Perhaps, if I write these words down they would retreat, abandon me

and maybe these thoughts would too desert me,

and these growing feelings would not invade me,

i know I disappointed you by revealing I do not walk alone,

Perhaps my mind would desist to wonder, perhaps my neurones would stop fabricating scenarios, possibilities, opportunities, igniting,

Perhaps if I suffocate the flames, they won’t grow any higher, or any longer,

Perhaps sanity will strike me while piling up these sentences,

Perhaps if I don’t think you, I would stop replying our encounters,

Perhaps i need to stop thinking, thinking, thinking, thinking, of the way his vitreous mint eyes fall on my skin, the way his enlarged pupils touch my face and my bare clavicles while a misplaced coffee table lies between us,

While the public observes us,

while we pretend to go over some project papers…

Salt & Spice

There is no drinking without thirst There’s no thirst without desire, There is no desire without restlessness,  without will, without passion,  No existe la pasión sin sangre,  Y la sangre no es nada sin carmin  There’s no river without mountains, without the rolling stones,  and there is no sea without a shore, There is no ship without the open sea, without its port, There is no view without horizons, There is the sea and there is the river …
