In another reality, not only would Wish have closer resembled its original concepts, it would have also been integrated into one of my favorite nighttime shows at the best Disney park in the world. (Seriously, not only does the show have a wish theme, it's also performed in the park's entrance port Mediterranean Harbor, and Wish takes place IN the Mediterranean. It would have been a perfect fit! *sad sigh* We could have had it all.)

This redraw was initially going to be much simpler looking, but then I had too much fun with rendering and trying to recreate the original lighting and effects.

I used to not be a HUGE fan of Lumpy but GOD the way you interpret him!! Slow and oblivious, but having a huge heart and the sweetest smile! Like, you really turned me into a Lumpy Loaf Lover!
Aaaaw, thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoy! ^_^
I totally forgot this was my inbox, but seeing this again reminded me of a doodle I haven't shared here yet. So here's a little Lumpy to cheer everyone up when you're feeling down!

I didn't get a chance to draw anything last year, so here's a little something belated for Lumpy's birthday (April 1), and Flippy and Fliq's half-birthday (April 2: six months from Oct 2, the air date of “Party Animal”).
I headcanon Lumpy's birthday to fall on April Fool's Day, which was rather unfortunate for him growing up. (Here's Nit's beautiful birthday comic from last year.) Nit and I had discussed the idea that even though Cuddles and friends helped Lumpy feel better about his birthday, he only accepts gifts and well wishes from his close friends, but is hesitant to accept any from strangers, and is still reluctant to initiate any celebration for himself. Lumpy only finally feels at ease after growing close with Flippy, and then realizing each other's birthday is next to the other's half-birthday. Here they're having a quiet little slumber party to themselves, with hot chocolate.
Alternate version without antlers, because I rarely draw Lumpy without them and wanted to try it. (In real-life, moose regrow antlers in the spring after shedding the old ones in the winter.)

F is for Flippy (and a fuming furious Fliq) frantically fleeing from fanatic fans at a fall forest festival.
While I was feeling nostalgic over favorite childhood books, I was suddenly in the mood to make an alphabet illustration. Here you'll also find "Flounder fishing for French fries" and "Fix-It Felix fixing a fondue fountain for some foxes and a ferret".
I counted over 60 different F words and things represented here (although I could have also missed some). This includes technicalities like "face", "fur", "finger", "fabric", and "fast". Can you spot them all?

This was supposed to just be a rough sketch, but then I started getting really invested in it.
I hadn't initially intended to include so many picture book characters, but the nostalgia was overwhelming. Does anyone remember the animated short films produced by Weston Woods? My local library used to have a bunch of them on the Scholastic VHS tapes from the late 90s. (I know some shorts were released on the Children's Circle VHS tapes back in the 80s (🎶 Come on along! Come on along! Join the caravan!), and some were packaged in Sammy's Story Shop in 2008.)
Characters:
Max, from Where the Wild Things Are, written and illustrated by Maurice Sendak
Peter, from The Snowy Day, written and illustrated by Ezra Jack Keats
Brother Bear and Sister Bear, from The Berenstain Bears series, written and illustrated by Stan and Jan Berenstain
Pooh and Piglet, from the Winnie-the-Pooh books, by A. A. Milne, illustrated by E. H. Shepard
Owen, from Owen, written and illustrated by Kevin Henkes.
Mouse, from If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, by Laura Joffe Numeroff, illustrated by Felicia Bond
Louis, from The Trumpet of the Swan, by E. B. White
Mr. Toad, from The Wind in the Willows, by Kenneth Grahame, based on the illustrations by E. H. Shepard
Mr. Tumnus, from The Chronicles of Narnia series, by C. S. Lewis
Pippi and Mr. Nilsson, from the Pippi Longstocking books, by Astrid Lindgren
Willy Wonka, from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, by Roald Dahl, based on the illustrations by Quentin Blake
Matilda, from Matilda, by Roald Dahl, based on the illustrations by Quentin Blake (with an homage to the Mara Wilson movie)
Peter Pan and Tinker Bell, from Peter Pan, by J. M. Barrie
Merlin and Archimedes, from The Sword in the Stone, by T. H. White, based on the illustrations by Dennis Nolan
Pinocchio, from Pinocchio, by Carlo Collodi, based on the illustrations by Enrico Mazzanti
Alice, White Rabbit, and Cheshire Cat, from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll, illustrated by John Tenniel
Rupert Bear, from the Rupert stories, created by Mary Tourtel and continued by Alfred Bestall, John Harrold, Stuart Trotter, and others.
Arthur Read, from the Arthur series, written and illustrated by Marc Brown
Tin Woodman and Scarecrow, from the Land of Oz series, by L. Frank Baum, based on the illustrations by W. W. Denslow and John R. Neill
The Cat in the Hat, from The Cat in the Hat, written and illustrated by Dr. Seuss
a frog on a flying lily pad, from Tuesday, written and illustrated by David Wiesner
Charlotte, from Charlotte's Web, by E. B. White

Some time ago I watched Pushing Daisies, and thought it would be neat to make a Private Detective AU of my OTP. (It's also an excuse to draw Lumpy in fun disguises.)

Sometimes I like to daydream about my ideal Disneyland, which would feature a Mysteryland that includes a Gravity Falls area, an attraction based on Great Mouse Detective, and a 1920s murder mystery version of Haunted Mansion. More details about Mysteryland (and links to the rest of my ideal Disneyland) can be found here.
Mood Music: "Grim Grinning Ghosts" (Dance Party version) and "Are You Brave Enough (for Halloween)?"

I was rather disappointed that last year's Disney100 celebration didn't feature Gravity Falls (or any other TV-originals, for that matter), so I drew this as catharsis.
More Disney100 stuff.

Some more Disney characters cosplaying as each other!
Playing around with Procreate brushes is quite fun! I'm quite pleased with how the Treasure Planet background came out.
Initially I was thinking of painting very simple and basic backgrounds for Toontown and the Disney Castle, but I ended up liking the collage look that comes from using photos / screenshots.

100% out of the blue, but I had a dream last night that you and another artist were commissioned by Disney to make their 'final 2-d aninated film,' and it turned out to be a very poignant film about Flippy and Lumpy. I can't even remember it but I woke up wishing to fall back asleep and watch it.
Hi! Sorry for taking so long to answer this!
Anyway, oh my gosh, that sounds so cool! In another timeline, that would be a dream come true! (In our current timeline, I don't trust Disney to give us the proper resources needed, whether it be a skilled writer, proper marketing, or protection on social media from the angry conservatives, lol.)
Still, I'm flattered to have inspired a dream! Thanks for sharing! ^_^

On October 16, 1923, brothers Walt and Roy Disney founded the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio. The rest is history.
While I personally have many conflicting feelings, especially in regards to the corporate side of things, I am still optimistic for the creatives from all walks of life that have poured their heart and soul into this company's vision. This one's for the Cast Members. Here's to all the dedicated artists, designers, musicians, performers, and dreamers who have been a constant source of inspiration. Thank you.
Looking forward to the next 100 years.
I was gonna put links to all the original postings of my art here, but I'm feeling lazy so I'll so it later, lol.

It's been a little over a year since @nitsstuff first translated my comics into Russian and pioneered a little fandom of my OTP on VK. A great big thank you to her and to everyone on VK for loving these boys and creating so much wonderful art of them! This has been an incredible year that I will cherish forever.
The third page demonstrates this cute meta idea I had, that Lumpy likes certain characters without realizing that audiences hated them. (If you're not familiar with them, they are Scrappy-Doo from Scooby-Doo, Clippy the Microsoft Office Assistant, Gurgi from Disney's The Black Cauldron, and Jar-Jar Binks from Star Wars.)

*Announcer voice*: Also comes in Lemonade Bunny, Strawberry Chipmunk, Grape Beaver, and Sour Apple Squirrel (with popping candy). Other flavors sold separately.
While drawing this, I came across this neat video documenting various characters that were re-created in ice cream form.
