i was gonna make a post like "this pride month, pour one out for the polyam folks for having the worst flag"

(and like, i know theres been a bunch of flags, but this is the one i've seen the most)

however! when i went to google the polyam flag, i found this website, where they apparently held a vote for a new flag that accurately represented the community (and, presumably, didn't look like absolute dogshit), and they apparently settled on this one!

i hadn't seen it before, but I think it looks really nice and if you check their website, it seems like they have good reasoning/backing/community support, so I really hope I see it around more!!!

If I may get personal;

I made this comic because I often feel like polyamory is, at best, an afterthought; at worst, openly hated and ridiculed.

I've been insecure about other identities in the past, but I've never had to get defensive about anything like with polyamory; you wouldn't even guess the kind of things people, even other queer identities, feel comfortable saying about polyamory. i've always hated love triangles because it doesn't make any sense, like a love triangle isn't two people in love with the same person because that is not a triangle, an actual love triangle should be person a is in love with person b, person b is in love with person c and person c is in love with person a, that is an actual triangle, also I've come up with a few endings to love triangles, 1. the main character realized they're aromantic(or aroace) and the two other people who are in love with the mc realized they were actually in love with each other so mc gets to live a happy life alone and the two other people get to live a happy life together, 2. the three of them end up in a polyamorous relationship, 3. they all just move on from each other and/or continue being good friends with each other.

Dude it's so weird how monogamous people will take personal offense to your open or polyam relationships, as if it's their personal business how your relationship works and they try to make up the rules of your relationship for you. I'm perfectly happy with the idea of my boyfriend sleeping with other people, yet one of his online friends took offense to that today and told me I was just encouraging him to cheat, and when I tried to explain to him that cheating means boundaries have been crossed and the rules of what loyalty means to your personal relationship means to your were broken he got so mad at me on my behalf and tried saying shit like "This new generation just wants to normalize cheating" as if he isn't the same generation as me and my boyfriend. Like it's our relationship and we agreed that it's alright for him to sleep with others, but this monogamous guy got so offended by it because of his past experiences with cheating. And I know damn well that this is a common occurrence for non monogamous people to deal with. Why do monogamous people feel so entitled to make the rules of our relationships for us?
