Hello, Marauders fans. I am trying to get into the fandom and am getting a little overwhelmed. I was looking for a good introduction fic. Everyone says All The Young Dudes and I was looking for other options if you have any. Thank you :)

My favorite thing about slow-burn couples is just the unnecessary things.
The unnecessary touching.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Standing/Sitting unnecessarily too close.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The unnecessarily long looks.

Even when they are upset with each other, they can't help but be close to each other because to them it's as normal as breathing.
And no one notices until a new character points it out and their friends are like “Oh yeah, that's just them. They're in love with each other and just don't know it yet.”

Ok, here we go.
I used to be Jo+Laurie but after re-reading the book I am totally Amy+ Laurie.
Here's why.
Jo loved Laurie but was never IN LOVE with him. After she began to notice his feeling toward her she tried to force herself to love him so she wouldn't hurt him, but she couldn't. Everyone saw they were better off as friends and wouldn't work as a couple except Laurie himself. It took time and space and his love for Amy to show him the truth.
Amy was in love with Laurie and he with her. Neither had to force their feeling, the transition from friend to lover came about so naturally that neither realized it at first. Jo herself even says they're personalities would well suit one another before she even knew of their engagement. Amy pushes Laurie to be his best self, something Jo tried to do but never could. She's refined but not vain and grew a lot since childhood (but that's a different topic) She tells him to love Jo all his life, but not to ruin it by wasting his talents and opportunities. He listens to her scolding and goes off to do just that. He goes through a lot of self-realization and changes for the better. And His love for Jo begins to fade back into friendship and his feelings for Amy grow from friend to something more. They fall in love so naturally and are so happy that everyone, including Jo, can't help but be happy for them.(They are just so cute and I love them 🖤)
To all of you who have watched and/or read Little Women
Jo and Laurie
OR
Amy and Laurie
Tell me why
