what the fuck is causing this?

I’m sorrrrr frustrated I have no clue. is there a new way to check mods folder? it’s not effecting the sim just his pic. it must be a skin detail or something messed up from the update. but i swear it was fine when i downloaded growing together. i did merge some stuff in my mods folder but unmerged all of them (should have made a copy of the folder but im stupiddddd).

nonbinary sims

I’ve been pretty mia and out of the loop with sims content, but I recently started playing the game again. I’ve been pleased with the nonbinary representation but there is one issue I’ve come across; I know there are cheats in the game that allow fem frame sims to be recognized as having a male chest but i dont see that reflected in the game. my sim is non binary and i want to reflect that by emulating top surgery without changing the sim themselves to male. Is there a mod/slider that can help with this?

not sims but a personal update. if anyone is interested.

sooooo. i graduated with a screenwriting degree. i kind of wrote an entire 15 chapter book about Regulus Black. anyone interested in that? will be posting on ao3 when i get an account.

it takes place at the end of regulus’ seventh year through to the cave. there is light wolfstar, implied jegulus pining, canon compliant. pandora lestrange inclusion.

plus side to kits - oh some added game play

down side - withheld content from bigger packs pieced off and resold to us as “new” content AGAIN. chores legit look like it was withheld content from parenthood and laundry day.

tin hat theory #1 - they’re gonna sell those past survey answers we’ve given as “kits” instead of packs. it’s a last ditch cash grab.

tin hat theory #2 - kits is going to be a test run for whether to roll out the return of the sims 3 store for sims 5.

tin hat theory #3 - that store along with this patreon experiment is legit gonna set the stage for some sort of online marketplace (like imvu, roblox, and SL have). great in that we get a tiny bit of regulation wrt custom content (bc some of these creators are fucking on one) and you wont have to bust your ass each month. bad in that EA will be in control of it and most def take a bigger cut of each sale than patreon lmao.

this is just a quick tutorial on how to use mc command center’s copy/paste setting, which is extremely useful when you’re playing the game and want to use a cool makeover of an eaxis townie you saw on the gallery/tumblr, but you don’t want that sim your replacing in game to lose their relationship progresses, skills, etc. well, this handy tool allows you to just change their looks and without having to load into create-a-sim!

thoughts on the new pack:

why do we even have game packs at this point? there seems to be no difference to me as get famous and vampires offer equivalent content. i know it’s been asked before but let’s please get rid of stuff packs completely so the game packs come more often and make bigger expansions more on par with what we saw in TS2/3. i’m honestly happy about getting more snow content but i’m finding it really hard to get excited bc there seems to be a huge disconnect from the precedents set by previous versions of the sims. the game feels empty unless you spend hundreds on packs that could easily be larger. i’m glad they released this though because i’ve been having a hard time with the direction the game has gone in especially with star wars and this seems to be a step in the right direction. but as always jessie puts it best
