Duped
AO3
Summary: (Reverse Portal AU) Stan and Dipper discover they have a lot more in common than they thought.
Warnings: references to alcohol abuse
Genre: Familial Fluff
Characters: Dipper Pines, Stan Pines
Notes: Requested by @hurricanelistmaker. There may be some references to the RP Mind Wipe AU. This just really reminded me of it.
----------
The past week had been an absolute whirlwind of weird. Not just the Gravity Falls type of ultimately harmless. No, this weird was a weird that could've destroyed the world if done incorrectly. First, the youngest Pines discovered their seemingly boring Great-Uncle Ford was building a doomsday device in a basement they knew nothing about. Second, from that portal arrives another great-uncle the youngest Pines knew nothing about!
On the topic of Great-Uncle Ford, Dipper couldn't find him anywhere. Someone had moved the axolotl feed to where Dipper couldn't reach it. Judging by the muffled bangs from below the house, Ford was down in the basement again, where the children weren't allowed. The younger twins hadn't seen hide nor hair of their caretaker since his brother returned.
Great-Uncle (or Grunkle, as he insisted the children call him) Stan was a pretty cool guy though. In the past week, he'd already taught Dipper and Mabel how to box, sword fight, and swindle some suckers from town. Dipper questioned his morals but went along with his lessons anyways. Stan had even questionably obtained a sketchbook for Dipper to write in instead of Great-Uncle Ford's old journal.
Back to the problem at hand for the youngest Pines, someone had moved the axolotl feed. There weren't any step ladders in the house that Dipper knew of and standing on the couch to reach the little blue canister seemed too risky.
Dipper left for the nearest room noise came from: the kitchen. "Great-Uncle Ford!"
-----
Stan swore in all the languages he'd learned. He was going to go mad living here! He'd only lived here a week and he was getting sick of all this organic junk Ford lived on. The cranky old nerd was spending all of his waking hours in the basement pulling apart the portal without help.
Seriously though, how did his nutters brother and the children live on this "health food" junk? Fruits and vegetables? Gross. It was quite possibly worse than what Stan scrounged up in the multiverse! That at least tasted like meat!
Stan was just about tempted to murder Mabel's pig if it meant he could get some good grub. He didn't care if she hated him for it!
He did.
She was wonderful.
At a loss, Stan grabbed a piece of bread and stuffed it in his mouth, satiating his dripping appetite. From the doorway, Dipper called out for his dumb drunk great-uncle.
-----
Dipper stopped short in the kitchen doorway, his next call dying on his lips. Leaning back on his heels to see the higher cupboard shelves was the boy's estranged, one-armed, great-uncle. "Great-Uncle Stan?" The man in question spun around dangerously quick and stumbled. A piece of bread hung from the man's mouth.
"Um." Stan's mouth fell open and the saliva-soggy half-eaten piece of bread hit the tile floor with a disgusting squelch. Both men's eyes met the bread on the floor, Dipper with a grossed out cringe. "Um." Stan muttered again, face barely flushed from being caught. He reached out a booted foot and shoved the bread under the lip of the lower cabinets before looking up at Dipper and waving his hand. "You din't see nothin'." Stan said darkly. Dipper nodded, choking back his comment on the double negative with a scared squeak. Stan's demeanor shifted suddenly to a more playful tone and he crossed over to Dipper, throwing his arm around the boy's shoulders. "Whatcha need, squirt?"
"Someone moved the axolotl feed and I can't reach it now." Dipper lamented as Stan returned to the task of overturning the whole kitchen. Dipper finally stepped into the kitchen and leaned against the counter.
"Sounds like a you problem, kiddo."
Hoping to use his own tricks against him, Dipper looked for a bargaining chip. "What are you looking for?" Had Stan actually rubbed off on him that quickly? Dipper supposed he saw a lot more of Stan than Ford. The boy shivered, uncomfortable with that train of thought. They should probably make sure Ford was okay if the increase in frequency of the bangs from below was anything to go by.
"You're smart, whaddya think?" Before Dipper could even start reasoning, Stan interrupted again. "I'm lookin' for somethin' to eat that isn't boring or vegetarian." He spit the last word out with such distaste that Dipper let out a crackly little laugh. Bargaining chip acquired. Now he just had to use it.
"Good luck with that, man." Stan turned to glower at the petite twelve-year-old. For the peeved façade the man put up, Dipper could see the intrigue behind it. "Get me the axolotl feed and I'll let you eat from Mabel and I's food stash?" Stan didn't look convinced. "We have beef jerky." That got the conman's attention. The cupboard door slammed shut and echoed in the kitchen space.
"Thank Moses for you, kid!" Dipper smiled mischievously. "Why are you-- Hey wait a minute!" Dipper burst out laughing and headed to the living room, leaving a proud and spluttering Stan in his wake.
-----
After recovering from being duped by the little miscreant, Stan followed Dipper into the living room. In a wooden case sat the axolotl tank, the little pink salamander floating around and bonking into the glass walls.
"Y'know I met a sentient axolotl once." Stan said as he reached up for the canister the kid indicated.
"Really?" He scream-asked. Stan covered his ear with his remaining hand then held out the canister to Dipper.
"Jeez kid, you're worse than Poindexter!" The old man mumbled.
"Speaking of-" Moses, you talk just like him. "-where is Great-Uncle Ford?"
"Oh he's prob'ly off doin' unholy science in the basement." Stan knew very well what his brother was doing. He was sitting alone in the basement, trying to tear apart the portal, running purely on vodka and bourbon. Ironically, another bang sounded and rattled the frame of the house.
Stan and Dipper watched the axolotl float about in comfortable silence. Dipper dropped a couple pellets into the water and with a ferocity that should be strictly reserved for sharks, the axolotl snapped out and caught the tiny pellets in its little mouth. The two watched the little salamander swim around for a bit, its fronds flicking as Stan spoke up again. "So... ya got any other weird pets?"
"We had a compsognathus for a little while. It started stealing Great-Uncle Ford's pens, though." There was an unmistakable sadness in the boy's voice so Stan laid a hand on his shoulder. "We gave him to Farmer Sprott to take care of." Dipper pulled out his journal and showed the sketches of the chicken-sized dinosaur to Stan.
"Oh man that's cool. I'd love to go visit him if we can."
"Oh, yeah, we visit him every once in a while. He's really happy with Farmer Sprott." Dipper paused for a minute. "Did you ever see any dinosaurs in the multiverse?"
"No, I didn't. Woulda been cool though. Any other pets?"
"Yeah," Dipper took Stan's hand and led him out to a small pond a little ways into the forest. Stan was instantly on high alert. Dipper sat down by the bank but Stan stayed standing, surveying the area.
"Great-Uncle Ford has a pet plaidypus. He had this pond built a little after he found her. She was abandoned by her mother when she was a baby because her bill was cracked and her tail was damaged." Stan could immediately feel the hurt in his heart at that. Said pain only intensified when the strange red plaid patterned creature emerged from the water and rubbed up against Dipper's hand, beckoning pets. Dipper giggled and patted the weird little thing on the head, making its tail paff against the grass.
Stan just watched, frozen in curiosity and sadness when a little tug at his pant leg caught his attention. Looking down, he found an even smaller plaidypus chewing on his pant leg with the same chipped bill and malformed tail. The mother came over to retrieve her child and Stan just watched in wonder as mother and baby bonded, laying down in the grass together.
"What can you tell me about the axolotl you met?" Dipper spoke up softly, breaking Stan away from the pair of plaidypus. Deciding the place was safe enough, Stan sat down next to Dipper who took out a notepad and pen. As Stan began his story, he gesticulated wildly, completely enthralling Dipper.
"Well it was huge! Like the size of a whale!..."

Dr LEE
Tumblr media
summary: in which the sweet, single dad, pediatric surgeon, Taeyong start getting feelings for his son’s babysitter, you.
ALL MY COVERS HAVE THE NAME INSOMNIAC BECAUSE THIS WAS FROM MY OTHER ACCOUNT!!
HELLO LOVES~ oh my it’s been a while and I really apologise. The story is slightly heavier than usual but still sweet. Another long one. I hope you all enjoy it!
pairings: doctors! single dad! Taeyong x female reader!
genre: FLUFF
·Leads the ‘handsome doctors' group
·A PEDIATRIC SURGEON UWU
·Has unreal features. Seriously, you see him and you might think you had just bumped into a fairy or elf.
·One of his patients call him the Fairy Prince
·I mean, he looks hella ethereal sooo...
·“Dr Lee, do you secretly have wings?” “Uhm... yeah but I hide them because they are really big.” “BUT HOW WILL YOUR FAIRY PRINCESS KNOW IT’S YOU?” “Min Seo...”
·The kids adore and love him very much.
·“Dr Lee~ I think you are my favourite doctor in the entire world!” “My uwus spilled omg. MA’AM DO YOU MIND IF I HUG HIM?”
·Gives the best advice. That one friend you can tell everything and he’ll help you as much as he can.
·“I’m really sorry you had to go through that. You don’t have to hang around people like that okay? If you’re worried about having nobody just remember I’m here. Always.” followed by a really warm hug.
·Will normally comfort you until you feel better.
·Nobody admits this, but he looks hot during a surgery.
·“DID YOU SEE THE WAY HE HELD THAT SCALPEL? MY OVARIES.”
·Brings food for the guys all the time.
·If he wasn’t a doctor, he’d be a chef.
·He could make you a 3-hour braised beef stew and the next day he would bring cream puffs.
·Loves making food for people
· Besides that, he also loves to dance. Like not those awkward wiggling, he's an amazing dancer.
·Sometimes he would dance in the corridors while listening to his favourite music, not realizing the crowd he attracted.
·Gets super smiley when people clap.
·Takes care of the younger doctors.
·“Jungwoo, did you get some rest?” “Not yet.” “what the hell are you doing here then? You're pretty free at the moment. Go take a nap.”
·Has a bad habit of always taking the blame.
·“guys, it wasn't your fault. It was mine. I should've been more responsible and taken it seriously. I'm really sorry for disappointing all of you.”
·The guys know it isn't anyone's fault but because he always insists it’s his, they can't say anything about it.
·They get really worried for him but he always assures them that he's alright.
·Knows everyone’s secrets.
·He knows who has a crush on who, who ate the chief's food, who has been having make-out sessions in the break room.
·HE. KNOWS. EVERYTHING
·It's not because he's sneaky and likes to stick his nose into people's business, it's because everyone tells him everything or he's always getting himself into awkward situations.
·He's so good at keeping things. He's trustworthy.
·“wait so you knew that she's been making out with the chief?” “look, I didn't mean to walk in on them. I JUST WANTED A NAP.”
·The guys always tease him for his bad timing
·Besides that, everyone is happy when they meet Taeyong.
·He's literally an angel omg
·Back to an earlier point, the type of guy who will do EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING to cheer anyone up.
·He helps everyone but doesn't expect anything in return.
·He believes that kindness is the one thing that can help our world to become a better place.
·Not strict with the residents and interns but they know not to mess with him.
·He's never actually yelled at anyone.
·“I understand you're new to this, but how do you expect me to not be annoyed when you can't take a dirty diaper seriously? You work in a pediatric ward. It's either you grow up or find something else to do and stop wasting our time.”
·It's those type of warnings that are super casual and “OH SHIT YOU SCREWED MAH BOI” kind of thing y'know?
·But normally the residents under him are pretty good and mature.
·Same age as Dr Seo and Dr Nakamoto. Loves hanging out with them.
·“JOHNNY, YUTA LETS GO HAVE FUN!” “UNO AND COFFEE?” “HELL YEAH.”
·Kids flipping love him.
·They can literally stop crying the minute he walks into the room.
·“SOMEONE GET DR LEE, THERE'S A CRYING CHILD IN THE CORRIDOR AND I DON’T KNOW WHERE HER PARENTS ARE.”
·Has a very comforting and calming aura
·Gets really worried for the kids and prays he does a good job before a surgery.
·Also, because the kids he's about to operate on reminds him of his own kid.
·Yeap, this year has been especially tough for Taeyong. He had gotten out of a 6-year relationship and she left their child with him because she was tired and wanted to start a new life. He wasn't mad at her cause they had a child together when they were young, he was just really… badly hurt.
·*heart clenches* boo boo is actually really heartbroken but he hides it really well. He truly loved her with all his heart. Also blames himself for her leaving him.
·The guys know it, their girlfriends know it heck even Min Jae notices it but he would always hug his dad.
·“Papa, please don’t be sad. You must be happy!” Min Jae hugged Taeyong. Taeyong hugged Min Jae tightly. Min Jae was Taeyong's source of motivation.
·He honestly felt bad because Min Jae only grew up with his mom for the first 2 years of his life and even then, she was barely there for him. She was either flying somewhere or on her phone. Min Jae hardly remembers anything but her appearance. Taeyong basically raised Min Jae by himself.
·Min Jae's mom was a model. They met each other at a party back when Taeyong was a student. And well, the rest was history.
·Taeyong has been trying to balance time with his son and his work. After the first 2 months, he managed to fix it all with the exception of late surgeries. Then only, Min Jae would stay the night at his aunt's house.
·For a 5-year-old, Min Jae was very smart. He understood that his father was a doctor and how doctors are always busy.
·“Min Jae, c'mon the bus is waiting for you buddy.” As Taeyong drop Min Jae off at the bus area, Min Jae hugs him “Papa, be a good doctor okay? Help a lot of people!” Min Jae cheered on.
·The sight was so cute and sweet as Taeyong lifted him up and pecked Min Jae's little face.
·Huhu the moms at the bus stop always stare at this beautiful man, dropping his kid off.
·Anyways, sometimes if Taeyong had to work a few more hours, he'd pick him up and Min Jae would play quietly in Taeyong's office.
·AND THIS IS WHEN ALL HIS AMAZING UNCLES WOULD COME IN. *cries a lil*
·“UNCLES!” Min Jae cheered as he saw the whole lot of them walk in.
·“Hey Buddy! We heard you were here, so we came to visit.” “I swear to god, you guys only visit my office when I spill tea or when Min Jae is around.” The guys shrugged BECAUSE THEY KNOW ITS TRUE.
·They would take care of Min Jae as Taeyong finished the paperwork he had.
·The guys noticed how tired he looked in the past few weeks.
·“Hyung, why don't you hire a babysitter? At least, he or she could pick him up from kindergarten, make his lunch and take care of him.” Jungwoo offered. The rest of them agreed. They knew Taeyong wants to take care of Min Jae but some days, he just can't.
·“look, I know an agency that has like the best babysitters. I'll give you their number.” Doyoung said.
·Taeyong was always thankful for his friends’ support
·Taeyong did contact the agency and the next week, a middle-aged woman came. It was in the morning before Min Jae went to kindergarten.
·She was lovely and Taeyong thought Min Jae was going to be okay. But the minute Taeyong walked out the door, he could hear Min Jae crying. He turned around and saw that Min Jae opened the door and he was running towards Taeyong.
·“papa… don't leave me. Please.” He cried on Taeyong's shoulder. Taeyong hugged him tightly before picking him up. He tried to comfort Min Jae.
·Taeyong looked at his small figure. “buddy, will you listen to your babysitter for me? She-” “I don’t want her.” Taeyong sighed.
·“Why? You haven't met her yet.” “she... she reminds me of mommy. I don’t like it.” Taeyong's heart broke at that very moment. Throughout this whole time, he was worried Min Jae would feel left out because he didn't have a mom.
·He walked back into the house and looked at the babysitter guiltily.
·He explained to the babysitter and he promised to pay her extra. The babysitter understood completely and told him there was no need. Taeyong was back to square one.
·On the way to the bus stop, he asked Min Jae “Min Jae, how did she remind you of mommy?”
·“her clothes and face. She wore red on her lips like mommy too. Mommy wore a lot of dresses like hers too.” Taeyong nodded. Taeyong hugged Min Jae before letting him go onto the bus.
·Weeks pass by, and Taeyong was really stressed. Every babysitter he hired were too strict or they were too demanding.
·Min Jae wasn’t feeling any better either. He was quieter than usual.
·One day, Taeyong had a surgery that ended later than anticipated. After the surgery, he checked his watch and nobody has seen Taeyong panic that badly.
·“CRAP, CRAP, SHIT I NEED TO GO GET MIN JAE SHIT IM LATE.” He ran while putting on his coat.
·He got into his car and drove off. He was worried about Min Jae. Quietly praying that he wasn’t alone
·As he pulled up at the kindergarten, he ran out and to his surprise, he heard Min Jae giggling.
·“PAPA!” He saw Min Jae run towards him, he crouched down with open arms. Min Jae hugged his father straight away.
·“Min Jae, buddy I'm so sorry I was late. I’I-” “It's okay, Papa. Miss Y/N told me you were helping a superhero.” Taeyong lifted an eyebrow. “Miss Y/N?” Min Jae pointed behind him and saw you. You were wearing an army green pinafore over a grey t-shirt. Your smile caught him off guard.
· “You must be Min Jae's dad. Hi, I'm Y/N.” you greeted. Taeyong coughed before greeting you back.
·“I… I’m Taeyong.” He said. He felt Min Jae tug his shirt, he finally snapped out of it. “Thank you for waiting with him. I had a last-minute surgery and I'm still finding a babysitter for Min Jae.”
·“Ahh, it's alright Mr Lee, I live nearby anyway and Min Jae is a lovely boy.” You looked down to see Min Jae smiling.
·“Well, thank you anyways. C'mon buddy, let's go.” He was about to walk before he noticed that Min Jae wasn't moving.
·“Can Miss Y/N be my babysitter?” Taeyong’s eyes widen and looked back at you. “I'm sorry bud, Miss Y/N is probably really busy.” You looked at the man, clearly struggling to take care of Min Jae by himself.
·“Um Mr Lee, I actually don't mind taking care of him. I'm only working at the kindergarten part-time and I've been looking for a second job for a while now. If you don’t mind, I would love to babysit Min Jae.”
·“I would normally decline but I'm really desperate now, will you do it?” you nod and you could clearly see his face ease.
·You discussed the details and you started the following day.
·You followed his exact instructions. Send Min Jae to the bus stop if needed, pick him up, either bring him out then home or hospital if told.
·Weeks later,
·Taeyong had some time to send him to the bus stop.
·As Taeyong was fixing Min Jae's coat, he told Min Jae, “Buddy, today Miss Y/N will bring you to the hospital okay? Papa wants to bring you for ice cream later.” Min Jae nodded happily and kissed Taeyong. “Bye Papa, I love you!” he waved as he got onto the bus.
·Taeyong went to the hospital and went on with his work. He went by his day with ease. Few hours later, the guys asked if he would like to join them for coffee, he agreed.
·For the first time in weeks, he could join the guys for coffee. The guys were happy to see their best friend slightly less stressed.
·“Taeyong~” he heard from behind him. It was one of the nurses who has liked him for months.
·The younger guys were all trying to hold their laugh while the older guys were smirking.
·“Oh, um hello Nurse Song.” “Oh, Taeyong! Call me Yu Jin please. Anyways, I was wondering if maybe this Friday you were-” suddenly his phone rang. “Ah, sorry Nurse Song. My son just arrived, I got to get him. Maybe some other time.” He quickly left. The rest of the guys just watched as the young lady huffed and walked away.
·He walked to the lobby and saw Min Jae and you sitting and you were reading a story to him.
·You saw Taeyong from behind Min Jae and he made a shushing gesture. You smiled and saw as Taeyong covered Min Jae’s eyes. Min Jae was squealing and giggling. “Papa!” he turned and wrapped his hands on Taeyong’s neck. Taeyong groaned a little before carrying Min Jae.
·“Thank you, Y/N. I really appreciate it.” “No problem Mr L-” “Just call me Taeyong. I don’t think you’re much younger than me.” “Well Taeyong, do you have a bit of time? I actually need to discuss something with you regarding Min Jae.”
·You both sat down at the lobby while Min Jae played at the little play area they had set up.
·“The teachers and I have noticed that he has been quieter than usual recently. Every teacher asked him why and he would just shrug it off. Today, I tried and he told me that…” Taeyong stared at you intently, waiting for an answer. “He’s worried about you.”
·“Me? Why is he worried about me?” “He says it’s because you’ve been lonely ever since… ever since his mom left.” Taeyong slumped against the chair.
·“A 5-year-old was worried about my dating life? Holy shit.” He thought.
·“I did tell him that you had him but he said you didn’t have someone like your ex-wife.”
·“Ex. We were never married.” Your eyes widen and you were going to apologize before he stopped you “It’s alright. We did want Min Jae but after a while she felt the pressure of being a mom.”
·You both sat in silence. “I didn’t know if I should’ve told you.” He looked at you “Hey, it’s okay. Min Jae’s probably just dropping hints that he wants me to go get a girlfriend.” You chuckle a little before covering your mouth. You decided it was time to leave and you said bye to both Min Jae and Taeyong.
· On the way home, Min Jae couldn’t stop talking about you and Taeyong knew Min Jae adored you very much.
·“Papa, are you free tomorrow?” he asked Taeyong. Taeyong nodded happily.
·“Can we go to the aquarium? Miss Y/N was talking about the sea animals earlier.” “Sure buddy.”
· The next day, Min Jae woke Taeyong by jumping onto him.
·*Insomniac is screaming as she writes this*
·He got up… eventually and got ready.
·They arrived at the aquarium and it was fairly empty because it was still quite early.
·Min Jae was so fascinated to see all the marine life.
·“Min Jae, what’s your favourite sea animal?” “I think mine is a sea turtle. They look like seabirds.” Taeyong laughed at Min Jae’s description of turtles. They were walking when Min Jae started giggling.
·“MISS Y/N!!!” he ran towards to you with open arms. You were squatting, trying to pick something up. The impact of his hug was so strong you nearly fell.
·You saw Taeyong run towards the both of you and he gave you his hand. You grabbed onto it as he pulled you up.
·“Fancy seeing you here.” “It was a last-minute plan.” You giggled. You squeezed Min Jae’s chubby cheeks.
·“Are you alone?” he asked you. You nodded. “I was going to take pictures of the animals to show his class.” Out of nowhere, Taeyong mustered up the courage to ask if you would like to follow them around. You happily agreed and followed them around.
·“Miss Y/N, I know how to spell manatee now! M-A-N-A-T-E-E!” “Very good Min Jae!” you clapped.
·Taeyong watched at how happy Min Jae was with you.
·You and Taeyong sat on a bench as you watched Min Jae play at the playground with other kids.
·“I’m really sorry that you have to take care of him.” “Please don’t be sorry. I asked for the job and I really love it.” “I just wish I could be there for him more often, I’m a horrible parent.” You turned to him and saw his hands covering his face. You placed a hand onto his shoulder.
·“What was his mom like?” he turned to you and smiled.
·“She… she was this burst of energy. She was so lively and wild. I thought I found the love of my life and when she agreed to have a child together, I thought she was just as excited but she wasn’t. The only times I could see her care about Min Jae was when she was posting a picture of him or when we went out. I had so many arguments with my parents about her and I was an asshole to them.” You watched as this man, you barely knew started to break down in front of you.
·“They told me to be careful. To make the right choices and to actually think if she was the woman, I wanted to spend my life with. I was so blind to see that she only agreed to have Min Jae so it could boost her fame.” Your eyes widen slightly. He gave a half smile
·“Yeah, she told me that on the night she left. She always depended on me to take care of him. Every single damn time I came home later than usual, she’ll threaten to leave me. I don’t blame her for leaving me though, I’m not the greatest lover. I would leave me too.”
·“hey, don’t say that. Being a parent isn’t an easy job. The fact that you raised and took care of that little boy by yourself while being a doctor is amazing. He has grown to be this sweet, intelligent and thoughtful boy. You did that. Don’t blame yourself for something that you couldn’t control. His mom wasn’t ready to be a mom and she was probably scared. Or she just had a tough time in showing affection. Things happen. We can’t plan a perfect life, that’s not how life works but you can make an enjoyable one. Please don’t blame yourself, Min Jae wouldn’t want you to feel that way.” You comfort and for the first time, the tables were turned.
·For the first time, someone was giving him comforting words, warmth and help.
·For the first time in a long time, he felt himself break this wall he had.
·He began tearing up, you quickly scooted close to him. You placed a hand on his back and rubbed soothing circles.
·“Thank you.” He said softly. You gave a smile and continued to comfort him.
·For as long as you’ve known Taeyong, he wasn’t a man of many words. Yes, he did hold short conversations but that was it. You’ve obviously seen this mysterious man at school, picking Min Jae up or at parent meets. Never in your entire life, did you think you’d be on that bench, comforting Taeyong.
·“Oh god, I’m sorry about that.” He sniffed. “It’s alright.” You say. He gained his composure and sat up straight. “What about you? What are the problems you’re facing?” he asked.
·It was funny, that whole situation. You only knew Taeyong as the parent of the child you’re taking care of and now you might be able to consider him as a friend.
·“Well, I live alone. My financial status isn’t bad but I still need to work a lot for bills and stuff. And I’ve been single for like my whole life??? Yeah, that’s the one.”
·Taeyong raised an eyebrow. “Is it because you’re busy or you’re picky?” you hit his shoulder lightly. “I think you can call me those few people who are afraid of love. Tell me doctor, what does romantic love feel like?” he thought about it quietly.
·“Love is… walking into the bathroom even though the other is taking a shower or on the toilet and they aren’t mad. Love is cooking together, messing the kitchen up and settling for takeout. Love is farting really loudly and not caring. Love is… knowing you can spend your life, happily with them. Having extravagant dinners for anniversaries or cup ramen with a movie. Love is simple concept but it’s the hardest to achieve. Once you do have a taste of it, you never want to let go of this precious thing.”
·“Did you steal this from the internet?” you jokingly asked. He looked at you dead in the eye. “Twitter.” Both of you burst out laughing.
·(huhu I actually thought of that, I didn’t take it from anywhere. Just needed to add some light-heartedness into the story)
·Min Jae came to the both of you and told you that he was hungry. Taeyong offered to go to their house where he can whip something up and at first you were gonna decline but you’ve seen Min Jae’s lunchbox so you said yes.
·He asked if you drove here but you told him you took a taxi. He then told you he’ll drive you to their house.
·You’ve obviously been to their apartment and clean was a freaking understatement. THE MAN IS OBSESSED WITH FEBREEZE. He has a whole stock of the cleaning product.
·you were helping Min Jae with his homework in the living room when he said he wanted to do it himself. You walked to the kitchen and saw Taeyong cutting up vegetables.
·“What are you making, chef?” you hopped onto one of their stools.
· He turned and smiled. “You’ll see~” you pout and watch as the man worked.
·“You need help?” “That would be great.” You walked over to his side.
·“Pass me the scalp- I mean knife!” you laughed. “Ahh, it’s alright. Will you need the forceps too?” you showed the thongs. He grinned and shook his head. “Not yet, I believe.”
· In the end, funny stories were told and jokes were exchanged. You helped pass him the cooking appliances. You eventually found out he was making dumplings.
·Having lunch at the Lee household was so fun. Min Jae and Taeyong were telling you of each other’s most embarrassing moments.
·“Then, Papa slipped and fell on his butt!” “Ha-ha, very funny son but remember that time your pants were on backwards and when I told you, you just told me it was ‘cool’?” You couldn’t stop laughing, the two of them were bickering as if they were the same age. Min Jae’s best friend was his dad. His role model was his dad. His everything was his dad.
·You finally left with a full stomach and some leftover dumplings Taeyong decided to give you.
·“You like her, don’t you Papa?” Min Jae asked Taeyong. Taeyong nearly spat his water. “What?” “You like Miss Y/N.” “Buddy, I like her as a friend.” “I’m giving it 3 months. If I win, you’ll get me two scoops of ice cream.” “EXCUSE ME VERY YOUNG MAN, WHEN DID YOU LEARN TO MAKE BETS LIKE THESE?” “Oh, Uncle Hyuck taught me.” Taeyong rubbed his temples. “Okay, fine deal. But if I win, I’m making your bedtime half an hour early.” Taeyong had a bad feeling about this.
·GUESS WHO WAS RIGHT LADIES AND GENTS?? OUR LIL BOY MIN JAE.
·Throughout the 3 months, Taeyong would always invite you for lunch or dinner. Normally for dinner since it’s after work and school. It was sort of a little routine you guys created without realizing.
·“Hey, you coming over?” “Duh, Min Jae said you were making Bibimbap.”
·You guys even started texting regularly. Your colleagues and the other doctors noticed the constant checking of phones.
·“Taeyong, are you seeing someone?” Johnny asked. He fumbled with his phone. “Uhm, NO. IM TALKING TO MIN JAE’S BABYSITTER.” He said. “Uhuh, you were talking to her about an hour ago too huh?” Yuta sat down with a muffin in hand. Johnny pinched a bit of Yuta’s muffin and ate the little piece. Yuta smacked Johnny’s hand when he was going for seconds.
·“I’m very protective over my little bundle of joy, okay.” The guys rolled his eyes. “When is he arriving?” “In a few minutes, you guys want to follow?” they nodded and went down.
·They waited when he saw you walking in with Min Jae. Min Jae bolted to his dad and uncles.
·“I’m going to ask Y/N something. Stay here with your uncles.” He strode over to you and you asked the usual ‘how was your day?’ question.
·“Psst, do you want to know a secret?” Min Jae whispered. The two men had to squat really low to be at the same level as Min Jae. ( i crai, two tall ass men squatting to be the same height as a 5-year-old.)
·“I think Papa likes Y/N and Y/N likes Papa.” The two of them were giggling and shoving each other.
·“BUT DON’T TELL HIM I TOLD YOU OKAY?” the two of them did the ‘zip my mouth’ gesture.
·“Are you coming over tonight?” he asked you. “As much as I’d love to, my mom is coming here to get a check-up and well, I might be going home.” “Oh well, can’t control some things, right?” he winked as he was referring to your conversation at the aquarium. You giggled and waved “Bye, you goof!” he waved at you “See you soon, dork!”
·Taeyong smiled really widely. He had begun to develop feelings for you for a while now, he just didn’t tell Min Jae because he didn’t need his already hyper son to get more hyper.
·As soon as Taeyong reached his friends and son, he knew they were hiding something.
·“What are you guys planning, hm?” “Nothing, Papa.” He looked at Johnny and Yuta and they smirked and nodded.
·When they entered his office, the rest of the guys were in there. “YOU SEE WHAT I MEAN WHEN I SAID YOU GUYS ONLY COME HERE WHEN MIN JAE IS HERE?”
·“Dude, it’s not that. We have something to tell you.” Doyoung sai seriously. Taeyong sat at his chair and looked at all of them
·“What is it?” “Ji Won is here. She wants to see you at the café.” Taeyong stared at them then to Min Jae who was beside him.
·“Can someone stay with him here? If you do go out and bump into her, go the other way.” Johnny volunteered because Min Jae was the closest to him and he was free at the moment. After the babysitter incident, Taeyong wasn’t really comfortable with Min Jae seeing his mom just yet.
·“Min Jae, buddy, Uncle Johnny is going to stay here with you, okay? Papa has someone to see.” He kissed the forehead of his son and walked out. He expected to be nervous but for some reason, he wasn’t. he was completely calm.
·you were sitting at a table, waiting for your mom to finish her appointment. You were thinking at how much Taeyong and Min Jae had changed your dull life. Especially Taeyong. He had brought cared so much for you and he treats you greatly. You couldn’t help but fall in love with this man.
·you suddenly saw Taeyong walk pass you. You were going to say hi but you saw him go up to a beautiful woman.
·You didn’t want to look but they were close enough for you to know what’s happening.
·“Taeyong.” The woman said with a charming smile. “Hello.” Taeyong said coolly. “How are you?”
·“I’m fine.” Taeyong was really not in the mood. “Where is he?” She asked. “Min Jae is with his uncles.” That’s when it hits you, that’s his ex.
·“Can I see him?” “I’m not really comfortable with you seeing him at the moment.” “What the hell?! I’m his mother! I have every right to do so!” she raised her voice, everyone at the café was watching now. You’ve never seen Taeyong so serious. You knew he was angry, livid almost. His intention was to have a civilized conversation but once she pulled that card, he was furious.
·“You’re his mother?” he laughed hysterically before looking at her, nose slightly flaring. “What type of mother leaves her child at 2? What mother tells her partner the only reason she had her child was merely for publicity purposes? You were never there for him, for God’s sake! The only time you were was to brag at how much of a ‘good mother’ you were. He saw someone who reminded him of you and he cried. He cried because the only clear memory he has of you was your appearance and how you left him. So, don’t come strutting here and tell me you have the right to see him because you’re his mother. You don’t deserve to be called Min Jae’s mother. You have never once called to ask about him or to wish him on his birthday. Heck, I don’t even think you remember his birthday.”
·“It’s July 20th.” “It’s November 1st. Look, I don’t care if you want to see him but it’s on his own accord. I’ll only allow you to see him if he wants to see you and at this moment, I don’t think he’s ready.”
·“It’s that babysitter isn’t it?” Your head shot up. ‘UHM LADY PLEASE DON’T DRAG ME INTO THIS.’ You thought.
·“What are you talking about? Don’t bring her into this.” you were mentally thanking him. “I saw your posts. You seem to be really comfy with that babysitter. What is she? A rebound?”
·You were waiting for those words. “She’s just a friend. She’s not important.”
·But instead, you were shocked to hear “You wanna know who she is to me? A woman who actually cares for MIn Jae and me. I love her and she’s someone that makes me ten times happier then you could ever have. She’s an amazing woman and I could see my future with her. She’s the real mother Min Jae deserves.”
·You nearly dropped your coffee when you heard him say that. “HE FELT THE SAME WAY? HOLY SHJHEDUQEBQEBY” you thought.
·“I suggest you leave or I’ll call security. The next time I’ll call you is when Min Jae wants to see you, which might not be anytime soon.” He waited and soon, she left.
·he turned around and saw you looking at him wide-eyed.
·He was stuck between “HOLY CRAP DID SHE HEAR EVERYTHING?” and “I HOPE SHE HEARD HOW MUCH I WANT TO BE WITH HER.”
·You stood up and opened your arms really wide. He ran towards you and hugged you tightly.
·“Was that…” “Yeah, that was her.” “Well, you took it well.” “Y/N…” “I mean if it was me, I’d be crying.” “Y/N.” “But you were really professional y’know. Very proud of-” “Y/N!” he said.
·“I know you heard what I said.” “Did I?” you said nervously. He gave you a look. “Okay, yeah I did. Is it true?”
·“Did you really think I’d lie about how amazing you are? WHY IS IT THAT BOTH YOU AND MIN JAE HAVE NO FAITH IN ME?” you laugh at his little pouty face.
·“Yes, it’s very true. I want to be with you. I want to hear Min Jae call you Mumma or whatever you want him to call you. I want to spend my life with both of you. I-” before he could continue, you kissed him. He was shocked at first,
·It’s been a while, folks
·He wrapped his hands around your waist and kissed you back.
·Suddenly, you heard a loud scream. Both of you turned around, seeing Johnny covering Min Jae’s eyes while Taeil and Jaehyun covered Mark and Haechan’s eyes.
·“GET A ROOM YOU TWO! THERE'S CHILDREN IN THE AREA.” Taeil said. Mark and Donghyuck tried to swat their hands away but the two kept a firm grip on their faces.
·“WE’RE ADULTS, YOU OLD MAN!” Hyuck said to Taeil. Taeil merely rolled his eyes
·You watched in amusement but Taeyong was a blushing mess. “JOHNNY, YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO STAY IN THE OFFICE.” “I’m sorry but HAVE YOU SEEN MIN JAE’S POUTY FACE WENT HE WANTS ICE CREAM? I COULDN’T RESIST MY FAVOURITE AND ONLY NEPHEW.” You laughed really loudly before all the guys came to you and started introducing themselves to you.
·Johnny passed Min Jae to Taeyong and Min Jae smiles at him. “Papa, you know what this means right?” “What?” “You owe me 2 scoops of ice cream.” Taeyong facepalmed but smiled because he was too happy.
· that was also the first time your mom met Taeyong. “Ahh, so this is the man you won’t stop talking about? I like him.” “MOM SKSKKKSKSSKSKSS.”
·Years had passed by and you were married to Lee Taeyong.
·you were also the proud Mumma of Min Jae.
·He proposed to you after 2 years of dating. THE PROPOSAL WAS SO CUTE HFIYRHBFIERYV
·Min Jae also started calling you Mumma after the first year of dating. Taeyong told him prior that he wanted to marry you. Min Jae’s reaction was “Wait, so Mumma is going to be my ACTUAL Mumma?” Taeyong couldn’t help but smile, “Yes buddy. She is.”
· he was really scared of loving after his ex left but after you walked in, he wasn’t anymore.
·He brought you to the same aquarium. He brought you to the penguin area, where you could pet the penguins. You were super excited. Suddenly you turned around saw Taeyong bent on one knee.
·“Taeyong…” “Y/N, I’ve been wanting to ask you something for a while now.” “Dr. Lee Taeyong, please don’t joke about stuff like this.” He laughed “I’m really serious, my dear.”
·SUDDENLY TWO PENGUINS, ONE WITH A BOW TIE AND THE OTHER WITH A VEIL WADDLED UP TO HIM WITH THE HELP OF THE KEEPERS. ONE HANDED HIM A RED VELVET BOX.
·He opened the box and revealed a beautiful diamond ring with tiny sapphires.
·“Will you marry me and be Min Jae’s official Mumma?” YOU SQUEALED AND JUMPED ONTO HIM. HE HUGGED YOU TIGHTLY AND HE SPUN YOU AROUND.
·“A THOUSAND TIMES YES!”
·The wedding was a beautiful outdoor ceremony. You had the dream garden wedding.
·Taeyong was exceptionally nervous.
·Quick reminder, Taeyong was never married! Just in case, you guys forget.
·the moment you walked down the aisle, he was already tearing up. Min Jae was standing next to his dad proudly. He whispered to himself “That’s my Mumma.”
·The wedding was amazing and you were about to leave for your honeymoon. Both of you offered Min Jae to follow but he pulled the ‘big boy’ card and the guys argued on who was going to take care of him. They all wanted to. Jaehyun won and he took care of Min Jae with his girlfriend.
·The honeymoon was amazing, he took you to the Maldives and you spent an amazing week together.
·After you came back, Min Jae was so happy to finally have a proper mother.
·You were a proud mom okay. Yelling out ‘THAT’S MY SON! GO BOO BOO!” when he scored a goal or when he was performing during a concert. Don’t worry, Taeyong didn’t stop you, he was equally as loud as you were. Heck, all of Min Jae’s uncles and aunties were his biggest supporters.
·It was a quiet afternoon and you were waiting for Taeyong to come home.
·You felt something change about you and you checked it out. The results made you shed tears of joy.
· You heard the door open and jumped up. You saw Taeyong help carry Min Jae’s baseball bat.
· “And I scored again, Papa!” “I’m really proud of you, bud!” “MUMMA!” Min Jae ran to you. You kissed his entire face. He was giggling, then he told both you and Taeyong he was going to shower.
·“Hello, love.” He walked to you and wrapped his hands around your waist.
·He kissed your forehead. You stayed like that for a few minutes before you looked up.
·“Are you tired?” “Not really.” “Honey, I have something to tell you.” “Hm?” “You can tell Johnny and the guys that Min Jae won’t be the only nephew anymore.”
·His eyes widen as he looked at you. “Love, are you…” he looked down at your belly and you nod.
·“I’m pregnant.”
Hello~ did you guys like it? I don’t actually know how the medical world works, I only know the basics. I deeply apologize if there are mistakes. I also apologise if I've offended anyone in any way.

amped and wired, part two | chapter fourteen: nocturnal
“C'mon, Maya, stay with us,” I begged her. I had my hand resting on the back of her head to keep her awake, and yet her eyes rolled up and her eyelids shuttered closed. I shifted my weight in the chair. I wasn't used to holding someone in this position, much less a fully grown young lady.
“Maybe she's thirsty?” Lars suggested.
“Who knows,” I confessed as I never took my eyes off of her face. “She could be dyin' of thirst—y'know. Who knows how long she's been in that junkyard.” I cleared my throat.
“Do you know how long you've been in there?” I asked her in a soft voice.
“I doubt she's going to know the answer to such a dubious question, Joey,” Lars pointed out.
“Yeah, but it's worth a shot, though,” I said. I adjusted my hand underneath her head. My fingers caressed the roots of her hair, which felt dry as a bone. She was definitely thirsty; and add to it, the skin on her lips looked cracked and dry as if they hadn't seen a drop of water in eons. Dubious question? I think not.
Even in the dim light, I noticed that the skin on her face had washed out after being without basic necessities for so long, and her chest heaved from who the hell knew what. I could only think about Candace and also Angeline, given the latter was as important to all of this as the rest of us. I wondered if Maya even knew about Candace and what had happened to her with the shitload of paper shoved down her own gullet.
“She needs to lay down,” I heard Mrs. Hamilton say from behind Lars and me. I turned my head to look at her bathed in the amber candle light.
“But she is laying down,” I pointed out as she entered the room; she stood there in the doorway with her hands pressed to her hips as if she was Wonder Woman.
“No, I mean actual laying down,” she replied with a little roll of her eyes.
“Also her hair is dry as a bone,” I added, to which I directed my attention to Lars, “so yeah—she's thirsty.” My upper left arm twitched from holding her. I could feel my hand falling asleep. But I wasn't willing to let her go as of yet, even as a little twitch emerged on the tip of my nose. I could let her go for a second and a half and rub the tip of my nose with one finger. It was possible. I could do it.
“She's probably famished, too,” Mrs. Hamilton added.
“She smells like old liquor, too,” I said as I couldn't take it anymore and I reached up to scratch my nose.
“Which means she needs a bath—Joey!”
“What—? Shit.” Maya almost fell out of my arms and onto the floor. I caught her by the shoulder but at that point, my left arm was shaking so much that it was difficult to even so much as hold onto her.
“Take her upstairs,” Lars ordered Mrs. Hamilton.
“Yeah, I can't—I can't—” She hurried over to me and, with the help of Lars, she picked Maya out of my arms. Louise emerged in the doorway behind them to help out.
“Is she hungry? She has to be hungry.” The three of them stepped away from me and the chess table. I watched them carry Maya out of there and into the dark hallway there.
“Watch her head!” said Louise, and Mrs. Hamilton was quick to catch Maya's head before it smacked against the corner of the doorway. The three of them then vanished into the darkness, which in turn left me alone there in the dark myself. I stood my feet and peeled off my coat.
I shook my arms about. For a small girl, she sure got heavy after a while. “Fuck.”
Lars returned to the room with a look of concern on his face.
“Joey, she's going to be in the room upstairs,” he announced to me.
“I ain't sleeping on a table,” I heard Scott say right behind him; I couldn't help but think about that container of human chunky pastrami underneath the bed there. My stomach turned when I thought about what went down in there.
“Well, at least she's going to be layin' on sump'n,” I pointed out to him.
“There's a pack of meat underneath the bed,” Louise called out.
“Oh, wait, that's mine!” Lars replied; he doubled back to retrieve it for himself. I felt my face flush from the thought of what was in that container, and to think it could very easily be eaten by the others in there. Charlie already had a piece and I could only think about all of them having pieces. It made my stomach turn, and so much that I had to step away from the table and towards the bar. I thought about pouring myself a glass of water but then again the lights were out and I had no idea where the glasses were in there.
I ran my fingers through my black curls and let out a low whistle.
He had to hide that container under the bed, the bastard! But then again, he killed her to save her and he did it to protect her. He did it to protect her. But bloody hell, did it make me uneasy.
“Joey,” Lars' Danish accent caught my ear, and I turned to look at him. I raised my eyebrows at his concerned expression bathed in candle light.
“It's gone,” he flatly said as he approached me.
“What!” I gaped at him.
“The container of sliced wife meat—it's gone.”
I glanced around the room to make sure we were alone. “Are you sure?”
“Positive. It's another container—it has actual roast beef in there. It smells good and I had a piece, though, but still.”
“Who the hell took the first one then?” I was mortified.
He shrugged, and then Mrs. Hamilton called his name from upstairs. He winced for a second and then he ducked away. I could only wonder where it could have gone. I had no clue as to who would take it, either. But then I remembered the clones were all made from human flesh. I had a feeling I didn't want to know, and then I felt a light caress on my shoulder. I turned around to find Cindy standing behind me dressed in a white leather jacket and fitted black bell bottoms; I looked down to see black leather boots with one inch heels on her feet; for a split second, I swore she grew about an inch given she looked at me right in the face.
“Hey, Joey,” she greeted me.
“Cindy! I thought you didn't have to come in tonight.”
“Mom called me to come in for a moment. You know, with the lights and whatnot.”
“Right, right, right...” My voice trailed off. I really had no idea what to say to her right then, but I just thought back to our encounter in the loft following the chess game. I nibbled on my bottom lip at the thought of her lips around my dick. I could feel my face growing warm again.
“Besides, I saw you holding that girl in your arms like you were a hero or something,” she pointed out. “I was standing here for about a full five minutes and watched your every move.”
“Oh, her?” I smirked at her and gestured to the doorway. “Oh—it was nuthin'.” Five minutes, meaning she stood there and eavesdropped on that little exchange between me and Lars right there. I hoped she didn't hear the words “sliced wife meat”, and if she did, I hoped she misheard it for something else. Frankie's voice floated down the stairway right then, and I could only wish for one of them to call me up there because my one head wanted to be close to Cindy again, but on the other head, I feared the worst.
“You sure?” she asked me and she had this come hither look in her eyes, which was only accentuated by the amber glow of the candles around us. “You looked really—really—really sexy holding her. Kind of like how you looked really sexy on the hockey rink.” She moved in closer to me, so close that I could pick up the smell of the leather and her perfume on the side of her neck. I thought of her touching my ass like she did back in Syracuse, but I immediately shelved that thought.
I wasn't really in the mood for love making, especially since there was a pack of human chunky pastrami under a bed upstairs. But I took a look down at her chest and the sight of the black blouse underneath her jacket, complete with a low neckline to show off those lovely breasts of hers.
“Oh, well, I try my best,” I assured her with a shrug of my shoulders. I swore I heard Lars calling me, or maybe it was just me trying to search for a way out. I peered over my shoulder to pure darkness, but then she pressed her chest right up against mine. It helped matters that those boots brought her closer to my height. She ran the tips of her fingers down my chest and onto my stomach.
“God, you're so hot,” she whispered to me. I felt her hands caress me down, all the way to the band of my jeans. They made their way around my waist. “You know—I've had my share of clientele in the past, but there's something about you, though. Something—precious.”
“Precious?”
“Special. Darling. Memorable. Adorable. Adorable—”
I didn't even feel her hand lift off my lower back; next thing I knew, the zipper on my jeans came undone.
“—adorable and very sensual. There's just something—”
She slipped her fingers down my pants.
“—something about you Italian boys—nice and big and—” In the dim light, I made out sight of her eyes examining my hair. “—hairy. Very sexy—I am absolutely obsessed with it.”
I felt her fingers touch me. Touch me and feel me.
“Remember, I'm also Indian,” I reminded her with a raise of my finger.
“Explains everything, baby boy,” she continued with a grip of my shaft, which in turn made my toes curl. A grin crept across that face of hers.
“You feel that?” she teased me.
“Feel you? Or something else?”
She pressed her lips to the side of my neck. She had me then, especially once she groaned right into my ear.
“That's it,” she breathed right into my ear. “Come to Mama—” I could feel myself firming up and filling out: it helped that she had her hand right there, right on me, holding onto me tight like I was going to get away from her. I felt her chest rub against my own.
“Come to me—come to me, you bad boy—”
“How much do I owe you?” was all I could grunt out.
“Nuthin,” she replied.
“Wha—really?” I glimpsed down at her.
“Yes. Just for you, my stallion—you don't have to pay me a dime. That's how precious you are.”
I let out the softest noise from the back of my throat. I wasn't coming or getting off or anything but if she got down on her knees, I probably would. But fucking hell, it felt so good. And it felt good even as Mrs. Hamilton strode into the room right then right behind us.
“Are we dancing in the dark here?” she teased us.
“Kinda—” I cleared my throat, and Cindy took her hand out from my pants. In the dim light, I watched her pulsate her fingers: I could still her below the belt and upon my chest. I was still pretty full between the legs, and I knew I would be for some time even as Mrs. Hamilton strolled up next to me and rested her arm on my shoulder.
“So you and Lars bunkin' in the loft upstairs tonight?” Cindy asked me.
“We'd have to make the bed, though,” Mrs. Hamilton pointed out. “And—you know—it's stone dark up there right now.”
“Nothing to it,” she insisted, “although I can see it being a little bit of a pain. I'm gonna see if Louise wants to help...” She strode out of the room and into the dark hallway to my left.
“I'm not really tired, though,” I confessed to Mrs. Hamilton. “And I kinda wanted to mosey on home, too. You know—before it snows.”
“That bed is so toasty, though,” she said with a smirk on her face.
“But I really wanna sleep in my own bed tonight, though,” I insisted.
“You sure?”
“Positive. I'm as firm as a rock, too.”
“Oh, she did a little handiwork?”
“Yeah. It felt good, but I worry about staying this big, though, even as Lars and I turn in for the night.”
“Okay, I'll take you boys home,” she told me with a wink. “We'll use Cindy's car seeing as my car has seen some better days...” Lars emerged from the hallway right then with a flustered look on his face.
“Hvordan går det?” he asked us.
“Huh?” I raised an eyebrow at him.
“How goes it? Sorry. A bit of Danish slips out still. Maya is laying on the one bed in the room upstairs, and Scott, Frank, Dan, and Charlie are all figuring sleeping positions for themselves.”
“I'm takin' you boys home before the snow comes in,” Mrs. Hamilton informed him.
“Oh, good—I had my worries as to what was going on here—here in the dark.” I thought about that container under the bed, but I dared not ask Lars about it until after we returned to my place. Cindy emerged from the darkness right then with a flash light in one hand.
“Cindy,” Mrs. Hamilton started, “I'm gonna take Joey and Lars home—you check on the lights and make sure everything is in its right place. You got your keys?”
“Okay! Yeah, I do, right here—” She ambled over to Mrs. Hamilton with the car keys, which she took out from her jacket pocket. “Good night, Joey.” She winked at me and blew me a kiss, and I felt my stomach make a flippity flop. I showed her a shy smirk before I fetched my coat and left the room.
Even as we stepped outside into the rain, it took me a few moments to realize my jeans were still undone: I couldn't hardly understand as to why the skin under my belly button felt so cold. I zipped up before we reached Cindy's cute little black car parked behind Black Orchid. I ran my fingers along my waist just to feel myself for a second before I climbed into the cozy warmth next to Mrs. Hamilton and the fuzzy hot pink dice dangling off of the rear view mirror. The whole interior smelled of spice and nail polish: that passenger seat felt like a hug from behind. I couldn't explain it, but I pictured myself sitting there next to Cindy as she and I went on a road trip somewhere. It was a fleeting thought, but I thought it anyway.
I had a crush on a stripper, albeit one docked in lace and leather.
“You warm enough back there, Lars?” Mrs. Hamilton took a glimpse into the mirror at him there in the back seat.
“Oh, yes—plenty warm back here.”
I thought about who could have made their way under the bed in there. Under the bed and swapped out the chunky human slices for actual roast beef. The good news was that we need not worry about that container anymore. At least that was my hope.
I didn't want to leave the warmth of that car as Mrs. Hamilton drove us back to my place, and it was a good thing we got there when we did because I made out the sight of snowflakes against the windshield.
“Be careful going back,” Lars told her before he climbed out of the back seat.
“I will, don't worry,” she assured him, “—I've driven in worse conditions in that piece of crap up the block from the club.”
I leaned into Mrs. Hamilton's face as if I was about to kiss her, but I stopped myself. She gazed at me with her eyes wide and then she grinned at me.
“Good night, sweet boy,” she told me, and gave me a little peck on the cheek. I felt my face grow warm at the feel of her lips. I then followed Lars out of the car; I waved at her once I closed the door behind me. I led him to my front door; I took out my keys from my coat pocket and unlocked it, and revealed the darkness blanketing the front room.
“Isn't it nice to be back home?” he said to me.
“Absolutely,” I replied; I made my way across the room to turn on the lamp. He shut the door behind him; once the golden light crossed the room, I noticed he had his hand to his chest.
“You okay?” I asked him.
“Yeah, I just—I just—” He pursed his lips shut. I thought about that container under the bed. Sliced dead wife meat, or however the hell he put it.
“You're not gonna barf, are ya?” I grimaced at the thought of him puking right there. I took a step back towards the wall.
“No,” he assured me, but the reddish hue in his face told a different story. He let out a low whistle. “I did get a little queasy riding in the car there, however. That's what happens when it gets so warm—” He stopped himself, complete with a hand on his chest. I didn't move, even if it was rather cold in there. He didn't move, either; and then I heard his stomach rumble.
“Oh, god, man—go to the bathroom,” I muttered. He let out the biggest hairiest belch I ever heard him let out at that point: it lasted about ten seconds and it sounded as though it came from his lower intestine.
“Jesus,” I remarked as I bowed my head and grimaced at the length of it.
“Yeah. Oh—” He then gagged on something. He bowed his head and brought one hand to his stomach.
“You okay?” I practically had my back pressed to the wall at that point. He brought a hand to his mouth and bowed his head forward.
“Oh, man, not on the carpet,” I said with a shudder at the thought of him puking all over the place. But he didn't: instead, he choked on something. I held still for a second, and then he—took something out of his mouth.
“The fuck?” I whispered. He held up his hand to show me—
“Is that—Is that what I think it is?” I asked him in a low voice.
He unfurled the arms to show that they were still undigested even after having been in his stomach for who knows how long. The lenses shone in the lamp light, even with small bits of his stomach acid clinging to the front and back of them.
“Jesus,” he muttered.
“Those are her glasses... right?” I asked him.
“Yeah. I forgot I ate these.”
“Why—Why—” I could hardly speak.
“Because I knew if someone found her, they would ask me if I knew anything, and I didn't really have much of anything to dispose of these.”
“So—you swallowed those down, too...” I relaxed and leaned against the wall for a moment. I watched him examine the glasses for a moment.
“I hadn't eaten a piece of her in some time—she's starting to pass through.”
To which I nodded and stretched my arms over my head. “I'm officially ready for bed, I dunno 'bout you.”
I ducked into the hallway, and into my room to change out of my clothes. I hung my coat up in my closet given I didn't want to go out tomorrow for anything. I just wanted to stay in bed all day, and Lars could join me, too. I had my hope given what he had just said. It was passing through him and so I hoped that things would go quiet for a time as I crawled under the covers. I fell asleep before my head even so much as hit my pillow, and thus I never felt him crawl into bed next to me.
I saw Nerissa and Cindy laying on either side of me, the former with her thick lush body and the latter with her delicate touch. In between two girls who wanted to kiss me and love me, even if it meant Cindy would have to wrap her lips around another guy's dick for a time and a brick of money and if it meant that Nerissa had to vanish into thin air. They both caressed my chest and kissed my neck, and ran their fingers through my hair. Nerissa's body looked much fuller than normal, like she had put on a bunch of weight even from being on the other side.
“Ladies, please,” I said to them, “I'm only one man.”
“And a sexy one at that,” Cindy breathed into my ear right before she ran her tongue around the rim. “We're gonna kidnap you.”
“Huh?” I asked her.
“Joey—Joey!” Lars' voice sliced through the dream like a knife. I opened my eyes to see him standing over me. Gray morning light washed over the side of his face.
“Huh? What?” I blinked a few times to make out the alarmed look upon his face. “What is it?”
“Scott's been kidnapped,” he stated.
“Huh?!”
“Scott's been kidnapped! Mrs. Hamilton's outside right now. Come on, get dressed—we've gotta find him!”
“D'she at least call the cops?” I asked him as I pulled myself into an upright position.
“No, she's worried they won't be able to find him,” he quipped; he backed up to let me climb to my feet. “Come on, come on!”
“I'm coming! I'm coming!” I persisted. Yeah, I came for Mrs. Hamilton but not Cindy.

I don't normally write imagines — you guys know I'm best at headcanons — but a friend of mine asked me to write about her and give her a little confidence boost. So of course, I did it. Anytime you guys need a reminder that your flaws don't define you, come find me. This one’s for you, @greasy-babydoll
Today was the day the students at Will Rogers High School got back their pictures. Picture day was always on the first day of school, which Mo hated. "My seventh grade photo makes me look like a sixth grader. My eighth grade photo makes me look like a seventh grader." She hated picture day and everything about it: dressing up, fake smiles, making your hair look nice and the worst part: when your photos come back and you look absolutely terrible, you can't do a thing about it.
Mo hated her eyes. After an incident when she wasn't even half a year old, her eyes and brain never functioned the same again. She was always at risk for seizures, her memory and balance were poor and when stressed, upset or fatigued, she could have a lazy eye. It was her biggest insecurity. Not knowing how her eyes looked in her photo was killing her, yet she didn't wanna see it. What if she had a lazy eye? Or she zoned out? But if she did, there would be nothing she could do about it.
At her locker, Mo was getting binders and textbooks she needed that night for homework. Her friend Ponyboy approached her. "Hey Mo! Did you get back your school pictures?"
"Look around, Curtis. Everyone did." Mo replied without even looking at him. She just wanted to go home.
"Can I see yours? Mine's bad, look." He showed her his school picture; he looked absolutely fine.
"You look like you always do." She said, zipping up her backpack before throwing it over her shoulder. It was heavy but at least she'd be on the bus momentarily. As long as this idiot lets me..
"I dunno. I hope I look better than this." Ponyboy said, looking at his picture and following her out of the building. "My eyes are grayer than this, aren't they?"
Mo looked at him, just to humor the kid. "Your eyes are green, smart one." She picked up herself pace, wanting to be left alone. At least on the bus, she could bury her nose in a book, a universal do-not-disturb sign that most everyone respected. Except Ponyboy.
"Really? I thought they were gray." He pulled on her arm, stopping her. Can this kid take a hint? She thought to herself, annoyed. "You didn't show me your picture."
She thrust it at him. "Here!" She exclaimed angrily. Maybe if she gave him what he wanted, he'd leave her the hell alone. She advanced, leaving the set of photos with the green-eyed imbecile. She looked for her bus, scanning the school parking lot with a hand above her eyes to block out the shining sun. She didn't find her bus until it was pulling out of the school driveway. "Nice." She muttered under her breath, sarcastically.
She began walking home, heading west. The sun wasn't completely in her eyes, but it was annoying. Not as annoying as the kid walking behind her. "Y'know you look really good in this." Bitch, stop lying, she thought at the same time as, You're still here? "Your hair looks nice.  Did Sarah do it for you?" She had. Mo had forgot the first day of school was also Picture Day but her best friend came to the rescue. She happened to have a hair brush in her backpack and braided it like "all the French girls wear it," according to Sarah's older sister.
"Yeah." Mo smiled, thinking of her best friend. Sarah was sick today, or else the two would be on the bus, complimenting each other's pictures. "Where are you headed?"
"Home." Ponyboy said, putting his pictures into his backpack while still walking. Mo was impressed he could even do it; Ponyboy was a very clumsy child.
Realizing her parents wouldn't be home until later and her brother was at football practice, Mo just followed Ponyboy to his house. She had nothing better to do. Plus, maybe she'd see Two-Bit and Dallas; neither were at school today and Johnny picked up their school pictures. "Where is Johnny, anyway?"
"With Steve. Had to swing by the DX. Soda forgot his lunch. Again."
"It's three o'clock…"
"I know." Pony nodded. "He's starving." The two reached the Curtis house. Without knocking, the two entered the house and threw down their backpacks. "You hungry?"
"Always." Mo slumped into the couch and turned on the tv. Gillian's Island was playing, though Mo didn't find it very funny, but she knew Ponyboy did so she kept it on. Plus she was too tired to change the channel. Ponyboy made the two some roast beef sandwiches with provolone cheese, one of his favorites. Before the episode was over, the majority of the gang walked into the house, interrupting the two's thoughts.
"Soda, aren't you supposed to be at work?" Ponyboy asked when he saw his brother.
"I have an hour for lunch, so I'm spending it here. Plus, I heard you guys got your pictures back and I wanna see them!" Soda always complimented the boys' pictures, especially since Ponyboy got self conscious about his. This year would be the first time Johnny had a scar on his face in the photo, Soda realized, and wanted to be extra sensitive. "So lemme see 'em." Soda grabbed Ponyboy's photos and studied them. "Your hair looks awfully tuff, Pone. Total fake smile, though. That," he pointed to his younger brother, "Is a real smile. Next year, actually smile like you mean it. Steve, lemme see yours." The middle child examined all of his friends' school pictures, finding good parts to each, even if they hated the photo. "Mo, can I see yours?"
No, she thought but she was too late. Ponyboy handed over her packet of photos to his brother. Her heart rate increased and she felt like she couldn't breathe. Oh God, I hope I don't look like a fucking idiot. Two-Bit and Dallas were looking over Soda's shoulder. They didn't look disgusted, which was supposed to be a good sign but it didn't make her feel any better.
"You look beautiful, hon." Soda smiled at her. "Sarah did your hair, didn't she?"
"How.." She couldn't ask it but she was dying to know the answer. She stuttered over the question, feeling like a moron since it was only four words. "H..How are my eyes?"
"Chocolately."
"They're not..?"
"Fucked up? No." Dallas finished for her.
"Dude," Soda smacked Dallas, implying he should be more sensitive.
"What?" He snapped at Sodapop. "Listen, even if your eyes get funky, you still look good. Plus. We're all fucked up in our own ways. I mean, shit man. Do you know what it takes to get a scar like this?" He lifted up his shirt to reveal a white line going down his side.
Mo rolled her eyes. Her condition wasn't an accident and she didn't cause it. Dallas could've kept his mouth shut; she didn't do anything to deserve that trauma at five months old.
"What he means, Mo," Soda interrupted the New Yorker, glaring at him. "You're still beautiful. Pony still looks good even with that scar under his chin. Johnny is handsome even with the scar on his face. It's not pretty, but he lived through it. Steve's nose will never look the same, but that's okay."
"Hey!" Steve cut in.
Ignoring him, Soda continued, "You've lived through every seizure you've had. You can still see, even if you lose focus or have a lazy eye every once in a while. Just because you've got a couple flaws, that doesn't mean you're not beautiful. You don't throw away the whole pie if a little bit of the crust is brunt. You eat it anyway and enjoy it for what it is."
"Did you just compare her to a pie?" Two-Bit gave Soda a weird look, judging his choice of an analogy.
"Cake's better." Steve called from the other side of the room.
"What I'm saying," Soda sounded annoyed with his friends. "You've gotten through everything life has handed you. This photo looks great. But even if your eyes were a little out of focus, it's still you and because it's you, it's automatically great. Now let me eat my lunch, I'm hungry."
Mo smiled and finally let herself see the picture. When she took it from Soda and looked down, she stared. She couldn't believe her eyes. It was the best photo taken of herself in years. She looked absolutely beautiful. "Shit, man. I'm cute."
