Ranking of DR2 girls based on how shippable (I think) they are with Kazuichi.

Ibuki. I mean come on. Look at them. I feel like I shouldn't have to explain it but they have such perfect potential to be besties-to-lovers. No brainier, IMO.

Mahiru. If anyone gets Kazuichi to get his act together, it's her. But it's because she wants him to be better for his sake. Maybe Kazuichi teaches her thing or two in return, and gets her to reassess her biases towards boys. Definitely makes for a mutual pining slow-burn.

Mikan. Cry 👏 Baby 👏 Solidarity! They have so much in common it hurts! And speaking of: So much hurt/comfort material between these two, and it goes both ways!

Akane. Kazuichi would def be attracted to Akane, and Akane has no problem hanging out with boys. Kazuichi may not have the physicality she's looking for, but she can appreciate a handyman. If not romantic, then the two make for a good found family case.

Chiaki. This one I'm entirely neutral on. They play games, Chiaki always wins, and sometimes he fixes her consoles/controllers. I'm content to leave this as a platonic one.

Sonia. Fumble of the century. I have a love-hate relationship with this pairing, because it could have been good but MY GOD there was no reason to write Kazuichi as such a creep. I know there's a handful of folks who ship this in earnest, so mad respect to them.

Peko. I mean... Kazuichi finds her hot, sure, but I don't think he's expressed any romantic attraction, either. It might be plausible if Peko wasn't tied so closely to Fuyuhiko, but good luck ever getting that to happen.

Hiyoko. Let's be real, Kazuichi is Hiyoko's second favorite to pick on, behind Mikan. They bicker like siblings, and have no foundation outside that.

Bonus: Miu! This one's like 3.5, between Mikan and Akane. Kazuichi would 100% be intimidated by Miu, but that wouldn't stop their mutual love of half-baked inventions. Kazuichi's class would wonder how the hell he pulled such a baddie while Miu's class thinks he'd be good for her.

Kazuichi and Ibuki could definitely have known each other prior to high school, before they settled into their current looks.

Maybe once they both got to Hope’s Peak, they didn’t even recognize each other at first.
