It's unlikely I'll ever share the alias I use for my writing, but I can share this; a little peek behind the curtain.

The Winchesters lead hectic lives. There's always danger lurking around the corner. Moments of tranquillity are short and grow increasingly further apart.

Dean loves nothing more than to sit somewhere quiet with a beer in hand, watching the water ripple as he tosses out a line and waits for the first fish to bite.

Usually, he only gets to be at peace like that when he's dreaming. He frequents a quiet spot at some beach where the sea endlessly teases the shore. Where he stands simply staring at where the dark blue of the sea meets the soft light blue of the sky.

He finds these same calming tones in the angel's eyes. He finds security and a sense of safety he wishes he could be more familiar with. In spite of their cool colour, they envelop him in a comfortable warmth. It's a hug without hugging and without the anxiety of what that kind of intimacy would mean for them.
