I can’t believe I haven’t yet shared the beautiful, beautiful pictures that Julie shared of my work on her blog The Redolent Mermaid.

To have anyone actually want to bring my work into their home is almost surreal to me. I mean...forreal what an honor. I’m just playing around in the mud here!

But for someone to take the time to photograph them and share them with the world - I have all of the feelz. I couldn’t be more thankful.

Here's me decorating in real time. 😉 Sgraffito is a decorating technique where slip (liquid clay) or underglaze, often in a contrasting color like this black, is painted onto the pot and then carved away to reveal the clay body underneath. I then add slip trailing details around the design, which is sort of like decorative icing on a cake! Exciting life update: I have my own kiln and it's finally all set up! I've done a few test firings, the latest of which was for gold luster! 💫 I've been wanting to bling out some of my pieces for so long now and in having my own kiln I am now able to do that.
