Hook and the cabin boy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hook stood there on the edge of the Jolly Roger, it was split in half but not sinking. Neverland was nowhere to be seen although it was obnoxiously sunny and happy and bright. "Ah! Captain! Good to see you again!" An obnoxiously cheery voice chirped.
Now he had a headache, perfect. He turned around to face the voice, he didn't bother putting on a show of being a gentleman he knew who it was. "I can't say the same for you, loathsome, lackwit cabin boy." He sneered. The Young man didn't seem bothered in fact he looked frustratingly smug.
"Now captain, let's be professional. Would you like some tea? I could pour some alcohol in it if it isn't strong enough to neutralize your absolutely terrible personality." He said mockingly pouring alcohol into a tea cup. "I have an amazing personality I'll have you know!" Hook yelled flipping the table but was unable to beat the smug look of that damn cabin boy like he wanted.
"You can't hurt me that way captain, you know this." The cabin boy said resting his chin in his palm and using the other hand to throw the alcohol in Hook's face. The captain sputtered and jumped back fearful of getting a drop in his mouth when it took him so long to quit. "Wretched, witless boy! How dare you mock me like this!" Hook yelled once again making no effect on him.
"You know my name Captain, use it. It can't hurt you that much after all it's how you introduce yourself. Even if you are... pathetic...and angry...sad, lonely, stupid-" "JAMES!" Hook yelled tired of the back and forth. "There you go! Was that so hard? Honestly you talk about me so rarely I was starting to think you'd forgotten me." James said looking annoyed for the first time since they started talking.
"You know why I don't address you, halfwit." Hook said crossing his arms in contempt. "I know why you say you don't talk about me...but it's different isn't it? It's not because I'm stupid or because I wasn't good at planning or anything of the sort is it Hook? You miss me, you miss Zarina you miss Oppenheimer you miss port and starboard and Yang but you can never go back can you? Everyone you haven't killed hates you and it's all your fault." James mocked with a sadistic glee.
Hook grinded his teeth, rage filling him as the ship suddenly jerked towards the ocean almost throwing him off balance. "The fault was yours cabin boy." Hook snarled frustrated he couldn't just kill him. "Of course someone as old, ugly and socially inept would also be stupid." James said rolling his eyes as dark clouds covered the sunny day.
"Why do I expect anything more substantial from you? Honestly if Zarina could see you now she'd laugh." James chuckled. "Zarina doesn't matter, she's just another of Neverland's pests! How dare you insult me! I'll tear you limb from limb! I'll boil you in oil insolent brat!" Hook strained to strangle James or fulfill any of the promises he was making.
"Afraid you can't ..you see moron, I'm here in the past where I get to be handsome and charming forever, and you're over there in the present. Angry old, and one day in the future you'll be dead and alone with nobody to mourn you." He mocked stomping on the floor with a smile jerking the boat to the side causing Hook to slide down to the edge hanging on over the water.
A familiar ticking sound flooded his ears filling him with fear. "Goodbye codfish, you deserve what's coming." James said a hint of bitterness behind his smile kicking the Captain's hook firmly letting him fall into the ocean screaming in fear as his smug smile turned fully into a look of bitter contempt and disappointment.
"Capn! Capn! It's okay! You're safe!" Smee yelled worried causing Hook to stop screaming and realize he had woken up. "Another nightmare?" Smee questioned, he was as concerned as ever. Hook huffed as if nothing was wrong and pushed Mr. Smee out of his office and closed the door. He was fine, it was just a dream it didn't mean anything. The subconscious mind was nothing but childish nonsense.

Thinking about writing tinkerhook fanfiction for the Disney babies. Tinkerbell a bitchy character fighting for the side of good and Hook a polite character who is straight up evil, would be an interesting dynamic....
I just need to figure out the inciting incident....

Adults Disappear
A/n: A sequel to "When did our game of pirates and lost boys start?" Enjoy the angst.
"Peter, how could you?" Jamie said making Peter whirl around. "I didn't mean to!" Peter replied uncharacteristically terrified. It even surprised him how scared he was looking his former best friend in the eyes. Jamie started growing, by the time he got to Peter he had gone from nine to fourteen. "Peter you promised." Jamie said starting to cry. "I didn't know what to do! If you left I'd never see you again!" Peter said grabbing James hand suddenly in his twenties as the world around them crumbled.
"All you've done is condemned me to a worse fate, a worse death! I'll never forgive you for that Pan!" Hook yelled the hand Peter latched onto was now a Hook as he continued to grow old. Even older than usual, Peter struggled to hold on as the ground beneath them was replaced with the ocean as a familiar ticking began. Peter tried his best to hold Hook up but he just got heavier and heavier.
The rage in Hooks eyes were replaced with horrible sadness as he changed even further into an almost unrecognizable man from the one Peter fought. Old, frail and thin and with snow white hair yet he just kept getting heavier. "Goodbye Peter....it's nothing personal." His hook snapped off and he disappeared into the ocean below, Peter did his best to follow him but the earth was back. He started frantically digging filled with fear and sadness, he eventually broke through but not into the Ocean.
He had woken up, it was a nightmare. Peter flew away from his hideout to check if Hooks ship was still there. Sure enough it was, he sat down on a palm tree with his chin in his hand. Ever since he talked with Hook about what happened Peter felt different. He didn't know it wasn't a game, and now that he knew James wasn't pretending to be Hook he had a lot to reflect on.
He always thought growing up was the only way to disappear, Hook always escaped the crocodile. He never considered why he would be afraid until recently, he never understood death but now that he did it was all he could think about. He wasn't afraid of it, it was all Hook or Jamie.
He wasn't sure what to call him anymore, he wasn't angry anymore. He wasn't the Jamie he knew either. Far from a shy young boy with a fondness for Neverland and yet not a rage filled pirate either. Peter felt something he had never felt before he met Wendy, he felt the need to fix things. He landed on the ground with an uneasy feeling, he gripped his knife and listened for the sound of an old clock. Even if he never saw Hook again he wouldn't be the reason his best friend disappeared. Even if they weren't best friends anymore, he still didn't want Jamie dead.

When did our game of pirates and lost boys start?
Tumblr media
"You never understand what you're doing." James said, a look of concern on his face. "I know what I'm doing, I'm challenging you to a fight! If you have so much experience as a pirate than fight me like one!" Peter taunted slashing his blade without a care. James stepped back, a little more fearful than usual. "Come on Jamie! What's changed? You used to be so brave as a boy, have you become a codfish in your old age?" Peter taunted playfully. There was no malice in him, he was simply playing.
His knife cut the straps of the bag that fell into the water. It slipped just out of reach of the man's fingertips, James eyes widened in horror. Tinkerbell fluttered around them watching and waiting, unsure of what side to choose. Ink and quills floated to the surface of the water, Peter could never understand what he did. The life he had severed by cutting that bag away from James, and James would never remember what he lost.
The fight they had was rather heat of the moment, to Peter it was all a game. Even after he cut off his hand it was just a game. He laughed through the years seeing Hook as his best friend, a magnificent actor. It was all just pretend and he wished the game would never end. Tinkerbell didn't feel the same, her feelings were more.... complicated. She hated seeing them fight, Peter figured it was because she was jealous of his best friend or maybe worried he would get hurt.
In the end she protected Peter, always the boy was a priority. He was just a child, and no matter how much she tried to tell the old Captain the truth he refused to listen. She was the enemy, on the side of the boy who threw his hand to the ticking crocodile. There was only so long she would try to reason with him. To some extent it was Peter's fault, but he was just a boy and didn't understand his friend was no longer there. To some extent it was Hooks fault for snapping at Peter and fighting with him, to committing to this ridiculous game. But he couldn't remember who he used to be, he was too stuck in his own misery to consider he was anything other than a pirate. He couldn't fathom anyone being kind to him besides Smee, the man who patched him up after Peter left him to die. Joking all the while about his new pirate nemesis.
It was a magical place of fun, blood didn't mean anything there not even to the pirates. Hook was never hurt by a blade if he was it was a temporary pain or so they told him.
It was Neverland and the price you pay to stay is your past in the other world. To Peter it was a price worth paying as a boy crushed by the expectations of his mother who favored him above anyone else. For James he wished to have a friend who wouldn't hit him or call him names when he cried. He lived with Peter for so long, they were so happy. But Jamie wanted to grow up, and so he left. He promised Peter he'd come back and he never breaks a promise.
Peter could never understand James couldn't stay. In his mind he just needed to be reminded of the fun they had when he was a boy fighting the pirates, in Peter's mind he had succeeded. He was having so much fun he would never leave. In Hooks mind he was always Hook, he had always been a pirate. He didn't understand how Peter hurt him so he assumed it was the crocodile. He had forced down the horrible memory of losing his hand as it was a petty complaint to most pirates. He couldn't remember it if he wanted to now but the ticking of clocks often brought back his emotions. It was still there even if it was buried.
Peter never threw his hand to the croc, it was an accident that it fell in the water. It made for a better story though, so it's what he told the boys. The boys told Hook and he assumed it must be true, it's what they believed so it's what it was. He had forgotten his years as a lost boy. He was far too little then, even smaller than Peter and he buried it with the rest of his more hurtful memories.
Tink believed Hook could remember if he wanted, and she hated him for choosing to stay and fight a little boy. She wasn't human like them. To them it was the way things had always been, an endless game of pretend or revenge. Neverland was magic in ways even fairies couldn't understand, to them it was simply so fun the boys wouldn't care about what they left. Perhaps that was true, but it's hard to miss what you can't remember. It wasn't until Wendy left she considered anything different. Even Peter felt the game had gone a little too far, on the way back Peter told them the truth. Peter started to think about the game, did Jamie really enjoy playing pretend? He hoped to find his dearest friend to make sure everything was alright. "What do you want Pan?" Hook asked expecting Peter to gloat like usual. He wasn't sure how to feel about the look of worry on Peter's face. His heart sank into his stomach as Peter gave his hat back. It didn't feel right to see Peter full of regret. It made him harder to hate, really it just made him sad. He didn't understand why, maybe he could never understand. He wanted to understand, he considered the boy carefully. Peter asked a question he never thought he'd ask. "When did our game of pirates and lost boys start?"

Frozen 3 Story idea. “Frozen 3: 22 years later” is set 22 years after the 1st movie. Not long after Frozen 2, Elsa suffered what happens to all 5th spirits by getting bound to Ahtohallan with a curse. The spirits cursed her(the spirits see it as a bit of a blessing), which caused her to get stranded on the island of Ahtohallan, and to start to forget about her life prior to having accepted the role of 5th spirit. It also caused her to be unable to physically age, her skin to turn blue and her hair to turn black. Meanwhile, Elsa’s sister, Anna assumes that she has received a “gift” from Ahtohallan for her great deed of destroying the dam. Like Iduna, who had received a similar gift for her brave deed and passed it on to Elsa at birth, the same thing has now unexpectedly happened to Anna, which means that one of her children has special powers, but this child has it easy compared to Elsa.
Anna has two 18-year-old daughters, Gerda and Karen. Gerda is fascinated by the story of when Anna saved Elsa during the eternal winter(aka the events of Frozen 1) and wants to write a very unbiased account of what happened. She likes collecting items like newspaper clippings that relate to the events of Frozen 1. She wants to hear Hans side of the story, but she can’t because Hans disappeared and was branded a pirate by the Southern Isles due to stealing a ship. Karen, on the other hand, is fascinated by the story of how Elsa saved Arendelle from being flooded(aka the events of Frozen 2). Only Gerda, not Karen, has seen her Aunt, and that’s because Gerda has ice powers which allow her to endure the coldness of Ahtohallan, but she doesn't have the power to create life like Elsa does. Gerda thinks her powers were a gift that the spirits gave her due to what Anna did, but she’s not sure why the spirits gave her powers that “just happened” to be almost identical to Elsa’s powers. Do the spirits want her to take Elsa’s place? She’s seen Elsa once and she barely survived that time because Ahtohallan was so cold even for her, which caused her family much trauma. She’s the main character of Frozen 3, and she spends most of the movie looking for Maui's fishhook in order to get the spirits to free her Aunt from both the curse and her role as the 5th spirit. Gerda learned some things about the fishhook from Bulda, including that in order to grant ETERNITY to Elsa she must feed the 4 fish using the fishhook. The pieces of the fishhook spell ETERNITY. The fishhook magically enables immaterial spirits to gain the power of human speech. Once the 4 spirits possess this power, they will no longer have any need for a 5th spirit and Elsa will be free. But Gerda needs to find the fishhook quickly otherwise Elsa will soon turn into an ice statue before shattering into shards and becoming part of Ahtohallan like the other 5th Spirits.
Gerda wants to go looking for the fishhook with Anna but accidents keep happening that delay them. One day, during the Arendelle harvest festival, Captain Hans wakes up not far from the ports of Arendelle. It turns out that his nephew Kai sailed the ship there when Hans was sleeping because Kai wanted to visit Arendelle due to hearing about it from Hans’ stories. Hans reluctantly takes Kai to visit Arendelle. While they’re there, Anna trips and drops her scepter and one of Hans’ crewmembers picks it up and steals it. Hans and his crew flee Arendelle and a ship from the royal navy pursues them. Gerda stows away on the ship so she can help catch the thieves. While sailing, her ship is attacked by undead sailors lead by Euron. Euron slaughters her crew and consumes their blood, but Gerda uses her powers to escape and flee to Weselton. Euron realizes that Gerda is looking for the fishhook when he finds Gerda’s notebook, but he struggles to understand a lot of what the notebook says because a lot of what’s in the notebook is written in a code. Meanwhile, Captain Hans runs out of grog to give to his crew and he fears a mutiny when he hears his crew grumbling about it. In Weselton, Gerda foils Captain Hans from stealing from a brewery using her ice powers, but instead of thanking her, the people of Weselton accuse her of being a witch and lock her up with Hans. The two of them are about to be publicly executed when Kai uses fireworks to distract the guards and rescues them with the help of the other members of Hans' pirate crew, but one of the members of the crew knocks Gerda out from behind her. At first Hans contemplates using Gerda as a hostage, but she persuades Hans to help her find the fishhook after she promises she will provide Kai with a comfortable life in Arendelle if he helps her. Gerda comes aboard his pirate ship “The Throwaway” in order to find the island where the fishhook is hidden. The Throwaway was once a slave ship called The Dark One.
Shortly after Frozen, Hans and his brother Lars worked as privateers on a ship run by slaves. Hans led a mutiny on the slave ship and became a pirate, before fleeing to Neverland(a place where nobody ages) for a time, and that’s why he hasn’t aged much in Frozen 3. Hans has a “bastard” nephew with him called Kai. Kai is the son of Prince Lars, and he was a slave on a slave ship until Hans led the mutiny. Hans was ordered to whip Kai to death, and Hans reluctantly agreed to that order despite Lars’ protests. Hans whipped Kai 12 times before he threw down his whip and instigated the mutiny. Euron fires a cannonball at Hans from a nearby ship, but Lars dives in front of Hans and is struck instead. Before Lars dies, he makes Hans promise to take care of Kai so that Kai may become a better man than either of them. Kai and Gerda fall in love with each other over the course of the movie. While on Gerda’s ship, Euron suspects that Gerda might come back to look for the notebook, but he briefly sails away from Gerda’s ship in order to hunt for “fresh meat”, leaving one of his minions behind on Gerda’s ship to guard the notebook. Gerda first asks Hans to sail to her ship to find her journal, which Hans is very reluctant to do so because that ship had just been attacked, but he relents when Gerda promises him that no one will get hurt. Hans sails to Gerda’s ship, and he and Gerda use a small rowboat to hop onto the ship. After spending some time looking for the notebook, the two of them finally find it and steal it from that minion, but that minion sends out a flare which alerts Euron to what’s going on.
The main villain of Frozen 3 is Euron, Hans’ father and former King of the Southern Isles and the person Hans fears the most because he’s responsible for Lars’ death. Prince Caleb, 1st born son of Euron is one of the villains serving under Euron, and Caleb is one of the people Hans fears. Caleb wants his curse to be broken so he can return to his wife and children. Euron captains his own ship and has a bag that's bigger on the inside. It's filled with things like magic carpets, magic beans, and poisoned apples. Shortly after Frozen, when Hans stole a slave ship, Euron sailed after him. Hans tricked Euron into crashing his ship into rocks situated right off the coast of the cursed Island of Shattered Shards. Euron and his crew get cursed by the island into becoming undead beings who need fresh human blood to survive. Euron lost everything including his authority over the Southern Isles because of what Hans did and he gets filled with an intense rage. Euron ends up going after the fishhook in order to use its power to curse the Southern Isles army into becoming undead warriors, but he deceives his crew into thinking he wants it in order to undo their curses. His crew, led by a furious Caleb, turn against him and grab hold of him when they find out the truth, and they sacrifice themselves to destroy Euron once and for all, but not before Euron stabs Hans with a poisoned blade. Gerda and the rest of her crew escape with the fishhook on a small rowboat, but they have no ship because their pirate ship has been sunk. Kai wants Hans to use the magic of the fishhook to save himself, but Hans chooses not to because he thinks the magic needs to be used to save Elsa because Elsa's suffering is greater. Kristoff plays the role of an antagonist for most of the movie. He doesn’t approve of people talking about Elsa because it brings back sad memories. By the time of Frozen 3, he’s lost all hope of Elsa ever coming back and is determined to stop Gerda from wasting her time looking for the fishhook because many people in the past have died trying to look for the fishhook. When he realizes that Gerda stowed away, he goes after her on a small ship. Kristoff saves Gerda and the others after he sees them on the rowboat. Gerda persuades him to heal Hans using troll medicine. Gerda tells Kristoff that she needs to get to Ahtohallan and bring the fishhook with her as fast as she can, but Kristoff says it’s too dangerous because she nearly got killed the last time she went to Ahtohallan. But he reluctantly changes his mind when Hans remarks that no one, including Hans himself, can stop Gerda from doing whatever it takes to save her aunt.
After Hans is healed, Gerda runs across the sea to get to Ahtohallan with the fishhook in an attempt to find Elsa before it's too late, unaware that she is being followed by Euron, who survived when his crewmembers attacked him. When she enters Ahtohallan, he follows her into the glacier. When she finds Elsa, she finds out that Elsa’s almost completely frozen. She manages to call the spirits towards her, but they don’t uncurse Elsa because they’re unable to absorb the fishhook’s magic. Gerda is about to leave Ahtohallan when she figures out what Bulda meant. Gerda must break the fishhook so the spirits can fully absorb its magic. Euron attempts to stop Gerda from doing this, saying that she’s stupid to give the fishhook’s magic to the spirits instead of taking it for herself, and that with all that power she can secure everything else. Gerda is almost persuaded by Euron, but she still breaks the fishhook. Furiously, Euron attacks Gerda and he even overpowers her. He’s about to break her neck when Elsa thaws and destroys Euron once and for all with the help of the 4 spirits. Suddenly, Ahtohallan begins to shake and slowly sink into the sea because the 4 spirits no longer need a 5th spirit now that they have what they desire, which means no human being need ever enter Ahtohallan again. Elsa and Gerda struggle to escape. Hans sees Ahtohallan sinking and sails towards it. Later, Anna looks out the window of her castle and sees one of her royal ships. Hans gets off the ship and he gets tied up by her guards just as he’s about to speak. He’s about to be thrown into the dungeons when Elsa, Kristoff, and Gerda appear. Hans gets forgiven for his past crimes after helping bring Elsa home and he settles down in Arendelle with Kai, taking a job as a servant in Arendelle castle. Elsa retires from the role of 5th Spirit and keeps her powers.
Sitron, who is Hans’ mare, is also in the movie, and she helps save Hans in Weselton. Kai starts shipping Hans and Elsa the moment he sees them. Hans finds this a bit creepy. Also, scenes like the charade scene are referenced in the movie. Hans hears from Gerda that Elsa said he's an "unredeemable monster" and he's somewhat sad because he'd prefer the term "scoundrel". The snowball scene in Frozen Fever is also referenced. Hans thought the snowball was the result of his brothers trying to gaslight him into thinking Elsa was trying to kill him.
That is a really cool story idea, I always like the idea of characters from the og snow queen meeting the frozen ones in some context. :3

Dress up Distraction
Tumblr media
"Terrible! Awful! Simply despicable!" Hook yelled pacing around so much Ruby was convinced he would eventually wear through the floor. Peter had ruined Hook's hat yet again, from what she could gather he put a lot of value in his fancy hat. She could see why, big fancy hats were fun.
"Oh don't worry capn, if I could fix it when it was half digested by the crocodile I can fix it now." Smee assured him, taking the few patches of fabric and the purple feather. "I'm not sure how much more of this I can take!" Hook said in that signature overdramatic way he typically showed distress. Ruby sometimes thought Hook would fit well in those overdramatic romance novels he pretended not to care for.
"How come you're the only one who wears fancy clothes on the ship Captain?" Ruby asked jarring Hook out of his ranting. "I'm the only one on this ship who has taste I'm afraid." Hook lamented looking around at his crew in worn out tattered clothes. "However...the very fact you asked the question implies you have taste, am I right correct in my assumption?" Hook asked somewhat Flattered she'd consider him fancy. It's about time somebody noticed.
"I like frills and ruffles." Ruby said not very knowledgeable on fashion but up for a new experience. "I'm sure we have some dresses your size with frills and bows of all kinds." Hook mused already planning outfit ideas in his head. Smee had taken the moment of distraction to slip away and finally fix the hat.
"Odd things to have on a pirate ship." Ruby replied swinging her feet. "Well...I was planning to throw them away once we got to port after picking off all the jewels but... I couldn't bring myself to ruin such an immaculate outfit. You understand don't you?" Hook said placing a hand on Ruby's shoulder.
"I can't say, I never saw them." She shrugged. "Then there's no time to dilly dally! Let's look through them together shall we?" Hook said basically dragging Ruby into his office. She saw a spark in his eye that felt oddly out of place. He sat her down in a chair far too big for her and showed her frilly dress, after frilly dress trying to find one she'd like to try.
He wasn't kidding when he said they had Jewels sewn into them, no wonder they stole them. She eventually settled on a pink one with red gems and white frills. "A fine choice!" Hook approved, it was odd to see him in such a good mood. He handed it to her and left the room before Ruby could say anything else.
With nothing else to do she got changed, it took a while to work through all the layers of skirts, although she found herself having trouble tying the last ribbon around her waist. "Captain!" She called. "Yes?" He replied through the door. "I need help!" She called back. Hook came back inside a tad frustrated, could she really not tie a simple knot? Looking at her he realized the problem was a tad more complicated.
She had tied it in a square knot rather than a bow. "Well you got closer than I thought you did." Hook said raising an eyebrow. It took some effort but Hook managed to untie and retie the knot into a bow. Stepping back Ruby thought something about his expression felt broken, she hadn't known the captain long but he didn't seem like he looked at anything like he found it absolutely adorable often.
"How do you feel?" He asked, doing his best not to squeeze the life out of her in a way that was definitely menacing and not because he was holding back the urge to hug the adorable little girl. No absolutely not, he was a menacing man. why else would he be smiling from ear to ear? Some paternal inclination? Of course not he hated children.
As such he was impressed at her bravery. "Like a rich lady." She replied with curtsey. "Feels good doesn't it?" Hook said screwing on a comb Hook and brushing the girls hair. "Certainly better than rags." She responded, she couldn't help but smile at the relaxed expression of the normally grumpy Pirate Captain as he braided her hair and tied it into a little bow.
Smee soon walked in with the Captain's hat all fixed up. "Ah that was quick." Hook said, adjusting a few more details on Ruby's outfit. "It didn't take me any longer than it usually does." Smee replied handing the captain his hat back. Hook excitedly put it back on, it really did complete his outfit.
"Well I see you two have been busy." Smee said looking at Ruby in her fancy new clothes. "Not the most practical but she does pull it off." Hook said satisfied with his work. Ruby wasn't very used to the attention, she did look pretty.
"Thank you." She responded shyly. "Well I'll go see if the tea is read, don't have too much fun you two!' Smee said closing the door behind him. Hook smiled, perhaps he was having fun.

The Proposition (rewritten)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hans sat in his Cell on the way back to the southern isles, he expected to feel dread or something negative but really he just felt numb. He thought back to his plan and how royally he messed it up. He saved Elsa, everything could have gone to plan if he didn't save her.
Why did he save her? She was a pawn, if he had just let her die he would have won. The Duke would have taken the fall and Hans would have been seen as a charming prince doing his best. Unlucky number thirteen until the end. He would be lucky to live when he got home. The shadows of the bars on his cell wall cemented his hopelessness.
Hans was Jarred from his thoughts by a scream above him. Shooting, shuffling and the clashing of swords. He rose to his feet and leaned against the bars, he caught a glimpse of fire outside the door. A short chubby man with spectacles he didn't recognize peeked on unbothered. "Capn! There's a man in here!" He called, leaving before Hans could question him.
The next stranger to walk in was a scrawny looking man in a red coat that looked a little big on him. He looked a little outdated in terms of his fashion. He had long black hair tied back and dark brown eyes looking intently at him. "Prince Hans it's a pleasure to meet you, I am Captain James the mysterious." He said giving a polite bow.
"You've heard of me?" Hans questioned. "It's hard to not hear about a prince with such an... interesting history." He responded. "You know why I'm in this Cell?" Hans asked with an unreadable expression. "I could always use new crew members. Since I'm feeling polite I'll give you two options will you take this ship....or sail under my flag?" He asked.
Hans raised an eyebrow at him, unsure of how to respond. The current ship he was on was apparently on fire, so if he chose that option he would most certainly be left to die. Hans looked at the captain his smug expression got on Hans's nerves. He wouldn't work for him forever, he'd simply stroke his ego a bit and take James out when the time is right. He wouldn't be outsmarted.
"I'll sail with you... Captain." He said straightening his posture." James unlocked Hans Cell with the keys on the opposite side of the wall , the door swung open with a creak. "Excellent choice Hans." He said leading him through the flames on the burning ship with an unnerving nonchalance he noticed a few crew members pouring the loot into a big chest.
"An eye for treasure eh?" James asked as if they didn't just meet in an extremely dangerous situation. "Doesn't everyone?" Hans responded with a smirk. "You'll make your cut of the loot soon, I pay my men well. In the meantime do you read any good books?" James asked. "Always a fan of adventure books." Hans responded. "Then you're in good company, why don't you have some tea in my quarters?" James suggested gestureing to a door.
Hans hesitated, he didn't really want to be alone with a pirate. Then again looking at his thin body and well groomed handsome face his fear disappeared quickly. "Of course." He replied confidently, he was more of a threat than this pathetic captain.
James led the moron into his office, it was obvious Hans was sucking up to him. He didn't trust many men as far as he could throw them but Hans? He was a documented liar the guard he questioned had filled him in about how he had tried to kill the princesses of Arendelle. Still, it would be nice to have someone besides Smee reading with him, shame it wouldn't last. What other reason would a Prince have to stare so intently at him? He smiled a little wider opening the door for Hans. He had learned long ago not to turn his back on new members.
Hans walked in his boots hitting the wooden floor hard, he was surprised to see an actual porcelain tea set. He wasn't sure what he was expecting, but it wasn't the truth. "One lump or two?" James asked sitting down excited for his first intellectually stimulating conversation in months, Hans thought about the burning ship they were sailing away from and smiled. To everyone else he was dead, he sat down and replied. "Two."
