I had a good time chatting [virtually] with Tim Slater, owner and winemaker of Sarah’s Vineyard, and the Pink-Party crew last night for lucky #93. Sarah’s Vineyard winery and tasting room is located in Gilroy, CA, a small city widely recognized as the garlic capitol of the world. Tim’s @SarahsVineyard 2019 Estate Chardonnay is produced from original 1979 plantings. In the mouth, it’s round with lovely texture; yet fresh and incredibly well-balanced with a generous jolt of acidity throughout. There are flavors of crisp apple, spiced pear tart, stone fruit, ending in a long, lingering finish touched with a hint of orange zest.
