Crazy how I still have to deal with going to church when I visit my mom because she refuses to accept that I'm not religious and will throw a childish tantrum and ruin my whole vacation if I don't.

I sat down and one of the first things I noticed is a swastika carved into the pew in front of me. So much for love thy neighbor.

There's something amazing about Karen/Kevinhood—the absolute ballsiness of being wrong and just going ahead with it. It's utterly fascinating to me.

I went on my usual school pickup today, which is just a 5 minute walk. My neighbors sometimes drive and it boggles my mind because school traffic and parking is so abysmal, but I digress... Well, not technically.

As I reached the street opposite the school, I saw a lady get out of her car, proceed to cross the street, and shouted at a man: "I was going to park there!" I hoped maybe it was someone she knew and she was being playful. Nope.

He replied, "no, you were on the wrong side of the road," to which she countered "it doesn't matter!"

Meanwhile, other people had turned their attention to the squabble and I'm sure we were all thinking "Yes, it does. He is legally right." People pull U-turns in the area all the time because they know they can't just veer into opposite traffic to park.

He again told her that she was wrong and she continued to loudly complain that it didn't matter and that she was 'there' first. Only when he started raising his voice did she stop, because I think maybe fear outweighed her entitlement at that point... also, we were outside of a school for goodness sake. How could she not think of the children!? 😂

We did have a brief encounter with her when she walked by us with her kid saying "Excuse us," which is not really an issue in itself but, oh man, did her tone just ooze of Karenness. H is nowhere as judgmental as I am and even he was like 😬

H recently bought Pokemon Crystal and started playing it and I mentioned I play Silver and that I have 100+ hours clocked and still haven't finished the game. He told me I have OCD for the sole reason that I absolutely must train all of my Pokemon.

H: You're crazy and level all your Pokemon for some reason. Me: Because that's what a true Pokemon master does! A Pokemon master does not just favor 6 Pokemon! H: That's how it's done! Me: No! A Pokemon master takes care of all their Pokemon. H: A Pokemon master only has 6 Pokemon!

Lol... So what I'd do is, when I get a badge, it'll tell me Pokemon up to x level will obey me. I will then proceed to train every single Pokemon I have to this level. Then I go and get the next badge and repeat. Obviously, the solution would be to not catch as many Pokemon. But I can't NOT catch the new Pokemon I see...

Aaand this is why I still haven't finished the game.

I drew this last month but sat on it for a bit because I just wasn't in the mood to post it. But since the update of Clip Studio, I wanted to mess around with the new tools. I used the shading assist to add to whatever I had already done and gave it more of a backlight look. I also decided to rework my watermark to cover the whole image just... because.

I really should continue practicing drawing these two before I resume working on the webcomic...

At my primary vet with the rest of my cats for their annual exam. It was a battle and I'm out of bandages...

I took my cat to the vet yesterday and the bill was $660 because we had to run some tests on him; we hadn't even gotten the results yet, I ended up having to take him to the emergency vet today. So far I'm out a few thousand dollars and may have to pay a few thousand more if he has to stay longer for recovery.

So commissions will be very much appreciated right now (info on my pinned post). Or if you have any ideas on what videos I can make to put on YouTube, let me know.

I think it was the doll design mentioned in one of the reblogs that did it for me, where it got me going "Okay, now things are getting sketchy." And quite frankly, I doubt the series is written that far in advance as that guy would like you to think, considering all the production fiasco we've seen.

I wrote a fic a long while back where the class decides to play soccer and Alix and Kim get into an argument because Alix wants to play girls vs boys and Kim doesn't want to because that'd make it too easy for him since there's no way the girls can win.

I dropped the show near the end of S2 but heard that this ends up happening in one of the episodes. Honestly, this is something I can see as being a coincidence. However, I was told that in the canon one, Kim thinks that it's the girls that will win. To which I went, "Excuse me? Kim, that sweet, sweet, arrogant child that thought he could outrun a panther?? That Kim?" I don't even know these characters anymore! Lol.

I'm mainly laughing at these tags because there's really is no better way to describe how absolutely wild and nonsensical things are in that show.

With all the talk of whether or not the show's crew is stealing ideas from fans, this brings up a question:

What do you think should be the limit where we go from "this is just the show naturally progressing" to "they're blatanly stealing ideas froms fans"?

I would say when stuff gets too specific. For example: turtle Nino could be a coincidence. Both the design and name used being nearly identical (though for separate characters) after admitting to reading that fanfic is stretching it. So like, basic ideas can be similar, the implementation and actualization needs to be unique.

Every time I shop for nude/skin-colored bras, I'm reminded of this segment I read in one of those magazine subscriptions my older sister got (Seventeen?) where they asked guys what they found sexy/unsexy. There was one guy who went off about how unsexy nude underwear is and how it's such a turn off for him. I found it hilariously obnoxious at the time, and still do.

For those who don't know, a bra close to your skin tone is great under white/light-colored clothing where you'd otherwise have issues with your bra showing through. I seem to find this issue a lot when I'm reading reviews for clothing, especially white clothing, and it gets kind of annoying after a while lol.

Sometimes I think about how my mom missed out on a whole ass tailoring education because she's left-handed and they did not allow use of the left hand. She could not, for the life of her, use scissors with her right hand. She told me about all the other left-handed girls who were forced to use their right hands to cut and it was always so sloppy.

When she first started her education, the teacher was more relaxed because they were beginners. So she would leave the classroom to cut her fabric outside where the teacher wasn't watching. All she learned were the basics and how to make trousers. As the class advanced, the teachers became more strict and she could no longer hide that she was cutting with her left hand, so she had to quit.

Despite that, she still learned how to sew from books and critiques everything I make lol. Can't even use the "nobody taught me" excuse with her 😂

Wattpad really makes me loathe getting comments. Yes, please let me know what you think after each chapter or once you've finished reading the whole thing. I do not need your commentary on EVERY. SINGLE. SENTENCE. I hate checking my email to see a shit ton of notifications from Wattpad saying someone left a comment only for it to be "haha" every other fucking paragraph. What is WRONG with you people?

I'm taking a nice little pause from home improvement projects because I haven't had a good sit down at my computer in so long. It's been a few months since I took the time to draw something and I thought my head would be nice and clear now to think of what to draw, but nope! So I went to one of my old traditional pen drawings and worked on that.

Most of the background and flourishes are courtesy of other artists who contribute to CSP assets. I do enjoy how much time they save me but at the same time, it makes me wonder at what point I stop becoming an artist because I rely on them too much lol.

I think I might spend some more time today drawing and then I'll be back to working on the house.
