Had a very elaborate dream (not explicit, just intricate) about the David Tennant, Georgia Tennant, Anna Lundberg, Michael Sheen polycule last night. So that’s fun 😆
This was actually so refreshing to listen to. Even learned some new things. Apparently there's cities out there passing anti family status discrimination laws which include protections for all non traditional families including nonmonogamous ones!
What are your characters' thoughts on multi-person relationships?
I'm answering on Friday but I love this question! Considering that I write almost exclusively polyam relationship dynamics, the answer is that my characters have a wide range of thoughts and feelings about this topic.
Some are fine with it, some are enthusiastic about it and some are hesitant, at least at first. Sometimes the story is about how people with no poly experience end up happy in such a situation. Sometimes it's a surprise to the character that they are capable of loving more than one person, or are okay if their partner does.
The heart of the story, though, is always love. Polyamory is valid and even though I also like drama, angst, and sometimes emotional trauma in my stories, at the end of the day, the love and support of the entire polycule, and the respect they have for each other wins out over all the other stuff.
bitches be like: “being trans is a mental illness” “liking other trans people just makes you straight” “polyam is cheating” “qpr’s aren’t a thing”“memememememeee”
meanwhile me: Shoutout to my mtf gf and my qpr ftm bf!!! Love y’all!!!
My wife and I made a huge step in the evolution of our relationship. We went on a super casual lunch date with a guy, and it was great.
It's really cool to be able to fall in love with my wife all over again, through another person's eyes, y'know? I'd never forget how fantastic she is, but it's like a re-confirming.
