the lie between your teeth (the cut that always bleeds)
fandom: keeper of the lost cities
wordcount: 1539
relationships: keefe sencen/tam song, keefe sencen/fitz vacker
summary: Keefe was standing in the doorway, holding a plastic cup of boba and squinting at his phone in the dark of the almost-storm. He was wearing all the same necklaces. His hair fell, now, below his shoulders in a ponytail. He was just as beautiful as he’d always been and Tam didn’t know him at all anymore. Maybe he never had.
notes: title from the cut that always bleeds by conan gray. // a thing abt me is i will post a fic and promise to properly post it on tumblr “soon” and then get to it approximately half a year later…. this was a birthday gift for @theogony way back in april and it was like written in a fever dream apparently bc i read it and promptly got hit with things i did not recall writing at all! but anyway hope u enjoy hope there are tears etc
taglist: @thisbluewind @cowboypossume @sofia-not-sophie @steppingonshatteredglass @cadence-talle @silveredviolets (avery im assuming u were completekeefitztrash i genuinely dont remember) @constellations-of-elixirs @bianavackers

OK AND!!! GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR FRENCH & KOREAN!! that's so cool abt the korean gl with ap seasonn <333 and things i've been watching/reading lately HMM asian drama wise first of all. a friend is watching lighter and princess and i've been rewatching little bits so i can talk to them about it it's probably one of my favorite cdramas... emotionally intense programming drama of all time--it's based on a book and ARJUN THE POETRY OF THE REAL TITLE. i don't have the chinese keyboard on my laptop but it translates roughly to "light me, warm you" as in "light me on fire to warm you" and AGHHGHHHHH. AGHHHHHHHH. it really is genuinely the entire core of both the main characters and also one of the side stories (which is a band love story!!!!!) and it's so. it's split into two parts--past and present--and it starts with the Present in the first ep and THEN dives into the first part which is all of the major characters meeting and a rivals to lovers-esque story... and then the major cracking point occurs and we cut back to the present where they've accidentally met again and just follows this arc of them lighting themselves on fire just to warm the other and i'm FOAMING AT THE MOUTH ABOUT IT. i watched it last year i think and i was like i have got this chinese learning on lock bc i'm about to rewatch this show so many times. the character dynamic is SO GOOD lighter and princess... they're so fucking funny because they're incredibly skilled programmers on their own merit but NEITHER OF THEM CAN COOK. that's my pitch i could talk for hours about them but. Yes. highly recommend the sillies and all of their best friends
hello ok i think i will perhaps sign up for a korean class over the summer bc i'm not doing much so !!!! ALSO HELLO THAT TRANSLATION IS INSANE i have put it on the list (the list has been called library of alexandria by some it's soooo long) this kinda sounds like the untamed tbh like the past and present (watch it watch it watch ittttt) but i have been Influenced i will watch it at some point !!!!

OUHHH I'LL CHECK IT OUT!! i think roshan also recc'd when i fly towards you to me and both of your judgements combined?? i trust!! also. REAL OF YOU. hilariously i learned the most chinese vocabulary from watching a thai drama??? bc one of the main leads was tutoring the other in mandarin which was SOOOO cool? although i cannot remember them well now. anyway YES lai lai or just lai or lai ah (ah being just. a little thing native speakers add, idk, like the canadian thing where they add 'ey at the end of sentences! i also can only gather little bits but i think that my comprehension is getting like. slightly slightly better over all this time lmao
HI HELLO I AM BACK AND ALIVE FROM THE DEAD the last month ish has been hell on earth sorry for not having a march check in but i will send my april one shortly !!!! i have not finished wifty i have a few other dramas i will watch before returning to that one i think. rn i am watching the untamed and if u watch any cdrama pleaaaaaaase let it be that one . it is so deeply everything rec'd to me by my beloved grace @juliettecai but also thank u for the vocab !!!! i have not picked up much chinese at all tbh but i will watch more dramas later and expand my knowledge on the language (i think i have narrowed down my list of languages to korean, mandarin, japanese, italian, and tamil i think for this lifetime)

Got to see Hadestown for the first time ever today (and it was amazing oh my god I had no idea what I was missing) and I'd just like to give a shout out to the poor soul in the audience who had clearly never heard the myth of Orpheus before, because when Orpheus turned around at the end the audience was dead silent except for this one very audible gasp of "no!" from somewhere in the crowd. And after Euridyce was gone and Orpheus dropped to his knees in grief, all anybody --cast, audience, the uncaring gods, etc -- could hear was muffled weeping from the same person

i found a free (FREE) khmer textbook AND audio files to go along with the practice dialogue and i'm just.kind of. staring at it? like??? hello??? i'm going to start trying to actively learn with this one bc the first thing is literally dialogue so i might acquire how to speak faster... ough i'm so happy to have found this
HELLO THAT IS SO COOL i wish u the best in ur learning of khmer i will focus on my french class + korean !! (i have found that i can more easily isolate korean words i am so !!!! i need to properly learn perhaps i will start after ap szn but for now i will continue watching dramas i think. i can understand maybe 1% of the dialogue but i have no knowledge of grammar structures & no one to speak to so. sigh. fluency in korean one day!!!!) have u watched/read/listened to anything good recently (or even if it's not good feel free to hate i will hate with u!!!)
