Sanded vs unsanded sides of a very long nose. This is the first layers of primer and first sand for Entropy so I can see what really needs help. I still need to print his lower jaw again. I may try on Jonothan (my elegoo saturn), we'll see. This is going to be a long journey, but worth it in the end. I still have to decide how I want to do all those eyes too. They have to be more flat than most of what's available so I'm looking at sculpting them, one way or another. The last picture is the head with his other primed pieces. I haven't been sharing my collection. I have a big one that represents the characters from the books that I write. This one is Eurique. . When I create, they are all behind me, around me, present but until now, they have stayed in their places for a long while. I got some new clothes to try to finally give them each what they've been missing, discovered their shoes have all disintegrated with very few exceptions yet still... look at him. I fought so hard to complete him. . Eurique is a mindbreaker and controls the northeast from just outside of Boston. He manages the affairs of the undead like a business and turned it into one, The Blood Company, which can be found on the way into Boston nestled among other large medical buildings. As it turns out, the undead can diagnose the living quite well, and he worked to create a symbiosis between their need and their ability. No one needs to die and bodies create questions. He'll put strays who feed outside the arrangement down himself if he has to. Of course, very few of the people he works with realize why he keeps nocturnal hours. They only note that he's eccentric as most with genius often are, with his formal and somewhat arrogant expression and habit of frequenting clubs on Saturdays only to remain as distant and stoic as he is when he's wearing one of his rigid and somewhat outdated suits. He tells them it's because of a condition with his eyes. The hours, the distance, the many learned behaviors that seem somewhat mechanical and the ever present smirk that has all the emotion of a clever mask. This little dragon is such a diva. I've been calling her princess because the more "together" she became, the more she needed to be waited on. I still may add a few touches but she's all shaved and ready to have some decent pictures taken. She will be up for adoption soon. She is a Darwin. Immortal kiss is what I'm calling it. I'm happy with how it turned out. I was moved by an image: an X-ray of a kiss. I thought it was beautiful because you could see the intent in the bones. What kind of a name should a face like that have? I created him yesterday while I was on call with some of my friends who I like to sculpt with. I'm thinking of realeasing some of my heads without a body. There are some that I never had any intention of sculpting a body for and I thought, while I get the full dolls completed, I could make these bodiless adventures available since I would be forcing them onto the body of another character anyway. What sizes would you want to see if I do that? I'm just having thoughts about what might be fun and unteresting to create while some of my more intensive big guys are putting me through the ringer. The light here is terrible today. I tried to catch and edit the color so it was closer to what I see. Sometimes the blue is so bright and summertime very subtle as the light changes. He has all these very shimmery parts that I couldn't get to come out. Those are a soft luminous green but they just look like a texture in the pictures. They are in the golden areas. He's very old and it happens rarely. He has so much control. So I had some fun playing with this guy in the sun. This is the galaxy pour that was inspired by @thebrokenmaiden and, now that the resin has fully cured and gone more transparent, I'm quite happy with how he captures. I learned a few things from him, he's certainly not perfect, but I'm generally pleased. Here you can see some of the texturing that I prefer on my finished dolls. It makes them feel more real to me. This little one will get a faceup and magnet installed before he's listed as those were more choices that were determined after the pour. If you have an interest in becoming his forever home, make an offer. I do accept reasonable trades also, though retain the right to decline if it's not something I'm looking for. I'll be pouring another this coming week and will do so live.
