Let’s Continue Where We Left Off...
Welcome back, everyone! Just as a reminder, the world that we are looking at is called Another.
If any of you are under the age of 13, leave now and check back in on another of my blog posts. The same applies to anyone that doesn’t like gore or horror, this world has a lot of that!
Honestly, I will try to focus on the mystery of this world and its events, but if a death piques my interest I will talk about it. Possibly in depth.
Sakakibara: “Hey there.”
Misaki: “Why? Are you sure about this?”
Sakakibara: “Well…”
Misaki: “You should be careful, it may have already begun.”
Tumblr media
This episode starts off with Sakakibara coming to school the next day and greeting Misaki Mei, the girl that drives his curiosity. And she gives him a foreboding warning. What is about to happen?
The story unfolds to the morning’s art class, where Sakakibara learns a bit about his fellow classmates. Like Mochizuki Yuuya, a talented artist that admires Edvard Munch and his legendary The Scream artwork. We also learn that Sakakibara enjoys art, and hopes to one day go to art school, which he only tells his aunt Mikami Reiko in private. That’s right, Mikami Reiko, even though they look like completely different people, is, in fact, the very same Mikami-sensei that assists Class 3’s teacher.
After art class, Mochizuki and Sakakibara are walking back to their classroom discussing the darkness of the world, when Teshigawara Naoya bumps into them and nearly spills Class 3’s secret. Calling it the cursed class. Sakakibara is intrigued at this new information but is quickly distracted by the existence of Misaki sitting in the library alone. Within minutes, he is ushered out of the room by the master of the library but notices that Misaki stays behind. This is when he realizes that not just the students are ignoring Misaki, but the teachers as well.
Trying to find out some answers on his own, Sakakibara ventures to the hospital he was staying at not long ago. Speaking with the nurse who was kind to him, he wonders about Misaki and the person that she was visiting at the morgue. The nurse seems to know nothing about the incident but mentions that she recalls hearing about a young patient dying the day he was staying at the hospital. Unsure on the details, she declares herself a detective in search of his answers and promises to get back to him when she finds something out. Sakakibara smiles and leaves the hospital.
The next day, school goes, as usual, the class goes on without Misaki. To his surprise, when Sakakibara turns his focus back to the front, his eyes meet with another head student’s, Akazawa Izumi. After class, she demands that Sakakibara meet with her and she hopes to discuss the current status and rules with him. Quickly, to her dismay, she gets pulled aside by two other classmates who inform her that Sakakibara does not know of the curse yet, and leaves the moment he sees Misaki leave school grounds. Following Misaki, Sakakibara finds his way to a doll shop which unknowingly happens to be Misaki’s home. Upon looking in the glass window, and seeing a frightening sight, Sakakibara receives a phone call from the nurse at the hospital with news on his mystery victim. The nurse says that she isn’t sure what the name of the dead girl was, but she thinks it was Misaki.
Upon hearing this, Sakakibara sees the doll in full and realizes that it’s an exact replica of Misaki Mei. The only difference between the two is that the doll has a green eye, while Misaki has a brownish red eye. Startling Sakakibara, Misaki appears from behind the coffin where the doll is set and begins to show him a unique sight. The truth behind her eye patch.
Misaki: “Shall I show you? Shall I show you...what’s under this eye patch?”
Alright, so that’s where we are at now! Sorry, I’ve been a little behind, but I’ve been having a little trouble with my connection through my Dark Mirror Spell. I hope to have 3 more journals out this week to hopefully catch up! Stay tuned everyone! Bye!

So it Begins...

If you are seeing this, you have heeded my warning and are prepared for the worst. Well, hopefully, it won’t get that bad lol. Maybe...

Boy: “Have you heard of Misaki? From 9th grade, Class 3?”
Girl: “Was there anyone of that name in Class 3?”
Boy: “It happened 26 years ago. She’d been popular ever since the 7th grade. She was smart, pretty, and had a great personality, so she was loved by students and teachers alike.”
Girl: “Yeah, there’s at least one person like that in every grade.”
Boy: “But shortly after the start of 9th grade, Misaki died.”
Girl: “Huh? How?”
Boy: “I heard it was an accident, so everyone was really shocked. Until someone suddenly said it.”
Girl: “Said what?”
Boy: “He pointed to Misaki’s desk and said, ‘Misaki’s right there, she’s not dead.’”
Girl: “Was that…”
Boy: “Well, it was all an act. But from that day on, Class 3 continued to behave as though Misaki was still alive.”
Girl: “That’s kind of creepy.”
Boy: “They kept up the act until graduation. The principal even arranged to have Misaki’s seat included in their graduation ceremony.”
Girl: “Isn’t that a good thing?”
Boy: “Sure, if it had ended there.”
Girl: “There’s more?”
Boy: “The rest of the story is…”
This episode starts off with a tragic backstory, occurring in the year 1972, of a female student named Misaki. Misaki apparently died a tragic death, and the shock to everyone by surprise, to the point that they just couldn’t forget her. Her class, Class 3, decided to begin a tradition that could not be undone, and the existence of Misaki became a curse. The excerpt above is taken from the translation of the first and foretold of the curse upon Class 3, and smoothly we get taken into the ominous opening, Kyomu Densen.
The excerpt above is taken from the English translation of the first episode and foretold of the curse upon Class 3, and smoothly we get taken into the ominous opening, Kyomu Densen.
We start out with Sakakibara Koichi, a transfer student, in the hospital thanks to a condition that spurred off of him moving into the country to live with his grandparents. The air in the city is much different than the fresh air and scent of trees that exist in the countryside, so Sakakibara’s body went into shock, causing a collapsed lung. A condition that apparently runs in the family.
While in the hospital, Sakakibara has 3 guests from his new school that come to meet him, quite awkwardly I might add. One of the students brings notes from the first semester for Sakakibara, so that he wouldn’t be behind in the class. Quite thoughtful, and he is very appreciative toward the students. The 3 begin to question him, but to no avail since Sakakibara doesn’t remember his childhood very well, and after some time they leave him to rest. Sakakibara meets another student from his new school at the hospital once he enters the elevator, after all, he’s trying to make sure that he doesn’t get cooped up in his room all day long. The student he meets is Misaki Mei, a young woman with an eye patch over her left eye. In the elevator, Misaki is holding a marionette doll by its arm, allowing it to simply hang by her leg. Sakakibara is curious about Misaki, but at the same time unsure since she is visiting a dark place that no one goes to in a hospital. The morgue.
About a week or 2 passes by, and Sakakibara is healthy once again, and his first day of school has arrived. In the early morning, he gets a call from his father in India asking if he’s alright after his cultural shock and hospital visit. On the veranda, Sakakibara hears his grandfather behind him, praying at a memorial, whispering “Rei-chan.” Sakakibara just watches him and then continues on to breakfast and school. Upon introducing himself nervously, he looks around the class and notices a familiar face. Misaki Mei, she’s sitting in the back corner looking out the window, disinterested in the world. During the free period, all of the students come and greet Sakakibara, and try to keep his attention pinned on them...and away from Misaki, whom he notices has disappeared sometime during class.
Obvious that the students of his class, Class 3, are trying to keep something from him, Sakakibara asks a young female student, Sakuragi Yukari, who begins to panic at his questions. His question is simple…Where’s Misaki?
After a moment, Sakakibara looks up and notices a figure up on top of the school. Sakuragi motions to stop him, but with her bummed ankle she is unable to catch him from running up to the roof. That’s where he meets her, once again. Misaki Mei. But this time is odd, she denies meeting Sakakibara at the hospital. Problem is that he keeps pestering, truly wanting to know her, and what possibly the other students could be hiding. Well, the cat comes out of the bag...or at least starts to.
Misaki: “You’re classmates haven’t told you?”
Sakakibara: “Told me what?”
Misaki: “They associate your name with death, but not just any death. A cruel, irrational death that took place at this school. This school is situated near death, especially 9th grade’s Class 3. It’s much, much closer to it than any of the other classes.”
Sakakibara: “To...death?”
Misaki: “You really don’t know anything, Sakakibara? Nothing at all? Nobody has told you?”
Sakakibara: “About what?”
Misaki: “You’ll find out soon enough. You shouldn’t bother trying to befriend me. You shouldn’t talk to me anymore, either.”
Sakakibara: “Why?”
Misaki: “You’ll find out soon enough.”
Sakakibara: “But…”
Misaki: “Goodbye, Sa-ka-ki-ba-ra.”
Misaki leaves Sakakibara to himself, as he ponders what his classmates could be possibly hiding. Unknown that there is a curse that is attached to his class, and perhaps him.
Alright, so this is what happens in the first episode! Kind of spooky, but I can’t wait to continue! I included some of the quotes because the script is so spooky and helps make the anime what it is. See you next time!

Entering the World of Another
Hey everyone, Luca is back! I finally connected to a new world, and as I said before, it is kinda scary! So please, if you any of you are under the age of 13, leave now and check back in on another of my blog posts. The same applies to anyone that doesn’t like gore or horror, this world has a lot of that! Honestly, I will try to focus on the mystery of this world and its events, but if a death piques my interest I will talk about it. Possibly in depth.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. TURN BACK IF YOU DON’T WANT THE SCARY.
I assume that if you are still reading this, well, you have decided to continue this journey with me, and I’m glad that you have taken the jump. To start things off, I will call this world The World of Another.
youtube
Right off the bat, this opening gives you the feels of suspense and horror. Especially when you see those dolls, and the one in the casket that looks like Misaki Mei, the main female character. I have always been afraid of dolls, and when the one in the casket just drops her arms instantly, shivers just snake up my spine.
When the opening starts out with those flickering lights and that music done so magically well, just gives you the vibes of a ghost story. The opening slowly tells you the legend of the school through the art, leading off with the school looking like it’s rundown and rusting. And that eye! Turns out that the eye shown is Mei’s false eye that she keeps hidden under an eye patch. She said that through her false eye (which happens to be a DOLL’S eye) Mei is able to see the dead, or the other that does not belong. Hence, the title of the anime, Another, meaning the one who does not belong.
There is also a bit of foreshadowing in the opening, including the chandelier falling down on you, as well as the glass breaking, and even the mansion that ominously appears near the end of the opening. All of these quick scenes appear, and you forget them easily, even though you see them every episode. Though once the story actually gets to them, then you realize everything in the opening kind of told you what would happen in the storyline.
Another tidbit is that you start to see a lot of characters appearing one after the next in between some of these scenes. These characters are shown because they are an integral part to the story, and they are all in the same class as the main characters, Misaki Mei and Sakakibara Koichi.
I know I haven’t said much, but there will be more next time! Bye everyone!

This is a short review on the opening to Another. Song is Kyomu Densen, by the duo Ali Project. I tried my best to explain what was going on, and it’s easy to see that I don’t review music very often lol. Tell me what this video and song make you feel, I love to hear input.

Kokuyo Land Arc - Pt.2
(Major Spoilers Ahead! You have been warned.)
Here’s a little video I found on Youtube to get everyone in the mood for some Rokudo Mukuro, the music that this creator chose was perfect for the personality of this devilish pineapple head.
youtube
Just so everyone is on the same page, this will be last entry that I record through my Dark Mirror Spell for the World of Reborn. My spell only can connect to a world for the max of one month, and well, this month has ended. The next time we speak to each other, we will have a new world to peek in on.
To summarize, we found out that Namimori Junior students were being attacked by escaped criminals, and Hibari went to take revenge on the people who were responsible. Tsuna and his famiglia were tasked with capturing these criminals and rescuing their hostage, Futa-kun. The criminals were hiding out as Kokuyo Junior students, and their base was the rundown Kokuyo Land amusement park. Upon entering, the group found their enemies quite fast, or rather the Kokuyo students trapped them. The battles thus far were: Yamamoto vs Ken; Bianchi vs M.M; Tsuna and his famiglia vs Birds and the Murder Twins (Jiji and Djidji).
Now we’re about to see who comes next!
Surprise attacks from...MUKURO! Naww, it actually turns out to be a man that is posing as Rokudo Mukuro, but the only one to notice this is Tsuna when he fights him toward the end of the battle. First Yamamoto takes a crack at this impersonator with a giant metal ball and chain. This steel ball has unique engravings, snakes. This helps to capture the wind as the ball spins and creates wind currents that are inescapable, causing the victim to be hit even if they try to dodge it. By this time Gokudera is feeling the after-effects of Shamal’s treatment for his injuries when he fought Chikusa in Downtown, which puts him out of commission for this fight. Yamamoto takes a brutal beating, and Bianchi is the only one left to take on the fake Mukuro. And the hero comes to save the day! Tsuna comes and fights in his dying will state, using up Reborn’s last bullet, and to the impersonator’s surprise, Tsuna is able to defeat him solidly. After this battle, we find out that Tsuna’s hyper-intuition is beginning to take form, and we find out that the fake Mukuro is actually named Lancia. Lancia is from the Estraneo Famiglia and was charged with looking after Mukuro. Well, things didn’t go very well and Lancia ended up being used by Mukuro to slaughter the Estraneo family.
Leaving Yamamoto behind with Lancia, both extremely injured and possibly near death, Tsuna, Reborn, Bianchi, and Gokudera continue on to Mukuro. Finally, in the right building, the group looks for a pathway, and end up finding Chikusa instead. Gokudera, feeling a bit better, declares that he will stay and battle Chikusa while the rest deal with Mukuro. Well...Gokudera, you’re an idiot. A very brave idiot. Turns out that as the two are facing off, an unwelcoming guest joins in the fray. That’s right! Ken jumps in from the window and attacks Gokudera from behind, and this is where things go downhill for Hurricane Bomber Hayato. Knocked down a short flight of stairs, knowing that his death is near, a mysterious little tweety bird comes flying in….singing….a very particular, and FAMILIAR song. “Midori tanabiku Namimori no!” That’s right people, that song is Namimori Junior’s school song! And who do we know that loves this song so much he has it as a RINGTONE for his phone?! DING DING DING! HIBARI KYOYA!! Gokudera realizes this and sets Hibari free from his locked room, and happily beats the crud out of Ken and Chikusa.
I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy to see Hibari say his wonderful one-liner, “kamikorosu” aka “I’ll bite you to death.” A pissed off Hibari is not a Hibari that you want against you, that’s for sure!
Finally, we reach Mukuro...Rokudo Mukuro is an intriguing man of 15 years old...I thought he was much older honestly. Well, Mukuro has an odd eye….the song is now stuck in my head, see the video above if you don’t know what I’m referring to….Well, his eye shows the 6 paths of the Hell, each numbered and each possessing a horrifying power. To gain access to these powers you have had to journey to each path of Hell and be reborn to repeat the cycle until eventually gaining all 6 paths….Which Mukuro apparently has. In my brain, I see this as past lives, and so does the manga. So, Mukuro has simply remembered all of his past lives and these instances of power, retaining them in his left right eye. Mukuro was also a child that was experimented on by the Estraneo Famiglia, and where we believe that he received his right eye, but the 6th and final path of Hell is the Human path. Perhaps he gained this last path while he was being tortured and experimented on, that would certainly be Hell for a child.
Let’s continue onto the actual fight, or we’ll be here all night. Mukuro’s weapon of choice is his very pointy trident, along with the power of all 6 paths. The 1st path being The Path of Hell, which allows Mukuro to create stunningly real illusions that mess with the victim’s senses. The 2nd path is The Path of Hungry Ghosts, which in turn with his trident injuring another and the possession bullet taking its effect, allows Mukuro to take control of another body as if it were his own and use their abilities. The 3rd path is The Path of Beasts, which allows Mukuro to create REAL illusions of animals, such as snakes. The 4th path is The Path of Asura (aka demons) which intensifies Mukuro’s own physical traits, such as speed and strength. This path also ignites a Mist Dying Will Flame in Mukuro’s right eye. The 6th path is The Path of Heaven, this allows Mukuro to control others without them knowing, and with Chrome Dokuro he gains the ability to create an illusion of himself that is terrifyingly real. The final path is the 5th, The Path of Humans. Mukuro states that this is the most disgusting and revolting path, due to the nature of humans and their greed. This path ultimately discolors Mukuro’s body, as if it were being consumed by the darkness in human hearts, and Mukuro uses this path hoping to deal a final blow to Tsuna.
But to no avail. Not long before this moment, Leon has a baby….you heard me right. Leon creates and spits out a gift for Tsuna. The X Gloves and a unique little bullet called the Rebuke Bullet. Reborn uses this bullet on Tsuna in a last ditch effort and Tsuna gets to hear the thoughts and concerns of those close to him, nagging on him to his very last fault. But also encouraging him, and this makes Tsuna want to believe in himself. The power of the Rebuke bullet causes Tsuna to ignite his dying will on his own, and simply enters a state called Hyper Dying Will. In this state, Tsuna is just as strong as his original Dying Will state, but he’s in more control with his eyes glowing a gentle and calm orange, the color of the Sky Dying Will Flame. This state also activates full throttle Tsuna’s Hyper Intuition, a trait that has been passed down through the Vongola line. In Hyper Mode Tsuna is able to dodge and predict Mukuro’s attacks and even deal high-speed attacks of his own, once he figures out that he can light his X Gloves with the dying will from his forehead. Within a mere minutes, Tsuna is able to take down Mukuro, and saves the day.
And so enter, the Vendice.
Tumblr media
The Vendice is an organization that controls the balance of the mafia world and enforces the law when necessary. The Vendice also have a prison for criminals who are exiled from the mafia world, called Vendicare. Honestly, nothing is known about this organization except for this, until the last arc in the manga, when the ring leader makes his entrance.
Anywho. The Vendice enter and with chains, drags away an unconscious Mukuro and his gang, which we find out that all but Mukuro escape. Mukuro gets transported to the deepest and darkest part of Vendicare, the water prison cell. This is where Mukuro is bound and submerged in a tank of water, where he cannot move or see. A breathing apparatus is strapped to him so that he won’t die, but every time that Mukuro appears in his prison cell it looks like he is unconscious or asleep. But just because he is bound by the Vendice, does not mean that he is unable to take part in the mafia world, no Mukuro will always find a way to be free, even if he isn’t physically free.
The end of this arc shows Tsuna and the gang enjoying a baseball game. Yes, the very one where Yamamoto was trying his best not to get injured in his fight with Ken. Everyone appears to be all healed from their fights at Kokuyo Land, so I assume that a couple of weeks have passed before this game. Everyone is so happy. Then Reborn says that he would be for a fight anytime someone gets bored, and a child looks back and responds with a maybe next time phrase. The very moment that Reborn spoke, Tsuna’s Hyper Intuition kicks in and he senses Mukuro’s presence, looking around Tsuna sees a boy walking away with his mother. Well, that boy was possessed for a second by Mukuro, perhaps just wanting to see what Tsuna was like in his everyday life. Or perhaps, Mukuro was lonely, and just wanted to be near someone who defeated him….Or maybe Mukuro was going to try and take possession of Reborn, after all, Mukuro did seem like he knew something about the Arcobaleno and its curse. But that’s a tale for another time.
Thank you, everybody, for following and keeping up with me on this journey to the World of Reborn! Sadly a month has passed, and my Dark Mirror Spell won’t work on the same target until some time has passed. But I went ahead and took a peek at the next world, and boy is it scary! I can’t say any more for now, but stay tuned and you’ll know just what terror I’ll be in for next time!

Kokuyo Land Arc - Pt.1
(Major Spoilers Ahead! You have been warned.)
Hiya Everyone! Today we’re gonna observe the 2nd arc in the world of Reborn! This arc is commonly referred to as the Kokuyo Land Arc, or Kokuyo Arc, and everyone’s favorite manipulator...literally, Rokudo Mukuro is at the center of it. So, without further ado, let’s get started!
youtube
Sorry, I just had to insert that song. If you have already seen the Kokuyo Land Arc, then you are already familiar with Mukuro and his little trademark chuckle, “kufufu.” The song above is Mukuro’s character song and actually represents his personality quite well….well, that’s to be expected since it is Mukuro singing. But anyway, if you don’t know Mukuro then that song is a perfect introduction.
Starting things off, we see that a lot of Namimori Junior students are being targeted and sent to the hospital, this continues until we gain information on the culprits. Reborn constantly finds pocket watches that have stopped on 6 and 5’o’clock, deducing that whoever is targeting the students means business, and probably after Tsuna. Not much later we see that Vongola Nono (9th) has sent Tsuna a letter and demands that he must stop the criminals that have escaped and rescue their hostage, who turns out to be a 9 year old boy by the name of Futa. Futa is an asset to the mafia world, and is sworn by the Omerta (Vow of Silence) to never reveal the secrets of the mafia world to anyone. Futa is able to look into a person’s heart and body and reveal their rankings in the world; these rankings can be about any trait of the person in view.
Trying to get information on Vongola Decimo, Mukuro kidnaps Futa and takes a page from his book, revealing the fighting rankings of Namimori Junior. At the top of the list are Hibari, Yamamoto, Gokudera, and Ryohei. Hibari, frustrated that his Namimori students are being attacked goes to Kokuyo Land to essentially destroy the person behind the attacks, while Ryohei gets attacked and sent to the hospital. Gokudera is next to be attacked, and this is when we really start to find out who is behind all of the attacks.
Chikusa Kakimoto (nicknamed Kakipi by Ken) is the same age as Tsuna and his friends, and wears the Kokuyo Junior uniform along with the rest of the Kokuyo gang that Mukuro has assembled. Chikusa’s weapon of choice are yo-yo’s that spin out poisonous needles, able to kill a target. Chikusa attacks Gokudera in the Downtown Namimori Shopping area. The match is quick and noted that Gokudera and Chikusa are evenly matched at mid-range fighting techniques, ending in both parties severely injured. Yamamoto and Tsuna meet up with the injured Gokudera, believing that he had finished Chikusa off. To his dismay, and the shock of the others, Chikusa emerges from the rubble battered and bloody. Upon seeing Yamamoto, he states that he is Ken’s target and cannot further engage with him, and was happy to see Tsuna believing that he could take him on and bring him to Mukuro. At the end of the battle, Chikusa decides not to engage in a fight that he cannot win and returns to Kokuyo Land to report back to Mukuro.
At this point, Hibari still has yet to return, and more students are consistently getting injured. Reborn reports that he knows the hideout of the criminals, Kokuyo Land, an amusement park similar to Disney...but smaller. Yamamoto and a somewhat healed Gokudera show up and say that they will go with Tsuna.
The day comes to take on Rokudo Mukuro and his gang, Tsuna is worried, especially with the way Leon is acting. He can’t keep his chameleon form and is constantly changing shape, for the most part we see Leon as a shimmering green glob. Tsuna wishes that Reborn would fight too, but to his dismay the arcobaleno states that in the letter Nono gave Tsuna the order to recapture the criminals, so Reborn will not participate. Yamamoto and Gokudera show up at Tsuna’s house and find out that Bianchi, Gokudera’s sister, will be coming as well. She even made a box lunch for Tsuna...that is a poison one. Hey, she isn’t called Poison Scorpion for nothing.
Upon entering Kokuyo Land, Tsuna recalls a few memories from his childhood as he leads the gang to an entry of Mukuro’s hideout. Before reaching Mukuro there are 5 battle scenes that Tsuna’s famiglia has to go through.
Yamamoto versus Joshima Ken. Ken is a unique teenager, he was experimented on by the Estraneo Famiglia like Mukuro and Chikusa, that’s actually where they all met. Ken is able to change his physical traits to that of animals, similar in a way to Vixen of the DC Universe. Vixen uses her magical Tantu Totem necklace, well Ken has teeth cartridges that he uses to adapt to a different animal channel. Same idea but different power vessel. This is Yamamoto’s first battle using his transformative bat, and at first it seems like he isn’t doing so well against Ken. No surprise, Ken is using the darkness of the room to attack Yamamoto in his blind spots, and Yamamoto is worried about getting hurt due to the baseball team has a game coming up. It takes some time, but after Tsuna gets launched down into the room, Yamamoto gets serious and defeats Ken.
After this battle we come across another of Mukuro’s chess pieces, M.M. A young woman that is far older than her appearances let on, and she is in fact in love with Mukuro, and quite jealous of a future character named Chrome. Anyway, M.M. attacks the group with sound waves via her clarinet...which just happens to come apart into a 3 part nunchaku, proving that she can fight both midrange battles and hand-to-hand battles. Unsure on how to fight against sound, Bianchi is the first to take the lead with her poison cooking. As everything begins to explode, Bianchi continues to charge; her poison cooking may be destroyed but its lethal qualities are still just as powerful. As the fight continues from midrange to close combat, M.M. shows her clarinet’s hidden ability and hits Bianchi. Taking the opportunity, Bianchi takes the hit as she subtly touches the clarinet’s mouthpiece. Before there’s anytime, M.M. places the clarinet to her lips to deal the final blow, and instead ingests a glob of poison. Apparently, Bianchi’s Poison Cooking comes from the fact that anything that she touches becomes poisonous...this kind of sucks for Bianchi, cuz really, if I were to put so much effort into something like a food item that I wanted to give to someone and it turns out that the said person died from my cooking, well….geez, I’d never create anything ever again. I give props to Bianchi, she is a strong woman, both mentally and physically.
Enemies continue to appear one after the next in this arc, causing it to go by pretty fast. I think this arc was only 5 or 6 episodes long? Maybe 8. The next enemy we face is Birds, an elderly man that attaches cameras to the little tweety birds that he controls; we also get to meet 2 murderers that have an insatiable thirst for death, the twins Jiji and Djidji. It seems that Birds is in control of these twins as we see him use them for his own means, telling them to kill both Haru and Kyoko if Tsuna isn’t harmed by his famiglia. Birds finds pleasure in the torture of others, but he doesn’t wish to get his own hands dirty, which ultimately becomes his undoing.
For now, that is all, it seems my spell is losing power. Check back tomorrow to find out what happens next!

Hiya! Just wanted to make sure everyone knows this. Anime is Japanese Animation, NOT CARTOONS. Do we call Disney movies cartoons? DC Comic movies cartoons? NO. They are ANIMATED Movies. People need to drop the “Cartoons” label and try and understand what they don’t know.
Yes. A lot of well-known Anime appears childish...it’s just an art style. If I were to name one anime that has a childish, friendly appearance, Madoka Magica is the first to come to mind. I will tell you this right now, LOOKS ARE DECEIVING! Madoka Magica was created with a light-hearted and hopeful art style to help balance out the actual story...It is one hell of a twisted anime with a lot of dark s*!%. Honestly, that anime looks PG but is definitely at least PG13, only a teenager could possibly deal with what happens in that storyline, as an adult you could understand it even clearer.
Also, there are plenty of genres in Anime. Such as Magical Girl, Fighting/Shounen, Mecha, Horror, Slice of Life, Seinen, the list just goes on and on. Just like live action tv shows, if you like a certain theme then there’s an anime out there that you will like, you just gotta find it.
Well, that’s what I wanted to say. Until next time everyone!

Let’s talk Music
I’ll be honest, this time I wanted to talk a bit about some of the music that I have come across in Katekyo Hitman Reborn (KHR for short). This time, I’m gonna talk about the 1st opening, the title of the song is “Drawing Days” by Splay. Below are the English lyrics to this short opening:
youtube
An angel without wings told me, He had lost the map to go home. Powerless, I took a paintbrush, and poured water onto dried paint. Even if these eyes lose their light, I'll still draw. Even if these hands lose their strength, I'll still draw. A color that wraps everything together. A prayer that puts all my wishes together.
I never really thought that this song matched well with the show, but honestly, it matches perfectly! These lyrics are saying that the artist will never give up on their art, more importantly, nothing will stop the artist from completing their task (to get the angel home). KHR is about a young boy who has been told to become a mafia boss. This meek, powerless, “No-Good-Tsuna” a MAFIA BOSS! Even Tsuna believes that it’s a lost cause, but with the help of the arcobaleno, Reborn, Tsuna begins to realize that he does have the power to protect his friends, he just has to draw it out himself. In the next arc, we get to see Tsuna do that very thing as he faces off with his toughest enemy yet, Rokudo Mukuro.
“Drawing Days” has 2 intros in this series, Version 1 (V.1) and Version 2 (V.2).  V.1 tells the story of Tsuna meeting Reborn, and also the friends that he makes thanks to the little hitman tutor. In the second half of this opening, we get to meet the Tsuna’s friends and see what their personalities are like. When Yamamoto Takeshi appears he appears with a baseball bat...the very same one that Reborn gives him as he unknowingly trains to become a mafioso. Yamamoto’s bat, if swung at a certain unfathomable speed transforms into a katana, this is demonstrated when Takeshi is at the school grounds during summer break and has to successfully hit high-speed baseballs...oh did I forget to mention these baseballs have spikes...oh and, they explode on impact. Yeah, Takeshi continues to think that this is all a game of mafia, and refuses to acknowledge the truth that he could actually get killed if he trains with Reborn.
“Drawing Days” V.2 is actually the same opening. Same song, same first half, except that the second half of the opening illustrates the new foes coming in from the 2nd arc of the series. This arc is called the Kokuyo Land Arc, which introduces villains that have escaped an underground penitentiary known as Vendicare Prison, run by the Vendice (behn-dee-chey) a mafia organization that detains mafiosos that break the law. The Vendice is not to be underestimated, and are expected to be feared. Back to the opening, as the characters are introduced we get to see some fight scenes that are foreshadowed, along with the ending credit scene of Tsuna wearing his uniform in his Hyper-Dying Will mode. Apparently, this mode is different from the original easily seen as Tsuna isn’t acting super loud and forceful, but rather very calm and collected...oh and did you forget that he is WEARING his uniform?! In regular Dying Will mode, Tsuna rips out of his clothes and into his underwear due to the sheer force of his will, while Hyper-Dying Will mode allows Tsuna to remain calm and be able to see things more clearly, also coming with a little quirk that we will see later on in the Kokuyo Land Arc.

Finding the world of Reborn!
Tumblr media
Hiya! Luca’s back with some news! My majyk has been acting up all month long, perhaps it’s due to my allergies? Well, I was able to make contact with another a world through my Dark Mirror Spell, though thanks to my allergies the connection kept going in and out. But, I will do my very best to tell you everything that I’ve learned about this world!
Things start out with a little mafia guy whose name is Reborn. Apparently, this guy is a home tutor...and well, he’s an expert hitman...and yet he looks like he’s 5 years old. Strange, but I can’t really say what is strange in different dimensions compared to mine. Back to Reborn, this little guy is tutoring this middle school kid named Sawada Tsunayoshi--aka Tsuna. This kid doesn’t get any good grades, and seemingly can’t even play a game of volleyball successfully on his own. But thanks to Reborn, Tsuna gains some friends and his classmates stop calling him “No-Good-Tsuna.”
Tumblr media
Reborn has a little chameleon named Leon that can shapeshift into objects, and primarily transforms into a green gun that shoots unique bullets. Reborn calls them “Dying Will Bullets” and this little hitman uses them on Tsuna to unlock his maximum physical potential. This will only work as long the victim has regrets before he dies. Thankfully, Tsuna has a lot of regrets, and he’s such a kind kid.
I completely forgot to tell you all where this is all happening! This world seems to be based on the mafia, you’d think that this would all be in Italy. Well, Reborn is actually from Italy, and so is the family that hired him. But the world where Tsuna lives is actually in modern day Japan, and his school is Namimori Junior High. Apparently, Tsuna is a descendent of the current mafia boss of the Vongola Famiglia, the current boss being the 9th in succession. Also called, Vongola Nono, Italian for Vongola Nineth.
Everything that I have seen so far is essentially Reborn training Tsuna to become the next Vongola boss, Vongola Decimo. Tsuna is quite reluctant, but still follows what Reborn says, even as it entangles Tsuna’s friends into the mess as well. So, let me introduce you to Tsuna’s friends, and as Reborn refers to them, Tsuna’s Family.
First we meet a lot of students at Namimori Junior, and quite a bit of them don’t have very good views of Tsuna, but then there’s the baseball nut, Yamamoto Takeshi. Takeshi is an overly naive guy and only sees the good in everybody, which automatically puts him on Tsuna’s side which happens nearly right away. After the volleyball game, Takeshi walks over to Tsuna and a new Italian transfer student, Gokudera, meanwhile there is dynamite all over the ground. Takeshi picks one up and thinks that the two are just playing a game, and insists that he be able to join this mafia game. I fear that one day Takeshi is going to end up dead due to his oblivious nature, and the fact that Reborn keeps trying to train him as a swordsmen with lethal means.
Tumblr media
Next up is Gokudera Hayato, a transfer student straight from Italy itself. He’s familiar with the Vongola Famiglia and the amount of strength and authority they have over many families. Gokudera is also called “Hurricane Bomb Hayato,” due to the excessive amount of dynamite that he can hide on his body. Apparently Gokudera is a candidate for the succession of Vongola Decimo, which Tsuna is as well. Heard from Reborn, Gokudera declares a fight between him and Tsuna for the title of Decimo, whipping out live dynamite. In the end, Tsuna wins with his dying will, and Gokudera admits his loyalty to Tsuna, calling him “Tenth” every time they meet. Gokudera’s personality is definitely that of a bad boy, but he has a sweet side to him as well...not to mention a PTSD reaction every time he sees his older sister, “Poison Scorpion Bianchi.”
Tumblr media
Next in this family we meet Lambo-kun! Lambo is a 5 year old hitman from the Bovino Famiglia. Lambo has been given active weapons such as, grenades, rockets launchers, etc. He has also been given the safe keeping of the Bovino Famiglia’s Ten Year Bazooka, which transports the selected person 10 years into the future, and brings back the 10 years older version for 5 minutes before being sent back to their timeline. Lambo isn’t supposed to use this, but he has a habit of bringing it out whenever he can’t control his emotions. Ten years older Lambo, called Adult Lambo by Tsuna and his family, is a bit of a ladies man catching the eyes of one of Namimori Junior’s female students. Unfortunately, Adult Lambo also bears a striking resemblance to Bianchi’s cheating ex, Romeo, which she tries to kill continuously...and actually has killed Romeo, but she has PTSD moments just like Gokudera.
Tumblr media
We meet the head of Namimori Junior’s Disciplinary Committee, Hibari Kyoya. Hibari is a third year and pretty much rules the school, even the teachers fear him. This strict man disciplines anybody that crowds together on campus, and if you don’t get away fast enough you will be beat to an inch of your life by him and his metal tonfas. This guy is still a bit unknown due to the fact that everyone wants to stay away from him, and he is super happy with that. He does find joy when facing strong opponents, as his surprise was evident when he attacked Reborn and the young mafioso guarded with amazing strength.
Tumblr media
The last person we meet is Sasagawa Ryohei, another third year and captain of the Boxing Club. Ryohei is also the older brother of Tsuna’s crush, Sasagawa Kyoko-chan. All that Ryohei wants is to find someone that he can spar with and when he sees Tsuna run across town to confess his love to Kyoko, Ryohei immediately follows and wants Tsuna to join his club. Personality wise, Ryohei is a very straight forward man, and I mean STRAIGHT FORWARD! If he finds something that he wants, he will not stop until he gets it, no matter how intimidating or annoying he might come across. His personality is just to bright, and no one can work up the courage to say “No” to him.
Tumblr media
Well, this was as far as I got, with the few days of my connection working. Next time I get my Dark Mirror Spell to work, I’ll let you all know! Until next time everyone.

Who am I?
Tumblr media
“To start things off, my name’s Luca, and I am a dark sprite that exists in a world that I call, the Void. Yes, I said that right. I’m a sprite that was born out of darkness, and to be honest there aren’t that many of us. There are other sprites that exist in the Void, light sprites, water sprites, earth sprites, and...well, I think you get the idea. The Void isn’t a desolate place, it’s just completely separate from any other plane of existence. Thanks to the other sprites, our world probably looks a lot like yours, and sadly, the other sprites don’t look kindly on dark sprites. I’ve been told many times that my existence is a threat to their society. So in secret, I’ve been learning Majyk, this way one day I may hope to escape the Void and live in another world.”
“And I finally did it! I created a portal using the Dark Mirror Spell, but my majyk isn’t strong enough. I can only use this spell as a lens to see into other worlds, I can’t actually pass through it just yet. But hopefully one day, I’ll be strong enough to use this spell correctly. Just keep telling yourself, Luca, ‘In time you’ll be able to escape this place, just keep practicing.’ The problem is that this spell is extremely time sensitive, and I can only keep it open for so long.” *sigh* “And it looks like the contents of the spell will change the different worlds that I can see into, so if I want to keep an eye on just one world, I need to make sure that I have the right ingredients for the spell. Majyk is so complicated.”
“Oh that’s right, I’m using majyk to communicate all of this to you now, as well! Although, this is my personal reserve so it’s as if you all can see my thoughts as I think them...Oh no. I need to be careful then.” *chuckles* “Well, I hope you all will enjoy my thoughts, and hopefully we can find some intriguing worlds together! Until the time I use the Dark Mirror Spell!”
