in a second.”
“Take your time, It’s no problem we just wanted to know where you were. I thought you would probably be rushing this way,” Lyra patted her back softly and gave her a slight hug before letting her know that she’d be in the practice room with everyone else when she was ready.
After gathering her courage, Lia decided that she would head back to the others after making a pit stop at the vending machine. She wanted something cold and carbonated to help settle her stomach. It was rather close to the practice room anyway. She was in her own little world when someone walked up behind her.
“You shouldn’t be here.” The words hung in the air, Lia didn’t immediately recognize the voice and they spoke too fast for her to pick up every word.
“Excuse me,” Lia was less than pleased when she turned to find Yerim standing behind her. She wasn’t blind to the friendship that had been forming between her one female soulmate and the young manager. She wasn’t a huge fan thus far, she had seen a few times now where Yermin had blown Lyra’s phone up. It tended to happen when they were all trying to spend time together.
Yerim looked at her as if she was stupid before speaking once more, “You. Do. Not. Belong. Here. You and all of your problems make everything so much harder for all of us, don’t you get that.”
Lia understood her clear as day now. She really was just an uber bitch, huh? Before Lia even got the chance to open her mouth to respond, she felt a gentle hand on her arm.
“What did you say to her?” Jongho’s grip was gentle on her arm but his voice was harsh in a way that almost caused her to jump. Stepping from her side, he came to shield her from the harsh manager.
“I-” Yerim stuttered for a second before gathering herself, “She does not have a badge on. No ID, she cannot be in this part of the building. That’s all I mean.” Her little lie wasn’t convincing for anyone involved.
Jongho had never really liked the youngest manager and was less than pleased with her behavior towards his girls. She was too clingy to Lyra, Lia hadn’t been the only one to notice the spam texts or when she would randomly interrupt not only Lyra’s English lessons but also her breaks when she would try and visit the boys or they would come to her. He didn’t consider himself a jealous man but when it came to his soulmates, he was always on high alert and hated to admit that he didn’t want anyone else taking any of their attention. They all belonged to him and he to all of them, everyone else could screw right off. There was only room for Ateez, his girls, and Atiny in his life, not this bitch in front of him.
“Well. She’s with me and her badge is in her bag in the practice room. It’s Lia, remember, you’ve been kind enough to pick her up for us. She’s our soulmate remember,” Jongho was calling her stupid in all but words, everyone knew who the girls were. All staff were more than aware at this point and even though Lia was at the company significantly less, that didn’t make her a stranger.
“Yes, bu-”
“Maybe your memory is going, don’t worry i’ll let Hajoon hyung know you’re struggling and maybe he can lighten your workload some,” Jongho had decided the conversation was over, guiding Lia back toward the practice room with steam practically rolling off of him.
“I’m so sorry, pretty. She doesn’t have the right to say anything like that to you.” Jongho was a bit flustered at this point, red in the face from anger. He was doing a silent check over her from head to toe.
“That was one of the most sexy things I think I have ever seen you do. And I have seen you walking around in nothing more than your boxers which is pretty fucking hot,” Lia was back to her old self in an instant, making Jongho a different type of flushed as he ushered her back into the practice room. Their other soulmates were way too loud as always.
“Yunho, I’m telling you. I can’t dance, especially shake my ass,” Lyra was in tears with laughter at the sight of Yunho and Mingi trying to show her how to ‘drop it low and work it’ as they had put it.
“Lia! Come here, pretty, I bet you can shake some ass can’t you or better yet let Wooyoungie teach you.” Wooyoung pulled her over to the chaos of their life. Her phone dinged as they all made it to the group.
“Work email?” San asked very tempted to look over her shoulder, the man was nosy what could he say.
Lia took in a deep breath upon reading the email. It had only been a few hours, she expected the results to take nearly all night. But low and behold, an email with the paternity of the child forming inside her was right there.
“Oh Hongjoong, I-'' Lia was going to cry again, god damn it. She had just stopped crying, pregnancy was overrated
“What? What;s wrong?” Hongjoong was now on high alert thinking the worst, had a saesang gotten her work email, or had someone died.
“We’re going to have a baby Kim in early 2023.”
And that is the story of how Hongjoong passed out in the practice room while not practicing. I’m just joking with you all, he passed out after Wooyoung started running down the hall trying to tell everyone the ‘happy baby news.’

Pep the new look, brought to you by the IRL Lia. Design Queen.
also did not set out for this to be smut but.... SMUT
slight twigger warnings:Polyamory, group of 10, two OC's -feel free to replace one OC with yourself if you'd like- , listen this is an idea me and my best friend had and is something for fun read at own risk, not edited as always, also we are starting to explore themes such as bxb and gxg if thats not for you, this story may not be for you.
Chapter IX. Chapter X, Chapter XI, Chapter XII, Chapter XIII, Next
Tumblr media
“Okay, Okay. I will compromise. The baby may be called Wooyoung Jr.” Wooyoung said through a mouthful of chicken as they were now in the den with some random movie playing on the TV as they spoke over what to name the baby.
“How is that a compromise? You just added jr and said it in English,” Yunho called out to his soulmate in disbelief as they had all vetoed his suggestion of Wooyoung as a name for the child more than once by now.
Lia was neck deep in a list of names she had been working with since high school, scrolling through them with Jongho whose chest she rested against while laying on the couch.
“What does life look like now, do we tell fans or try to keep it from the public?” Seonghwa was having the worst time processing the news and the fact that their lives were ticking down to such a drastic change. He wasn’t unhappy with the baby, just still in shock at the news.
“I won’t be able to hide it on stream for more than a couple months, and then I’d have to at least let my viewers know that not only has there been a change in our soulmate tether but also that there will be a baby soon,” nothing was set in stone and Lia was speaking off the top of her head but there was no denying that they could only take it so far until she couldn’t hide it anymore.
“I think we need to talk it over with the company as well before anything is decided. They don’t control this part of our lives but they always help us when they can,” San chimed in, speaking with a rather clear head about the entire situation.
They had all had rather different reactions to the news after it settled, obviously, Hongjoong and Seonghwa were freaking out a bit more than the other boys. Everyone would be a parent in some way, as international soulmate law dictated that soulgroups had the same parental rights. It was the fact that it would be their child, the little one would either carry the name Kim or Park. Atiny would have a real reason to call them father now.
San and Yunho had proved to be the most calm through the whole thing. After some initial shock, they had become rather comfortable with everything. Jongho was doing okay also, perhaps a little scared even. His mind was full of the what ifs but more than anything he was happy there was nothing wrong with his soulmate. Wooyoung had turned to his humor to process everything, he was working very hard to keep the tension mellow. Yeosang and Mingi were more quiet than normal, feeling more awkward with the situation. Their anxiety was running rather high, everyone’s anxiety was up honestly.
The group was falling back into a comfortable chatter, doing their best to just be in the moment. Lyra, San, and Yeosang were talking about the idea of doing a very specific themed nursery as a surprise for Lia. She couldn’t hear them as they were across the den and doing half of their talking in a small group chat.
“No, I think our best bet is Harry Potter or Twilight,” Lyra said after seeing Yeosang’s suggestion in their group chat. They were not going to theme it after the ponytail song in any way shape or form.
“I think my suggestion was superior, but whatever,” Yeosang gained annoyance at the fact that his last suggestion had been vetoed by the others in their newly formed committee.
“You’re such a little- “ Lyra stopped for a second and a puzzled look came on her face before a laughably deep frown.
“What?” Yeosang and San asked in unison at the look on her face.
“I don’t think there is a good translation for that, so i’ll just have to call you a little turd in English. You little turd,” Lyra stuck her tongue out at Yeosang but was too slow to dodge him as he lightly tossed himself forward onto her.
“A little turd? How dare you call me a little turd,” He was doing his best to keep her pinned down while not putting his entire body weight on her. His hands were torture devices as he tickled Lyra.
“Oh no no please stop, oh god,’ Lyra was crying from how hard she was laughing at being tickled and was doing her best to escape from the prison that was Yeosang’s arms.
“Not until you take it back and say Yeosang’s idea is the best idea.” His tickling speed increased in an effort to extract his desired reaction from his soulmate.
“Never, I will never submit, no,” Lyra squealed her words so loudly that everyone in the room was watching the two as they rough housed like lovesick teenagers. The moment was a reminder of who they were at their core. Just a group of kids who had grown up too fast and had then somehow found their way to each other.
Yeosang dipped his head close to her ear, so close that his lips brushed up against her with every breath, “I’m sure that I have ways to make you submit, I can feel the way you squirm against me no. I can only imagine how you look with your back arched off the bed and my cock balls deep in your cunt.” His words were low and sultry as his voice dipped into his deeper register, his hands stopped their assault as they went to Lyra’s hips.
Lyra lifted her head slightly as she felt Yeosang nip all but gently at her neck. She opened her eyes as her head was tilted back only to see the amused looks of the rest of her soulmates. It’s not that she had forgotten they were in the room, more so that she simply didn’t care. Clothes had become less of a mandatory thing in their home as they became more comfortable in their new setting. The boys were often in nothing more than their boxers and Lia hated wearing pants. Everyone’s tits were out on more than one occasion.
“We’re still here ya know,” Lia and Wooyoung were having way too much fun with the little show they had witnessed.
“Sorry, I don’t do shows for free,” Yeosang was feeling particularly cheeky as he spoke toward his soulmates as he stood up from his spot on the couch pulling Lyra up into a sitting position.
“Lyra, your phone is blowing up. Who's texting you so late at night?” Yunho tossed Lyra her long-forgotten phone from where it had fallen to the floor during her and Yeosang's horseplay.
“Oh hell, I don’t know. Probably one of the kids, who knows.” Lyra fully expected some of the trainees to be blowing up her phone with TikTok in English as they had taken to sending her but instead, it was dozens of messages from Yerim.
Tumblr media
“It’s Yerim.” Lyra showed her phone to Yunho who was leaning over her shoulder, “I guess I never updated her after I left so abruptly from our dinner last night.”
“She's being a bit much, huh?” Lia asked, seeing the countless texts that Lyra had received from the manager. It was a little unsettling for the pregnant female but she just pushed it aside. Everything that had gone on in the past few hours had stressed her out and she thought she was perhaps reading into it.
“I’m sure she’s just worried, it had to be unsettling for me to leave like that and then not be at work today,” Lyra thought nothing of it. Just her new friend showing concern for her and her soulmates' well-being.
They didn’t think much more of it as they began to start scattering for the night, Lia went to her room followed closely by the two oldest who had been more clingy to her since the news in the early afternoon.
Lyra was bent over putting some of the leftovers from their dinner into the fridge when she felt someone come to stand behind her.
“Did you think we could forget about your little challenge earlier just like that?” Yeosangs hands pulled her hips and ass up against him. Lyra could feel his dick against her, even through his sweats she could feel how hard he was.
As she straightened up from her bent position, Lyra made sure to push back against her even more. Two could play this game.
“Awe, is Yeosangie having a hard time?” Lyra ground her ass against his crotch harder this time, “Hmm?” She asked as he let out a groan at her teasing motions.
“Yeah, a real hard time. I think you’re going to have to help me,” Yeosang had slipped one hand from its place at her hip up under her shirt until he had a handful of her tits. His hips were bucking into her just slightly as he played with her while her hand reached around to tangle itself into his hair.
“Am I?” Lyra was teasing him again, playing with the hair at the nape of his neck, pulling just slightly. It was one of his weaknesses, sending chills down his spine and straight to his cock.
“I think you are,” Yeosang was about to start nipping at her neck again just as he had on the couch when they heard one of their other soulmates walking toward the kitchen and while he had no plans on stopping what they were doing, Lyra used the opportunity to make this so much harder on him.
She slipped from his grasp and over to the other counter where she could see Mingi making his way over toward the kitchen. He had his airpods in and obviously hadn’t heard anything from the kitchen. She waved at him while pretending to be scrolling on her phone, making it all look casual. It took him a few minutes to grab his snack from the fridge before he started down the hall toward Yunho’s room where the two were playing some sort of video game.
“You better believe I don’t care if a single one of them walk in here, I’m about to fuck you raw in this kitchen.” Yeosang’s voice had gone deep again, one of his hands came to sit right beside hers on the counter and the other returned to her waist.
“I can’t wait,” Lyra was giddy as she laid her hand over Yeosang’s that was on her waist and guided his hand lower until he got the idea. Yeosang played with the band of her shorts before he slipped his hand inside her underwear.
Lyra bit out a moan as she felt Yeosang start to circle her clit, her hips started rocking with his rhythm. Yeosang was thriving off the sounds she was making, he wanted her to be so loud that it drew every single other soulmate out to watch him make her fall apart.
“I’ve barely touched you and you’re soaked. I bet you’ve got a wet spot on those pretty little pink shorts you’ve got on,” Yeosang groaned as he ground against her ass again, “Pink is by far my favorite color on you and these shorts drive me wild. Do you know how hard it is for me to stop myself from finding you at work just so I can grab your ass? Make sure that every single one of those trainees knows that their precious ‘Noona’ belongs to me. Belongs to Ateez.”
Yeosang slipped one of his legs between Lyra's, forcing her legs further apart so he could slip his hand down more. His fingers found their way from her clit lower, he teased her entrance once, twice, and then a third time before he slid two fingers into her.
“Oh god,” Lyra moaned as Yeosang pumped his fingers hard onto her wet pussy. She could feel his long fingers brushing against her G-spot and Lyra leaned forward using the counter in front of her as a way to gain her balance. “You’re such a good slut for me, Doll. I can feel you getting tight, you wanna cum all over my finger?” Yeosang shifted his wrist to pump into her at a new angle and a yelp left Lyra. She was panting and splayed her hands out in front of her on the counter. Her moan only got louder as Yeosang stroked his fingers against her G-spot over and over, she was nearly screaming as she came.
She was trying to pull some deep breaths in, but what she didn’t expect was Yeosang to move his hand from the counter beside her to her neck in a flash. He pulled her back into his chest, his hand grasping her throat just strong enough, “Tell me how you taste, Doll.”
He brought his fingers which were covered in her juices up to her lips and without having to be told twice she sucked his fingers into her mouth. It was perhaps the most erotic thing Wooyoung and San had seen to date as they stood at the other end of the room. The noises that Lyra had been making had drawn them out thinking something bad had happened. It was a pleasant surprise, to say the least.
“Showing him how good you are with your mouth, Doll?” San made their presence known to the two caught up in their own lust in the kitchen.
“Mmmhmm” Lyra moaned a yes around Yeosangs fingers, she moved her hand back to Yeosangs crotch and rubbed to signal to him that she wanted him to fuck her. To fuck her right here in front of their other soulmates watching them.
“Let’s see how good she looks around my cock, huh boys?” Yeosang called to the others while he slid her shorts down before pulling his own pants and slamming into her. He held her against him still with the hand that was around her throat. Her tits were bouncing with the power of his thrust, nipples hard against the fabric of her shirt.
“God damn, Doll. How did we end up with two soulmates who both have such perfect tits?” Wooyoung chimed in watching, if he had any less restraint he would have been making his moves over to them to wrap his mouth around one of those pebbled nipples.
Yeosang bent Lyra at the waist so he could pound relentlessly into her, he had been damn near obsessed with her ass since that very first morning they spent in the same hotel suite. Watching it bouncy as he fucked her was nearly enough to make his eyes roll to the back of his head in pleasure.
“Fate knew exactly what it was doing, pairing us together. You were made to take my cock.” Yeosang was spurred on by his own words and the fact that he had an audience. What kind of idol would he be if he didn’t put on the best show he possibly could.
“I’m going to fill you, you’ll leak my cum for days. You’d like that wouldn’t you?” Lyra could only nod as she was so caught up in her bliss.
“Lia’s already caring our baby, should I just knock you up now? So we can watch the two of you grow together. I can see it now, both of you round with tits bursting at the seams with milk. I’ll make you a mommy, is that what you want? For me to make you a mommy?” Yeosang was so close he could almost taste it, but he refused to cum first.
Slipping one hand back down to her clit, Yeosang began to pound into her and rub her clit at the same pace. Lyra could only take it for a second before she was seeing stars, he was soon to follow as he felt her clenched tightly around him.
San and Wooyoung shared a heated kiss after the show they had watched, planning to go have some fun of their very own in San’s room. As they were walking down the hall they heard something that almost ruined their mood, in a good way.
“I don’t know what life would have been like if we didn’t find Ateez, find all of you,” Lyra said as she planted a sweet kiss on Yeosang’s lips who was helping her put her clothes back in order.
“There is no lifetime where we wouldn’t have found the two of you, even if just from afar. We would have always known you somehow.” Yeosang kissed her forehead gently before pulling her toward the direction of his room.
A/N:
hi :) and welcome to i fell down a whole of Yeosang last night and we all must live with the outcomes. I have been dreaming about this smut scene since our first interaction with him, I hope you all enjoyed it.

Chapter VIII, Chapter IX. Chapter X, Chapter XI, Chapter XII, Next
*note play How To Save A Life while reading this chapter cause we're emotional*
Lyra’s phone ringing on the table with Lia’s name was the last thing she wanted to see during this dinner. Still, she knew she couldn’t just let it ring like that her anxiety wouldn’t let her.
“Oh, I'm so sorry. Is it okay if I take this? It’s Lia,” Lyra felt bad for having to step away like this but all she could do was hope Yerim understood.
“I swear to god, Lia, if you're about to ask me to bring you home something to eat the answer is no.” Okay, so Lyra wasn’t over the spat they had earlier. Everything is fine, it’s fine.
“Lyra,” the sound of Lia’s voice over the phone sent chills down Lyra’s spine. It was quiet and horse, something was obviously wrong on the other end of the phone. “Ly, I think something is wrong. I’m bleeding and my head hurts so bad I can barely see.”
“Okay, I’m on my way back to the apartment right now, stay on the line let me get out of this restaurant real quick, Okay?” The cold rush of panic hit Lyra’s blood system as she rushed back over to the table. Something in the back of her mind told her it was rude to leave like this but her only concern was getting home. Lia wasn’t the type to admit when something was wrong unless she thought it was a life-or-death situation.
That thought shook Lyra to the core.
“I’m so sorry Yerim, I’m going to have to go. Lia is feeling really bad and I need to go be with her. Tonight is my treat though, so I went ahead and paid. I'm so sorry I have to rush like this.”  Lyra barely heard Yerim’s response and goodbye before she was back out the door and back on the phone with Lia.
“Lia, are you still there?” Lyra was trying to not let her own panic bleed over the phone, she knew the best way to keep Lia calm was to be calm herself.
“I’m here,” she sounded even worse than just a few minutes ago, Lyra had half a mind to run the few blocks from the restaurant to their apartment but the street was too busy for her to avoid running into anyone.
“Just stay on the line with me okay, tell me about the last thing you saw on twitter? Was it anything interesting?” The first thing that came to Lyra was to keep her talking about literally anything and Twitter was easy.
“I can’t remember, I think something about the airport or someone at the airport. It was funny I think, I don’t know,” Lia could hardly keep her eyes open on the other side of the phone, she had never felt so weak in her life. Her period had come early as well which only made her feel worse. She hated it when she was spotting.
Lia could hear Lyra saying something on the other end of the phone but she was too hazy to answer at this point and the haze of her eyesight had worsened. She just wanted to sleep in her spot in the bathroom, a nap really sounded great.
But then there was the annoying sound of the door once again, keeping her from taking her nap just like it had early in the day.
“Lia. Lia!” Lyra was knocking on the other side of the bathroom door, but she couldn’t get in. Lia had locked the door when she walked into the bathroom.
“Lia,” there was Lyra's voice again, she could hear her, “Lia, I need you to get up and open the door. The paramedics are on their way, but you gotta open the door so we can help you,” Lia didn’t remember making it to the door, she didn’t remember much until they made it to the hospital really.
Everything moved fast from that point, the paramedic was there and in a matter of minutes, Lia was on a stretcher heading for the back of an ambulance. If Lyra thought that the initial phone call from Lia was the worst part of the night, she was dead wrong. It was the silence she was met in the back of the taxi as she rushed toward the hospital.
Hongjoong didn’t answer his phone.
Wooyoung’s phone went straight to voicemail.
Yunho, Seonghwa, Jongho, Mingi, Yeosang, San. Not one of them answered their phone.
They were still at practice and would be until late into the night, it was no different than any other night as far as they knew. So the only person Lyra knew could get to them was Hajoon.
“Lyra? Are you locked out of the building again?” No one expects the phone call, you know the one.
“Hajoon, we’re on our way to the hospital and I can’t get the boys to answer my calls,” Lyra was crying on the other end of the phone
“We who? Are you hurt?” He was so confused as to who was hurt, and why they were going into the hospital at almost 10 at night.
“No, not me. Not me. Lia, I'm following behind the ambulance now,” She was speaking almost too fast for Hajoon to follow, her Korean had gotten sloppy because of how upset she was.
“Tell me what happened,” over the next few minutes he just sat there listening to exactly what had happened from the moment that Lyra had gotten the call from Lia while out at dinner to where they were now on their way to the hospital. He kept her on the phone as long as he could, part of it was to try and make her calm down also so that he could get as much information about the situation as possible. He was only responsible for Ateez, his job ended and began with their well-being. These two girls weren’t his job, he didn’t have to care about them. But he did, he cared about them just as much as he cared for the boys one room over. Now it was both his job, literally and because he cared for those girls, to tell those eight boys that their soulmate was in the hospital.
“Why is it always you, huh? Can’t the universe decide to choose someone else to pick on for once,” Lyra was playing with Lia’s fingers, sitting next to her in a hospital room. It was an eerily familiar scene for the pair, but this time they were on the other side of the world and couldn’t call their moms to tell them everything would be okay.
Lia hadn’t really woken up since they left the house, there were a few moments when she would wake up before going back to sleep. The nurses had been in and out, but the doctor hadn’t been in to see them yet. The room was rather quiet besides the general buzz of a hospital room.
“Lia? Lyra?” Two people stepped into the small hospital room with black face masks covering the lower halves of their faces. Lyra could recognize her soulmates immediately, Jongho walked into the room first followed by Hongjoong.
Lyra stood as they entered the room and pulled each one of them into a tight hug, despite the brave front they were putting on she could feel their hands shaking and how they held her close. All of them were hiding how scared they really were, maybe if they acted this way the situation would right itself.
“Where’s my hug?” The three of them turned to see Lia sitting up in her hospital bed as best she could while trying to avoid getting wrapped up in the different cords attached to her.
Each of them went next to the bed, Hongjoong grabbed her hand and gently stroked the back of her hand.
“Hey,” Jongho said from the other side of her, Lia couldn’t really read his expression because of his mask but she hoped that there was a small smile on his face.
“Hey,” Lia was moving around some more and really didn’t want to be tied down to the bed anymore. She didn’t really know what happened but it was easy enough for her to put two and two together. She was in the hospital plain and simple.
Lyra hadn’t said anything, she just stepped out of the room really quickly. Lia couldn’t blame her, she didn’t remember much after getting up to use the bathroom but she did remember how harsh she had been the last time she spoke to Lyra at the house.
“How are you feeling?” Hongjoong asked, trying to figure out what was wrong with her, it all seemed to come out of nowhere.
“Bad, like someone beat me over the head with a baseball bat plus my period start and that’s always trash,” She was trying to make the situation a little more lighthearted but it was obvious that the boys were not ready yet to give into her humor.
“Why didn’t you say anything, I thought we talked about this. I though-” Hongjoong got a little choked up on his words, frustrated and worried about the person who seemed so fragile before him.
“I just thought it was a migraine, that it would just ease up. I’ve had migraines like this before,” It was the honest truth, she had migraines that had lasted for months as a teenager and there was nothing that could really be done except to take an advil.
Before they could continue their conversation, Lyra came back into the room with a nurse behind her and the small room became even smaller with all the people there. After the hospital staff was alerted that Lia had woken up it was a furry of people in and out. Redoing tests and administering new tests to try to figure out why she had ended up here. They wouldn’t tell anyone anything specific just that they were trying to get answers before they saw anything definitive.
The other boys were just as anxious to be there, but the hospital had a cap on how many people could be in the room at once, so those who were there right now would trade-off in the morning. Jongho was sure that Hongjoong and Lyra had fallen asleep in their chairs somewhere around 1 a.m. The room had become less busy and Lia had gone back to sleep after they had given her some medication to help ease any pain she was in.
He couldn’t hold it anymore as he let the tears spill over while trying not to wake anyone with his crying. He didn’t show his emotions as much as the others, but it didn’t mean he cared any less. He felt so helpless just watching from the sidelines like this, as one of the most important people in his life was suffering.
“Please be okay. Please. Please. Please,” Jongho whispered the words like a prayer of sorts, hoping that something out there would listen to him. Maybe it wasn’t that serious but sitting in a hospital room it always felt like the world didn’t continue outside. Like everything revolved around the happenings of this awful place.
“I’ll be just fine, you know,” Jongho’s head popped up to see Lia smiling at him. He quickly tried to wipe the tears from his eyes and hide the evidence that he was upset.
“How do you know that, we’re sitting in a hospital and. And-” The tears were back, heavier this time and he had to bring his fist to his mouth so as to not make any sound.
“I just do. Maybe it’s because I know that I don’t have to do this alone. That Lyra doesn’t have to sit on the other side of the bed alone this time.” Lia was holding his hand, and without second thought Jongho placed his head on her bed next to where their hands were intertwined together, every so often he would bring their hands to his lips. The two of them ended up falling asleep like that.
Soon enough the morning came, the nurses filtered back in and the doctor would make his rounds around 9 am.
“Okay, Seonghwa and Mingi will be here in a little while. Wooyoung will come around noon after his schedule is over.” Lyra looked up from her spot near the bed and nodded before getting up to give them both a hug and kiss.
“I’ll keep you all updated, I promise.” Lyra said as they moved around the room to say goodbye to Lia as well who was dosing in and out of sleep.
Not long after the boys left, the doctor finally made his rounds and had some news.
“Our tests have told us a couple things, firstly you were dealing with some lasting side effects of having soul sickness with major separation. While you were being treated, you did not finish the last of the medication, correct?” The doctor paused to get some sort of confirmation from Lia who sheepishly nodded her head confirming that she did not finish the bottle of medication she had from her last time in the hospital.
“That is why you have been feeling so fatigued and the constant migraine, so we will give you another round of medication. You must be sure to finish them this time and I promise there will be no complications if that's what you’re worried about,” Lia was following the doctor until his last little point. What type of complications was this doctor talking about, and why would that be a concern.
“I’m sorry, complications?” Lia asked the doctor rather pointedly, making it quite clear that she didn’t understand what he was referencing.
“Well, complications with the pregnancy. You don’t have to worry about the spotting, it happens sometimes during this stage of pregnancy, but overall the blood tests have told us it’s healthy thus far. We will give you some information to set up an appointment with an OB.” The doctor kept talking but Lia had tuned out his words. She hadn’t missed any of her pills, except for the night before.
“I’m pregnant.” Lia cut off the doctor, If Lyra wasn’t just as surprised at the news she would have laughed at the look on Lia’s face.
“Shut up, I’m not pregnant. Don’t joke about things like that,” Lia was sure this was some sort of joke that someone was playing. She’d laugh about it later, but for now, it wasn’t very funny.
“No, you’re pregnant. I’m sorry if you didn’t know, but I wouldn’t dare lie about this.” The doctor was taken back by the tone coming from Lia.
“Nope, not me. I refuse, I would like a refund.” Lia was adamant this was a joke or a mistake or something other than what she was hearing.
“I can show you the blood test results, or we can try and do an ultrasound. I’d say you’re just about six weeks along, so the baby should be visible. Perhaps we may even be able to see the heartbeat,” The doctor offered as a solution to which Lia readily agreed and then they would see that there was a mistake, she wasn’t pregnant.
“Oh dude, I hope there has been some sort of major mistake. We can barely take care of ourselves let alone a kid,” Lyra said while grabbing Lia’s hand, her words weren’t very calming but they did make Lia laugh so that was a plus.
Tumblr media
It would be an interesting conversation later when the boys made it home, Wooyoung was going to have a field day with this.

Chapter VIII, Chapter IX. Chapter X, Chapter XI, Next
Lia had finally made her way back to the group of her soulmates, almost all of them were asleep now except for Jongho. He was obviously waiting for her to come back as he had slung his arm over where her pillow was making it known he wanted to cuddle with her.
Jongho had always been a little more reserved with his affection and he had small gestures the girls were learning more and more as time went on.
“Are you okay? Is there anything I can do?” Jongho asked as Lia settled back down onto the ridiculous amount of blankets they had laid down on the floor.
“Yeah, it was mostly just the feeling of being sick not actually being sick. I’m either going to drop dead or it’s my anxiety, who knows,” Lia joked as she cuddled into him wanting to just be near to him, to all of them.
“Don’t joke like that,” Jongho said seriously, he understood that it was a joke and the Gen Z outlook on life but there was something about the thought that any of them being gone was something he couldn’t process.
“I’m not going anywhere, honey, I promise.” Lia said as she started to drift off to sleep, Jongho just watched her for a moment. He raised his head to look over the sleeping and still bodies of his soulmates surrounding him, hearing their breaths in and out before bringing his head back down to his pillow. He just listened to their breathing for a while before letting himself sleep.
The morning came to Lia rather fast as the feeling that she was about to vomit returned around 15 to 8 in the morning. On her rather speedy trip to go hang her head near the toilet again, she noticed that Seonghwa, Yeosang, and Yunho were already moving around the kitchen doing god knows what. Waking up this early was Lia’s least favorite, not only for the fact that she felt awful but it annoyed her that she had no real plan for the day but was up before 10 a.m.
The sick feeling lingered for a few minutes before she felt it dissipate enough for her to go find something in the kitchen that might settle her stomach some. Lyra tended to keep Ginger ale around to drink casually, so it was a plus for Lia when she felt like an ass.
“Morning Pretty,” Yunho placed a kiss on her forehead as she walked into the kitchen, followed by a slightly concerned Seonghwa padding over to them.
“Are you feeling okay? You were sick last night too?” Seonghwa asked doing the same as Yunho but if Lia had to guess he used the kiss on her forehead to check for a fever.
“It comes and goes, I really think the travel has caught up with me and is working my nerves. Triggering me to feel sick, when I go and sit in the bathroom nothing really happens. I’ve gotten sick maybe a handful of times with this feeling.” Lia grabbed a drink and sat next to Yeosang at the small breakfast table.
“If it doesn’t pass in a couple days, you’re going to the doctor,” Seonghwa said from his spot where he was making some sort of pancakes at the stove. so “Yes, darling,” Lia rolled her eyes at the protective and nurturing nature of her soulmate. It warmed her heart that he cared, but she was just kinda crabby for being up this early. “And where did you get stuff to cook pancakes? We don’t have any mix?”
“Oh, I looked up a recipe and you had everything in the pantry so here we are,” just as Seonghwa finished speaking San, Hongjoong, and Mingi made their way from the den over to the kitchen.
“Food,” was the only word that came out of San as he came over to Yeosang and hugged him from behind. Without a word, Yeosang lifted a spoonful of cereal from his bowl and fed San, who sighed happily at being fed before nuzzling into Yeosang's neck some more. They all sat there in some sort of domestic bliss for the next half hour eating some, talking some, but really they were waiting on the last three to wake up on their own.
After a while, a messy-haired Jongho made his way to where they all were and instantly went for the caffeine. He sipped for a second before whispering a scratchy hello to everyone else in the room.
He blinked for a second before speaking again, “So she does that to everyone, I guess?” Jongho asked no one in particular.
“Who does what to everyone?” Seonghwa asked as he passed some food to Jongho.
“Lyra, I noticed it the couple of times we’ve slept in the same bed and I saw her doing it to Wooyoung hyung when I got up. She has her hand on his back like she has to be touching him in some way,” the youngest male said, making everyone in the room nod as they too had noticed this peculiar sleeping habit.
“Yeah, she did that to me in the middle of the night last night. When I turned over, I felt her put her hand on my back,” San spoke up from his spot in the kitchen.
“She’s checking to make sure you’re still breathing,” Lia stopped to swallow the food left in her mouth before continuing, “If she can’t see the rise and fall of your chest, she will slip her hand on to your back so she can make sure you’re still breathing.” It wasn’t a new thing for Lia she was used to it by now having had Lyra do it to her for years.
“Why is she worried we're not breathing in our sleep?” Hongjoong was a little apprehensive to ask but could feel the question lingering in the air.
“Uhh, okay well…” Lia trailed off for a second obviously being very conscious of how she went about how she told this story, “Her Dad was sick for a very long time. Practically her whole childhood and into her early adulthood. It got to a point where when he would fall asleep his breathing would be so shallow she would have to go over and physically touch him to make sure he was still breathing.”
All the boys who were awake listened intently to Lia's words, they knew that Lyra’s father was a subject she tended to avoid and even though they knew they might feel guilt about it later, they were all so curious. Lia had been super open with the fact that she had no contact with her father and had even instructed Hajoon to give security a picture of him so he could be added to the list of those who weren’t allowed even near the boys.
“When her Dad had his heart attack, it was in his sleep while he was at a rehab facility after a pretty intense surgery. She sat in the ICU with him for nearly a week, just watching him, waiting to see if he regained any brain function.” Lia stopped again this time to wipe the building tears from her eyes, she had only really met the man a few times but it still sat with her. “He never did, and she only went home once to sleep and shower the whole time. It’s part of that anxiety that lingers and when she’s half asleep it gets worse. She’s gone as far to wake me up a couple of times and it’s almost like sleep walking because she won’t remember the next morning. I kinda love it when she does it, I know that even when she's asleep her thoughts are about us.”
Lyra and Wooyoung turned the corner at this point obviously hearing what Lia had said, but Lyra didn’t seem upset with the subject matter or the fact that it had been discussed without her.
“There are nine thoughts that plague me at a near-constant rate, even in that soft moment where I cannot tell if I am dreaming or awake.” Lyra leaned into Hongjoong's side while she stood near him at the table. Lyra then leaned down and softly kissed him before smiling at all of them.
“Yeah, yeah. We get it, you have an English degree, stop trying to seduce us with your pretty words,” Lia giggled from her spot as she chewed on a pancake that had been slid onto her plate by Seonghwa.
“He would have liked all of you, he would have loved to pick your brains about life in another country. Plus he would have been obsessed with the amount of chili peppers that are used in Korean food.” Everyone laughed at that and they spent their free day together in that same weird domestic bliss before life came like a cold shower in the weeks to follow.
Life in Korea was stressful for the girls to say the least, especially with the fact that the boys were rarely ever home because of the comeback preparations and the Japanese release. Lyra was settling into her role at KQ, working mostly with the trainees to develop a foundation in English.
The worst part had been the fact that Lia had gone from feeling sick to just being in a god-awful mood. She streamed and worked, then wanted nothing more than to lay in her bed without anyone bothering her. So, that is what Lyra did, gave her the space she needed.
“Hi, I didn’t know what type of coffee you liked so I went with the default Iced Americano,” Lyra had made it her mission since they settled in to make peace with Yerim. They actually worked relatively closely together as Yerim was one of the main managers overseeing the trainees and their daily routines.
“Oh, um thank you,” Yerim was rather quiet in her tone of voice, she had dropped the attitude with Lyra rather fast after seeing that she was making such an effort to be friends. Still, they weren’t close by any means, mostly only talking about work-related things and how to make things easier for the kids who were working so hard toward their goals of becoming idols.
Lyra had a meeting once a week with at least one of the managers to update them on how the kids were doing, hence why she was here with Yerim now, semi-awkwardly looking at each other waiting for someone to start.
“All of them are doing well, it’s not an easy language to pick up but they all come ready and willing to learn something every day,” Lyra smiled at the kids she saw several times a week, they were sweethearts and had taken to calling her noona.
“Good, I think you’re doing well with them. You’re good at your job. How are you settling into life here,” The question surprised Lyra, she never expected Yermin to be the one to decide to try and bridge the gap between them.
“It’s okay, a little isolating, especially trying to figure out how to navigate everything. I really don’t like to bother anyone so when I get the chance I've been exploring bit by bit to figure it all out,” It was awkward for Lyra to admit but she wanted to be comfortable with her now co-worker.
“Well, next time you want to explore, ask me, I don’t mind going with you.” Lyra couldn’t help but smile, sure she had Eunsook but they didn’t get to see one another as often as they would like.
“Yeah for sure that would be awesome, I really appreciate that,” Lyra broke out into a smile, maybe this was a bit of a turning point for the better.
With that the two went on with the rest of their day, work was work in that way. Even though Lyra worked at the company she rarely saw the boys except for the few times they had popped in to say hello or get a quick kiss before disappearing once again back to their practice rooms.
Lia was having just as hard of a time adjusting. She had gone from feeling somewhat sick and mostly nauseous to feeling like she had a constant migraine. It had been weeks yet there was no ease in the constant stabbing pain behind her eyes.
Beyond that she knew that her soulmates were getting the short end of the stick so to speak, Lyra more than the rest of them as she was the one who was home with her more often as she tried to keep a good schedule with work. Lia missed all of them really, but it was hard to verbalize that when they were home, and most of the time she just wanted to sleep to get a break from the headache that plagued her.
Lia was nearly asleep when she heard the front door open, knowing that it was Lyra coming back from KQ for the day. Her resolve was to just act as if she hadn’t heard her and try to go back to sleep for a little while longer.
The sound of Lyra knocking on her door was the next thing she was aware of, “Hey Lia, are you hungry? I was going to make dinner or go pick something up, if you want something specific?”
The plain honest truth of it all was that Lia just wanted this headache to go away. She knew it wasn’t anyone’s fault but there was something so irritating in that moment of Lyra interrupting her that made her snap a little.
Moving faster than she had in several days Lia made her way to her bedroom door and ripped it open, “I’m not hungry. Can you not get the hint that I’m trying to sleep for fucks sake.” Everything was slipping from Lia’s mouth faster than she meant it to, and much harsher.
Lyra blinked at her for a second before speaking, “um, okay. Well that’s fine by me then. I will go find something to eat for myself, but don’t pull that bullshit where you decided in twenty minutes that you’re hungry and call me to get you something like a fucking delivery boy.”
Lia couldn’t really blame Lyra for handing the attitude right back to her, but she was already pissed off and the slight jab toward her behavior only pushed her more. “Jesus. Go be a bitch somewhere else, Lyra.”
“Say less.” Lyra flipped Lia the bird as she made her way down the hall to the front door, she didn’t even hear Lia slam her door shut before she had left the apartment.
It took Lyra a few minutes of aimlessly wandering that she would see if Yerim would mind her taking up her offer this early. Before she knew it, Lyra had pulled out her phone and was calling her co-worker.
“Hello?” Yerim sounded a little different on the phone, less stressed.
“Hi Yerim! Its Lyra, I hope you don’t mind but I was wondering if I could take you up on that offer of having some company while exploring?” There was a beat of silence and Lyra became a little anxious. Perhaps the offer was just to be polite and not a real offer, people did that sometimes when they felt obligated to be nice.
“Oh sure! I’d love to, actually do you want to grab dinner while we’re out?” Yerim’s voice came through the phone in a chipper tone and Lyra’s anxiety over the interaction dissipated.
“Yeah, that would be fantastic. Where do you want to meet?”
Finding Yerim was actually very easy as she lived much closer than Lyra had expected. It was like the awful interaction with Lia had never happened as the two of them began exploring some new places that Yerim was quite familiar with. It had been a long time since the last time Lyra was able to hang out with friends as many of hers lived far away from where they had lived in the States.
“No, listen. This is something i’m very passionate about, McNuggets are superior to Wendy’s nuggets.” Lyra was dead serious as she spoke about the better of the chicken nuggets.
“Okay, I’ll let you have this but you cannot tell me that McDonalds has a better burger because they do not,” Yerim laughed as they walked down the street toward the restaurant where they were going to have dinner. The two of them were side by side and slightly brushing shoulders as they walked, as friends would in Lyra’s opinion.
For Yerim it was different, this closeness was something she had never really had before. Sure she had friends, but most of them were very reserved people and there was something about the way Lyra completely accepted her. She had never really been close to people, she had never found her soulmate but Lyra looked at her and really saw her in a way she had never been seen before.
“Ah here we are, this is my favorite spot to get tteokbokki,” Yerim led Lyra into the space which to her surprise was a rice cake-themed restaurant that specializes in all different types of combinations of tteokbokki.
“Oh Yerim, you really know a way to a girl's heart don’t you?” While Lyra meant the question mostly as a joke Yerim was struggling to hide the blush that was forming on her face at the compliment.
“Oh it’s nothing really, I mean if you didn’t love tteokbokki the way I do we would have to rethink this whole being friends thing,” Yerim was quick to recover her composure and pick up the conversations as they made their way to a table and started their dinner.
“So, how did you get involved with the music industry?” It was a few minutes later as the girls sat beginning to eat their food that Lyra asked, trying to get to know more about the woman sitting across from her.
“Well, when I was much younger I really wanted to be an idol as most do,” Yerim started after she swallowed the food in her mouth, “That ended up not being the path for me, I didn’t like the idol path as much as I thought I would. I got very close to a manager while I was a trainee and they became a mentor to me in a way. I ended up going to school for business management and did some internships before coming to KQ.” Yerim’s path was pretty straightforward, to say the least, no big revelation or anything of the sort.
“That’s really cool, finding one passion through another and you still ended up in the same industry with just a different role,” Lyra’s praise made Yerim's heart sore, in the afternoon they had spent together it was like things just clicked in her eyes. This was how life was supposed to be, a little slice of perfection.
“I’m glad you called, this has been really fun Lyra. We have to do this more, I love being around you,” Yerim was trying to feel out the situation. Lyra had soulmates, but it was very public that she and Lia were a platonic coupling. Ateez was most likely the same, it would only make sense.
“Me too, I’m sorry for it being so out of the blue and not giving you any time to really rest after work. Lia and I kinda got into it once I got home and I really just wanted to be around a friend,” Lyra was so glad that this had turned out as it had, Yerim was turning out to be someone she could easily get close to. One of the few she had in this new place.
Yerim just listened as she gave a bit more detail about the situation and the emotional swings Lia had been experiencing since the major move. Lyra didn’t really blame Lia for any of it as she had been struggling to adjust to everything as well, but Yerim could spot the problem and in her opinion it was Lia. They continued like that just enjoying themselves until Lyra’s phone began to ring from her purse.
“Oh, I'm so sorry. Is it okay if I take this? It’s Lia,” Yerim just nodded as Lyra stepped away for a moment to take the call. It ground on her that Lia, one of the people who should cherish Lyra as Yerim had come to, was treating her this way, and yet, like the gentle person Lyra was, she would still take her call and worry about her.
Yerim was less than pleased when Lyra returned, looking extremely concerned and now in a rush.
“Everything okay?” Yerim was more concerned with Lyra and that their fight had continued on the phone. She was making the plan now, Lyra could come stay with her and then they would get all of her stuff out of that awful household and be together.
“I’m so sorry Yerim, I’m going to have to go. Lia is feeling really bad and I need to go be with her. Tonight is my treat though, so I went ahead and paid. I'm so sorry I have to rush like this.” Lyra was gathering her things and was on her way out the door as fast as she could to get back to her house.
It was very clear to Yerim, the entire situation. She and Lyra were meant to be together, Ateez and their connection was a non-issue to her. But Lia, she was the issue. The real reason they couldn’t see their tether to one another yet.
A/N: so you know how i said it would be a while? Yeah i got inspired at work today so here is this one, and we can finally see the plot of the second arch starting to unfold. Oh yes, this will be a very intresting turn of events ;)

Chapter VIII, Chapter IX. Chapter X, Next
The hardest part about moving to the other side of the world, literally was finding a place to live. On top of that, finding a place large enough for 10 people to live comfortably in a city as populated as Seoul.
Just after Lia and Lyra returned home from LA months ago, they decided that the most important thing in their move was this exact issue. With the help of the ever-faithful Hajoon, they began a very specific hunt, and to no one's surprise, they found nothing that was what they imagined. Now, did they really expect to find an apartment or condo with enough space for 10 adults to have their own rooms, no.
Instead what they ended up finding, by a stroke of luck and a random choice was an apartment complex up for sale. It was rather large and seemed to be a luxury apartment complex. Now the price had several zeros attached to it, but something the girls rarely spoke of was their current finances. After Lia had begun getting a decent income from her streams and brand deals the first thing the girls did was invest in property.
They owned the apartment they lived in, a rental house in Myrtle Beach, and their most expensive property up until that point was a historic home located in downtown Charleston. They made a significant amount of passive income from these properties, and the Charleston house was specifically successful as it was used often as a wedding venue. So, dealing with property wasn’t anything new for them, but the biggest problem was that they weren’t Korean citizens nor did they understand the laws surrounding owning property like that in Korea.
This is where Hajoon was a real lifesaver, he knew a good deal about how to go about this. Instead of the complex belonging to Lia and Lyra as personal property, they were able to obtain it using the property management company they had established in the United States for their Charleston property.
The fun part of all of this is that because of the change in management and the sale, many of the tenants had moved out long before the girls came into the picture. Those who had remained through the buying process had turned out to be incredibly kind tenants and many of them had lived in the building for many years.
New lease agreements had to be sent out to those who remained and the girls did all they could to keep the rent the same or even lower it if they could, they also let those who remained know that there would be some renovations taking place as soon as possible.
They had really lucked out with the fact that the top floor of the building had become completely vacant during the process, and to accommodate their large soulgroup they were planning to turn the entire top floor into one large living space. There were six units on each floor of the building, four three-bedroom/two-bath apartments, and two three-bedroom/three-bathroom apartments on every floor of the building.
So to begin with the girls had decided to take two of the three-bedroom apartments and one of the three-bedroom apartments to make one ten-bedroom apartment, plus each of the three-bedroom apartments had a small office. Now, you might be a little lost here because of the sheer amount of luck the girls had in making this possible, they were too. They really handed a lot of the reins over to Hajoon to figure out the layout of the project as he knew what would work the best for the boys and their lifestyles. The few things the girls requested were as follows: one bathtub, one western-style standing shower, at least two refrigerators, a washer, and a dryer.
It was a lot and a lot of money. It really ate into the savings the girls had acquired over the years but their plan was to live and die in this place. Plus Lyra didn’t think she could handle using a drying rack ever again after college. What surprised them was pretty soon after renovations were in full swing and they were again accepting tenant applications was the outreach from several other soulgroups looking to apply for housing. Before they knew it they had a nearly full complex with soulgroups or families of at least 5 people, it was quite the shock. They also were able to retain the same staff as the previous owner employed, with a very strict NDA to sign in their new employment contracts to add some protection to the boys from stalkers or paparazzi.
The most interesting part of it all was that the boys had no idea, and all Hajoon had told them was they would be moving to a new residence to accommodate the new size. They were none the wiser to the fact that the girls owned the building or that they had completely renovated a space for all of them.
“Tell me again why we’re meeting the girls there? Why are they there before us?” Wooyoung was badgering Hajoon with questions about the whole situation and was really annoyed at the fact they had been back in Korea for only 48 hours, had only seen the girls twice as they had to go into the company and do some schedules, plus they had just haphazardly packed up their whole life to move to some random new dorm on the other side of town. He did have to admit it was the fancy part of town but still… he was crabby.
“Because Wooyoung, they are already there and have been since we returned to Korea. They’ve had their own things to handle like their visas and all the soulmate paperwork, you boys got off easy because you had to be at the company all you needed to do this round was sign the paperwork. Plus they had their things shipped here from the otherside of the world and have been working on putting together furniture, being there for final installations, so” Hajoon rattled off as he drove.
“Final installations? What do you mean?” Hongjoong asked from farther back in the SUV, Jonho and Yeosang were also in the back of the car with him while Wooyoung sat in the passenger seat. The other half of their group was in an SUV behind them with Yunho driving.
“You’ll understand when we get there, it’s just a new place.” Hajoon did his best to not tell them anything, he knew the girls wanted everything to be a secret. Silence fell over the car and remained that way until Hajoon pulled their vehicle into the garage attached to the apartment building.
For Lia and Lyra, they were still unpacking. They had made it through all the crap that went into their rooms, their shared office space that was also Lia’s filming set up, and everything for the living room they had and was like 60% of the way through the things that belonged in the kitchen.
There were two main things both of them hated about moving which were packing and unpacking. It was clear to tell that during their packing they had given up as they now were dealing with boxes of random shit intermixed with their kitchen supplies.
The current box they were dealing with had pots and pans as well as some things that were obviously last-minute additions intended to go in a box headed for Lia’s bedroom.
“Oh my god, Lia. Listen, I know you like some weird shit but this paddle…” Lyra didn’t finish her sentence, instead, she just laughed as she held up the bright pink paddle that looked more like a gag gift than a real sex toy. It had the Playboy bunny logo cut out in the middle and meow etched across the pink leather handle.
“I don’t have an answer for that one. I saw it on Amazon and knew I had to have it.” Lia answered straight-faced, “It was under my sink in case anyone went snooping they would think I was a freak and stop looking through my things,” she finished now halfway into another box.
This was when all eight of their other soulmates and one incredibly tired Hajoon came in through the door. Walking into the room they all just saw two piles of boxes, some of their own but most of them belonging to the girls. Lyra, with a bright pink paddle in her hand, and Lia bent over in front of her reaching into a box.
It was very…. suggestive to say the least.
“I thought you two were platonic, this doesn’t look very platonic to me,” Wooyoung was the first to say anything, his hands on his hips like a parent who just found out their child was doing something naughty.
“Hajoon I’m so sorry. I swear this is not what it looks like,” Lyra said as she tossed the paddle across the room as if she was trying to dispose of the evidence. The boys just started laughing, unable to take the situation seriously, Yunho even laughed so hard that he dropped the duffle bag he was carrying. It was that movement that made the girls realize that the boys were carrying the last of their things with them, mostly the last of their clothes in luggage or duffle bags plus their daily essentials like their toiletries.
“I’m going home now, I’ll be back to pick you all up for schedules the day after tomorrow. Please, don’t call me.” Hajoon was joking, well everyone hoped he was joking as the tired man waved as he walked out the door of the apartment.
The boys paused to take their shows off at the door before walking further into their new space all of them with the same confused look on their faces, they knew they would be in a large apartment but this was huge.
“KQ has gone all out huh, how did they afford this? I know we are doing well, but this is like something insane,” Seonghwa said as he walked through the new living room that was somewhat put together with a brand new couch big enough for all of them to fit comfortably, a couple of new tables that matched the new entertainment system that was set up along the back wall.
“KQ didn’t pay for this?” LIa said from her new spot crisscrossed on the floor working on the same box as before, “We bought it once we made the finalized plans to move here, the whole building actually.”
“What?” Several of the boys said at the same time while some others just looked at Lia like she had grown two heads.
“It just ended up making more sense to own and this opportunity came up, it also gave us the chance to have free reign on what we wanted. Come on,” Lia stopped talking to stand from her spot on the floor, “Let’s go on the grand tour,”
The next forty-five minutes were spent with the whole group going through the entire apartment. They were the most excited about the fact that each of them got their own room, and had a space to make a small in-house studio if they wanted in the empty office. The real kicker was their reaction to the kitchen, well the two kitchens combined into one.
“It’s huge, I think I might pass out. Two fridges, this is a dream,” Wooyoung really did look like he might pass out at the sight of the new kitchen.
“Wait until you see the one in the den,” Lyra said as she began toward the other side of the apartment, though calling it an apartment at this point was a little lackluster. Really they should call it a penthouse or their floor, something more true to size.
“Den?” Yunho put his arm around Lyra's waist as he walked up behind her to follow her through the rest of the tour. He wasn’t super familiar with the term, it sounded funny to him in English.
When he saw the set up his jaw dropped, the den was on the far side of their new space. The room was huge and almost all of the walls were lined with shelves. Books filled one whole wall from floor to ceiling with different series and books while the other side was half books and games for all kinds of consoles.
“What?” Yunho asked in Korean, taking in the room, it seemed more personal and geared toward them here. Unlike the living room, they had seen right when they walked in.
“We know you all are gamers, and I have quite the book collection, so…” Lyra shrugged, smiling at the room, personal things like this made it all worth it for her. Seeing parts of all of them coming together, making a home for all of them.
All the boys filtered in and began exploring, most of them looking at the area where they could set up their games and seeing the gaming consoles the girls had brought with them. A switch and an older Xbox 360 were all they had, leaving plenty of room for the boys to set up the ones they brought with them.
“I don’t know this book,” Yeosang said from where he stood looking at the books, noticing different ones on slight display. Some he knew despite the English titles, like Harry Potter and The Lord of The Rings Trilogy, but he hadn’t read this one.
It was displayed in a mixture of poetry and other books.
“I took a deep breath and listened to the old brag of my heart: I am, I am, I am.” Lyra spoke softly and mimicked the thumping of a heart as she spoke the last few words, “That is The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, I love that book. It’s about a woman in college who struggles with her mental health. I read it as a young woman in college struggling with her mental health, it helped me a lot. The ones to the right are the books I wrote my senior thesis about,” Lyra pointed to two books shelved together before shifting to point to the tallest shelf.
“The quote I just said, I used part of it on my graduation cap. To remind myself that I got myself where I was, to feel the beating of my heart not because I was nervous, but because I was proud of myself.” The cap had a background of what looked like pages out of an old book, the entire edge of the cap was lined with fake white pearls. The top and bottom corners were lined with a mixture of pink and white fake flowers that had a thin layer of glitter on them from what Yeosang could see. The English words were clear in the middle of the cap. I am, I am, I am.
The closer Yeosang looked across the shelves of books he noticed that there were books in Korean, poetry, histories, fables, and versions of copies of some of the books from the other side.
“Why did you get the same books in Korean?” Yeosang asked as he picked up a second copy of Peter Pan, this one in Korean.
“I got those so that you all knew that there is something for you all to read, there are some of my favorites and some of Lia’s favorites,” Lyra pointed to the copy of Dracula and tapped the hardback cover he had in his hand, “That is my favorite of all. I fell in love with the idea of Neverland and decided that I would never grow up.”
Yeosang smiled at her words, the girls always seemed to surprise him. He couldn’t think that thought from his head as the night continued. The boys unpacked some of their things, beginning most excited to set up the den with their own games and consoles.
Everyone spread out within their new space trying to get settled, not much could be done for the boys as their new furniture had yet to arrive, only their new mattresses had come. Lia and Lyra were both engrossed once again in the process of unpacking, doing a little here and there.
“Pretty!! I want to see your room!” San was far from quiet as he made his way down the hall toward Lia’s room.
Without much hesitation, San walked into the room of all-white furniture and fake plants. A string of fairy lights was Lia’s current task as she was standing on her bed putting the string up above her headboard.
“It’s not totally done yet, I don’t have my vanity set up yet.” Lia’s words went in one ear and out the other as San focused in on the CDs she had displayed on the wall and beside it the album they belonged to set neatly on several shelves.
“It’s all so cute except for the albums.” San was pouting from behind her Lia could hear it in his voice. Turning over her shoulder to look at him she saw the expression on his face, he was full-on pouting but also glaring at the wall where she had her kpop albums displayed.
“The albums are cute, you’re just mad that I listen to more groups than y’all.” Lia stuck her tongue out at him as she teased her soulmate from across the room.
“I can’t believe my own soulmate is cheating on us with so many others,” San made the motion to wipe away a fake tear from his eye.
“You are so dramatic,” Lia rolled her eyes as she walked over to him and hugged him despite the fact that he had crossed his arms.
“How are you calling me dramatic when you’re the one with Stray Kids, BTS, Seventeen, and NCT on your wall? Do we mean nothing to you?” the fake crying returned at this point as he tipped his head up toward the ceiling playfully.
“Oh no, you don’t get to leave out the fact that Ateez is also on that wall, thank you very much.” Lia pointed to the places where several of their albums were on display. “And at least I didn’t display my lightsticks… yet. Lyra has her up in her room already.”
At Lia’s words, San's eyes went wide before he began to turn to go hunt down his other soulmate who had the audacity to stan other groups.
Lyra, who was unexpectedly folding clothes in her room with Jongho, was surprised when San walked into the room like a bat out of hell.
“You are also a cheater, not even trying to hide it,” San went straight up to one of her bookshelves where she had her albums neatly shelved with her two light sticks on either side as if they were book ends.
“Is this about us being multi-stans again?” Lyra didn’t blink as San picked up her Ahgabong and waved it around as proof.
“How could you, I thought you were ATINY. I thought we were the lights of your lives, I thought you loved us,” San’s volume had attracted a few more of the boys down the hall to the girls' rooms, most notably Hongjoong had come down as well.
Hongjoong was just a little too smug at the conversation happening as he was probably the most unhappy with the fact that the girls were die-hard fans of other groups.
“I mean, by this train of thought I’m cheating on GOT7 with you, not the other way around,” Lyra shrugged, not really bothered by the dramatics of her soulmates.
A gasp left Hongjoong from just inside her bedroom door, before Lia spoke from her spot in the room, “Yeah, I would technically be cheating on Stray Kids with Ateez.”
The was a split second where the boys seemed to make eye contact and even Jongho who really didn’t have a dog in this fight quickly caught on to what was about to happen, so he shifted to the left of Lyra to get out of the way.
Both girls were soon wrapped up by San and Hongjoong respectively as they showered them with aggressive affection as they would call it. The girls were helpless to escape the awful tickling they were receiving until they gave in to the boys' demands to be ATINY first and everything else second.
A few hours later they had all settled and had unpacked as much as they possibly could.
In plain honest truth, they were all clingy, and at some point, someone had suggested they just make a giant pallet on the floor of the den.
It was Lia. Lia suggested the giant pallet on the floor and because the boys had very little willpower when the girls were concerned, they were all lying in a giant puppy pile on the floor. Lia snuggled between Jongho and Yeosang, each of them had their own blankets, unlike the rest of the soulmates who were sharing with each other. Those three were blanket hogs and unashamed to say it.
Lyra had found herself between Wooyoung and San, the three of them under the same blanket. It’s a good thing that Lyra tended to sleep on her back, but she couldn’t move if she wanted to because of the vice grip both her soulmates had on either side of her. They were all chatting quietly while Yunho and Jongho were playing a 1 vs. 1 game on the switch.
Lyra was almost asleep when she heard Lia get up hastily from her spot on the floor, making a bee-line for the bathroom. She had been dealing with some sort of nausea since the flight into Korea. Her immune system had always been trash and all this traveling was finally catching up to Lia were the last thoughts that crossed Lyra's mind as she fell asleep that night.
A/N: Hi friends :) Long time no see, but I am back with the next chapter and the start of the second arch of this story. That being said this is not my favorite chapter tbh and is really nothing more than a filler. I also would like to say here that it will be few and far between for a while until I update again, but I will be doing my best to write and publish many at once.

Chapter V, Chapter VI, Chapter VII, Chapter VIII, Chapter IX. Next
While Lia was getting her world rocked, Lyra was actually going on the date she and Mingi had haphazardly planned.
“Listen, you’re probably the only person I’ve met who hates cream cheese like I do and cream in savory food. It just gives me the ick,” Lyra said across the table to Mingi as they ate their dinner.
Really it had started a little awkward as they were trying to determine where to get food, both of them being not picky but also very attached to their comfort foods. Eventually, they came across a small restaurant that seemed to have a diverse enough menu and seemed private enough that it was comfortable for them.
“Exactly, there is something just gross about food with cream cheese as the base and cream. I like cheese in some things just not as the main thing in a dish,” Mingi said while chewing on a piece of his steak.
“Like we were saying earlier, we are not picky eaters, just not adventurous eaters.” Lyra said to him before giggling as he tried to wink at her across the table, it just ended up with him blinking at her. Their whole night had been like this, honestly since they had started getting ready in their hotel room they had been giggling or making each other laugh. Part of it was they hadn’t spent as much time together as they would have liked and were a bit awkward with each other, the other part was they were quickly finding that they were so similar it was impossible not to laugh.
They just sat there for a while chatting, going back and forth learning about one another, observing the others habits
“I’m sorry i’m eating so slowly, I-”
“You don’t need to apologize, you’re not eating too slow. I’m a fast eater, enjoy your food and take all the time you need or want, Bub.” Mingi just smiled at her as he continued to eat.
“Why do the two of you call me that, actually why do you have a nickname for all of us?” Mingi’s question was more than valid, they really had just been spitting out nicknames for the boys left and right.
“You know, I’m not entirely sure. It’s just something we’ve always done, well Lia started it when we were younger and it became a habit for both of us. It’s how we show some of our love I guess,” Lyra smiled at him and softly began to play with the fingers of his left hand that rested on the table between them.
“I like it, it makes me feel special,” there was something so charming in the way he smiled at her in that moment, it was almost hard to describe. It wasn’t like the sexy grins he would flash on stage, no this was something different. It made Lyra’s heart race and she could feel the heat rushing toward her cheeks.
This was all very different for Lyra, she had never been on a legitimate date before. Nothing like this, at least. Sure she had gone out with people, but there were never any real dates or anything where someone else had shown interest in her.
The waiter came and quietly left the bill on the edge of their table, before walking away to give them their privacy. Lyra reached over to her purse and began to pull out her wallet, she had full intent to pay. By the time she had gotten her card out of her wallet, Mingi was already handing the bill back to the waiter as he passed by the table.
“Uh, excuse me sir, I was going to pay,” Lyra said a little bewildered at how fast he had paid the bill.
“Sorry Doll, but you can’t pay tonight. I asked you on this date, so everything is my treat tonight.” Mingi was incredibly smooth when he wanted to be. In the next few minutes they were on their way out of the small restaurant and on their way to see the Paris nightlife.
The one thing Lyra loved about cities , especially ones as old as Pairs, was being able to walk everywhere and here there was so much history in the stones under their feet that made the nerdy side of Lyra come out just a little more than average. The real struggle was containing the urge to share all of her random ass facts stored away in her brain about Paris.
Lyra was losing the battle with herself pretty majorly as they walked towards the Champ de Mars gardens to sit and watch the Eiffel Tower light up the dark night sky,
“Did you know that it wasn't Marie Antoninette who said the famous quote ‘let them eat cake’ but it actually traces back to Jean-Jacques Rousseau about 24-years before the French revolution when Marie would have been 9 years-old or so.” Lyra was kinda rambling at this point but Mingi just listened with a small smile on his face and grabbed her hand in his as they walked. Mingi had a mask on his face, plus he had worn his glasses and had purposefully chosen some nondescript clothing. He wasn’t trying to hide that he was out on a date, no he really just didn’t want anyone to interrupt them or to take pictures of Lyra without her being able to make that choice.
“How do you remember so much? It’s like the whole world is locked away inside your brain, it’s so cute.”  The mask on his face obstructed Lyra's view of his expressions, but she knew he was smiling from the way his eyes crinkled and the way his entire face lifted with his words.
They kept walking toward the gardens, playfully swinging their intertwined hands between the two of them. Their shoulders brushing against one another from time to time, it was the simple pleasure of just being with each other. It was peaceful to just walk with each other and to have this little romantic moment.
Mingi was even nice enough to place his own jacket on the ground so they could sit and look at the tower before them. It was one thing to see it during the day, but at night it was something completely different. Everything was as if they were two completely different people, no major things hanging over their heads. In this moment they were just two soulmates, together having a romantic date thinking about all the wonderful things they could do in this life with their 8 other partners.
“I was surprised when you asked me on a date earlier,” Lyra let him know as they stared up at the lights.
“Why? I was so nervous, I thought you’d say no,” He had pulled his mask down so they could talk a little more intimately and so they could read each other's facial expressions a bit better.
“I would never say no to a date with any of you, I love spending time with you. Every moment I get to spend with y’all is something I cherish and besides how else would I have figured out we both hate cream based foods.” Lyra laughed as she quickly kissed Mingi cheek and rested her head on his shoulder.
“But why were you surprised that I asked you out?” He asked her again a little more pointed this time.
“I’ve never been asked on a date before, I mean i’ve been on dates but either I had to ask to go on the date or it was more of a ‘lets hang out’ sort of thing,” Lyra said from her spot snuggled into his side
“How is that even possible?” Mingi was truly astonished at what she had just told him, it really made no sense that he was the first person to ever take her out on a date like this.
“Lots of reasons, Lia and I were two total opposites when we were teenages. I was the outcast and she was the popular girl. It’s a wonder we became friends before finding out we were soulmates. I was a very….” Lyra stopped for a minute obviously thinking back to that time in her life, “very weird kid. I liked all the nerdy things and had a very hard time making friends until Lia. I had a couple friends of course, but I was way too awkward so everyone treated me like the little weird kid.”
Lyra’s words hurt his heart a little, he knew what it was like to not be the most liked during school. It was never easy to be treated like that. But he didn’t say anything as she spoke, he just listened as she continued.
“I remember boys used to ask me out as a joke, something that could make all the other kids laugh. Every time it happened I felt a little part of me break and hide somewhere dark. I never felt pretty enough or well liked. I wore a hoodie everyday in highschool, even when it was over a hundred degrees outside. I became mean and harsh to everyone I didn’t consider a friend. I did my best to not be seen and to not see anyone else. I thought I was so ugly, that I would never be worthy of anything. Then Lia came into my life like a goddamn storm as she does anyone's life. Even as only my friend she never let me think for one second that anyone could make me feel less than. Reminded me all the time that I was worthy of anything I wanted and that I was beautiful,” Lyra stopped for a second to laugh a little bit, “I still don’t really buy the beautiful bit, but she changed my life and helped me find those parts I had hidden away. Looking back, I could have been a totally different person in high school if I was just confident in myself.”
Mingi sat, still just watching her. How could anyone, any stupid little boy, think that the person in front of him was anything less than wonderful. He considered himself the luckiest person on the whole earth, each of his soulmates were kind, gorgeous, smart, and they gave themselves so wholly to each other.
“They must be fucking idiots in that town then, because I know I would have had such a crush on you as a kid. Smart and funny, I would have been a fanboy practically. What did teenage Lyra even look like?” Mingi said, trying to lighten the mood and to make sure she knew just how much he wished he could go back a few years and find both of them sooner.
“I think I have my senior picture on my phone. OH! I do have photos of me and Lia from when we went to prom for sure. Let me try and find those,” Lyra said, grabbing her phone and instantly going to her photos app. As She was scrolling she saw that Wooyoung had messaged in their smaller group chat.
Tumblr media
“Oh god, I just saw Woo’s messages. Dear god, I knew she was loud but the whole floor, and sir just for those comments. You ain't getting nothing tonight,” Lyra said playfully to Mingi.
Before long they were scrolling through young pictures of themselves, Mingi showing her ones from their days in high school and as trainees while Lyra showed him the ones from when they were in high school as well as some of the ones of her from college. Listen, nothing beats the outfits from bid day.
“All I’m saying is…. It really looks like a cult from my perspective,” Mingi said as Lyra showed him the ones from her last days as a college student.
“Sir, just no. It’s not,” Lyra laughed as he raised his hands in protest. She knew they would be on their way back to the hotel soon, so that he could get a good rest before the chaos that would be the next couple days before they were traveling again. They had already gotten some photos for the Ateez social media of Mingi in front of the giant building behind them, now they were just stalling. Sure they would still be just the two of them, but it felt like the date would be over in a sense once they left.
“Thank you, for bringing me here and wanting to take a little weirdo like me on a date tonight,” Lyra said as they once again were walking down the history-filled streets of Paris, pretending they were any other couple.
“Thank you Lyra, for saying yes. Yes to coming with me tonight, to all of this. You could’ve run, hell any normal person probably would’ve at the idea of having not one but nine soulmates. On top of that they’re idols and come from a country that is across the world. To jump head first into the idea of being with them and moving to the other side of the world just to be close to them.” Mingi stopped the two of them on the sidewalk so he could look at her face as he spoke, “I don’t think I would’ve if I were the two of you. I would’ve been terrified, hell I was when we first realized that the two of you were in the crowd. I couldn’t stop my mind from racing, the whole concert I just kept looking at the thread spilling over the stage over to the two of you. There was one point where both of you had your hands up and were dancing, you were holding each other's hands. I could see the tether to each of you so clearly. I just wanted to run to the two of you then, I was scared. I’m still scared of the unknown, but we're together and that makes it all okay, Lyra.”
Mingi gently titled her up and kissed her. And they stayed like that kissing and being with one another, so purely for a moment. Then Mingi pulled away and rested his forehead against Lyra’s so sweetly.
That's when they felt the first drops of rain fall against their hair, cold and wet. He pulled her back to him as the rain started to fall harder and kissed her again. It was like a scene from an old Hollywood movie, where the girl and the guy find each other once again against all odds.
After a second they heard a crack of thunder in the distance, turning to see where the lighting was and laughed as they began to sprint toward the hotel now only about a block away.
“Hey,” Mingi called a few steps behind Lyra as they came to take shelter under the entryway of the hotel “Lyra, I love you.”
“I love you, Mingi,” Lyra said as she leaned up to kiss him one more time. Before they entered the hotel and made their way back to their room.
After that night Europe passed by like a fever dream, they were constantly busy and on the move. Lia was still filming the content she needed, Lyra was helping the translator as much as she could, and the boys were so busy it seemed like they barely had time to sleep at night.
Before they knew it, the girls were boring their flight heading for South Korea. The plane that would take them to their new home, new life, all the wonderful and hard times ahead.
A/N: Shorter chapter to finish out our first arch of the story, YAY! Some cutesy fluff to follow the smutty smut of last chapter! Next, we will have another one-shot and then the start of arch two! WOOOOO!!!

Chapter V, Chapter VI, Chapter VII, Chapter VIII, Next
“If I never see another airplane, I think it will still be too soon,” Lia was over being on an airplane, travel was fun but the fatigue that came with being on and off a plane every two or three days was ridiculous.
“I don’t know how the boys do this, I’m barely making it and all I do is translate the questions for their interviews,” Lyra was in the same boat as Lia, if she could just sleep for the next year and take that time to recharge her social battery it would be all good.
The boys were feeling it as well, but this was their life going from city to city, getting up at the crack of dawn for interviews, spending all day practicing or working on various things in progress, giving their all while performing for Atiny that night before hopping on a plane and doing it all again.
“My childhood dream of becoming a rockstar just got crushed because I hate this touring life, I’m not built for this.” Lia was right this lifestyle was very glamorous in theory but not in practice, They were generally homebodies, Lia being an INTP and Lyra an INFP.
After Madrid came to Paris, something the girls were especially looking forward to and getting to experience the city of love.
Okay, that’s total bullshit. The girls just really wanted to eat their way through the city and spend their time in a bread-induced food coma. Wooyoung was doing better, still taking it easy but better. Good enough to participate again in the concerts, but was still advised to take as much rest as he could. The end result? Wooyoung is endlessly being a brat, more than usual.
However, no one really minded as he was injured, and several of them liked taking care of him while he sure enjoyed being taken care of. One thing most of them had in common was some sort of need for attention, a couple of them were rather open when they wanted attention.
Wooyoung and Lia were probably the most vocal about wanting attention, both of them would find a way to get it and fate help you if the two of them decided to seek attention from the same person at the same time. That was the current situation of Lyra as she sat between Lia and Wooyoung who had both decided she was the emotional support soulmate of the hour.
She had brought one of them chocolate and the other one an iced americano, which obviously meant she was the woman of the hour. Lyra didn’t mind much as they were currently deciding who would sleep where while in ‘The City of Love.’
The boys had decided that they were going to play the ladder game in order to figure out who would sleep where, and most importantly who would be sleeping in the rooms with a single bed.
As always their room breakdown was a bit odd, the boys had booked these rooms months in advance then the girls came along and had to try to get something in the same place much later.
So they ended up separated into four rooms, the three original rooms the boys had booked - two with two queen-sized beds, and one with a single king-sized bed - and the one room the girls had booked with a single king-sized bed. The only person who had preferential treatment was Wooyoung, due to his injury they had all decided to let him have a bed to himself.
“Ah sh-” a swift hand came to pop San on the back of his neck as his sleeping place for the night was decided.
“What your mouth,” Seonghwa scolded him despite the fact that everyone cursed like a sailor.
“I wanted a bed to myself,” San was pouting at the fact that he and Yeosang were now going to share a bed for the next several nights.
“I don’t want to hear it, I’m sharing also and i’m not complaining so suck it up,” Mother was mothering again but he wouldn’t be one to complain as he was quite pleased with his sleeping arrangement thus far.
“Yah! YOU GET TO SHARE WITH LIA IN A KING-SIZED BED IN A ROOM WITH NO ONE ELSE THERE, OF COURSE, YOU WOULDN’T COMPLAIN,” San had been the one to hype the game and now obviously was regretting his life choices as he hadn’t gotten a bed to himself.
“Such a pouty baby,” It hadn’t taken Lia long to be on the San is a cat train and now she couldn’t unsee it, especially when he was pouting like this.
San looked like he was about to say something back in response when the game finished up and the rooms were all distributed for the next several days. Yunho and Jongho were all too proud to have beds to themselves in one of the rooms with two beds, Yeosang and San would share a bed in a room with Wooyoung who occupied the other bed.
San was starting to accept his shared room especially now that Yeosang had come over and started giving him some attention to lighten his grumpy mood. Beyond that everyone knew some variation of those three would have ended up in each other's beds regardless, they were like glue most days and tended to find each other.
They were all soulmates and had that special connection to each other, still, they formed other relationships within the group and had people they gravitated toward more often.  It actually happened the most naturally by age as the two oldest seemed to pair up, while if the ones born in ‘99 aren’t in one big group they’re in some variation of it, and as it had turned out the three born in 2000 had become a trio rather fast bonding through some shared humor and other traits.
Honestly, it came from them teasing everyone else that they were old, in some way it all worked out. None of them really felt awkward or left out at any point as they just felt comfortable with each other.
Hongjoong, Seonghwa, and Lia had all ended up in one of the rooms with a king-sized bed, which was a tight squeeze but none of them really minded. Then there was Mingi and Lyra in the other king-sized bed across the hall.
They had moved out to settle into their new sleeping arrangements before having the night to do what they pleased in Paris, with Hajoons warning to stay out of trouble and to not do anything that would get them hurt.
“Lyra,” Mingi grabbed her gently by the arm, stopping her as they made their way to their room
“Yeah? Whats up” Lyra had to tilt her head up at him to fully see his face and more importantly see his eyes. All of the boys had beautiful dark eyes, he was no exception. When the boys didn’t have any schedules, he would often wear glasses rather than his contacts and that was one of Lyra’s favorite things in the whole world.
“Since we have the night to ourselves would you like to go on a date with me?” Mingi had obviously rehearsed what he was going to say and even seemed nervous to ask.
“A date? You want to go on a date with … me?” She was more surprised than anything and this seemed to make Mingi even more nervous at her lack of an answer.
“Uhh… Yes. I want to go on a date with you tonight,”
“Okay, Bub. I will absolutely go on a date with you tonight,” the smile crept onto Lyra’s face before the two of them made their way to their room further down the hall.
Lia, Seonghwa, and Hongjoong were a few steps behind them making their way to their own room across from theirs. The three of them were slightly listening in and watching the interaction happening in front of them.
As they entered their room, Seonghwa set his and Lia’s bag down and turned to his two soulmates who were near the entrance of the room, “ In the spirit of the city, should we go on a date? The three of us?”
“Hmmmm, I wouldn’t mind going on a date as long as we avoid eating snails for dinner,” Lia answered Seonghwa making her way over to him before wrapping him in a hug from behind and resting her head between his shoulder blades.
“I think I would eat leafy greens before I eat snails, but I’d love to go on a date with the two of you. Go see the town, get a sense for true Paris fashion,” Hongjoong said in a joking manner as he came over to the duo and set his luggage next to theirs before also joining in the hug.
“Don’t like physical affection my ass,” Lia said toward Hongjoong before giving him a quick peck on the cheek and grabbing her carry-on from its spot on the floor.
“I like it when I start it,” the leader stuck his tongue out at her as he removed himself from Seonghwa and started on unpacking his things. Seonghwa only smiled at their antics before grabbing his bag and deciding to follow suit.
“I will leave the fine detail planning to you two cause i’m going to take a long hot shower. I feel gross from the plane and honestly, I haven’t washed my hair in like four days and that’s not hot date core,” LIa gathered a few of her things before heading toward the bathroom to shower.
Seonghwa, still in full unpacking mode, had made his way through everything in his carry-on that needed to be unpacked and decided that he would be sweet and help Lia unpack hers as well.
Her suitcase was extremely organized considering the amount of clothes she had in the bag. Everything was in neat little packing cubes and was separated by articles of clothing. Seonghwa found it very easy to take all her clean clothes out and put them into the proper place in the drawers provided in the hotel room.
As Seonghwa took the last packing cube out of her bag, he noticed her toiletry bag was still open from where Lia had taken out her things to shower. Now listen, Seonghwa knows and respects all his soulmates' boundaries but he is a curious creature. He picked the bag up and had full intentions of just zipping it up before placing it on the counter.
Then an orange medicine bottle fell out. At first, he wasn’t concerned with the bottle and neither was Hongjoong who just glanced over at the sound before returning to whatever he was working on at the small table in the corner of the room. He thought maybe it was her birth control or something like that.
Grabbing the bottle from the floor he opened the smaller bag to put the bottle back when he saw the label of the bottle. Seonghwa wasn’t awful at English by any standards, but he couldn’t fully understand the label. The one thing he did recognize, however, was the name of the medication inside the bottle.
It was medication to help stop the symptoms of soul sickness. Lia had been soul-sick in the few weeks they had been apart from the date on the bottle.
“Hongjoong-ah, will you come look at this?” Seonghwa called over in Korean, wanting a second pair of eyes on the medicine bottle. He half hoped Hongjoong would come over and laugh, tell him he was freaking out for nothing and that this wasn’t what he thought it was.
“What is it? Why are you glaring at a medicine bottle?” Hongjoong walked and turned his head to get a better look at the bottle in his hand. It took him a few seconds before taking the bottle from Seonghwa to inspect it and get a closer look, Hongjoong’s expression turning darker by the second.
“She’s soul sick? Why didn’t they tell us something was wrong, I don’t understand?” As Hongjoong voiced his concerns they heard the shower cut off and Lia started finishing up in the bathroom.
“I don’t know, really, I don’t know why Lia wouldn’t say anything about being sick. Especially sick enough to need medication like this,” Seonghwa had valid concerns, it was hard to get medication like this unless it was a serious case of soul sickness.
“Y’all the shower is insane, like I expected the water pressure to be awful. I was clearly wrong, I think my skin is going to be pink for the next hour at least,” Lia walked out of the bathroom, pink-faced, with wet hair, in a t-shirt and spandex. The hair dryer in her hand gave away that she was about to start getting ready for the small date they had planned.
“Uh? What’s with the meeting of the minds here?” Lia was a little taken aback by the serious expressions she was receiving from the two older men. She looked a little closer at them, noticing her med bag in one of Seonghwa’s hands and her soul-sickness meds in one of Hongjoong's hands.
“What is this?” Hongjoong tried to not be aggressive with his approach, but his clipped tone betrayed him.
“Excuse me?” Lia cocked her head at the two of them, “Are the two of you going through my things? I don’t know how big you think your balls are to snoop through my shit, but I promise mine are bigger.” Lia wasn’t one to back down in these types of situations, she really didn’t care if they went through her bags but they should have asked her first. She had had enough boyfriends who didn’t respect her privacy and she would be damned if her soulmates thought they could act the same.
“Yah!” Seonghwa raised his voice slightly at the acquisition, “I picked up the bag to put it on the counter and it fell out. Why do you have soul sickness medication?”
“How we found it is not important, are you sick? Why wouldn’t you tell us if you’re sick?” Hongjoong was just as aggravated at the situation. They weren’t mad, no they were scared. Scared that she was hurting and they didn’t know that she was in pain and they couldn’t do anything to fix it. But it all came out as anger and frustration.
“Why I have that medication is none of your business. That is a personal matter and I have handled it, thank you very much,” Lia was pissed as she snatched the bottle from Hongjoong’s palm, and turned her back to them as she went to find her phone.
“Not our business?” Seonghwa had enough at that moment and walked over to Lia to make sure he had her full attention.
“Everything about you is my business,” Seonghwa’s hands went to the wall beside Lia’s head, caging her in, she could look nowhere but at him.
“You’re my soulmate, just like Lyra, Hongjoong, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho are my soulmate. Everything you do and anything about you is my business, from the last time you sneezed to when you need a tire changed. My business just like everything about me is your business now. So pretty girl, you’re going to tell us why you needed these pills and if you’re okay. Right. Now.”
Part of Lia wanted to be pissed that he was talking to her this way, that he was being so possessive over her, over all of them really. The other larger part of Lia found his possessiveness so attractive. She craved having someone so invested in her that they would get so worked up over the small things like this, maybe that was the daddy issues rearing their ugly head again.
“I got sick while we were apart, I collapsed and had to go to the hospital. I started doing better after I started taking the medicine and I haven’t even had a headache since landing in Madrid. I made the choice that we shouldn’t tell you all because I didn’t want to worry all of you besides we were on two opposite sides of the world. I knew we would be back together soon, so I just waited.” Lia didn’t shy away from him, she kept eye contact as she explained her reasoning. Fully planning how she was going to bitch him out for this before sucking his dick for how hot this was.
“You should have told us the moment you started feeling sick at all. I don’t care if we were in Korea at the time, we would have dropped everything to make sure you were okay.” Hongjoong spoke as he came to stand right behind one of Seonghwa’s shoulders, obviously just as in control of the situation. That serious expression etched on his features still.
“That’s exactly why we couldn’t tell you. Yes, we are soulmates, all of us, but it would be irresponsible for us to put you all in a situation where you have to drop everything. We were able to handle it and manage until we were all together again. Don’t make a mountain out of a molehill, it’s not that important.” Lia was being blunt in her words now, trying to make clear the respect behind the choice. They hadn’t done it just for shits and giggles, they respected their lives and how hard the boys work.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ LIKE PURE SMUT UNDER THIS LOOK FOR ~ TO KNOW WHEN SAFE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Did you just forget what I told you? Everything about you is our business, everything. I don’t care if you stub your toe and we are not there. Fucking call us and tell us or something.” Seonghwa’s facade was cracking a little as pure anxiety seeped from his body language. It clicked for Lia just how bad this had made them feel, to find out after the fact that someone so dear to you had been so sick they needed soul sickness medication.
“I’m not sorry. You mean the world to me and I know how much you all already have on your plate. I refuse to add onto that with something as dramatic as this, it was handled in less than a day.” Lia let them know as everyone could feel the tension still rising in the room.
“If something happened to you, to any of you, I don’t know what I would do. Do you understand?” Was Seonghwa’s statement a little unhinged and borderline toxic, yes. Did Lia love it, also yes.
“I understand, but you have to understand that I will put you all first as well. I’m an adult and I can call my own shots, got it?” She wasn’t angry anymore but needed to be sure they got the memo
“Got it,” Hongjoong said as he pulled Lia gently from the barriers that were Seonghwas’s forearms before pulling her into a heated kiss. His hand grabbed a fist full of her hair at the base of her head to help guide her.
She could feel Seonghwa turn and stand behind her, his hands going to her waist and his lips finding her exposed neck.
“I think we're going to have to show you just how much of our business you really are. So you have a few options, we call a soulgroup meeting and go public by the end of the night, making sure no one can question that we belong to each other or the three of us can forgo our little date scheduled for the night. Spend all evening here and leave our mark on any piece of exposed skin we can find.”
Hongjoong's words were laced with his desire and lust, but Lia knew he would keep to his word on whichever she said. She also knew that while they weren’t technically hiding anything, their entire lives would be in even more upheaval if they just came out with it. Everyone would be put in a bind and she didn’t want to be the reason why, plus she really really really wanted the two of them to dick her down like tomorrow wasn’t coming.
“You two better fuck me into this matress or I’ll be worse than Wooyoung has been since Midrid.”
The next thing Lia knew her back was against the mattress and Hongjoong was hovering above her, one hand holding himself up the other under her chin making her extend her neck. His mouth was attached to the base of her neck, she could feel him sucking and his teeth scraping against her skin.
This wasn’t sweet or gentle, no this was raw and was sending a message. She belonged to them and they belonged to her.
“Strip. I don’t want anything between us,” Hongjoong leaned up to remove his own clothing as he told Lia to do the same. She made quick work of her t-shirt but apparently wasn’t fast enough to get her shorts off as Hongjoong smacked her hands away and dragged the spandex off her legs himself.
Lia jumped slightly as she felt his finger graze her folds before finding her clit. She brought one hand to her mouth, trying to cover her moans as Hongjoong’s finger worked their magic and his mouth went to her pierced nipples.
“When are you girls going to learn,” Seonghwa said, now sitting at the table in the corner of the room, watching the interaction. The bulge in his pants was an obvious clue to just how much he was enjoying the show.  “We want to hear every sweet little sound you have to offer, so take your hand away from your mouth or I’ll find something to strap them down with, are we clear Pretty?”
Lia removed her hand and turned to look at Seonghwa before nodding to him. “Now you know that isn’t how you answer someone's question Pretty, what do you say?” Hongjoong said as he began to change their position, hiking one of her legs onto his hip, his face hovering over hers and his lips brushing against her ear.
“I’ll keep my hand out of my mouth, Sir,” Lia was still making eye contact with Seonghwa, and Hongjoong's new position didn’t allow her to turn her head in any other direction.
“Good girl,” the two men spoke in almost perfect unison. Hongjoong dipped his head down once more, this time biting harder into her neck than he had previously. Everyone would know just what had happened and the thought of that alone made Lia feel like she could cum.
Desperate for more stimulation than Hongjoong’s fingers on her clit, Lia began grinding her hips back and forth catching his hips due to their position. Both of his hands went to her hips, stopping her with his tight grasp.
“You want me to fuck you into this mattress, huh?” Hongjoong almost looked feral, his eyes blown with lust and his lips damn near bruised from his aggressive biting.
“Yes, please fuck me,” Lia cried out into the room
“Please fuck me who?” Hongjoong couldn’t help but tease his soulmate as she was so desperate under his, her whole body crying out for his touch. Unable to resist he bent his neck and pulled one of her nipples, piercing and all quickly through his teeth.
“Please fuck me Captain,” Lia let out her response, damn near screaming as she did so. Hongjoong gave no warning as he thrust into her wet pussy. He was pounding into her, fast and hard as if he could leave a lasting imprint of his cock in her cervix.
Lia couldn’t really think straight, her brain was overtaken by the rhythm that Hongjoong was pounding into her. She couldn’t stop the sounds that escaped her, the moans matching the thrusts of Hongjoong's hips.
In hindsight, she did feel bad for whoever their neighbors were in this hotel, but at that moment she was having the time of her life. Her hands had found her there way into Hongjoong's hair and she was sloppily thrusting up to meet his hips. She could feel an orgasm building as Hongjoongs cock hit her G-spot over and over. She nearly lost it all when his mouth went back down to restart their nipping and biting on her chest.
“Those nice little purple bars really do make your nipples sensitive huh, Pretty?” Seonghwa’s voice from the other side of the room, the teasing nature of his tone, and the sheer dominance coming from the two men sent her over the edge for her first orgasm of the night.
“Yes, sir! My piercings make everything so much more sensitive, oh god,” Lia did her best to answer Seonghwa as she let her orgasm wash over her. Seonghwa stood from his seat and paced toward the bed, he was like a predator stalking his prey.
He came to stand just behind Hongjoong, who was lost in the chase for his own pleasure. Lia could only hear little bits of what he was saying as he whispered into Hongjoong's ear.
“I bet she feels like heaven, hmmm?” Seonghwa whispered in Korean into Hongjoong’s ear “So wet and warm, tight,” His voice trailed off for a second as his hands made their way around Hongjoong's body, finding their way his his hardened nipples.
“Ah fuck,” Hongjoong let out his words like a prayer as his movements became more erratic as Seonghwa pinched and pulled at his chest. He was so close to cuming he could feel the precum leaking from his tip into Lia’s tight wet cunt.
“Ah ah ah,” Seonghwa grabbed onto Hongjoong's hips, making him go still. “We don’t want anything to happen too fast now do we?” It was like a game of cat and mouse where Hongjoong was the mouse and Seonghwa the cat.
Lia was watching the interaction from below Hongjoong, and she didn’t think it was possible for her to become even more turned on but there was something so erotic about seeing Seonghwa control the entire situation.
Slowly, she could see and feel Seonhwa guiding Hongjoong's hips. At an almost agonizingly slow pace, Seonghwa used his grip on the leader's waist to fuck him into Lia. Desperately Lia began thrusting a little harder to meet his cock. Hongjoong couldn’t help it any longer, his moans were desperate and needy as he came into Lia. He pulled his hip back just enough that his last bit of cum leaked out all over her pussy making a right mess of things.
“Now look what you’ve done to our Pretty, such a mess,” Seonghwa’s hand reached down and stroked Hongjoong’s cock a few times to make sure he was completely finished and to overstimulate the man just slightly.
“Ahh,” Hongjoong let out as Seonghwa’s fingers grazed his sensitive tip, “You’ll clean up behind me, Hwa. You always do.”
The two of them moved, Lia still lying on the bed, her eyes glazed over from the experience she had just had with Hongjoong. She turned her head just slightly to see the Matz locked in a heated kiss as Hongjoong helped Seonghwa strip out of his clothes.
She leaned her head back against her pillow for just a second, trying to get her bearings just a little when she felt strong hands grasp her waist. Before she could look up and see who was standing at the edge of the bed she was flipped, the hands at her waist bringing her into the classic face first into the pillows, ass up pose.
“See what a mess you made? All over our pussy? You know I can’t stand a mess,” Lia could feel Seonghwa’s warm breath against her folds as he spoke and she let out a squeal when his lips met her pussy.
This obviously wasn’t his first time doing this, Lia wasn’t complaining in the slightest. His tongue was long and lapped at her with long strokes. It took her a second to realize what he was doing, but the second his mouth came to suck the little bit of cum off of her inner thigh.
He had been true to his word and had cleaned up Hongjoong’s mess. In an instant, Seonghwa stood and gave a stinging smack to Lia’s now sensitive and swollen pussy. Then he grabbed Hongjoong's face in his hand, bringing the other man in once again for a heated kiss. It wouldn’t take a genius to realize that during that kiss Seonghwa had transferred the cum he had just sucked out of Lia into Hongjoongs ready and waiting mouth.
Lia was in bliss when Seonghwa once again came to stand behind her, this time pulling her up so that her back rested against his front. One of his hands went to her throat tilting her head up just enough for Hongjoong to step over to them and capture her lips in a kiss much like Seonghwa had done to him.
She could feel him passing what was left of his own cum into her mouth, still warm from both her body and his. It was bitter and salty as any cum would be, but to Lia, it was like ambrosia.
“Swallow it, Pretty,” Seonghwa spoke from behind her, his hard cock pressing into the small of her back.
With an audible gulp, she swallowed everything in her mouth and Seonghwa bent her forward once again before ramming into her swollen cunt.
Lia, still sensitive from Hongjoong and from Seonghwa’s mouth, felt her eye roll to the back of her head as an orgasm washed over her after only a few thrusts from Seonghwa. She rode out her high, but even then it felt as though she was having an out-of-body experience.
She felt like she was floating in pleasure, Seonghwa’s thrust sending her into a state of overstimulation. Her moans turned into cries as he thrust harder into her. Lia buried her face into the pillows in front of her and grabbed a fist full of the bed sheets as she thrust back against his hips.
Seonghwa saw just how fucked out Lia was becoming and couldn’t help but chuckle. Both of his girls were so responsive to him – all of them really. Even as she still tried to muffle her cries, he could still hear her pleasure leaving her mouth. The only sound that was near as loud was the sound of skin smacking on the skin as he thrust into her, watching her plump ass jiggle with each movement. If he were a better man he would have resisted the urge to leave a large red handprint on her pretty ass, but he wasn’t. No, he was a sinner and wanted to see his mark on her skin as much as Hongjoong had.
The sting of his palm against her ass was all it took for Lia to spiral into another orgasm, she swore she had died and ended up in some sort of blissful afterlife. Her back arched and her walls clenched around Seonghwa hard, triggering his own orgasm.
She could feel his hot cum filling her, and one hand stroking her back while another was petting her hair. After a second she realized that someone was speaking to her, asking if she was alright.
“Pretty? Are you okay?” It was Hongjoong to the left of her, it was his hand in her hair while Seonghwa was stroking her back. “Lia, are you okay? Was this all too much?” He asked her again his face coming into view as he crochet down beside her.
“I’m perfect Hongjoongie, absolutely filled and I love it,” even Lia’s voice sounded raw and fucked out as she spoke. Her response and blissful expression caused the two men in the room to chuckle.
She felt cold as Seonghwa moved from his spot behind her and then she heard water running in the bathroom. Hongjoong helped her sit on the edge of the bed, using a damp washcloth to wipe the sweat from her face.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“You’re so beautiful, like an angel sent to us from some other world,” Hongjoong said before planting a sweet kiss on her lips.
“No, I think it’s quite the opposite actually. All of you came into our lives, seeing us, and treating us with a kindness we have never known outside of each other. You find all of the weird little things cute and funny, you don’t hate us just because you can.” Lia stopped her sentence and placed a few small kisses on Hongjoong's still-naked shoulder before continuing, “I should have told you, but I know how thin you’re all already stretched. If it had been anything worse, I promise we would’ve let you know.”
Lia tucked her head into his shoulder relishing in his soothing touch as he rubbed her back, his hand stroking her spine.
“Come on you two, I think this big ass bathtub can hold the three of us,” Seonghwa said from the door of the bathroom, and with a little strategic maneuvering they indeed did all fit into the bathtub.
A few hours later they all lay cuddled together in bed watching videos on Lia’s phone, Honestly, Markiplier was a top-tier post-sex watch.
“Lia, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to yell or get upset with you.” Seonghwa started from his position on the left. “I don’t know what I would do if something happened to you, I want every piece of you to be safe and with me as much as you can be. ..” His words trailed off for a second and he took a deep breath looking at both of his soulmates, safe and sound in a bed with him. It was near perfect, the only change he would make was for all ten of them to be here and together. But there would never be a bed big enough for that.
“I love you, Lia.” His words hung in the air for a second. Lia was a bit stunned at his confession, she hadn’t expected him to feel this way just yet.
“I love you, too Lia.” Hongjoong said from the other side of her, his expression just as intense and it made sense for her in that moment. They weren’t perfect people, no they were far from it. They were awkward at times and came from a country that was very different than her own. Their culture and habits were nearly the opposite of one another.
None of that mattered, not when they were all together. When they could lean on one another for strength, learn from each other, and grow as people. To grow as soulmates, sure it may be a bit small-minded but they just needed each other to be happy. As long as she had all nine of her soulmates, that's what was important.
The world could burn, and everything could crumble under her fingertips. They could be stuck living in a dumpster with no lid for the rest of their lives, like the feral raccoons they were deep down and it would be alright. They could be feral raccoons together.
“I love you, both of you.” She smiled at the two beside her and gave both of them a kiss before bursting out laughing at the screams coming from her phone as Mark died while playing his game.
She couldn’t stop the warm and happy feeling from seeping deep into her heart as she was surrounded by ones who loved her. But she couldn’t let them have true peace, that was just not something she would allow.
“Now that I know you’re both in this shit for life, would you still love me if I were a raccoon and lived in a dumpster without a lid?” Lia asked nobody in particular
“Actually, would you choose to be raccoons with me in a dumpster with no lid?” They really would have no peace with Lia and that’s exactly how they liked it. Everything was a little chaotic and all over the place, but that was perfect.
A/N: Hi, its been like two/three weeks since I last updated. To make it up to you all here is some like absolute filth, hope you enjoyed. Also, lets be clear none of what happened in that fight was really healthy, but the point is to see the flaws in the realtionship and that they're working toward better. Plus its a fanfic so ya know the classic shitty behavior is there. As I am super curious, do you guys have a preference between Lia and Lyra? Do you want to see either of them do something specific (or someone ;))

The Red String of Faith - Chapter VIII
Idol!AteezXOCs Soulmates!ot8AteezXOCs OCXOC Slight Social Media AU!
slight twigger warnings: Drinking in this chapter, talking about extreme poverty, Polyamory, group of 10, two OC's -feel free to replace one OC with yourself if you'd like- , listen this is an idea me and my best friend had and is something for fun read at own risk, not edited as always, also we are starting to explore themes such as bxb and gxg if thats not for you, this story may not be for you. Also, this chpater had hurt Wooyoung cause it's the Madrid concerts.
Chapter V, Chapter VI, Chapter VII, Next
The entire soulgroup spent the rest of the afternoon and late into the night just relishing the fact that they were in each other's presence again. The real problem all of them were facing was some serious jetlag, the girls were about six hours ahead of their normal time while the boys were about seven hours behind.
To put it lightly, they were all very tired and struggling to stay awake by midnight. As much as they would swear that the reason they stayed up was to put themselves on the right schedule, that is a blatant lie. They didn’t go to bed because they were 1, way too excited to see each other again 2, catching up on everything they hadn’t spoken about on the phone, and 3, drinking.
Also, Seonghwa was pouting but that was just because the girls brought him his birthday gift to Madrid rather than sending it to him like they did Yunho. His Toothless stuffy was decked out in Jedi robes, a voice recording in its paw, and sprayed with the girls' perfume.
They were sprawled out in the living area, the girls had somehow both ended up on the floor Lia sitting against the bottom of a chair with Yeosang behind her, somewhat drunkenly playing with her hair while Lyra was against Yunho’s knees just to the left of the Lia. Across from Lyra was Jungho who had also opted to sit on the floor once they started taking shots.
Dear reader, please note that Jongho and Lyra very much care for each other. They’re soulmates and their connection is unbreakable, but the two of them refuse to show the other mercy in what turned into a shot-for-shot competition.
“My money is on Jongho, he holds his liquor the best and enjoys drinking,” Wooyoung said while leaning down to Lia’s level only to have the girl actually laugh at him. She was laughing at him with her whole chest.
“If it was anyone else, I would be on the same page as you. Lyra is going to win, every single time.” Lia was very sure of her words and lost all sense of volume when drunk so she was practically shouting she was so loud.
At her words everyone, except the two on their ninth shot in a row, turned to look at her with questioning glances.
“Why would you say that?” Hongjoong didn’t know if he was impressed or very concerned at the fact that Lyra didn’t even seem more than a little buzzed after two drinks and a total of thirteen shots of straight vodka counting the few she had when they opened the bottle.
“Y’all know she went to college, right? In the deep south? That says enough on its own” That obviously went over all of the boys' heads as even Jungho gave her a questioning look after that comment. “Okay… what does that mean?” San was a tired drunk but Lia’s confusing words made his brain work overtime trying to understand what she could possibly mean.
Finally, Lyra - who to be fair was a little drunk - began to explain what Lia was trying to get at. “I was a sorority girl in college, so I did my fair share of drinking and partying at sketchy places.”
“ A sororrr-” Wooyoung stopped himself and thought about the word while a deep frown came over his face, “that word is hard, what does it mean?”
“SHE WAS IN A CULT!” Lia threw her hand into the air with her proclamation causing Seonghwa to gasp in concern and Lyra to giggle before taking her next shot.
“It’s not a cult, umm the best way to describe it in a general way is a womens’ based organization for college girls, there are fraternities which are the men’s equivalent. Pretty much a lot of meetings, lot of interacting with people, and suffering but telling yourself it's okay because you love the people you’re suffering with. Oh, and drinking a decent amount of drinking just at nothing official.”
“Sounds like a very odd cult.” Hongjoong said affirming Lia’s words from earlier, the rest of the boys nodding along with him.
Lyra kinda gave in and understood the logic, she just gave them a shrug, “You get a lot of useful skills from it, social skills and other things that come from organizations and other crap like that. There is also something fun about knowing all the secret things that go on, I'm a sucker for dramatics.”
At that, the boys moved on again as they had made it to the bottom of the bottle of Vodka and took it as the sign to slowly start sobering up before going to bed. They had made their way from one topic to the next, the mood shifted from chaotic to somber as they got deeper and deeper.
“I don’t know what I expected out of life, I had a lot of things I loved as a child. I’m happy I ended up here, doing this and being with all of you,” Jongho’s words got a lot of cooing from his soulmates and Seonghwa even kissed the top of his head from behind him.
“I get what you mean, everyone always talks about their hopes and dreams as a child but I never had that. Even as I got older, I didn’t have a strong desire to be anything specific, my only goal was to have something. Do something to make enough money to live comfortably.” Lia said, looking at nothing in particular.
“Yeah, I just wanted to be able to get out of our hometown. Have enough money to eat every night, to never have one of those dry goods boxes from the school show up in front of the door again.” Lyra said to Lia who knew exactly what she was talking about, it was one of the things that bothered the boys sometimes. That they hadn’t been there to stop bad things from happening to the girls.
“A box?” Yunho didn’t exactly understand, he had heard her but the alcohol and the English were getting to him, he had been slipping in and out of Korean all night. They were all a little too drunk to notice both girls were keeping up with them as best they could as they switched between languages, having worked hard to be able to speak the basics in the past two months.
“A dry good box, stuff that my family could eat and was shelf stable for a long time. There were times my family couldn’t afford a lot of food, there were a lot of us and my dad couldn’t work so money was always tight. Sometimes the food wasn’t great, but it was better than the night when we didn’t have any food.”
It was quiet after that, Lia wasn’t a stranger to the level of poverty Lyra experienced as she had grown up with it herself. Everyone in their town had grown up in some level of poverty. Most people in their town fell to heavy drugs at some point, it’s a cycle that thrives in impoverished areas.
“Do you remember the trailer I grew up in?” Lyra nodded her head to Lia’s question, the boys a little lost. “Sometimes, I still wake up and have that moment where I think I have to be really careful when moving around because I forget that the floor isn’t caving in on itself. The floor of my childhood bedroom and the whole trailer really was falling apart.”
“Oh, I-” Yunho's lip quivered slightly, tears had come to his eyes as she had explained more. Times hadn’t always been great for them either, but the thought of one of his soulmates going hungry hurt.
A quick sob left him and Lyra leaned up to look at him before turning to be face-to-face with him. He was crying because she had suffered like that, but she was the one comforting him, and that only made him want to cry more.
“Don’t cry baby, please don’t cry over that. It was a long time ago, we’re okay now. “ Lyra was holding him at this point, the other boys also were a little emotional at the new information. It seemed as though as they learned more and more about the girls, the more they wanted to hide them from all the awful things that had already happened to them.
They couldn’t change the past, the girls couldn’t take away the things that had happened to them as trainees and rookies from a small company in an industry that is dominated by those who have the most money to make an extravagant show. The boys couldn’t change the circumstances the girls grew up in. Yet, the most beautiful part of it all was they were only able to find each other because they had kept going. Fate is funny, not everyone finds their soulmate but everyone has at least one out there. There is a level of free will that comes into play, you have to experience life to find them.
The group stayed like that for a while, Lyra comforting Yunho and Jongho had moved to lay his head in Lia’s lap in an affectionate way. Everyone else was piled on the furniture and soon enough they were fighting sleep.
Considering how drunk a couple of them were (I.e. San, Hongjoong, and Seonghwa) it was time for them to crawl into their beds. Lia was sleeping with Mingi and San while Lyra was with Jongho and Yunho in the same room. Yeosang and Seonghwa took up one of the beds in the other room while Wooyoung and Hongjoong took the other.
It was perhaps a very bad idea for them to drink so much, as they all regretted it the next morning while the boys were practicing for the show.
Lyra had gone to speak with the translator she would be helping through the European leg to see if it would be a good fit while Lia just watched them as they were marking some songs and doing some run-throughs of their songs.
Lia was the first one to catch that something was off with Wooyoung. He was moving stiffly and kept twisting as if he were trying to crack his back to bring him some relief.
It was a few minutes after that started when he let out a pained noise after dancing one move particularly hard.
“Oh my god,” Lia felt relatively helpless at this moment, she had been watching with a couple of staff members from the empty seats when he cried out. In an instant, the boys had gone to him from their positions, and a plethora of the staff that had been backstage.
They surrounded him to the point that Lia couldn’t even see him, nor could she hear what was going on. It was then she made her way to the back parts of the arena, her staff lanyard let her move easily through all areas of the building.
By the time she made it to the dressing rooms, Lyra was there and pacing as they both waited for the boys to come backstage.
“Nononono, I’m okay Hyung. It’ll be okay for the show, I’ve just got to rest my back some and I’ll be good to go,” Wooyoung was pleading with Hongjoong who was helping him back to the waiting room. “We won’t make a decision right now, we will talk with Hajoon hyung about it closer to the show.” Hongjoong was stern but also incredibly gentle in his tone of voice.
“Don’t worry about that right now, please just let us get you to a spot where you can lay down and get you something for the pain,” Lia was trying her best to contain her worry but she hated not being able to do much more than pamper him at this moment. She was scrambling to set up the small couch in a way that would help take pressure off his back.
Despite being in so much pain, Wooyoung didn’t let Lia’s use of Korean at that moment go unnoticed, “Did you just say that to me in Korean?”
Lyra had found a medical kit somewhere among all the things the staff had, they didn’t have an on-staff doctor, just a few staff with medical experience and the bag Lyra was now rummaging through for some sort of painkiller.
She tossed some generic painkillers to Lia before being dragged back over to where the translator was to look over some of the Spanish for the night's show.
“Yes, we’ve been practicing and I know it’s really bad right now.” She spoke in Korean again as she took out some pills and grabbed him a bottle of water from the counter, “Here take these, and tell me if you need anything,” she switched back to English at this point while still trying to find a couple things to make him feel more comfortable.
The rest of the boys were also moving around the back now, trying to figure out what the situation would be and taking care of other little things that needed to be done before the show.
“I don’t understand why y’all don’t have a blanket somewhere around her, all these damn bags and not a single blanket for me to tuck you in with,” Lia was speaking to no one specifically, just talking while looking for other things to make Wooyoung feel better.
“Cute,” Wooyoung was definitely in some serious pain as that was all he could muster as he tried to shift to make it feel better as he waited for the medicine to kick in.
By the time they were about to start the show, he swore up and down it was better. Good enough that he could go on with the show and worry about it after.
This was a lie, he was not better and did not make it through the show. There was nothing more heartbreaking than the sight of Wooyoung having to leave the stage mid-performance. He was in tears, some may assume from the pain but the girls knew that it was from the fact that he felt he was disappointing Atiny because he couldn’t perform for them.
Madrid turned out to be rougher than expected, the injury being the worst of it. The second day of the show was somber as none of the boys enjoyed performing without all eight of them there, but they did their best for Atiny regardless. Lia had stayed at the hotel with Wooyoung, so he wouldn’t be alone and to make it easier for him to rest.
Sometimes it was like they were living in a dream where nothing had consequences, but then real life always came knocking and burst that little bubble.

The Red String of Faith - Chapter VII
Idol!AteezXOCs Soulmates!ot8AteezXOCs OCXOC Slight Social Media AU!
slight twigger warnings: SMUT IN THIS CHAPTER!!! Polyamory, group of 10, two OC's -feel free to replace one OC with yourself if you'd like- , listen this is an idea me and my best friend had and is something for fun read at own risk, not edited as always, also we are starting to explore themes such as bxb and gxg if thats not for you, this story may not be for you.
Chapter V, Chapter VI, Next
Time moves so slowly when there is something or someone waiting for you. It’s even worse when soul sickness hangs over your head like a constant gray rain cloud.
Those two months dragged on for Lia and Lyra. They talked to the boys as much as possible, calling them at any chance and texting any moment they were awake at the same time. Ateez was gearing up for the next leg of the tour, their next major comeback in a couple months, and doing all kinds of promotions, filming, etc.
Some days they talked nonstop through all hours, other days, they could barely talk at all. A 13-hour time difference took its toll on all of them. But Lia had always been sensitive to the tether, for the most part. It was only a matter of time in Lia’s mind before that looming soul sickness laid claim on her.
Five weeks out
Packing was a hassle and the one thing that Lyra hated more than anything else was packing up a house. The girls had decided that they would start packing early, and send some things little by little beforehand so that they would be waiting for them at the new apartment they had secured just after the boys had returned to Korea.
With the help of Hajoon, they had gotten it arranged that they would all live together in the new apartment the girls had purchased outright, well kinda. There were some renovations Lia had decided on and thank god for Eunsook as she had been the one giving them all the updates on how the renovations were going.
They hadn’t fully explained to the boys the situation, in an attempt to make it a surprise. That’s one of the things they were working on right now in a way. Taking a break from packing some of their random crap and what they considered nonessential kitchen supplies, (to be read as all but two of each piece of dinnerware and utensils. They refused to be without kitchen things because Ateez sure as hell wouldn’t have any) to ship Yunho’s birthday present. If their calculations were right, and the postal system didn’t screw them over, it would get to him at KQ on his birthday in a couple of days.
Listen, paying a pretty penny for the fastest shipping they could be worth it to get the gift to him. The small Build-a-bear clad in Gryffindor robes was sprayed with both of the girls' perfumes and had a special recorded message from the girls in his left paw. They had even written him a long joint note, parts in Korean and parts in English.
They were incredibly sad that the first two birthdays between all of them would happen when they weren’t with each other, they just didn’t expect it to feel this awful being apart like this.
Three weeks out
Lia, if nothing else in this life, is stubborn. She was used to feeling sick, soul sickness was even familiar to her as she had gotten some form of it often while Lyra was an hour away at college. She hadn’t even told Lyra how often she had been sick for the first year she was in school, but it had been a bit of a blowout argument when it came to light.
Still, Lia was unwilling to voice the major discomfort she felt to anyone but her mom. It started with that same migraine from the first week they had spent away from the boys rearing its ugly head once again about 24 hours after they got home from LA.
Advil had become Lia’s best friend for the past couple of weeks, then the major mood shift hit about a week ago. Depression was one of the most common symptoms of worsening soul sickness, part of the body's way of trying to get the soulmates to reunite. To feel happy again.
In the past 48 hours the fatigue, soreness, fever, and nausea had set in. Lia couldn’t swallow anything, not even water, without wanting to vomit as it traveled down her throat. Her hands were shaking constantly and she couldn’t really feel her knees.
Lia had told her mom earlier in the week that she was feeling the separation a bit more now but tried to not really go into detail about what was going on. Just saying she really didn’t feel so good.
Lyra had no idea that she was this bad, having only picked up on the fact that the migraine had returned. Well, she had no idea until she walked into their apartment that afternoon to find Lia passed out on the kitchen floor.
There are very few things that compare to the fear of seeing your soulmate laid out, still on the floor. But, in that moment Lyra couldn’t think of anything worse than the scene she had come home to.
“I fucking hate you sometimes. How could you not tell me you were feeling this sick? Why?” Lyra was speaking into the void at the moment. Maybe if she talked enough Lia would wake up.
They had made it to the hospital a few hours ago, and the doctors pumped Lia full of fluids and some medications to help suppress the soul sickness. Now it was just a waiting game, she would wake up soon, but patience was something Lyra didn’t have at the moment.
Lyra was openly crying and softly holding Lia’s still hand, waiting for some sort of change. “You gotta wake up, and let me take care of you, okay? It’s you and me forever right? We’re supposed to go out like the old people in The Notebook. You made me promise that, no take backs, asshole.”
Humor to some extent helped Lyra get through the night until Lia finally woke up in the early hours of the morning.
Two weeks out
“You have to tell them. It’s only fair that they know,” Lyra was still in full-blown ‘caretaker’ mode after Lia’s fun little overnight stay in the hospital a week ago.
“It’s fine now, why should I have to worry them with something that doesn’t even matter anymore.” Lia didn’t see the point in telling the boys that she had been sick. She was fine now as the doctors had given her a prescription for medication that would help until they left for Madrid in a couple of weeks.
In her opinion they had more important things to do, finishing up their packing for both the household stuff and what would go with them on the tour. Ordering all of the furniture for their Korean apartment. Hajoon had already gotten the boys to order stuff for their rooms, feeding them a little white lie that they would be getting three separate dorms now that the girls were coming. It didn’t go over great, but they seemed to accept the white lie.
“FINE? LIA!” Lyra was flabbergasted at the fact she had just said it was fine, “You’re taking horse pills twice a day everyday for the next TWO WEEKS.”
Lia had to move a little out of the way as Lyra aggressively tossed said bottle of horse pills or soul sickness meds as a normal human would call them. Lyra was a bit sensitive to things like this, having taken care of her father from such a young age. She couldn’t imagine losing another person to something she couldn’t fix.
She had to bury the most important man that would ever be in her life if she had to do the same with the most important girl. That’s something she couldn’t survive, her weak heart could never take it.
Things had been tense between the two of them since the hospital stay, the separation was taking its toll on Lyra too. She wasn’t sick like Lia was, but her mood had soured and stayed that way since the hospital.
The boys were no better, each of them suffering in their own way. Hongjoong was crabby and had been a bit of a tyrant with recording, Yunho was abnormally quiet, and Mingi was sleeping more than normal. The others were experiencing some pretty drastic mood swings here and there, with extreme highs followed by extreme lows.
Everyone goes on and on about how bad soul sickness is on the body, but no one talks about just how bad the mental portion is. Depression is a standard symptom but it’s a constant loop of desperately needing someone who can’t be there. Or in their case multiple people who can't be there.
Lia refused to listen to her body, if she ignored the issues they weren’t there. Even after the hospital visit, her work came first. She was streaming nearly every day for at least 4 hours if not more. On top of that, she had been recording a series to post on youtube once a week while they were on tour with the boys and while they were getting settled in Korea.
Twilight in the Sims was already nine episodes long, each episode was roughly an hour long after editing and she had just started on making Jacob’s house. She was also determined to make the wolf pack’s house aka Sam and Emily’s house.
Plus to top everything off with the series she was going to make the castle the Volturi lived in as the final episode. It was a little excessive, Lia was aware of that, but she hadn’t really ever taken a break since starting Twitch. A part of her had a real fear that she would be gone and then she would come back to every one of her fans having left her. She just wanted to make everyone else happy, to give them the space she had always wanted to find.
48 hours out
Packing the last of their stuff was surprisingly emotional for both of the girls. Neither of them was significantly attached to Columbia, SC but something hurt about the fact that this place that was home, had always been home, wasn’t anymore. They would be on the other side of the world for the foreseeable future, no more calling their moms to be with them at the drop of the hat.
There was no going home anymore. One day you’re suddenly grown up and the choices you make can change everything.
Lyra was feeling the worst about being so far away from everything, from what she knew and it was the first time in her life she wouldn’t be in driving distance from her Dad. Saying goodbye to him was the hardest for her.
A gravestone couldn’t say goodbye back, it couldn’t tell her she was making the right choice, or anything else she was desperate to hear. Nothing like that would happen for her, all she could do was clean off the gravestone and keep talking as if someone would hear her.
She couldn’t see her father, not in person, but moving to the other side of the world really meant all she would have left of him were the voicemails saved on her phone. It all seemed so final.
Lia could only watch Lyra struggle with this, it was always something she had processed internally. Grieving in solitude. Besides, she was having a hard time with the major change.
Her mom was her whole world, not being able to see her whenever she wanted or being unable to call her was a weight on her heart. She would never go back to her Granny and Papa’s house, and she would be away from every comfort she had ever known.
As sad as it was for the girls and as hard as the last two months had been on them, it was like watching the sun crest over the horizon turning the darkest of nights into the brightest of dawns. A new and beautiful life was starting for all of them, with each other.
“Who would’ve thought that the two of us would have ended up with this life, huh?” Lia said from her spot on the floor next to Lyra. They had set up in front of the TV for their final dinner in their apartment, forgoing the couch and pretending that they were younger.
“Not me, I thought that soulmates were something that happened to other people. Not me,” Lyra stopped to finish eating the egg roll in her hand, thinking back to all the things they had done together.
“I would like to believe that Davis knew exactly what he was doing when he sat us together, like what if there was a small little elf on his shoulder, telling him ‘those two! Put those two together!’” The girls broke down into laughs at Lia's assumption of a small elf whispering into their old high school choir teacher's ear.
“If that's the case he spent every day for the next two years regretting that, we were simultaneously the favorites in that class and the ones with the mischievous streak.” Lyra recalled all of their antics and how they could get away with anything.
Every moment had happened for a reason, in one way or another it was fate bringing them together and pushing them toward the boys who were waiting on the other side of the world for them.
They sat like that for a few hours, talking about everything and nothing. Soaking in their final hours in the apartment that had become home, in the city that had always been home. The real truth of it: their home had stopped being a place a long time ago, now their home was eight men whose dreams depended on them being in South Korea.
The choice was easy, they would follow them anywhere.
At least their new tattoos had healed, and they wouldn’t have to deal with some of the more annoying parts of living in the same place your whole life. Like being stopped in the grocery store by your first-grade teacher and somehow getting trapped in a conversation for an hour in the cereal aisle.
 Nine hours until the reunion
The theme of having to go to an airport to see the boys was in all honesty becoming Lyra’s least favorite part of this whole shabang. International travel was considerably worse as they had to navigate even longer lines and fight larger crowds to just get to the TSA check.
“I swear if that woman and her yelling spawn get on our flight, I think my head might explode.” Lyra was having the worst day, her period had started, TSA had decided to harass her just a little bit about the surgical steel in her leg, and to top it all off the boys - who had arrived in Madrid the day before - hadn’t sent their normal good morning texts and it really was the highlight of both girls day.
“Normally I would defend the child because honestly same. I want to scream into the abyss at all hours of the day, but until I get my good morning text, screw everyone. They all suck.” Lia was pissy about the texts too. They were serious when they said it was the highlight of their day because each day the boys would try and outdo each other with awful pickup lines or cheesy puns that brought a smile without fail to each of the girls' faces.
Not to mention, as Lia had been making the effort to learn the basics of Korean and Lyra was working on the speaking and listening portion of the language, they had taken to sending some cute Korean puns every so often to help the girls.
They didn’t really help, it just caused the boys to clown each other and the girls to cringe. But still, they sent their good morning texts like clockwork. Yet, today there was nothing.
“Do you think they will text us while we’re in the air?” Lyra asked counting down the minutes until they boarded the plane. International flights were nerve-wracking, but an almost seven-hour flight across the open ocean had Lyra almost shitting herself.
She had seen one too many videos about the multiple planes that just disappeared throughout the years and knowing her luck, this would be one of them.
Lia wasn’t as on edge over the flight as Lyra, she knew she would fall asleep and sleep through the whole thing. Plus, if they did disappear over the open ocean how cool would it be to time-jump and show up five years in the future without realizing it.
The boys had learned the hard way not to ask them about conspiracy theories because all they got out of it was that water is indeed wet, the megalodon is still out there, and that Hellen Keller had to be lying about something. There is just no way that she flew a plane, Lia refused to believe it.
The flight was rather painless actually, with no screaming baby and no plunging into the ocean never to be seen again. They made it to Madrid safe and sound.
When they reached the terminal they finally got the chance to take their phones off of airplane mode, both of them seeing a flood of texts from the boys. And one from Hajoon, letting them know that an assistant manager would be meeting them, and getting them from the airport to yet another hotel.
Lia texted the boys back, letting them know that they had made it just fine while Lyra texted Hajoon back also letting him know they had landed and that they were heading out to the luggage claim to meet the other manager.
Finding their luggage was easy enough, they had made sure to buy brightly colored luggage so that it would be easier to find them when going through baggage claim.
The real problem they had run into was the fact that the manager they were supposed to meet was nowhere to be seen, despite the confirmation from Hajoon that she should be there already.
“Do you see Yerim? She was supposed to meet us here, but I didn't see her,” Lyra had looked through the three baggage claims near them and still had yet to see the assistant manager.
The girls hadn’t really gotten to know her yet, she didn’t speak to them often unless asked to and the boys tended to communicate directly with Hajoon. Yerim was also relatively new to the company according to Eunsook, and didn’t have much responsibility within her position yet.
“I don’t see her either, could we call her? Do you have her number?” Lia was a bit worried that they had gotten turned around somewhere or that something had happened to the Assistant Manager causing her to not be there.
None of them were in a place they were super familiar with and with Yerim being close in age with them, they worried for a girl on her own in an unfamiliar place.
“I don’t have her number, but let me see if I can get Hajoon on the phone and see what's going on or if he knows anything,” Lyra moved off to the side of the room they were in so that she could hear the call.
Standing by their luggage, Lia decided to take a peek at Twitter to see what her fans were chatting about and maybe give them a bit of a travel update.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When she looked back up, Lyra was on her way back over to her with an unpleasant look on her face.
“Did you get a hold of him?” Lia was confused as to why Lyra didn’t look happy with the phone conversation
“Yep. He said that he had just heard from her actually, and that she's actually on the other side of the airport at a different airline's baggage claim. She wants us to come to her and apparently she wasn’t very pleasant according to Hajoon. She thinks we went to the wrong baggage claim to make her look stupid.”  Lyra usually wasn’t one to care about things like this she would just suck it up and make their way over there, but all things considered. Today just wasn’t the fucking day.
Lyra grabbed her luggage a little aggressively and began to make her way toward the other baggage claim with Lia following behind her. As always between these two, Lyra extended her hand to the small of her back for Lia to grab as they navigated the crowded area.
It also let Lia know that Lyra’s annoyance wasn’t with her, just with the situation at hand. They hadn’t asked for any of the staff to meet them here, actually. But KQ insisted, seeing the girls as part of their company family now and wanting to ensure their safety. Hajoon had a soft spot for their soulmates and now for the girls too, so he was very adamant about helping in any way they could.
They reached Yerim without much fuss, and what surprised them the most was the girl acting as if nothing was wrong. Both of them were annoyed with the situation, just smiled, and were as polite as possible to make the interaction go faster. Their focus was on getting to the hotel to see the boys and being together with them again.
The boys were trying to settle into the hotel suite they were in, much like the first night they had spent with the girls they were in a hotel suite made of up two rooms each with two beds, common space, and kitchenette. They did not expect Lia and Lyra to bust into the room, not even telling them that they had made it from the airport.
The slam of the hotel room door caused most of the boys to try and go see what was happening. Before he could register what was happening Yunho was nearly tackled by Lyra, while Lia made a beeline for Yeosang who was with him in the kitchen.
The girls spent the next five minutes finding each boy and squeezing them into a tight hug. There really was no question, regardless of the travel, drastic change, and complicated staff situation these people were home to each other. The relief everyone felt being together again was almost euphoric and they had no intention of being away from each other for that long ever again.
A/N: Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, this one is definetly a filler in my eyes. My goal is to give maybe two chapters throught the Europe tour and then we get to the good stuff and life in Korea. I feel like that will be the most fun to write and the most fun to read, lol. This next week may be a little harder for me to update, as I will be watching my brothers house on top of my usual working shedule. So, we may not have an update this next week im not sure yet.

The Red String of Faith - The Mall Episode: One-Shot
Idol!AteezXOCs Soulmates!ot8AteezXOCs OCXOC Slight Social Media AU!
slight twigger warnings: SMUT IN THIS CHAPTER!!! Polyamory, group of 10, two OC's -feel free to replace one OC with yourself if you'd like- , listen this is an idea me and my best friend had and is something for fun read at own risk, not edited as always, also we are starting to explore themes such as bxb and gxg if thats not for you, this story may not be for you.
A/N: Hi all, this one shot goes with our story but is just a fun filler and little something something on the side. You can read this outside of the story or not read it at all. Both are okay! Enjoy :)
Masterlist
Going to the mall was a common thing for Lia and Lyra, just not this mall. After their flight back from spending time with their soulmates Ateez at their last US concerts, the two girls had decided to spend one extra day in Charlotte before heading back to Columbia.
Being tired and honestly, a little sad at having to go separate ways with the boys, the girls decided that the only thing that could make them feel better was to go find some stores to waste their money in. What did this really mean, Lia vlogging a trip to the mall and buying Kpop stuff even though they just were with their idol soulmate/boyfriends less than 14 hours ago.
“Hi Bunnies!” Lia was holding her small vlogging camera and waving while they were sitting in her car outside the mall. “We are outside the mall, and as boring as that sounds it's fun to us because our local mall has nothing.”
“That’s not true, it has the creepy Aeropostale and once upon a time it had a macaron stand that was amazing,” Lyra chimed in from her spot in the passenger seat. Lia quickly got her in the shot as she spoke.
“So, like I said, nothing,” Both girls laughed at the dig at their local mall, home was home but no one really bragged about living in or around Columbia, SC. “Our goal today, find the Noeasy, or Christmas EveL albums because I want them. And Levanter for Lyra. I also may get a couple Seventeen albums if I can find some I really want.”
The pair was walking into the mall now, and one thing Lyra would never get used to is the looks of other people when they see someone vlogging in public. She couldn’t really blame them, she would also be confused and maybe weirded out if she had seen someone vlogging before Lia started doing social media and streaming as a career.
“Okay, guys, after our first few random stores and a popcorn break, we have made it to the FYE. And here is the selection,” Lia was filming the standard K-pop section the store had, after getting the okay from the manager on duty.
They had a decent amount, some of the more popular albums and with a healthy selection, The largest amount was BTS albums to no one's surprise, the group was huge and it was one of the easiest to find.
The girls were a bit disappointed right off the bat, they found the Noeasy album but none of the others in this section of the store. “Okay, they had this one from Stray Kids, but that was it. Oh, look Ateez! I’d get this one, but we both already have it, so not this trip.” Lia showed a Zero: Fever Part. 1 album, at the beginning of the area.
“Oh, I think Lyra found some more over here,” her assumption was right as she made her way to where Lyra was at a smaller Kpop display, where there were some more Stray Kids albums and the first Seventeen albums they had seen in the store.
“They have Seventeen, I didn’t see any others over yander. Oh! And they have some lightsticks behind the register,” Lyra pointed out both the album and the lightstick from afar.
Honestly, they considered the first one a bit of a bust only coming out with one of the albums they were looking for and a seventeen album that Lia had picked up after all. They even joked a bit about getting the random light stick that was in the store, but neither were fans of Super Junior.
“Okay,” Lyra had taken over the filming for Lia as they had sat back in the car to do an unboxing of the albums Lia purchased. “I’m hoping to get a Han photocard, as always, but I am also looking for Felix to have one of each member. And I know, I know, I could just order everything offline but listen I like the instant gratification that comes with picking them up from the store and our tradition is to open the albums in the car.”
Lia was slowly opening her album and slapped her hand aggressively down over the photo card not to spoil anything for herself or any viewers. With some caution, Lia slowly pulled all of the cards up, still keeping them hidden from view.
“Okay, first one….” She paused for dramatic effect before turning the first card over to reveal a picture of Bang Chan.
“What a cutie, very much love him, but I have like twelve of him,” this was an over-exaggeration, Lia only had three of him but it seemed like she pulled him in every album she got, so every time she got a photo card of him she shouted out some exaggerated number in a fake complaint.
“And we have, A HAN!” Lia was actually jumping in her seat with excitement over the card. “Look, look, look, my little dude. Hahaha, I could just squish him to bits,” she was yelling but in a way that made Lyra cackle from behind the camera.
The girls finished the vlog by going to a much smaller Kpop shop in Charlotte and finding a much better selection. They ended up getting everything they had been searching for and matching SKZ keychains.
Two days later, the LA Vlog was posted and a week after that, the Mall vlog went up. It was considerably shorter than the LA content and honestly, that was fine as Lia was able to do her weekly streams at the moment and was working on the long-form series for when they joined the boys again.
What neither of them expected was Wooyoung calling Lia at 9 AM the following morning.
“Hello?” Lia answered the phone, she had only woken up about 10 minutes before so her voice was still rough from her sleep.
“YAH!” Wooyoung’s shout got even Lyra's attention, who made her way from the kitchen in their apartment to the living room where Lia was.
“What is the matter in here?” Lia just shrugged in response to Lyra's questions, about to ask when Wooyoung started speaking again.
“STRAY KIDS ALBUMS? You traitors, this is the biggest betrayal of my life. You looked at OUR ALBUM, OURS! But you got THREE of theirs, I swear i’m fighting them all the next time I see any of them. I thought you were ATINY. DOES THAT MEAN NOTHING TO YOU?” Wooyoung was still yelling and rapidly switching from English to Korean.
The girls were dying, they were laughing so hard at the man’s over-dramatic ass. To the point where he could hear their laughter over the phone and Lyra thought she was going to pass out because she couldn’t stop laughing at his reactions.
“Don’t laugh, I'm serious. Don’t make me get Hongjoongie-hyung to scold you both,” Wooyoung’s threat didn’t scare either of them in the slightest, it was a bluff. It had to be, there was no way that he would actually scold them for buying another group's album and merch.
Tumblr media
“Oh no,” Lyra said, showing her phone to Lia at the text Hongjoong had just sent in the group chat. He was indeed pissed. They all were a little bit, but he was demanding that Lyra call him so that he can also speak to them.
Wooyoung, now smug as hell, hung up his call with Lia saying he would let Hongjoong handle them. He was a little too giddy about the fact that his leader was about to scold them, something the rest of their soulmates had experienced at one time or another.
Was this slight possessiveness hot, absolutely. Were they a little scared of Hongjoong at the moment, very much so.
Lyra, not wanting to make him any more upset, face-timed Hongjoong. It took one ring before the screen began connecting over to him.
Once the connection was stable, his face appeared on the screen and the look he had was nowhere near amused.
“I was under the impression, the two of you were Atiny? I must have been mistaken,” Hongjoong was very calm, it had both girls' full attention on Lyra’s iPhone.
“We are Atiny b-'' Lyra tried to explain but Hongjoong just held up a finger when she began to talk.
“I understand that Stray Kids Make very nice music, Seventeen as well. I have to admit that we are very attached to our Atiny,” Hongjoong paused and pulled back a little, the girls could see several of the other boys sitting near him on the coach he was on. All of them had a similar look on their faces, very serious and stern.
Both girls had several thoughts going through their heads, but the one they had in common was the thought of just how hot they were being jealous.
“We are even more possessive of each other, I think people have picked up on that here and there, but we do not share well at all. Are we not your favorite idols?” Hongjoong asked them in the same calm manner as before.
“We understand that you are protective and you are our favorite boys in this whole world,” Lyra began, answering her soulmate, “We are Ainty, but we also are Stays and Carats and Army. We got so incredibly lucky finding all of you, but it may not have happened if we hadn’t also been fans of those other groups.”
Lyra knew the culture was slightly different for K-stans, but she and everyone she knew who were fans of Kpop loved multiple groups.
“If I hadn't had some very good friends introduce me to a group called GOT7, I never would have spared a second glance to Korean pop. If Lia hadn’t stumbled upon a video of Lee Felix being cute, I never could have convinced her to listen to Ateez. We will always pick you, as our favorite boys, as our choice, believe in you and route for you above all else. I promise that.” Lyra became serious in her last couple of words, they both knew it.
The boys also picked up on the sincerity of what both of the girls were saying by this. Lia, while not speaking, knew that they understood that it went for both of them.
“You’re our soulmates, and you work very hard. We will always support your music and cheer you on.” Lia added with a small smile before continuing, “We will stream and vote for you, that is unless you’re up against Stray Kids, then I might have to pull for the other team.”
All the boys groaned and let out complaints in a mixture of English and Korean, while the girls giggled.
“I’d vote for you over Stray Kids, but if it were GOT7…” Lyra stopped there with a small grin on her face.
“Hey, now we can show you our cute tattoos!” Lia said as she shifted some of the bracelets she always wore on her left wrist to show the small symbol on her wrist, it was like the inside of a Nachimbong with the iconic S at the very bottom of the symbol.
Their faces morphed from understanding to confusion and then Hongjoong made a face, poking his tongue into his cheek.
Lyra from beside her pulled up her pant leg to show her ankle to show a small green bird there.
Then without warning, San pulled the phone from Hongjoong’s grasp and began speaking, “When are you going to get Ateez tattoos? Cover those with us.” He wasn’t joking in the slightest but the girls couldn’t stop laughing at the suggestion.  Maybe, just maybe they would think about getting an Ateez tattoo.
They both were shaking their heads in response, they wouldn’t cover up their happy little reminders of their introductions to K-pop. Even as the boys began to make a fuss again, their renewed frustrations, the girls couldn’t take the situation seriously anymore.
Eventually, Hongjoong just hung up the phone and the boys spent the rest of their night pouting.
A/N: We will be back with our next chapter soon! Get ready for another round of goodbyes as the girl got to join the boys in Europe then through to Korea.

The Red String of Faith - Chapter VI
Idol!AteezXOCs Soulmates!ot8AteezXOCs OCXOC Slight Social Media AU!
slight twigger warnings: SMUT IN THIS CHAPTER!!! Polyamory, group of 10, two OC's -feel free to replace one OC with yourself if you'd like- , listen this is an idea me and my best friend had and is something for fun read at own risk, not edited as always, also we are starting to explore themes such as bxb and gxg if thats not for you, this story may not be for you.
Chapter I, Chapter II, Chapter III, Chapter IV, Chapter V, Next
After Lyra made it to San and Seonghwa’s room, her only goal was to read the smutty book on her phone about a demon king. The boys were still getting ready for bed, bouncing back and forth between the bathroom and the main part of the room.
Lyra was sprawled out on the bed she could only assume was San’s because the blankets were a mess compared to the bed to the right which was perfectly made up. This was only confirmed when San, who had only gotten as far as changing his clothes, threw himself down beside her.
“San-ah, you need to finish getting ready. You can’t sleep in your makeup.” Seonghwa said from his spot just outside the bathroom where he had finished his skincare.
“I’m lazy.” San said from his spot on the bed while casually trying to read over Lyra’s shoulder.
“What are you doing, Ly?” San had put his face next to her phone, unsure what the large block of text was on her phone's screen.
“I’m reading, why?” Lyra flashed the screen at him to show him the full page she was on before going straight back to her intense reading stare. She let her one free hand go to play with San’s hair.
“Pay attention to me” San rolled onto her, preventing her from seeing her phone as it was now pressed against her chest.
“You still need to take your makeup off, once you’re both ready for bed I'll cuddle you both.” Lyra just wanted to finish this one chapter, or two. The main characters were about to finally have sex.
“Nooooooo,” San whined into her neck not wanting to get up.
“Sannie, do you want me to do it for you or something?” Lyra was joking.
“Yes, actually. Please do it for me, Doll?” San was not joking. Also, Lyra was confused about where he learned the term doll and when he decided to start calling her that. She wasn’t one to lie however, it was hot. Very hot.
“I-” Lyra was stunned and struggling for words after San’s new nickname, “Okay, fine. Where is your make up remover?” Lyra wormed her way out from underneath San to head toward his bathroom.
“Here is his makeup remover, really all it took was a pet name and you cave? Good to know.” Lyra turned pink at Seonghwa's words, grabbing the bottle and cotton pads from him trying to avoid eye contact.
“Don’t make fun of me,” She muttered as she began putting the makeup remover onto the cotton pads and then placing two of them over San’s eyes.
“We’re not making fun of you, Doll,” Seonghwa was directly behind her now. Watching as she gently took the makeup off of San’s face. Her hands were shaking slightly as she gilded the cotton pads across his skin, being careful not to pull or be too harsh.
She was startled when she felt Seonghwa grab her waist and lay his head on her shoulder while watching as she worked.
“You need to go wash your face now, and then put on some face lotion. I don’t want to hear you complaining about a break out tomorrow. Even worse, I don’t want to be on Eunsook’s hit list.” Lyra said, patting San on the shoulders to encourage him to get up from his sitting position on the bed and finish his routine.
“Fine, but you have to give me a kiss first.” San playfully pouted his lips toward her. With little hesitation, Lyra gave him a quick kiss and nudged him toward the bathroom once again. She had decided since this morning that kissing boys wasn’t so bad, and it made her much less nervous now that she had kissed Hongjoong.
“Hongjoong told us something interesting this morning while we were getting ready for our interview,” Seonghwa said teasingly next to her. Lyra knew where this was going and could roll her eyes at her soulmates’ antics. She really didn’t care if they knew she had no experience with guys.
“Let me take a wild guess, that I had never kissed a man before this morning when he and I made out?”
“What?” Seonghwa and San asked at the same time. San even went as far as to step out of the bathroom, his facewash still soapy on his face.
“That’s not what he told you?” Lyra was stunned and impressed with Hongjoong. She hadn’t told him not to say anything, so she assumed he would share with the class so to speak.
“NO! He told us you talk in your sleep and showed us a video he took of you being cute in your sleep” San said his eyes wide, the facewash on his face was slowly dripping into his eyes so it was an ordeal for him to be making that expression.
“Oh, well then. I didn’t know I did that, hopefully I didn’t say anything embarrassing.” Lyra was trying to ignore the look Seonghwa was now giving her after learning this information. It was like he was questioning everything, but he also looked as though he was a little too happy with the new information.
San returned to his spot on the bed after finally getting the soap off his face, and he quickly looked at his phone before glancing back to Lyra. He soon got the same look on his face as Seonghwa, like he was a little too happy with the news.
“So, you’ve only kissed Sannie and Hongjoongie?” Seonghwa’s asked in a mischievous tone, obviously having other intentions with his questions.
“No, they’re the only males I've kissed. I’ve had my fair share of girlfriends and don’t forget I’ve done everything with Lia first.” Lyra wanted to subtly flex her and Lia’s past. They weren’t romantically involved, but that didn’t mean they hadn’t tried to be more than platonic. It just never worked for them before.
“Okay, let me try that question again, Sannie and Hongjoongie are the only men you have kissed?” Seonghwa was not deterred by Lyra’s attempt to distract him.
“Yes,” Lyra was playing with fire at this point. The intensity of these two men was palpable in the air.
“Do you plan to kiss the rest of us?” Seonghwa questioned starting to get closer to his point.
“Yes,” Lyra couldn’t tell which way this was going to go now, but she would be lying if she said she didn’t like it. Everything about what was going on was extremely hot to her. She had a bit of a thing for protective (maybe a little possessive) partners, it made her feel wanted.
“So, the only men who will ever kiss, touch you, fuck you, will be Ateez?” Seonghwa’s English was rougher than usual, maybe because these weren’t words he practiced or used in his English vocabulary often, but god was it hot.
Lyra thought hard about how she should answer his question, she wasn’t stupid or naive by any means. She knew that she had control of this situation, that she could let it go up a notch and keep it going or cut it off now. But, Lyra was at her purest form, nothing more than a simp.
As well as the fact that she had ⅔ of the demon line looking at her like they wanted to eat her. She is, currently, a slightly turned-on simp.
“Yes.” Lyra answered after a couple seconds, her tone shifting to sound somewhat playful.
“Good.” It was the first word San had said since the conversation had turned sexual, he was more than content watching the interaction. The next thing Lyra knew, Seonghwa’s lips were on hers. She didn’t know which of the two had their hands on her waist, gently grounding themselves to her.
San’s mouth was on her neck, dotting her neck with kisses. Lyra didn’t know which was up at this point and she was lost in the two men she was sandwiched between. Her hands rested on Seonghwa’s shoulders, all she could hear was their combined breaths, their clean and masculine smells filling her nose. All she could think about and process at the moment was them.
“Do you want to do this? To be with us like this, we're not rushing you. We can stop right now.” Both of the boys stopped to make sure this was okay, they wanted her to want this like they did, to be comfortable in this situation and not to regret anything later on.
“You’re all so sweet and thoughtful. Yes, I want to do this. I know it’s fast moving but this is what I want, if it wasn’t I promise everyone would know.” Lyra said with a grin on her face.
“You’ve never done this before, let us teach you what we like.” San was speaking in her ear in a low voice, she could feel his eyes on her now.
“And let us figure out what you like,” Seonghwa finished the thought and leaned in, giving Lyra a quick kiss before turning and capturing San’s lip in a kiss. The two men kissed with a familiarity, it wasn’t a sweet and polite kiss, no this kiss was aggressive and sloppy. These men knew each other, inside and out. There was something very erotic about it but underneath it was this familiarity and love between them.
Seonghwa broke their kiss and stood up, pulling Lyra with him. He turned her so that her back was against his chest, both of them facing San who was sitting on the bed.
“Get on your knees, doll,” Seonghwa put his hands on her shoulder, helping her to the carpeted floor directly between San’s knees. San was resting back on his hands, watching her with heavily lidded eyes.
It was like Lyra knew instinctively what to do as she put her hands on San’s clothed knees and looked up at him for approval. He slowly nodded his head, letting her know that she could continue on her way to his waistband.
Lyra toyed with the elastic band for a few seconds before tugging, San lifting his hips as she removed the only piece of clothes he had on. This was no surprise to Lyra, the whole group had admitted to only wearing boxers some of the time after a particularly sus tiktok that Lia had sent to the group chat.
After his pants, Lyra let her hands rest on his thighs. Her confidence wavered slightly, she had never come face to crotch with a man before much less with the intention of putting a dick in her mouth. She also was half trying not to look half admiring the sizable dick in front of her.
Saying a dick was pretty didn’t feel right in Lyra’s mind, and when the words slipped from her lips she couldn’t help but turn bright red.
San was smirking after her comment, his cock was hard and he was waiting for her to touch him.
“Lyra,” Seonghwa was still behind her now sitting on the other bed in the room. Lyra could feel his knees and legs behind her, they gave her support taking some of the pressure off of her knees.
“I think he wants you to touch him, Doll. I know he’s pretty to look at, but don’t make him suffer.” Seonghwa was teasing both of them with his words, enough to make San scuff.
“Like this?” San almost jumped out of his skin when Lyra’s hand grasped him. He sucked in a sharp hiss as she started to pump his cock.
She started to move her hand slightly faster and could feel the friction from the lack of lubrication. Without giving herself the chance to pussy out, she dipped her head forward and licked a strip from the base of his cock to the tip.
“Just like that,” Seonghwa answered as she put her tongue back into her mouth, letting her speed increase even more. San was groaning at her touch and watching the whole thing happen, trying to keep his hands to himself, for now.
Looking up at San, Lyra decided that it was now or never. There was something unexpectedly arousing from jerking him off and she couldn’t stop thinking about having his dick down the back of her throat. Freud would have a field day with that.
She shifted forward, going from sitting back on her knees to her ass in the air. Lyra wanted a better way to take San in her mouth and she wanted to shake her ass right in front of Seonghwa, but who's asking anyway?
“Fuck, Doll. Are you sure this is your first time doing this?” San’s hand was in her hair seconds after she warped her mouth around his cock. His grip was rough, and he was using her hair to help her bob up and down.
Lyra was fueled on by San’s comment, taking him deeper into her mouth. She was sure she would end up deep-throating him, both from the way he was guiding her head and the way he was starting to thrust up into her mouth. He was planning to face fuck her and damn did it make her wet.
Seonghwa’s voice broke through the sloppy sounds coming from the pair in front of him, “You like sucking his cock, huh? I can tell from the way you’re moving your ass that you’re turned on.” Seonghwa’s hand came to rest on her ass, the other gripping her hip.
He had at some point stood up from his seat on the bed, if Lyra tried she could grind up against the man. Seonghwa rubbed her ass cheek gently and then he slapped her ass, hard.
The force of Seonghwa’s hand caught Lyra off guard causing her to gasp around San’s cock.
“Do it again, Hyung.” San’s grip on her hair somehow got tighter and he was fully thrusting his cock into her mouth. She had taken him to the hilt and was almost choking, but she loved it. Something about totally handing control over to them was euphoric.
Seonghwa’s hand once again slapped her ass, Lyra couldn’t help but grind her hips against the air in pleasure. She was soaked and without a doubt, her sleep shorts had to have a wet spot on them.
“You like getting spanked, Doll?” Seonghwa’s finger was rubbing her through her clothes and all she could do was moan around San’s cock in response.
“I’ll take that as a yes,” San said, not only hearing her moaning but feeling the vibrations from her throat.
Seonghwa was working her sleep shorts and panties down over her hips at the same time as San spoke. “You’re right San-ah. She must love it to be this wet.”
Seonghwa’s finger was now playing with her bare dripping slit, going back and forth from flicking her swollen clit to teasing her entrance. Lyra wanted to turn and scream at him to just fuck her already, but her mouth was more than full at the moment and from San’s grip on her hair she wasn’t going anywhere.
Instead, she began trying to grind against Seonghwa’s hands or really any part of him that was touching her.
“So impatient, Doll. Do you want me to fuck you that bad? Tell me, or I won’t.” Seonghwa stopped all of his actions waiting for her to tell him what he wanted to hear.
Lyra pulled her mouth off of San’s cock and turned to look at the older member over her shoulder. “Fuck me like a slut. Please,” She was using her hands to pump San’s cock slowly as she spoke.
Did Lyra expose her slight degradation kink, yes. Would this come to haunt her eventually, knowing the boys, absolutely.
Seonghwa’s cock pushed into her. He wasn’t gentle or soft with her, fucking just as she had asked. San guided her head back to his cock, helping her to resume the face fucking she had been in the middle of.
The room was nearly silent, except for the sounds of skin against skin and Lyra’s mouth on San or the moans coming from the trio.
Lyra could feel Seonghwa shift forward, not only hitting a new spot within her, but as she looked up she could see the two men kissing above her. This made her go harder, wanting to pleasure them even more.
San could feel his orgasm coming as he broke the kiss with Seonghwa. He looked down at Lyra as he sped up his sloppy thrust and used his hand to help her match his pace. He came hard enough for his eyes to roll to the back of his head.
“Swallow, or you don’t get to cum.” San’s voice was deep, his pleasure still thick in the air.
Lyra swallowed the load in her mouth while keeping eye contact with the man in front of her, licking her lips as the last of it went down her throat. She opened her mouth playfully to show him it was all gone, not expecting him to grab her face.
“Good girl, Doll. Swallowed every last drop,” San said, bringing his face down to hers before kissing her.
Seonghwa was apparently pleased with this as he started fucking her harder from behind, one hand going firmly to her clit. She was meeting his thrust with her own, chasing her own high now.
Lyra almost came instantly when Seonghwa’s hand went to her hair, pulling her head back slightly to make her look up at him. The smacking of skin got louder the rougher they got, at some point, Lyra swore she was drooling from how good it felt.
San, not one to be left out, reached down and pulled Lyra’s oversized shirt up to expose her tits. He skillfully began playing with her nipples, pinching, and pulling as she was fucked by Seonghwa.
“Good girl, such a good fucking girl for us. Our own little slutty doll.” Seonghwa emphasized his words with hard thrusts. Lyra didn’t know if it was the combination of San’s hands and Seonghwa’s cock, or if it was the words coming out of Seonghwa’s mouth but she came. Just like San, Lyra’s eye rolled to the back of her head and she let out a moan as she rode out her orgasm.
Seonghwa was also close as he kept the intensity of his thrusts, hitting her G-spot and sending her almost instantly into a second orgasm.
She felt him pull out of her just as he started to cum, letting his load out across her ass. The three of them just existed like this for a second taking in the moment and their shared pleasure.
San was the first to start the aftercare, kissing both Lyra and Seonghwa sweetly on the lips before getting up to go grab a washcloth to help clean up.
Before long they were all three tucked into one of the beds wrapped in each other's arms. Softly talking about anything that crossed their minds as they all started to drift off to sleep.
Lyra was the last of them awake, staring at the ceiling from her spot to the right of San who was cuddled up in the middle. She had always been a bad sleeper, even now. She couldn’t believe this was her life, any of it. It was over a half-hour later when she fell asleep, thinking about the things fate had given her.
The next morning was rough for both girls, Lyra had gotten back to her and Lia’s hotel room to find it empty. Lia and Yunho had already gone down to get breakfast before their busy day started.
Her phone was blowing up once she checked it after getting dressed. From no other than Wooyoung and a new group chat with just her, Lia, Wooyoung, and Mingi.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lyra wanted to throw hands with Wooyoung, his teasing was so annoying but also cute. If she didn’t know how physically affectionate he was, she would put money on teasing being his love language.
Tumblr media
Lia was having the time of her life at breakfast, she and Wooyoung were giggling across from each other. Yunho was trying to ignore the fact that Mingi had without doubt told everyone what had happened last night.
“Wait, so why only the four of us in that chat? You normally would just go about this in the big group chat,” Lia asked Wooyoung after Yunho got up to go talk to Yeosang at another table.
“Oh! I just made a bottom group chat,” he said it like it was the most obvious no-brainer in the world, Wooyoung didn’t even look up from his food when answering.
“Now, why would you assume that me and Lyra are in that category?” Lia was teasing him about the assumption, he was right but just telling him that wasn’t fun.
In the past week, Lia and Wooyoung had become the terrible two in the group chat and over Facetime. Teasing not only each other nonstop, but also being cutely annoying to everyone else as a pair. Hongjoong had to threaten to put them in time out on Wednesday, as they were having a little too much fun over a Tik Tok of San on stage that had gone semi-viral. To be fair, what Hongjoong really did was ask Wooyoung if he needed to come to his room that night and told Lia she would find out what that was like if she didn’t let it go.
“Lia, who are you trying to lie to here? You’re a pillow princess if I have ever seen one.” Wooyoung was deadpan in his response, again acting like this was the most obvious thing in the world.
“You don’t have to call me out like that sir. My princess behavior is my concern,” Lia looked up to the left in a playful huff. She would spend every day like this if she could, just being surrounded by her soulmates.
“Listen Pretty, it’s okay. You’re our little pillow princess,” Wooyoung reached across to give her a sweet kiss and pat her head in a joking manner.
“Okay, you’re the second one to call me that. What did you guys just sit around and decide on like a single pet name for us or something?” Lia was joking with her question so Wooyoung’s answer sent her for a loop.
“Yeah, we did a couple days ago when we were getting ready for a schedule.” He just blinked at her before continuing, “You’re our pretty girl, so we decided on Pretty. Lyra reminded Mingi of a doll the first time we saw you, so she's our Doll.”
“Her concert outfit reminded you of a doll?” Lia was slightly confused by his confession, she had spent her time and effort into making Lyra’s concert outfit a hot one. It did not in the slightest read ‘doll’ to her.
“Oh no, the first time we ever saw you two was on a live stream in like 2021. Yunho has been watching your streams since late 2020, I think.”
Lia was flabbergasted at this, they watched her. HER?
“What?” That was the only thing Lia could think to say, Yunho of all people was a bunny? A big enough fan of hers to introduce the rest of them to her content?
“Yeah, a couple of us will sometimes watch your streams together. Yunho only misses them if we have a schedule or something like that.” Wooyoung showed her his phone, it was a picture of Yunho camped out in what she assumed was their dorm living room. She could recognize the stream playing on the tv as one that happened a couple of months ago when she was wearing an Ateez shirt during the stream and talking about the comeback that was happening then.
“Wow, that’s so weird. I never would have guessed you guys watched me. I just play the Sims and sometimes other random games.”
“We all find your voice really soothing and you’re always happy on stream. It helps us relax, especially Yunho. He sometimes watches it to fall asleep.” He scrolled through his photos to show Lia, one of Yunho on the same couch as before. This time she could see his phone in his hand and the slightest hint of her streaming set up on the screen.
“Awe, I wonder why he didn’t tell me that?” Lia was a little butt hurt that Yunho hadn’t told her that he was a fan of hers. They obviously knew she and Lyra were Atiny, she had done whole live streams just talking about Ateez and kpop in general while playing her games.
“He kinda freaked out in the car, after we talked after the meet and greet. Seonghwa too, he also watches pretty often.” Wooyoung had moved to sit beside her and gossip now as it was easier this way. He was enjoying telling everyone’s secrets a little too much, as always.
“Damn, so what live did you guys see Lyra in?”
“The soulmate Q&A you two did a while back, I think it’s the first time she had been on stream for more than a few seconds or randomly in the background,” Wooyoung stopped for a second trying to think. “I think we all watched that one for some reason, I don’t remember why. I think we all just ended up being there and it was on. It wasn’t live though, we have to wait a couple days for someone to add Korean subtitles.”
Lia had never thought of that before, the fact that people had to translate and watch her streams later because of it. She had to do the same with lives from her favorite groups often.
Lyra slid into the seat on the other side of them finally making an appearance at breakfast. She was purposefully avoiding making eye contact with the grinning man beside Lia.
“Good Morning, Doll.” Wooyoung couldn’t help himself. He just had to say it.
“I swear to any god that is listening, if you say anything else about anything. I’ll figure something out and hold it against you. I’m sure I could get San to tell me,” Lyra shot back at him in the same manner.
“Oh, from what he told me about last night, you could get him to do anything you want.” Wooyoung finished his joke with a wink.
The laugh that came from Lia made every single person in that room, staff and members alike, turn their heads to look at the three. Yeosang and Jongho, looking to break up the teasing, came to sit with them.
“Good morning,” Jongho was as pleasant as always, something about being around the girls put him in a good mood. He liked to argue and pick on his hyungs but he felt protective of the girls and besides there was something about them being his age. In his mind, the three of them being the same age meant that he could just relax more around them right off the bat. “Mornin’,” Lyra lent into his shoulder in a greeting as he sat in the middle of her and Yeosang.
Jongho smiled and put his head on hers for a second, soaking up the affection for a while. He smiled at Lia and Wooyoung too, who both smiled back at the two in front of them. Wooyoung always found Jongho cute, especially when he did show affection like this which was rare.
“Morning Jonho, Morning Yeosangie,” Lia said to the both of them, Jongho just smiled at her while stealing a piece of bacon from her plate and popping it into his mouth.
Yeosang, however, remained silent. His expression was rather neutral, but his lack of greeting and eye contact was something the girls hadn’t seen from him. It was almost like he was pouting over something.
“Yeo?” Lia tried again, attempting to get a response from him. One thing about Lia is that she cannot stand when someone is upset, particularly upset with her, and she doesn’t know why or what is wrong. She is notorious for prying the information out of someone at all costs.
“He’s pouting,” Jongho and Wooyoung said together. They were unbothered by the behavior, it was a bit of a moment for Lyra. It struck her that they still didn’t know each other inside and out yet. The boys knew each other like the back of their hand, she and Lia were one mind in two bodies. It would take time, much more time, for them to all know each other in a way where they could read each other just by a quick look.
“Why? What’s wrong?” Lyra asked this time, maybe he would respond to her.
“Because, and I quote ‘it’s not fair that those two got to hit it and I haven’t even gotten a kiss from Lyra yet’ which then was followed by his current pouting,” Wooyoung explained as Jongho nodded his head in agreement.
“Oh,” Lyra suddenly felt a little guilty. She wasn’t as open with affection as Lia and started second-guessing her choices from the night before after hearing that. Maybe she should have waited until she had shown more affection to everyone before going that far with anyone.
“Don’t do that. It’s okay, he’s just a little jealous and acting like a baby rather than trying to get what he wants,” Jongho pulled her out of her head, keeping her from getting too lost in there.
She still couldn’t help but feel bad. Yeosang had been very affectionate and flirty with her since they met, making her feel wanted and letting her know just what he thought. He had done the same with Lia, but she had proudly said her goal on this trip was to lay one on all of them before the first night was over. She had accomplished that goal and was now readily sharing affection, Lyra wanted to be like that but she was shy.
Lyra also hated not knowing why someone was upset, but she hated the silent treatment even more. She couldn’t stand someone not telling her what was going on nor the thought of someone being upset with her but that was her people pleasers showing through.
“Okay, well fine then.” Lyra stood from her seat and went around the back of the chairs to stand to the side of Yeosang. Something about these boys gave her an unusual amount of sporadically placed courage, so she pulled him - kinda hard- up from his seat.
Lyra wasn’t exactly tall, she was only 5’5, so Yeosang didn’t tower over her. Still, she had to look up at him slightly sometimes, especially now when his shoes gave him some extra height.
He was still refusing to make eye contact and had now stepped up his dramatics to push his bottom lip out just slightly. Using one hand, she grabbed his face and brought it down to hers. When their lips came together, Lyra assumed that it would be a quick kiss. Yeosang had other plans.
Having gotten his way, Yeosang stopped his pouting and unfolded his arms to wrap them around Lyra’s waist, pulling her close to him. After she broke their first kiss, a smile came to his face before he kissed her once more, this time his hands wandered from her waist as he reached down and grabbed her ass just enough to make her pull away and hit his chest softly.
“You, sir, are so full of it,” Lyra was attempting to go back to her own seat when Yeosang suddenly sat in his chair and pulled her into his lap.
“Stay, give me attention,” Yeosang put his head into her back as if to snuggle Lyra in some way.
Lia was giggling in her seat watching Lyra squirm in the man's lap trying to reach over and grab a piece of food here and there from her plate down the table. The group stayed like this for a while just hanging out before the boys had to leave to start their day, a couple of them had different lessons going on before sound check today. Others were working on some new projects for their next comeback.
San and Mingi were riding in the same car as Lia to the venue, they were working with Hongjoong on some music today. The venue was the easiest spot for them to work without getting stuck in a hotel room all day.
“You know, the one thing I wish I had gotten to see you all do was a Pick It Up performance live, because it's honestly my favorite thing. One day, I will sneak into a dance practice and force you all to give into my demands,” Lia was jokingly being over dramatic in her declaration to the boys with her in the car. Both of whom just laughed at her antics.
“Oh looks like Yeosang just found out that you and Yunho did the dirty, have fun with his pouting Lia,” Mingi said right as a notification came in from the group chat. Yeosang was definitely pouting again.
Tumblr media
Lia and Lyra spent their day, once again, with Eun-Sook and the stylists. In their opinion, they were helping, but most of the time it was them just running to go grab the different clothes or random things that were needed by their new friend.
The show started and this time they remained backstage, watching the boys on the monitors. They were killing it on the stage as always. Lia and Lyra were vibing when it wasn’t total chaos backstage, at the moment they were trying to get Eun-Sook to do the ‘girlypop’ dance with them.
Much to their surprise they heard the Mingi speak to the crowd from the stage, “Atiny, this next one is not planned. Someone close to us said they miss it, so here we go.”
Lia and Lyra turned to look at each other as the beginning notes of Pick It Up began before they broke out into a sprint trying to get to the side stage. Lia put her hand on the small of her back and signaled for Lyra to grab it, one of their rituals when walking through (or running in this case) crowded areas.
They were weaving in and out of staff members in the back, trying their hardest not to run into anyone. For the record they did apologize to the assistant manager when they ran into her.
By the time they made it to stage left, the boys were into it and dancing their asses off. So, in true atiny fashion, the girls started freaking out on the sidelines. Turns out they were screaming loud enough for the boys to hear them from the side of the stage.
The girls ended up watching the rest of the show from that position, and every so often the boys saw them there. Making quick eye contact or a small smile, the girls loved it just as much seeing them in their element would never get old for them.
What really got them was the unexpected words from the boys, each of them thanking the fans and saying goodbye for now to Atiny, leaving little hints for the girls to pick up on. But, Hongjoong took it one step further with his words,
“Atiny! I can’t tell you how much it means to all of us, to me, to be able to see you all again. These last two years have been hard and lonely without Atiny.” Like the rest of the members, Hongjoong was a bit emotional while recalling the isolation he had felt over the past two years, “This tour has changed my world, and sometimes I think if Covid hadn’t happened I would have found these great things in my life faster. I feel so whole with Atiny and being with all of you, it makes me so happy. I don’t want to go and be apart from you all ever again. I wish I could see all of you every single day.”
He glanced around at his members, at the soulmates he found first. They were just as emotional as he was, both because they were saying goodbye to their fans and ending one leg of their tour but also knowing that the morning would end their time with the two girls waiting for them in the wings. Keeping them from each other for two months.
He glanced over his shoulder to the side stage where Lia and Lyra were, both with tears running down their faces and soft smiles to all of the boys.
“Time and distance may separate us for now, but know that everyday our thoughts are of you. Until we are all together again not a single moment will feel right.” Hongjoong ended his speech as Twilight began to play their final song. Causing the girls to feel even more loved, as they had mentioned the first time they talked to the boys. During the meet and greet, they mentioned the song as one that was special to them and had a place in their hearts.
Now, it and everything they knew took on a whole new meaning. No matter where they were or how alone they felt as just two girls who were afraid of being alone, they would never be again. They had each other and suffered together as just the two of them for so long, now their hearts beat as 10.
As they sang, something started falling from the ceiling onto the fans in the arena. This hadn’t happened at the previous shows and was especially for this last show. Looking out at the confetti, it was a mixture of several colors, black and orange made up most of what was falling into the crowd. Sprinkled in was some green and purple confetti, it wasn’t until one piece of every color fell onto the park of the stage right in front of where the girls stood in the back that it made sense.
Orange and black for Ateez, purple and green for the girls as the combination was often associated with them on the internet. A subtle nod once again, keeping their privacy but also a confession of their affection for the girls.
After the boys made it backstage the girls showered them in affection, Lyra even made it a point to kiss each of them and to give them as much affection as possible. Despite having several different hotel rooms, they all congregated in the girls' room that night. Eating there and talking late into the night. If they didn’t go to sleep the morning wouldn’t come and no one would have to go anywhere.
They were on very different flights the next day, the girls' flight to the East Coast took off at 10 AM while the boys' flight to South Korea left at 2 PM. Saying goodbye at the hotel was the easiest thing for all of them, and gave them some privacy as there wasn’t a dry eye among them.
Two months was a sickening thought, but they would be together again. It was their fate to be together.
Lyra, who had no social media whispered something to Lia as they sat in their terminal waiting to board.
Wooyoung got the notification on his Instagram he used to keep up with atiny first, seeing that Lia had added something to her story. All of Ateez couldn’t help the sad smiles they had all day after seeing the post.
It was a picture of their plane home and a quote that obviously came from Lyra at the bottom,
“I exist in two places, here and where you are.” - Margaret Atwood

Chapter I, Chapter II, Chapter III, Chapter IV, Next
A/N: enjoy :)
Landing in LAX was a blur. It was late and the only thing Lia could make out of her sleepy gaze was that it was dark outside. Well. as dark as it could be with all the lights of the airport.
Lia had fallen asleep about an hour into the flight, it was only when they were preparing to land and she needed to put her seatbelt back on did she get gently woken up by Jongho. She felt kinda bad as she had slept on his shoulder and she was sure it was uncomfortable for him.
Getting luggage was as painless as it could be, but the airport was never a fun place to be and really everyone was getting a little antsy to get in the cars at least. Trying to get everyone where they needed to go was a hassle.
They had gotten three cars to take them to the hotel, in the first car was filled with Hajoon, Seonghwa, San, and Wooyoung. The second car was filled by Yunho, Lia, Jongho, and one of the security guards. And the final car was another security guard, Hongjoong, Lyra, Yeosang, and Mingi.
Their drive wasn’t super long, but getting out of the airport was always an endeavor. In the time it took for the cars to get away from the airport, Lia had once again fallen asleep. This time, instead of leaning on anyone else in the car, she had curled up into herself and the hoodie she had stolen from Lyra right before the flight took off.
Everyone was quiet in that car, no one wanted to wake the sleeping girl, and were tired themselves. Before long the hotel came into sight and the real test was seeing who could get the girl to get out of the car as she had refused.
“Lia, we're here. We have to go inside.” Yunho was being as gentle as possible, gently stroking her arm.
“I’ll stay here, it’s okay. The car is comfy,” Lia was half-awake at this point, and both boys who were trying to get her out of the car couldn’t help but smile at her pouting voice.
“No, you have to come inside. You can’t stay in the car,” Yunho was trying again to get her out of the car, and had unbuckled her seatbelt.
“Just let me sleep, please,” She was begging now. In her mind, the car was a perfectly comfortable place to sleep. The car was warm, she was comfy and she was lazy.
Jongho found her pouting adorable and for the first time, he was seeing her act cute. It really sunk in that she was younger than him, even if just by 22 days. Not that he had counted or anything.
As cute as it was, Jongho wasn’t about to let her stay in the car. None of them were about to let her stay in the car, actually.
He signaled for Yunho to move out of the way as he approached Lia, and without hesitation pulled Lia into his body. Before anyone could say anything, Jongho wrapped her legs around his waist and started carrying her into the hotel.
“Wait, wait,” Lyra called from their left, standing with her and Lia's carry-on luggage. She quickly made her way to the youngest two of their soulgroup. She pulled the hood up over Lia’s head to shield her from the light. Lia was out like a light in Jongho’s arms, not even moving as the hood was pulled over her head.
“Okay, okay. She should be good from the lights.” After saying that, Lyra stepped back to collect their luggage and quickly snapped a photo of the two together. This hotel setup was different, the boys were split into four rooms with two beds in each and the girls had gotten themselves a room with two beds just so they had a place to be if they needed it. The girls also wanted the boys to be able to have their space after what they knew would be a tiring next couple of days.
The intentions were there, but no one was surprised when Jongho took Lia to his hotel room rather than taking her to the one she and Lyra had just down the hall. Wooyoung, as the other occupant in that room, didn’t mind one bit and heavily contemplated worming his way into the bed that Lia and Jongho were going to share.
Lyra, who was now alone in the original hotel room the girls had reserved for the stay, sent a quick message to Wooyoung. She knew he wouldn’t be embarrassed at her request and wanted to spare Jongho a little.
Tumblr media
Hotels weren’t Lyra’s favorite thing, but it was nice to be somewhere new. She was comfortable being on her own, and honestly at points craved it, but being alone in that room was different. She wanted to be around the others despite the fact they had just spent hours together. A large part of her wanted to go down the hall and slip into someone else’s room for the night, but her anxiety wouldn’t allow that.
What if no one wanted to see her? They were all very tired and had not only had a day of travel but also practice and other small tasks to complete for their work. What if they found her clingy or annoying?
Her brain was moving a mile a minute, and that feeling had started in her stomach as if something was trying to crawl out of her torso. She was confused, everything was fine. No one was mad at her, there had been no fight and they had gotten to see each other again. Lyra had no idea why she was sitting there on the edge of spiraling into a panic attack.
Thankfully, Lyra never got the chance to fully slip down the anxiety rabbit hole. She was disrupted by someone knocking on the door to the hotel room.
When she opened it, there was Hongjoong. He had changed into some comfy clothes and had put his glasses on. Lyra was convinced that nearly everyone in their soulgroup had awful vision, she and Lia wore glasses every day with the rare occasion in which they would go without for the sake of the fit.
“Hey?” Lyra greeted as she opened the door for him to walk into the room
“Hey, I hope now is not a bad time?” Hongjoong took a few steps into the room and closed the door behind himself. “Oh no, I wasn’t doing anything. What’s up?”
“Uh. well,” Hongjoong stopped briefly like he was contemplating his words carefully. Of all the boys, Lyra felt she had spoken the least to the man before her. Even though they had chatted a bit here and there, and kept a conversation going on the flight, she still found him a bit hard to understand. She knew he had a lot on his plate and didn’t want to make it any worse by needing his attention, so she had been very shy with the Captain of Ateez.
“I know Lia is in the maknaes’ room tonight, and wanted to see if you would like some company?” Hongjoong finished and smiled at her.
“I’d love that actually,” Lyra confirmed with her own smile before glancing at the two beds behind them, “If you’d like I don’t think Lia would mind you sleeping in her bed if that's what you want to do or,” she didn’t finish her words, feeling too awkward and shy to suggest they sleep in the same bed.
“We could share?” Hongjoong seemed to take the thoughts from her head and have the ability to turn them into words.
“Okay, “ Lyra still felt shy but now she was smiling while looking down at her hands and playing with her fingers.
She didn’t see Hongjoong reach out and pull her into an embrace. The next thing she knew her head was tucked into him and their arms were around each other tightly.
They ended up falling asleep in that same position about half an hour later after they had crawled into bed.
The morning came around way too quickly, Hongjoongs alarm went off at 5:30. Listen, Lyra wasn’t a morning person but she also wasn’t someone who couldn’t function in the morning, however, when his alarm went off at 5:30 in the morning she wanted to toss it out the window.
“Your alarm is the worst thing. Ever.” Lyra hadn’t opened her eyes yet and she also refused to let go of the arm that was still in her grip.
“I know, but we have an hour before we have to go to schedules,” Hongjoong hadn’t moved other than to turn his alarm off, and didn’t seem to be making any attempt to leave just yet. Instead, he began to turn in the bed and cuddled deeper into Lyra, practically laying on top of her with his face in her neck.
“I was nervous last night,” Hongjoong began again, “I thought you would say no and not want me to stay.”
“I would never turn you away, honestly I was kinda freaking out last night before you knocked on my door. So, I’m really glad you did.”
“Why were you freaking out?” Hongjoong sat up just slightly so he could look at her face to see if anything was wrong, and before she replied she pulled his head back down to its resting place.
“I really don’t know, but it's all okay now. I think I was a bit overwhelmed with it all,” Lyra was telling the truth, it was better now.
“Good, I don’t want you to ever feel bad,” He was still not fully awake so his words weren’t as coherent as they would have been and his accent was significantly heavier.
Lyra turned her head so she could see him – as well as she could without her glasses – and at the same time, he was turning his head to look at her.
It was a near miss as both of them pulled back from one another and started giggling at the awkward moment they had just caused. Feeling a little emboldened, Lyra decided to tell Hongjoong a small, teeny-tiny secret.
“You know, I’ve never kissed a boy before…” Hongjoong was stunned at her words, in his mind everyone should be trying to fight them for a chance to even be in the presence of either of the girls.
“What?” He was hovering over Lyra now, his face showing genuine confusion at her confession.
“I mean, i’ve kissed girls before and stuff, but i’ve never been romantically involved with boys before” That was just how it was for Lyra, while she and Lia hadn’t been romantically attached she still had only dated girls in the past. It’s not that she wasn’t attracted to men, but she just simply had never been in a relationship with one before.
“Do you want… to kiss boys?” Hongjoong was trying to get a feel for the situation, if she didn’t like boys that was fine. He and everyone else would just be happy being in her life, but he just needed to know so he could understand the boundary.
“Yeah, I do.”
With her words, Hongjoong dipped his head down and pecked her lips with his before raising his head to look at her once again. She was smiling at him and giggling at his actions, it made his heart pound in his chest.
So, he reached his head back down to kiss her again. This time it wasn’t a peck on the lips, but a full-blown kiss. His lips were gently moving against hers and guiding her, Hongjoong would have happily stayed this way for as long as possible.
The loud buzzing from his phone was a real mood killer and also was Hajoon calling him because he needed to start getting ready for his day.
Lia had made her way to their hotel room a little while later, and before long they were in the car with one of the stylists. The girls were going to the venue rather than going to the couple of interviews the boys had before sound check, everyone knew they would be a distraction and didn’t deny it.
“Hello, my name is Eunsook.” The stylist couldn’t take the silence of the car anymore and frankly, Lia couldn’t either.
“Hi! I’m Lia and the quiet one in the back is Lyra.” Lyra waved from the backseat and smiled at the stylist.
“Okay, let me first start with y’all are so adorable with the boys. I saw you guys last night and Jongho carrying you was the highlight of my night, for real I wanted to fangirl. Also, your hair is my favorite. The sectioned off black and white is KILLER!” Eunsook was a very bright character and had a lot of energy for 8AM.
“Oh! Thank you on both counts, I keep forgetting that all the staff on tour know,” Lia laughed a little, “Are you from the US?”
Lia didn’t want her question to come off as rude, but Eunsook’s English was flawless and she had no Korean accent when speaking the language.
“Oh no, I’m canadian. I moved to Korea when I was 18 to start working in the industry,” Eunsook replied as they were pulling into the concert venue.
“That’s so cool, how long have you been with KQ?” Lyra finally chimed into the conversation
“They hired me during the KQ Fella era, so I’ve been around for a while. I worked with SM for a couple years before going to KQ.” The girls were following Eunsook and grabbed a couple of the stylists' bags to help. She seemed to know her way around the setup the best and they didn’t have any tasks, so helping her felt natural.
“Wait? Don’t take this the wrong way, but how old are you? Because you look our age, maybe a year older?” Lia was confused because Eunsook was stunning and honestly could have passed for a 20-year-old.
“I was born in 1995, so I'm about to turn 27 in April.” Eunsook seemed to have to think about it and was using her fingers to double-check her answer, “Yeah, 27.”
‘Damn, You’re hot as hell. I don’t believe that for a second,” Lia is and always will be a bit of a flirt, especially with pretty older girls. She really was impressed with how well the older woman looked.
“She’s right, honestly.” Lyra chimed in as she brought in the last of the stylist's bags into the hair and makeup room, as it was labeled on the door.
“Okay, it’s official. You two are my children and if anyone is mean, I’ll kill them. You’re complimenting me and saying I look 21, yeah you two are under my protection.” There was no room for argument with Eunsook, she didn’t give them a chance.
They ended up spending the morning with the older woman, who was more than happy to have the company. The girls made her laugh and entertained her while she set up the hair and make-up station. The other stylist had gone with the members to their morning schedules, so Eunsook was on her own for the time being.
By the time the boys and the staff that had gone with them made it to the venue it was early afternoon, everything moved very quickly after that. Busy isn’t the right word to explain the happenings backstage in preparation for a concert, it’s insanity.
The girls barely got to see the boys before they went on stage for the show, only getting to quickly tell them good luck before being ushered out into the audience to watch the show from there.
The boys were just as flawless as the first show they had been to. Or in the girls' opinions, they did their job perfectly, but they had learned in their conversations after the concerts they had done in the past week that each member would find something they weren’t pleased with from the show.
Lia found it a little concerning, but she understood because she was the same way. There was something from every stream that she wished she could change or interact with her audience differently. It seemed only natural for them to want to be flawless in their own eyes.
Something the girls did notice during the show was that each one of the boys kept making their way over to the side of the stage they were seated on. While that wouldn’t be a problem normally as they did migrate around the stage as normal, they would linger a little longer than they should during some songs. Even Hongjoong got distracted by the girls, missing a cue to join a dance formation.
As much as they enjoyed watching from the front row and seeing the boys performing so up close, they knew that during the next night's show, they would need to sit in the back or even remain backstage so as to not be a further distraction.
No one seemed to even have the time to sit until they were getting back into cars and heading to the hotel for the night. They were once again split into three cars, but this time the girls were in the same car with Seonghwa and Hongjoong.
“I’m sorry we did not get to spend much time together today.” Hongjoong was obviously worn out from the day he had but still found a reason to feel guilty
Lia was having none of that, “Hongjoong, this is your job. It’s packed full of things and you all have a lot to do. We are here to support you all, and even just being here is enough for the two of us.”
“Yeah, we knew that coming to be with you guys for this weekend wouldn’t be some vacation. It’s about getting to spend time with each other in any way we can for right now. You all worked so hard tonight, and we are happy to just be here,” Lyra said from her spot next to Seonghwa while grabbing his hand. She knew that while the oldest hadn't said anything, he felt the same.
They all probably felt a little bad for the lack of quality time that day. But, as much as they wanted this to be some big fairytale where they could all just exist around each other, it was life and they all accepted they had responsibilities to take care of.
“Do you want to stay in my room tonight?” Seonghwa almost whispered his question to Lyra
“Is Sannie okay with it?” Seonghwa and San were sharing a room at the hotel, and while she was sure San wouldn’t mind she still wanted the confirmation that it was okay.
“Yeah, we talked about it during the Schedules today.” of the boys, Lyra probably communicated with San the most. Lia did too, as a matter of fact. He was a very big texter and liked constantly having a conversation going either in the group chat or in their private messages.
As much as he would deny it, San was just as clingy as Wooyoung. No one minded though, it was nice to give each other attention like that.
“Okay.” Lyra paused before addressing Lia in the seat in front of her, “Are you okay being alone in our hotel room tonight?”
“Oh, well yeah but Yunho asked if he could stay in ours tonight and I said that was fine because I knew you wouldn’t care.” Lia was right, Lyra had expressed to her how much she enjoyed being around the boys. She also had told her about the development with Hongjoong that morning and the sound that had left LIa was surprisingly high-pitched.
“Okay, well then when we get back, i’ll just change and grab a couple things before I come to y’alls hotel room.” Lyra confirmed to Seonghwa while leaning her head on his shoulder.
They all went their somewhat separate ways upon returning to the hotel, the girls heading to their room together.
Lia was gathering her things to take a shower and Lyra was putting on some clothes to sleep in before heading down the hall to spend the night with Seonghwa and San.
“Hey, I’m going to put some music on while I'm in the shower. So, just holler when you head out,” Lia had cut on the water already and was grabbing her phone to put on shuffle while she showered.
Lyra threw her a thumbs up as she grabbed her small toiletry bag, and after gathering her phone charger she was ready to head out the door.
“I’m going down the hall!” Lyra yelled to no response from Lia. As Lyra opened it she was greeted by Yunho who was just a few steps away.
“Hey, I’m staying in San and Seonghwa’s room tonight,” Lyra gave Yunho a quick kiss on the cheek while letting him into the room, “Lia is in the shower, she should be done in the next couple of minutes.” With that Lyra gave him a small smile before finally heading down the hall.
Yunho could hear some music coming from the bathroom as he sat on the edge of one of the beds. He tried to figure out what she was listening to but got distracted by a video on his phone. It was like that for a few minutes before he heard the water cut off and Lia moving around in the bathroom.
“You’re still here? I thought you would have gone down the hall already,” Lia called out as she left the bathroom, thinking that Lyra was the one waiting for her in the room.
“No, I’m here.” Yunho said, causing the girl to jump in surprise. Lia turned around to look at him holding the towel more securely around her body.
“Jesus Christ! You scared me baby, I didn’t realize it was you,” Lia told him as she walked closer to him and gently began to play with the strings of his hoodie with her free hands. Yunho was a bit mesmerized by Lia in that moment. Her wet hair was hanging loosely around her face, and her whole body had a slight blush to it from the heat of the water during her shower.
What really caught his attention was the impression of her nipples against the hotel towel, and the fact that the towel was just covering the tops of her thighs. He couldn’t help but watch as they rubbed together and were obviously freshly lotioned.
“I’m baby?” That was the only coherent thing Yunho could think to say at that moment, his real thoughts were captivated by the need to make Lia’s towel disappear so he could see what lay underneath.
“Of course you’re my baby,” Lia leaned in and kissed him gently, “Why wouldn’t you be my baby?”
Lia was more open with her affection and had made it her purpose to kiss every member before their flight had even departed the day before. She had been stealing kisses here and there when they had gotten the chance in the last 24 hours.
She broke their kiss which was more of a make-out session at this point so she could see his face. He was flushed and breathing shallowly, his gaze was firmly on the soulmate standing in front of him.
He raised his hand to graze the top of the towel covering Lia, looking into her eyes, “Is this okay?” Yunho’s question was loaded, they both knew where this could lead if she let him take the towel from her at that moment.
Lia started nodding her head at him, but he frowned slightly at her.
“I need to hear you say this is okay, Lia.” Yunho needed to hear her consent, to know she wanted this as much as he did.
“This is okay. I want this.” Lia readjusted her grip on her towel and then let it drop to the ground. “I want you, Yunho.”
His lips were on hers again and his large hands were gripping her waist firmly.
Lia let out a whine as Yunho’s mouth moved from her lips down her neck. She wasn’t prepared for the feeling of him nipping at her neck that followed.
Yunho was grinning against her skin at the noises she was making. It was no question that Lia was a chatty person, but to see that translate into her being vocal in this situation turned him on. Everything about this turned him on.
“Fuck me, you just keep getting more sexy.” Yunho said as he caught sight of Lia’s purple nipple piercings.
With her standing between his legs and him sitting on the edge of the bed, her tits were right in front of him. Yunho’s mouth found her left nipple quickly, and Lia was convinced she would float away in the feeling. Her hands went to his hair, needing something to ground herself.
As he switched from one nipple to the other, he made sure to leave his mark across her chest. Just as he had on her neck. Nipping and sucking his path across her body.
Yunho’s hands had their own mission, grabbing and playing with her curves. Yeosang wasn’t the only one who enjoyed the girls' asses. And Yunho could confirm with his handful right now, that it felt as nice as it looked.
Lia was no virgin, but no guy had paid attention to her this way before. If Yunho kept up his gentle biting on her nipples she might cum just from that. She could feel herself getting wet, to the point where she was easily sliding her thighs together to cause some sort of friction.
Like he knew what she needed, one of Yunho’s hands let go of her ass and made its way between her moving thighs. She didn’t wait for him as she grinds slightly against his hand.
“You’re so needy, huh?” He stopped his sucking to meet her eyes. Lia’s only response to his question was to buck against his hand once again.
Yunho didn’t consider himself as dominant as some of the others in their soulgroup, but the one thing he demanded was words. Showing off a little, he moved quickly grabbing Lia by the waist and bringing her down to lay on her back on the bed.
“Answer me, pretty.” Yunho was hovering over her now, his bangs falling back into his eyes. Lia wanted him to fuck her until her bones turned to liquid in her skin. To have his mark stained on her skin.
“I need you. I need you, Yunho.” Lia didn’t care if anyone else could hear her, she was damn near shouting her need for the man above her.
Yunho decided to give her exactly what she was begging for. He shifted his body, his mouth making its way from her neck, down her breasts, and stopping to hover over her core. He looked back up to her face, taking in every feature. Her chest heaving with anticipation and her mouth was open just slightly in pleasure.
His mouth met Lia’s core and he was doing everything in his power not to lose himself in the moment. To pace her, but her sweetness clouded his mind.
Lia drew in a gasp when she felt his mouth on her. The way he was sucking on her clit and using his tongue was something she hadn’t felt before. He was a god at this in her opinion. She could feel two of his large fingers circling her entrance, teasing.
“Oh fuck!” Lia threw her head back as she moaned out the words. Yunho’s fingers pumped in and out of her soaked pussy. He started out gentle, getting Lia used to his pace and allowing her to adjust to his fingers.
“It’s only my fingers, and you’re this wet? I can’t wait to see how sloppy you are around my cock,” Yunho said, picking up the pace with his fingers causing Lia to buck against his fingers. Taking his thumb he started on her clit, watching her squirm in pleasure. Her head was still back against the mattress as she gripped the bedding around her.
“Yunho, please. Please, it feels so good. Fuck me, oh god.” Her words were slurred and hard for Yunho to fully understand as she spoke so fast, but he could read her pleasure all over her body. Her soaked core started to clench around his fingers and her hips moved more wildly. He knew she was close to cumming and he wanted to watch her fall apart because of him.
He went even faster with his fingers, focusing in on her clit with his right hand. With his left, he returned to give some attention to her nipples which were hard against her piercings. As he flicked and played with her nipples she started softly chanting his name in pleasure.
“Please Yunho. Yunho, fuck.” LIa paused, feeling the wave of her orgasm starting, “Yes, Yunho.” Her words were overtaken by her breathy moans as she came on Yunho’s finger.
Yunho brought his fingers up to his mouth and sucked, tasting her on his fingers. “You’re going to ruin my diet, Pretty. I’m not supposed to have things this sweet.” With that, he reached over his head and started pulling his hoodie off.
It took that for Lia to realize he was still fully clothed. He didn’t have a shirt underneath his hoodie, revealing his toned chest and torso. If she wasn’t so desperate to get fuck into the bed by him Lia would have taken the chance to suck his dick dry.
His sweatpants followed quickly and he was working a condom over his hard cock. Yunho kept calling her pretty, but in all his naked glory he looked like Adonis. A light layer of sweat was already clingy to his skin, a smirk etched into his features. Lia couldn’t help but think of the others and if they were anything like this in bed her cause of death would just read ‘the dick was simply too good.’
His first trust in her was slow and steady. Stretching her out and making her feel incredibly full as he took it all the way to the hilt. Lia’s hand went to his hair, then his back to feel him. Yunho let one of his hands drift down to her swollen clit and pulled one of her legs to sit around his waist to give him a better thrust.
Lia was consumed by the haze of pleasure, Yunho was thrusting deep and hard each time. Focusing on her clit and whispering words of encouragement into her ears. She thrived on the praise. Yunho couldn’t get over just how soft she was and how tightly she gripped him. He wanted to last longer but he could feel the pleasure becoming overwhelming, it was like he was having sex for the first time all over again.
Lia was bucking her hips to meet his, the two of them both moaning. Anyone passing the room would know exactly what was going on inside.
With Yunho working her clit and brushing against her g-spot with every thrust Lia couldn’t stop the second orgasm, tossing her head back and scratching down his back with her nails. The slight sting of her nails against his back sent Yunho over the edge. His thrusting became sloppy and his hands both went to hold her thighs as he chased his high.
Yunho wanted to collapse and stay like this forever, but he caught sight of Lia’s now exhausted-looking expression. He pulled himself from her heat and tossed the used condom into the trash can. He came back a few seconds later with a warm washcloth and gently wiped and helped clean her up before slipping back into his sweatpants and grabbing his hoodie for Lia to sleep in.
As he pulled the jacket over her head and laid down beside her to cuddle, Lia turned to look at him, before pulling him into a sweet kiss.
“I can’t imagine life without you, all of you.” Yunho said feeling a little emotional after what they had just done. He was overwhelmed with joy and pleasure. His tether was complete and for the time being, they were all together which made him feel whole.
“You each mean so much to me, with or without sex. I want to spend every moment I can near you, all of you. This was amazing, you’re amazing.” Lia had placed her head on his chest, his heart beating in her ear.
“Let’s get some sleep, Pretty.” Yunho reached over and cut the light off before wrapping his other arm around her to sleep.
“That’s going to be a thing now isn’t it?”
“Do you not like it?”
“If you ever call me anything else, I will cry.” The two couldn’t help but giggle at the playful words and kissed each other again a few times before finally sleeping.
A/N: hello!!! So, I know this took me like a week to get out. Work has been a lot!! I'm coming up with a posting shedule which will probably be Mondays and Thursdays, but nothing is set yet. Also, thoughts on our first smut???? This is my first time writing smut also and was suprisingly harder than I thought it would be. And once again, thanks to my best friend for making the text chats and constantly listening to me talk about this. She really does help with the creative portions of this and this story is as much hers as it is mine.

Chapter I, Chapter II, Chapter III, Next
A/N: enjoy :)
No one could convince Lyra that packing was an enjoyable thing. Trying to decide what was supposed to go with her for the next couple days was more stressful than the phone call with her mother the day after they had made it home from Atlanta and telling her everything that had happened.
In the past few days, a lot had changed and yet at the same time, nothing had changed. Everyday went on as it had before finding out about the other 8 people in their tether. What was really different was the near constant communication with the boys.
As soon as they had gotten inside their apartment after arriving from the hotel, Lia had called Hongjoong which then turned into a facetime call which lasted until nearly midnight. All of them, just going about their business, but on facetime.
Everyday since they had texted constantly, well near constantly, there were times when the boys had schedules and obviously when they were on stage plus Lia had a strict rule about not looking at her phone while on stream. And the one thing that had sent their daily routine into a bit of a spiral was Lia’s announcement to bunnies.
The day after they got home, Lia decided that during her normally scheduled stream, she was going to let them know she was planning to take a break in the near future. More specifically, she told them that from April 1st to June 1st, she would not be going live because she would be moving to the other side of the world.
The cover story, as they had agreed on and what was told to her fanbase that it was so Lyra could follow a job opportunity. This was the exact same thing Lyra told her boss on the same day, in writing setting her official last day at the library as Friday, April 1st. Were both of these announcements very early, yes. Was this the easiest way for the girls to do it, also yes.
To them it was like ripping the bandaid off and didn’t allow for either of them to ponder on the situation or try to back out. Lia promised bunnies two things that would happen during her break. One is that she would be pre-filming a special Sims series to post once a week to her youtube channel through the months she would be gone. Second was she would be posting some vlog style videos of the things she was doing during the break and those would be posted more sporadically.
Bunnies were up in arms for a couple hours after the announcement, but eventually everyone calmed down and wished her well. And now, both girls were trying to figure out what exactly to bring with them.
Both would consider themselves overpackers, but for very different reasons. Lyra was convinced that something would go horribly wrong and ruin her clothes so everything needed a backup. Lia also had this fear, but was more concerned with the fact that she would probably hate at least one outfit she put together by the time she was supposed to wear it, so each one had a backup.
Currently, Lia was debating on just how many pairs of underwear were too many.  Not feeling up to yelling across the apartment to Lyra who was in her room trying to finish shoving things into a carry on, she decided to text her instead

Chaos. Pure unhinged chaos was the only way to describe the group chat between the 10 of them. In the seven days since they had seen the boys they had all gotten comfortable, at least speaking over the phone.
Currently, their favorite thing was for the girls to call them before they went on stage. Everyday, the girls would facetime a different member's phone about an hour before they were set to go on stage and together the girls would wish the entire group good luck for the show.
The girls had no idea just how much it also meant to the boys to hear from them and to know that they were routing for them even though they were separated.
Then each night, the girls would call a different boy, trying to get to know them on a personal level too. They had each fallen asleep on the phone with six of the boys in the past several days, as the first night they were on a giant group call and in just a few minutes they would be on their way to the airport to rejoin their darling boys.
To combat this, they had promised to sit in between the boys they hadn’t gotten to call during their second flight from Dallas to LA.
Lia was going to be sitting between Jongho and Yunho during the flight while Lyra was going to be sitting between Mingi and Hongjoong. The other boys had been pouting on and off about it since the day before. Everything was still new and they wanted to spend as much time together as possible.
The boys had also grown comfortable enough to show their affection for each other in front of the girls. It was Lyra’s favorite thing to watch how each of them had a different way of showing how much they cared for each other. Some were more reserved, only giving a quick kiss to the cheek or pecking someone on the lips while some were more than happy to makeout, sometimes forgetting they were on facetime.
When Lia had been on her call with Yeosang the night before, Wooyoung made a surprise appearance and thank god for Lia reminding them that they weren’t supposed to give hickeys before a concert because Woo is a biter.
Time seemed to drag, even though the girls only had a few minutes before Lyra’s mother would be there to drop them off at the airport, it seemed like they had been trying to put the finishing touches on everything for half an hour now.
Like a mind reader, Hongjoong sent a text checking up on them. They had sent the boys their flight information and knew they were keeping a close eye on them until the were in the air.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the back of Lyra’s mind she wondered how they had gotten this shy bean to turn into a flirt that was almost as bad as Lia, but there was a part of her that also knew this part of his was probably reserved only for his soulmates.
It was odd to think that they got to see a hidden side to the boys, well maybe hidden wasn’t the right word. A special side of the boys and in return, they shared a special part of themselves with them.
It wasn’t even a minute later that both girls could hear a series of honks coming from outside their apartment building. It was a distinct pattern of honks that only belonged to one person, Lyra’s mother.
With that the girls did one last scan of the living room, grabbed their bags and set their alarm before heading out the door.
“Hello Ladies!” Lyra’s mother, Jamie, said from the driver seat as the girls got into the car.
“HI Mom”
“Hey Jamie!”
After everyone was buckled in, they headed toward the local airport, which was only about 20 minutes from the apartment. Jamie had offered to drive them and pick them up so they didn’t have to worry about leaving one of their cars at the airport.
“So, tell me again why i’m letting you both do this? I get that y’all are all soulmates, but neither me nor Ange (Lia’s mother) have met them.” Jamie was a protective mother, and as someone who had never found her soulmate was reluctant to just let things happen.
“Well, we’re grown, so you can’t stop us. But besides that, they’re schedule is not flexible at all. Almost every moment of every day is planned for them, plus they’re currently on tour, Mom.” Lyra and her mother were close enough to be brutally honest with each other.
“She’s right, Jamie. We can’t interfere with their schedule.” It has taken years for Lia to get comfortable enough to drop the Mrs. from Jamie's name, but she had never been afraid to match the blonde woman's energy.
“I just don’t like the idea of the two of you going across the world because of some guys. If something happens, we can’t be there for you two. Y’all will be leaving your families behind.”
Lyra didn’t think she could roll her eyes any harder than she was currently, maybe they would get stuck that way.
“Mom. We’re only going to LA tonight. And you know just how offensive it is to refer to them as just some guys? Do you think we are stupid enough to decide to up and change our entire lives for some random dudes?” Lyra’s tone had gone from passive to stern with her mother in an instant. She knew her mother always had something to say, and she loved her for it, but right now her mother wasn’t even trying to see the whole situation. “Listen Mom, I understand you have a very particular viewpoint on soulmates, but the situation is what it is. We have two months before we leave for Korea and in that time I promise you will get to know them in some way, even if it's a couple phone calls. But a time comes for everyone when they have to make a choice in life, to take the chance at happiness or to be complacent. Frankly, we don’t want to give them up and the chance at feeling whole with the people we are destined to be with.”
With that, Jamie had run out of words and arguments. The truth was, she didn’t have anything against the boys. From the little bit of research she had done into them, they seemed like good people, but this was her daughter. In her mind, both girls were her daughter even if they weren’t romantically involved. She was scared at the thought of her youngest child being on the other side of the world. She may have never found her soulmate, but her children and their soulmates, the makeshift family they had all created together, was her whole world.
“It’s all going to be okay, Mom.” Lyra said as she came to a stop to let them out of the car as they had arrived at the airport drop off.
“I trust you both, and love you both. Just please be careful in LA and call me when you land in Dallas.” Jamie got out of the car to hug them both around the neck and watched them walk into the airport before pulling away.
Overall, Jamie had been the most stressful part of the whole check-in process at the airport. That was one of the good things about it being a small airport was that there was barely anyone there. They would go from Columbia to Charlotte with only a twenty minute layover before going from Charlotte to Dallas.
They wouldn’t really even get the chance to call or text anyone during their layover at Charlotte as their plane had arrived late and they had to run from Gate A2 to Gate C14 with only 10 minutes before their flight was set to take off. So, their flight planning skills were less than brilliant, oops.
It was just under 3 hours from Charlotte to Dallas, and thankfully this plane left on time and arrived about 5 minutes earlier than scheduled. That last walk from the plane into the terminal was nerve wracking. The girls knew they would be meeting Hajoon there before going to a private lounge, yet neither of them could stop the jumpiness that set into their bones.
Lia saw Hajoon first and helped guide Lyra, who had gone ahead and called her mother toward the manager.
“Hello again, Hajoon!” Lia put on a blinding smile as she gave a small wave to the man. He nodded in return, offering his own hello.
“Can I help either of you with any bags or help you carry anything,” Hajoon asked quietly as they walked toward the lounge. Lyra was still on the phone with Jamie, but shook her head at him with a polite smile before mouthing ‘i’m okay, but thank you.’
“It’s okay, we only have one bag each and our purses. We’ve got it, but it’s very nice of you to offer. Really, we’re very grateful for you helping us with all of this. It’s been more than we could have ever asked for.”
Lia’s words were true. Hajoon had gone out of his way for them countless times, not only the last time they had seen the boys but in the last week he had helped them with the NDA KQ had asked them to sign. It had nothing to do with their relationship, but it was very strict and clear that they weren’t supposed to talk about any unreleased music or content coming out for Ateez.
It was surprising, all of the higher ups were more than pleased that the boys had found the last two in their tether. They were behind them in this as much as they were behind the boys. It was heartwarming to see how close they were with their artists and how much they truly cared for their well being.
Lyra finally got off the phone and properly greeted Hajoon as she caught up with them.
“Lia now would probably be the best time to film in this airport, just so you don’t have to leave the group later on.”
“Yeah, hold on let me get my camera out, it is okay if we go a bit slower Hajoon? It’ll let me get some decent footage of the airport.”
“Sure, we’ve got time to spare before take off and have to cross the airport to get to the lounge. Get what you need.” He was no stranger to content needing to be filmed and how to stay out of the line of the camera.
Lia spent the next few minutes as they navigated their way through the airport speaking to her camera, getting some shots of her and Lyra here and there. It wasn’t very intense filming as the vlogs were very casual and wouldn’t be regular content through the break.
She finished up as they were passing the cluster of restaurants that was dead center of the airport.
“Have you all eaten? The boys, you and the other staff?” Lyra asked Hajoon, she knew that her and Lia had very little time to sit and eat through their long day of travel.
“Oh, we all had lunch and the lounge has some finger foods. We’ve been slightly off schedule today, so we will probably get something for everyone soon. Why? Are you hungry?”
Lyra couldn’t help but grin at Hajoon’s instinct to take care of others first. “I am hungry, but I was asking because we’re right here. I’m sure you would know what everyone would want to eat, it’s on me tonight, so let's go ahead and stop.”
“Oh no, it’s my responsibility to take c-”
“Hajoon. You take wonderful care of everyone, even me and Lia who are not your responsibility. I know buying food and treating people to food is very important in Korean culture. This may not be a large meal out with delectable meats, but please. Let me show our gratitude this way, until we can take you all out to a wonderful dinner.”
Hajoon was touched at the effort the girls were making and after a little more arguing, gave in and let Lyra buy the food for everyone. They settled on buying fried chicken for everyone who was currently with them as a large portion of the staff had already made their way to LA. Those who were flying with them were mostly managers, security for the boys, and one of the stylists.
All of the staff on tour had been notified of the soulgroups situation, and upon the return of Ateez to Korea the rest of the company who needed to know would be informed. The girls were hesitant for so many people to know, the boys were private people and this was their livelihood. Who knew what the reaction would be from fans if someone told them when the boys weren’t prepared to address it.
Hajoon and the boys let them know that everyone who worked at the company was contractually obligated to a strict level of confidentiality. It was apparently so legally binding that if someone were to leak information on the boys, about their music or personal affairs, they would not only be terminated but may also face legal repercussions as a violation of privacy in Korea. It was intimidating, just the thought of how much went into this new life they were stepping into.
But even just the week of talking to them over the phone was more than enough for them to know it was more than worth it.
After giving the poor workers at the chicken place a heart attack with their order, they were off once again and at the lounge. Hajoon had taken Lyra’s suitcase from her to make it easier for her to carry the bags of food.
He entered the lounge first and every one of the boys whipped their head to the manager. In seconds they were all standing trying to crowd around the door as the girls came in after Hajoon.
“Wow, I knew you guys liked fried chicken, but damn. I didn’t know it was enough to get this type of reaction,” Lyra couldn’t help but make a joke about the boys reaction to them entering the room. Affection was hard for her, it was one thing for Lia to show her some affection and be excited to see her. It was still hard for her to think that any of this was real, and they were just as overjoyed to see her as she was to see them.
She placed the bags of food on one of the tables in the lounge and told Hajoon to get the staff so they could grab some food first then they and the boys would get their food after.
“YA! I don’t care about the food,” It was Wooyoung who had wrapped his arms around her from the back pulling her into a hug, “I’m excited to see you!”
Lyra gently grabbed his hand that was resting around her waist and squeezed it before turning around to give him a proper hug. Wooyoung was only three inches taller than her, so Lyra’s head fit perfectly into the crook of his neck.
Over his shoulder she could see Lia getting pulled into a hug by San, him picking her up off her feet just slightly causing her to let out a little yelp. At that Lyra let go of Wooyoung so she could go see the other boys and give them their own hugs.
As she let him go, she turned her head towards his and was met with him doing the same. Their faces were so close that even one small tilt of the head the two could be kissing, but instead she just grinned at him.
“I missed you,” Wooyoung’s voice was quiet as he spoke the words to her
“I missed you,” Lyra had a brief burst of confidence as she kissed his cheek before heading over to pull Mingi into a hug.
Lia had already been able to see San, Hongjoong, and was now in the arms of Yeosang. Yeosang had a death grip on Lia, he didn’t say anything as he held on to her just savoring her being there. The playful persona he had taken up with them slipped for a second, but before Lia could even process that she felt his hand go from her lower back to her ass. Then he squeezed.
“SIR! THAT IS MY BEHIND!” Lia was not quiet in her words causing a few eyes to turn toward the couple and particularly to where Yeosangs had was still on her butt.
“I am very aware. It’s nice and soft.” He gave it one last squeeze before letting her go and flashing her a smirk.
“You, specifically, are going to be the death of me.” Lia said to him over her shoulder as she went to hug Jongho.
Some greetings were longer than others as some boys were more comfortable with physical touch at this stage. The same with the girls, Lia thrived on physical closeness but Lyra was more hesitant. It wasn’t something she was accustomed to receiving from anyone other than Lia and even then it was mostly just her holding her hand or generally being close to her.
Lyra tended to show her affection through her actions or words, which sometimes worked out and sometimes didn’t.
“Get some chicken, please. I’ll go last, I really don’t mind.” Lyra and Hongjoong had been going back and forth for a minute or two now about who would go last in grabbing their food.
“You choose first, I am okay taking whatever is left.” Hongjoong tried putting on his leader's eyes in a silent attempt for her to give into him.
“Sweetheart. If you don’t get you food right now I will not be a happy camper. I know you all had practice today and you’re all exhausted. Get all the food you want, there will be more than enough food for me after you’ve gotten all you want.” Lyra challenged in her own way turning on her stern southern lady voice in that moment. She was smiling at him and her words were confusing to him, but her eyes left no room for argument.
To the surprise of all the boys, and the staff who were secretly invested in the small bickering of the two, Hongjoong gave in and went about getting his food.
“Wow, how did she do that?” Mingi wasn’t sure if he was more scared or impressed that Lyra had just pulled that move on their captain as he asked Lia to explain.
“She can be very persuasive when she wants. She very rarely takes charge like that, but she kinda like a mama bear sometimes. I think she’s used to taking care of people, she took care of her dad her whole childhood and has taken care of me anytime I get even slightly sick since we were teenagers.” Lia was eating her chicken beside Mingi and looking at him.
“You get sick?” Seonghwa asked from the other side of her.
“I have a crappy immune system, so I catch colds easily. Like this past week I had a pretty constant headache and Lyra was making sure I had everything I needed or keeping me from overworking myself.” Lia was casual in her response, not realizing the concern she had stirred in the boys sitting around her.
Lia was focusing on her food when she felt a hand start playing with the back of her hair before carding through it. It was Seonghwa, playing with her hair and looking intently at her.
“Please, don’t be sick. I don’t want you to be unwell, especially if I can’t be there to take care of you.” His words were so gentle.
Lia smiled at him softly before speaking, “I will do my best to be healthy, but that means you and everyone else have to do the same. Don’t think me or Lyra are blind to how tired you all are right now.”
Seonghwa smiled at her and nodded, still playing with her hair. Everyone was settled around the room just waiting until they were to get on the plane, some of the boys seemed to be fighting off sleep now that they were fed and all their soulmates were in the same place.
The time came to board the plane, the boys and security went first. Then the staff and the girls followed. Almost all of the first class was full of KQ staff and the soulgroup save for one or two empty seats.
Take off was Lyra’s least favorite part of a plane ride, the feeling of leaving the ground made her whole body hurt. It was like being on a rollercoaster, as the plane took off Lyra grabbed both Hongjoong and Mingi’s hand in hers and squeezed hard.
This caused both boys to turn their heads toward her, seeing her eyes closed tight and her jaw clenched telling them what they needed to know. Her grip lessened as the plan steadied itself in the air.
“Are you okay?” Mingi asked Lyra from her left
“I’m okay” she answered still holding both of their hands
“You sure?” Hongjoong asked on her right
“As long as you’re all here, I’ll be okay,” she was smiling at them now, but made no move to let go of their hands.
A row back, Lia was between Jongho and Yunho. She was playing with Jongho’s hand and had pulled Yunho’s hand to sit in her lap for now with full intention to play with his next. She knew she would fall asleep before long, the calming hum of the plane always got to her.
LA was only a few hours away and then they would get three whole days together. Well, as together as they could be with the boys schedules and concerts, but they would be there nonetheless.

Chapter I, Chapter II, Next
A/N: enjoy :)
Lyra has always been a notoriously bad sleeper, the softest of sounds could wake her up and many times her own anxiety would keep her from finding a restful sleep. It was no surprise that the sound of Yeosang getting out of the other bed in the room to use the bathroom woke her up.
She felt like a child again, who had been placed in their bed after falling asleep somewhere they shouldn’t have. What confused Lyra the most was why she was cuddled in between San and Wooyoung instead of on the couch like she and Lia had said. Not that she was really complaining, both of the boys on either side of her were super cuddly and warm.
But she knew one thing, she was up and not going back to sleep. Also, she hoped Yeosang got out of the bathroom fast because the longer she sat and blankly looked at the hotel ceiling the more she realized she had to pee.
Like he could read her thoughts, Yeosang exited the bathroom a few seconds after the thought crossed her brain. He must not have realized she was awake as he quietly slipped out of the room into the sitting room and kitchenette of the hotel suite.
Getting to the bathroom proved to be more difficult than Lyra expected, you would be surprised at how reluctant a sleeping San is to let go of whatever he is cuddling. In this instance, it just so happened to be Lyra. The moment she slipped out of his grip and down the front of the bed trying to not disturb Wooyoung, San grumbled slightly before adjusting to cuddle with the other remaining person in the bed.
After her quick trip to the bathroom – and realizing because of their impromptu sleepover neither she nor Lia had a toothbrush – Lyra made her way to join Yeosang in the larger shared space.
“Good morning,” despite her general displeasure at being up this early, Lyra was nowhere near grumpy to Yeosang.
“Goo’ Morning,” answered Yeosang through a mouthful of what looked to be Cheerios, smiling over to her.
Looking around, Lyra spotted the hotel room's coffee maker and the k-pods the hotel had provided. Not wanting to over step and use the coffee without permission, she turned back to Yeosang who was looking at his phone briefly.
“Um…” Lyra started getting the dark haired man's attention, “Is it okay if I make some coffee?”
Yeosang seemed to giggle and nodded slightly, his eyes were full of amusement, finding the award nature of the girl in front of him endearing. “You can make coffee, it's fine, I don’t drink much coffee and at least half of the ones still sleeping will go on the search for an Iced Americano as soon as they get up.”
Making her way over to the coffee maker, she began messing with the machine to get everything ready to brew.
“Oh, I know this is weird but you guys wouldn’t have any extra toothbrushes would you? We don’t have ours cause you know,” She asked over to the boy who shook his head signaling that they did not.
“I don’t think so, I will text Hajoon to get you both one. Is there anything else?” Yeosang looked down to his phone to text his manager.
Tumblr media
“Oh, that's really sweet thank you, and I think so?” Lyra turned back to the coffee machine and suddenly became all too conscious of the fact the t-shirt she was in barely covered her ass.
Which was now directly in front of Yeosang as she tried to quickly make coffee.
As soon as she finished putting water in the machine and placed a cup under the drip, she went and found her clothes from the night before and scrambled back toward the bathroom to put more clothes on. While she was in the bathroom she began to panic text Lia, trying to get her to wake up and answer her, also intent on asking who put her in bed.
Tumblr media
Yeosang, the ever respectful one, had absolutely been staring at her ass peeking out from the bottom of Jongho’s shirt. The cute pink underwear he had caught a glimpse of were a nice touch, if he had any say.
Maybe it was the smell or sound of the coffee maker or the sound of Lyra scrambling into the bathroom that caused the others to begin to stir.
By the time her coffee was done and she had added enough creamer and sugar to make it palatable nearly everyone was awake and moving around darting back and forth between the suite.
“I swear, it’s so  good! You can’t say you don’t like southern sweet tea if you’ve never had it! I don’t think I could live without it. ” Lyra was passionately debating with Yeosang next to him still in the kitchenette. His response to her instance that sweet tea was the nectar of the gods was just to grimace and shake his head.
“Don’t listen to her, it’s fine but she just has an addiction. We’ve been working on less sweet tea intake,” Lia said finally making her way into the living space.
Lia was the opposite on the tea debate, she was an unsweet tea drinker. It was maybe one of the only points of contention between the two girls. She was still in only the shirt from the night before and had much less concern with the fact that everyone could see her whole ass at the moment.
“Lia, you wanna go put some pants on? The last thing we want is Hajoon walking in and seeing your whole ass out,” Lyra teasingly called over to the girl causing several of the boys faces to go bright red as they desperately looked away from Lia’s backside and to the door in perhaps fear.
“Fuck pants and the patriarchy. I got a nice ass, let him see it,” Lia gave herself a light smack on the butt as she returned her attention to the coffee she was trying to make. Her action caused Mingi to start choking on his sip of drink.
She had definitely become comfortable around the boys and was easily showing her normal personality.
Lyra couldn’t help but roll her eyes and smile at the other girl's behavior, “Okay you nudist, I'm serious. Hajoon has gone out of his way to get us some toothbrushes, and is on his way. Please don’t cause the dude to have a heart attack.”
After Lia’s coffee started brewing she turned with an exaggerated sigh and made her way to change, just as she was about to enter the room she had slept in Yeosang called out to her,
“It’s cute, that you two have matching tattoos on your butt,” the shyer man was gone and replaced by a menace. It was lyra and Lia’s turn to become bright red. Lia hurried into the room to change and all Lyra could do was avoid making eye contact.
“So, you did see my butt this morning?” Lyra asked, still looking at the floor and ignoring the snickers coming from the other boys, mainly Seonghwa and Wooyoung. The two were a little too happy with the girls getting teased.
“Emmmhmm, what did it say again ‘bite me’?”, with Yeosangs words Lyra wanted to melt away. What gave this man the right to be so hot in this moment, really she felt like she might just die.
Soon enough, Hajoon was there with the glorious supplies (He even got them some deodorant, he was easily on his way to being the girls favorite staff member forever), Lia had clothes on, and everyone settled to finish their conversation from the night before.
“We would like you two to join us on the rest of the tour, and then come with us to Korea…” Hongjoongs words were neither a statement or a question, maybe they were something in between. The boys all had a nervous energy to them now, they had all been thinking about this for so long and had run through so many seniors of how this would go.
The girls, on the other hand, were a little stunned. Not even a full 24 hours ago did they even know that this was part of their lives or ever going to be. But, just as they had spoken about in the car the night before. This felt right and something in both of them told them was where they needed to be.
Lia and Lyra looked at each other, both of them nodded in agreement.
“Um, I think we can do that. Let’s start with joining you for the rest of the tour and then worry about Korea a little later, how long are you on tour for?” Lia started asking, needing to know the logistics of what was about to happen. Joining them would be a total upheaval of both of their lives and they would have to put in a lot of effort to make things go smoothly.
“We finish in the US by the end of the month before a small break, then we go to Europe in April,” Yunho explained the details of their tour, which was broken up with some breaks in between and then there was another tour that would be more consistent during the later part of the year and into the beginning of 2023.
There were some long and kinda difficult moments, no one said it out loud but they didn’t want to be separated for a long amount of time. Partially in fear of someone getting soul sickness and partially because they simply wanted to all be together.
But the conclusion was, the girls would need time to put everything in order before they could come with them full time.
They had lives to put in order, while Lia’s job was flexible and she could stream for anywhere it wasn’t ideal for her to stream in a hotel suite and she cared for her fans. This would give her time to let them know some big changes were coming and prepare some things on her Youtube that acted like a back up.
Lyra would eventually have to leave her job altogether. It was hard for her to accept, she loved her job at the library and all the people she worked with. There was also the other problem she had, she hated feeling useless and unhelpful.
In order for her to feel as though she had something worth contributing she would finally put her minor in language to use. While she didn’t speak Korean, she did read and write it pretty well. She was conversational in French and Spanish.
Once they joined up with the boys again, she would shadow their translator and then KQ would decide if they wanted to extend a job offer. Hajoon has a surprising amount of power within the company, and was more than willing to offer some input.
It was confusing to the girls why he had stayed for their conversation, but it made sense once he started talking on behalf of the company. It was shocking at how accepting KQ was with all of this, the boys didn’t have a dating ban nor did the company ever ask them to keep their tether a secret. They had made the choice to be private with their tether before they debuted in order to have something to keep to themself. Now with the addition of the girls, they thought that keeping this privacy was still a good thing to do.
They weren’t going to hide anything, but they weren’t going to announce anything either. They all agreed to keep PDA – at this point the only people who didn’t feel the slightest bit awkward at the topic of conversation were Wooyoung and Lia, the two of them were thriving – to a minimum.
The agreement was that if at any point, any person decided they wanted to revisit how they went about it they would all sit down and talk about it.
April seemed years away when they finally said it out loud. As much as they wanted to go through the rest of the US tour with them, it just wasn’t possible. The boys had another show in three days and both girls needed to go home.
They agreed that they would meet up with the boys before they left and had to spend two months apart. They would join them in one week as they left Texas and headed to LA, they would stay with them through the end of the US leg. It worked out for Lyra and her job too as those dates fell on a Friday - Monday.
She didn’t work on Mondays and the girls were going to fly from Columbia to Dallas at 6 in the afternoon, meeting the boys at the airport before taking the flight to LA.
It all seemed to plan, until Lia brought up the one last thing they would have to deal with,
“You’re going to have to meet our families at some point before we join you in April. I wouldn’t bring it up if it wasn’t a huge thing, but both of our moms are…” She stopped and made eye contact with Lyra.
Together, the two of them finished the sentence, “A lot. They’re a lot.”
“And my older brother is a bit over protective, if you didn’t meet him, I’m sure he would pull some strings to try and put me on a no-fly list,” Lyra tried to make her words as light as possible, but was all too aware of her brother’s reactions.
“No-fly list?” San seemed a little confused with his question, but asked it anyway
“My brother works in the government and law enforcement, he knows some people. But please don’t worry, his soulmate will keep him in line.” The boys didn’t exactly seem convinced by her words and just nodded along instead.
It was about 11 in the morning by this point, and the girls would need to head home around noon. So in an effort to leave everything on a high note, the boys suggested they order some lunch and play a game to get to know each other more.
After they decided a pizza, really ordering food with them was a bit of a nightmare as they all wanted something different but pizza was easy and fast, and decided to play a modified version of twenty questions.
There would be twenty questions asked in total, but answering them was more of a task than just saying the answer and everyone had to answer every question.
To start off, the first question asked by Hongjoong was, “When are your birthdays, we should stand in order of our ages…”
The two girls snickered knowing that this was going to be entertaining as they already knew the boys' ages and didn’t know just how old the boys thought they were.
The boys were quick to stand shoulder to shoulder in order of birthdate, from left to right it was Seonghwa, Hongjoong, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and then finishing them out was Jongho.
“Okay, first and this doesn’t count for the game. But how old do you think we are?” Lia really wanted to know, because even though she was a streamer, one of the things she had never really revealed was just exactly how old she was or when her birthday was. It’s something she kept relatively private to keep the crazy people who sent her unsolicited dick pics away as much as possible.
“I think,” Seonghwa started with an over exaggerated thinking face, “You’re both a year older than me and Hongjoong, 1997! Born 1997!” With his statement all the boys seemed to agree, even Jongho who was quiet for a minute and sizing them up eventually agreed with Seonghwa’s proclamation.
The girls shared a mischievous look and without a word, decided to go stand in the line where they belonged. Much to the surprise of the boys, both Lyra and Lia went to the end where Jongho was located. Lyra stood between him and Wooyoung while Lia took her spot at the very end of the line as the new baby of the group.
It was quiet for all of half a second before the boys lost their shit. Some Korean exclamations flew across the room as the boys expressed their surprise before Mingi asked the girls to tell them the date of their birthdays.
“We’re only five months apart, but I was a grade above her in school,” Lyra started explaining to the boys, “My birthday is June 20, 2000.” Lyra said looking down to Seonghwa and sending him a little wink
“She’s a gemini and I’m a scorpio. My birthday is November 3, 2000. I’m the baby,” Lia said as she put a hand under her chin and made a cute face up at Jongho. The maknae of the group had been looking between the two of the girls with a grin on his face.
“HA! My age, yes!” Jongho let out a victory cry and pumped his fist in the air at his apparent win in this situation.
“Don’t get any ideas, we ain’t call nobody Oppa, in a sexual way that is” Lyra said kinda joking, kinda not.
“She’s right, if i had it my way everyone will be calling me Daddy,” Lia was absolutely kidding as she broke from the line up and plopped down on a seat but the looks on Mingi’s and Seonghwa’s faces made the joke seemed maybe not like a joke, anymore.
Mingi was a blushing mess, he could flirt up a storm but when someone flirted with him. Game over, Mingi.exe error 404 not found.
Seonghwa was a different story, his eyes were going back and forth between the two girls with this glint in them. It made a chill go down both girls' spines, he looked like he wanted to eat them and neither of them were complaining.
The game continued on for a few rounds, everyone figuring out some small things like the fact that Lyra was a die hard Mint Chocolate fan to which Hongjoong couldn’t stop himself from making a face. Lia also made the boys promise to try her Mama’s collards. The boys were introduced to the South Carolina Gamecocks and the religion that is College football, Jongho was totally on board with the idea of going to a game if they were to ever get the chance.
Soon the game had ended and everyone knew what came next, a goodbye.
While gathering the last of their things, Lyra realized that she was still wearing Jongho’s shirt as she had only put her shorts on when getting dressed.
“Oh, Jongho, give me just a second and I'll change into my crop. Do you want me to leave your shirt on your bed?” Lyra started to make her way toward the room she had slept in the night before.
“It’s okay, please keep the shirt.” Jongho said shyly as a bright red blush came across his face, “You look cute in my clothes.”
With those words, Lyra was just as red in the face. Trying to hide her blushing face, she ducked her head into the collar of the shirt and for the first time she realized that it smelled like him. Clean and like what she could only assume was their laundry detergent. She could only blush harder.
“Are you going to try and give mine back?” San questioned Lia who had come to sit on the arm of the couch right beside him. She was no longer wearing the shirt, as she had fully changed into her outfit from the concert.
“Hmmmmm,” Lia started, “You know, I’m not sure. I felt really cute in it and was thinking about wearing it again tonight, but if you want it back that’s fine too.”
It was becoming clearer and clearer to everyone just how much of a playful spirit Lia was and for a split second Hongjoong could have sworn she was just a female Wooyoung with her teasing. But San was all to familiar with dealing with this type of bratty nature.
“Keep it, so anytime you wear it or even see it, I know I'll be on your mind.”
San was a good flirt, Lia would give him that but she considered herself a master. As she went to lean in and say something to continue the conversation her alarm blared, signaling that the two girls had to head out now if they wanted to make it home by 4.
“Well, that’s our cue.” The room went quiet with Lyra’s words and no one moved for a couple seconds.
The boys then all stood and Lia came to stand with Lyra by the hotel suite door.
“Two things before we go,” Lia said looking at the boys, “we need your phone numbers so we can text and call and stuff.”
At that Hongjoong pulled out his phone, “Put both of your numbers in and I will send them to everyone. That will be easier than us putting our numbers in one by one.”
While Lia started putting both her and Lyra’s contacts on his phone, Lyra started to speak.
“The other thing was, we were wondering if it would be okay to get some hugs before we left?” Lyra paused for a second before becoming shy and looking down to where she was anxiously wringing her hands. “We’re just going to miss you guys, even though it's only a week.”
With not a second thought the boys started pulling the girls into hugs left and right. Each one of the hugs were long and they all held on to each other like they never wanted to let go. No one said goodbye, because they didn’t want to admit it to themselves and wanted to hold on to the good feelings they had created. Besides, it wasn’t a goodbye as they would see each other in a couple days and would without doubt communicate as much as possible between then and now.
“Okay, please use it to let us know when you make it home.” Hongjoong was frowning, like the rest of the boys, obviously not wanting the two girls to go.
“You can call us or text us, and let us know. That would work too.” Seonghwa offered to the girls as the group followed them out into the hall of the hotel.
“We will let you know when we’re home, I promise.” Lyra said, looking over at the two oldest members.
As bitter sweet as it was, the girl had to leave. All of Ateez watched them walk down the hall until they turned a corner and they could no longer see the girls.
This was going to be a long seven days, no one could imagine how two whole months was going to work.
As the girls got into Lia’s car, their phones dinged. Hongjoong had started a group chat as he promised, sending them a cute message of parting.
