James and Sirius started wearing chains together. Well, they always accompanied each other in idiotic endeavours, didn't they? Remus was very annoyed of their new "fashion", but had they ever listened to him?

Seventh year started and Lily Evans became Potter's girlfriend, and she hated those stupid chains. After some arguments, James gave up his chains. As expected, Sirius created a huge scene about it. James offered Sirius his chains as compensation: "You can always feel me around you," James joked while Sirius rolled his eyes and refused.

A few years later, Sirius sat beside James's lifeless body. His eyes, stinging with pain and revenge, fell upon a silver chain swinging from his own neck. Never did he thought, he would need the extra pair.

Sirius Black liked being touched

As someone who had been deprived of the mother touch, Sirius never knew how it felt to be touched until baby Regulus curled his tiny hand around his finger. His grey eyes grew wide in amazement as the wave of happiness passed down his spine. Numerous time had he held his hand near the infant and never for once, the element of surprise spared him! It felt good! It felt like home!

11-year old Sirius was sitting in Great Hall, smiling nervously. He was a Gryffindor!! He was different! Just then, someone flung his arm around him. He turned abruptly to his right only to find a boy with messy black hair, whom he met in Hogwarts Express, beaming brightly at him. "WE ARE BOTH IN GRYFFINDOR!" he squealed in delight. The warmth from his hand was penetrating his skin; Sirius grinned. It felt ravishing! It felt like home!

The letter was burning in the fireplace, but the sugar-coated daggers were cutting through his brain. The words were floating in front of his eyes, and he was shaking vividly. Out of the blue, he was sandwiched between three bodies, hugging him from all sides. The grey eyes, that had been completely dry a second ago, started pouring salty water. The comfort radiated into his mind. It felt blissful! It felt like home.

16-year old Sirius lay awake under the pile of blanket. Every inch of his skin was burning in agony, even the spells couldn't allay the pain. He had finally run away from the torture centre. The footsteps rang on the wooden steps causing him to shut his eyes. He felt the blanket gently sliding over his face. After a couple of seconds, a soft hand started fondling his hair. Even though he didn't open his eyes, he knew it was the hand of a mother. He was amazed at how a touch was extricating him from the misery. It felt serene! It felt like home!

12 years in Azkaban was excruciatingly sepulchral; no joy and no human. He craved those hugs, those riffles and those pokings. And then, when he had lost all these desires, he met an old friend, at the Shrieking Shack. The mate who, he thought, would never believe him. Then, somehow, he embraced Remus, and to his surprise, hope and positivity diffused into his body. It felt like reincarnation! It felt like home!

He liked being touched! He liked feeling humans around him. There is something so wonderful about our body temperature that it imparts a miraculous effect on the neighbours: a sense of not being alone, a beacon of hope. As a Godfather, he wanted Harry to feel his presence. Maybe it was the lack of time or the lack of awareness of meagerness of time, he couldn't show that much warmth to Harry. As Sirius was falling across the curtain, all he wished was to hug Harry, one last time, fully conveying the love, the trust, the comfort, the hope, the feeling of home!

One look at each other and thought, "Hogwarts is going to be fun!"

Never cared much about the formalities. Hardly five minutes of meeting each other and they were already bonding over the mischievous spells James read in a book at Flourish and Blotts.

Their mutual hatred for Slytherin and Snape acted as catalyst to the blooming friendship.

Even though James had the idea of Sirius's dreadful family, he didn't ask about it until the first letter from Walburga, that shattered 11 year old Sirius.

James had the tradition of going on a night adventure every time Sirius received a letter from his "home". EVERY. SINGLE. TIME

James made Sirius a part of his family. Even the great aunt's son's uncle's friend's grandson knew Sirius as James's brother.

Both loved the attention, loved to make friends, but only turned to each other when life took its toll.

Found it girly to call themselves soulmates (but had a signed pact of never making another best friend)

Very enthusiastic about coming up with a better comeback. Very often, one of them was waking the other up at 3 a.m to make a "statement" (Got detention the next day for being late to class)

Got each other's humour and sarcasm like nobody else.

It was due to this gut feeling that Sirius went to see Peter only to find him gone. Without a nanosecond delay, he was at Godric's Hollow.

She pretended to be strong, to be confident, but deep down she was afraid that she might not be able to fit in.

All her life, she had been an obsessive book reader. Too many books, too little time.

As a kid, she had always been a loner. She wanted friends more than anything. But, her fellows thought she was a weirdo. Books were her refuge. The more she lost contact with the outside world, the stronger bond she built with the books.

When she came to know that she's a witch, she was shocked to the core. She always tried to link all the bizarre happenings with science, but there was a whole new world completely unknown to her.

Excitement took over the initial shock. She bought as many books as she could from Hogsmeade. If she knew the basics of the strange world, she would fit into the new life easily.

What a nightmare it was, when she came to know that she was still a weirdo. Books didn't help her gain any friend. Maybe something was wrong with her personality?

The simmering emotions came to a boil, when she heard Ron saying, "She's a nightmare, honestly. It's no wonder she hasn't got any friend."

Then a miracle happened. Maybe Santa gave her an early Christmas present. She thought she would die at the hands of Troll. But, Harry and Ron saved her. That was the beginning of a great friendship.

She proved how great of a friend she is. She found a new feeling of chivalry in her, a new disregard for the rules whenever she found out that her friends were in danger.

She didn't know when she started having feelings for a certain Ginger. Maybe in third year, when she realized how much she was missing him when they had a fight over Crookshanks and Scabbers.

She could have confessed her feelings long ago if she hadn't been worried about wrecking their friendship. She thought that he would never like her in that sense. How could he? She has always been a weirdo.

She experienced her first heartbreak when she saw Ron snogging Lavender. Only she knew how she survived sixth year.

Time flew and the world became unbearable. With Dumbledore dead, she knew that they were always an inch away from their death. But, she didn't want to drag her parents towards demise. So, she did what she thought she should. Modifying your parents memories isn't that easy.

She had always been kind and compassionate. She stood for what she thought was right, no matter how much she was made fun of.

Second major heartbreak was when Ron left her alone with Harry. She felt a void in Harry and her friendship, as if Ron was the link that kept them together.

She never admitted, but when Ron came back, all she wanted was to kiss him. But then, fury took over.

Time flew and they succeeded in the war. She and Ron started dating. This was the most beautiful phase of her life.

Not only did she succeed in giving house elves their due rights, she also had a pleasant married life. Waking up next to the person who makes you think you matter the most, is surreal.

She made a beautiful family with her husband and she brought change in the wizarding world through the power she was given.

Hence Hermione Granger proved that you could have a perfect professional and married life, given that you have someone as loving and supporting partner as Ron Weasley😅❤️
