Yo! It's been a while.

This year has been crazy, though on the personal sense it's been amazing.

Started working out almost daily to the detriment? Of my partners, they've come to call me insatiable since I can take them both on, one after the other, give them both orgasms and I'm still good for some 20 minutes afterwards.

I once read that polyam people can have their children taken away from them (legally) based on just being polyam. Is this true?

I cannot speak about other countries' legal systems but I'm familiar with the history of polyamory in court cases in the U.S. 

In the past, child custody battles have used polyamory as evidence towards declaring someone an unfit parent. This is sometimes the work of a monogamous ex-spouse who wants full custody but is usually done by grandparents who want to take custody of their grandchildren from their children. Essentially, polyamory isn't one of the standard considerations used by courts to determine unfit parents but it has be used as proof of one of the considerations, like unsafe household or impaired social functioning (which essentially means the parent is so weird/anti-social that they’re damaging their kid). Most of these cases happened alongside the massive spike of anti-gay custody battles that happened in the 1990s, in which grandparents took their gay children to court in an attempt to take custody of their grandchildren. There has been significantly less of these cases in recent years however it is still considered a major concern as most states don’t have laws that ban prosecutors from using it as proof. It is also a concern because Child Protective Services (CPS) often has a “take first, ask questions later” approach to physical abuse. Essentially if your kid breaks their leg at home, the more “unusual” your family is, the more likely it is that CPS is going to take your kid and the longer its going to take for CPS to give you your kid back after. 

tl;dr, Polyamory has been used as the primary evidence in court cases in which the parent/parents were found to be unfit. This was mostly in the 1990s and has become less prevalent in recent years. Still prevalent however is long drawn out interactions with CPS, during investigations of abuse, due to the unconventional nature of polyamorous families. Here’s a good article about it.
