I'M IN LOVE!!!
I've never noticed these things, so much symbolism! Especially that moment with card house and Silco's Zaun empire, I was just... wow 袨_芯
I can't stop smiling bitterly every time I see this scene, it's so incredibly symbolic of Silco as a character.
Looking at this moment many are not surprised by how easily Silco has won the child's affection and does not seem to scare her at all, despite his disfigured face and eye, considering it a display of his mastery in manipulation, but... But I always watch and think he's just doing what he's used to.
Jinx was a little girl too, after all, and I imagine Silco learned how to get along with children not because he's an evil manipulator, but because he learned how to be a father.
And then that phrase, "Imagine if you were separated from your father?"
... and remembering how it would all end and that it was the fear of being separated from Jinx that first pushed Silco to lie... This phrase takes on a much stronger emotional coloring. He knows the taste of that fear...
"We all make mistakes. But what's important, we don't repeat those mistakes, right?"
... is so ironic, considering that Silco will also go Vander's way all the way to the end... essentially making the same mistake he did.
And finally, the house of cards, the thing that makes me sadder... that Silco helped build it and then destroyed it with his own hand... Ring any bells?
The dream about Zaun, he laid its foundations alone, then he had Jinx to help him further build that dream... And then he destroyed his dream without hesitation, for the sake of his daughter... like a house of cards.
And a little more symbolism :袟
I love that in this scene, when Jinx is gone, she disappears somewhere, which drives Silco crazy (remember the meeting of the barons, he was easily willing to give up his duties to find Jinx if Sevika had not intervened), her gifts, which were always on the table, are covered by a sheet, they cannot be seen.
But as soon as Jinx returns (and at just the right moment for Silco, which hints that she realized how much he really needs her), Silco tells her the truth and convinces her that he needs her, Jinx quiets her anger, gives him a shot and runs off to continue creating her weapon, a gift for Silco (like a baby postcard. You love underwater monsters, don't you? Do I? And I love you... Here's a weapon in the shape of a shark that looks like you :袟 )
At this point, the sheet falls off the table and we can see her gifts again... As a symbol of her coming home to him.

Timeline (Silco and Vander)
I know it's a kind of an art blog but I think I found something interesting and I want to discuss it with you (sorry for my English, I'm doing my best)
Tell me If I got it wrong but Vander's clothes in Silco's flashbacks (ep 3) and in the bridge scene (ep 1) are the same. It's absolutely the same models (dark blue(?) vest, white shirt, scabbard with a knife)
Does it mean that a fight between Silco and Vander and a fight on the bridge happened nearly at the same time?
Maybe Arcane animators used this Vander's model to make working process easier but I believe it's not that simple. We all know that every detail in Arcane is important.
We don't know the real reason for their quarrel but I think it might be connected with planning a fight on the bridge, so it's possible that these events occurred in the same year (ok, maybe two years)
Character's age (approximately)
2-3 act
Silco: ~46
Jinx: ~17
Vi: ~22
The Bridge
Powder: ~5
Vi: ~10
Silco (in his flashbacks and during the bridge fight): ~34
I believe Vander is older than Silco. Let's say that difference between them is 5 years.
Vander (during his fight with Silco and the bridge fight): ~39
Vander looks younger in Silco's flashbacks just because he don't have beard and we can't see his face clearly. It costs him nothing to grow a beard (also he has no gray hair or wrinkles) so it means that the lake fight and the bridge fight occurred nearly at the same time.
1 act
Powder: ~10
Vi: ~15
Silco: ~39
Vander: ~44
I hope you'll like my theory. It's important for me to know what do you think about all of this
