where’s the woman who will take me on opera and ballet dates, watch tarkovsky and bergman movies with me, allow me to read her poetry by candlelight and worship her forever and always?.. it really shouldn’t be that hard! (let a girl dream)

“I still pick flowers with you in my dreams. And you smile. You laugh. You dance with me in the emerald fields. I wonder if you keep my letters under your pillow. I wonder if you still sit by the lake and remember the sunsets we spent in each other’s arms.”
Painting: Gather Ye Rosebuds While Ye May by John William Waterhouse.

Did you make the cover for The Dawn of Eternal Winter yourself, or did the publishing company pick it for you?
I had the freedom to hire a cover design artist who made this beautiful cover. I described my vision to her, down to the colour scheme, and she created a masterpiece. Like the heroine of my novel, she had to escape Russia when the war started. You can find her on Instagram: @krima_dsgn

being an author is so strange because you expect your friends to write reviews and rate your book, but they do nothing, and you get the loveliest reviews and ratings from complete strangers instead and then someone from Italy messages you about finding your book randomly, and your life is complete❤️

The Dawn of Eternal Winter is a lesbian romance set in Saint Petersburg, 1905… if you want to read something set in the bygone era but still resonant with the tragedies of today, I highly recommend reading this book! The protagonist, Margo, is desolate when her country starts a senseless war. Adeline, a mysterious woman with a dark past, helps her escape.

I saw you like sapphic stories and Florence + the Machine and I've just gotta ask you: have you heard of Burn the House Down by Kenna Jenkins? It's an alternate history novel abt the 1st woman president and her secret sapphic relationship/bearded marriage with her mlm best friend and has massive Florence + the Machine vibes (The end of Love, Grace, Landscape, Queen of Peace, Bedroom Hymns, The Bomb, No Choir, and definitely, most especially June!!!). It also has a subplot about arson at the White House and ft. An entirely queer main cast and really fleshed out characters!
This sounds so intriguing! I've added this book to my list ❤️

I’m so honored you followed me back! I absolutely love your blog. I’m also a sapphic writer in an anglophone country, though in my case it’s a Peruvian in Scotland (what a combination). You’ve made me curious enough to want to get your book :)
Thank you so much! Peruvian sapphic writer in Scotland is an intriguing combination! I'd love to read your works, as well ☺️❤️
