What's this, another update on Tapas after the comic is all finished??? That's right folks! I've put an update to commemorate the ending of the main comic while also informing folks to keep an eye out for more 👁 I wanted to give the comic space to finish before announcing new stuff.

This update is nothing new to viewers of this blog because this is where the news happens first!

Midnight Snack

A Real Fake Animals Installation, 2023

MIDNIGHT SNACK, a Real Fake Animals installation came down a bit ago. I figured it's time I actually post my groceries from the show!

The installation was at the 301 Frame Gallery in Beverly MA. What a fantastic opportunity to work with so many neat friends/artists in a place I find to be a home away from home. The installation was for the two windows are the first two images there, one side a blanket wall of puppet heads, and the other a creature being caught getting a silly snack.

I obsessively assisted in the craft of the character, made lots of grocery items (not all are pictured), and participated in other late-night shenanigans. These are my favorite items that I made.

All are made from felt, embroidery floss, lots of fabric glue, some bristol board, and plastic plates.

PRŌPOSITUM is a mixed-media graphic novel project filled with action, drama, death, and existential crises (and a little bit of queer attitude here and there). With morally complex characters who feel like real people amongst the abstract nature of the environments they're subject to, this comic is one for the senses and the mind.

The time has come! For a little more than half a year, I have been posting my first graphic novel online. Updates end in just a couple of weeks. I've been working on this project for almost two years with the majority of it being done for my senior thesis project.

I'm so thankful for the friendship, guidance, mentorship, readers, enjoyers, and more throughout this project. I can't do any of this without support. THANK YOU!

I don’t know why I decided that Arnold is to be naked at the beginning of the comic, but not once have I thought about changing it! Guide doesn’t mind much either…

this is where it starts. - DVD cover art

When finishing my film for my senior thesis, something I had dreamed of doing was putting my film onto a playable DVD. While the disc itself has some playback issues, designing the box art was so much fun and a great challenge.

During set up for the installation, I stood the case on top of the Entertainment Center to find it could stand on its own. It stayed standing for the week the installation was up.

UPDATES ANNOUNCEMENT!

My comic was updated today instead of yesterday because I have been working day in and day out to improve the quality of my work for the lovely folks who stumble upon it~~

PRŌPOSITUM has gone through a major update on Tapas.io (where you can read my comic weekly for FREE) including better-quality files, new recolors, renovated text, cleaner speech bubbles, and other bits of changes.

My portfolio website has also undergone a huge transformation to clean things up and to make the PRŌPOSITUM portal neater, lag less, and better serve as a hub for all my project details!
