Minecraft launched, alerts on, your phone beside you.
You would be okay! Thinking back at your friends’ words... You would continue to do your best! Even if no one comes, all you had to do was gain confidence and keep going until someone does!
After a moment of hesitation, you pressed the button, tabbing over to the game.
"Welcome to the stream, everyone!" You said. "I'm Catatouille, and I hope my stream will make you all happy today!"
Glancing over to your phone, you saw the symbol for one viewer, fueling on your hope. Someone was watching! Then... You had to do your best to make them smile–
Oh.
Right, it was from your phone.
'That's okay,' you thought to yourself as you started to collect wood. 'I'm a new streamer... So I'll just have fun!'
There was no mistaking how excited you were to start this journey of yours. But grandpa Xiao would definitely tell you that growth would be slow... So patience would be key!
Yes, patience...
Haha...
You turned your attention to the game in front of you. You would have fun! It was all in good fun, right?
But then!
The world slowed down. First, you felt the dread as you hear the sound of footsteps. Then the horror as you see it emerge from the shadows, running from the unlit part of the cave. You would begin to think. Regret. Contemplate why you didn’t craft a shield before this expedition. You frantically tried to defend yourself, hitting just shy outside of the hitbox. And then you hear the sound of getting hit, your character falling, being thrown into lava behind you. Then, to the sound of your character burning, the story of how you got all your stuff flashing before your eyes. When you discovered the amethyst cave, how you found the vein of five diamonds, the music disc you found from a dungeon, you see your hearts go down, and so does the time, your hope for the future playthrough of this game. And when you’re on the death screen, it finally sinks in. Your stuff is gone, your levels are reset. You are alone—
Catatouille tried to swim in lava to escape Baby Zombie.
Out of the corner of your eye, you see something move in the chat box.
You couldn't respond for a moment at the whiplash of feelings. Yes, you wanted to cry, curse the world for bringing you a baby zombie of all things, and the annoying words from chat didn't help at all... but also...!
A chatter! A real one! And not the random bots you saw in the viewers tab!
"Welcome to the stream, Scaramouche!" You said, forgetting your previous annoyances for just a moment. "Hope your day is going well!"
“Yep!” You said, giddy with the thought of having your first fan. “Will do!”
"I'm not rage quitting!" You insist, exiting your survival world and quitting to the main menu. "Not because of something so trivial! I'm going to keep on persevering until I beat the Ender Dragon, mind you!"
You took a deep breath, collecting yourself. At least this stream has been going well! A chatter that stuck with you... Luck was in your favor! Except the fact that your friends never showed up... But they'd probably embarass you in some way... Hm.
"Anyway... Thanks for showing up, Scaramouche... And any other lurkers watching," you said with a smile, even though you didn't have a webcam on. "I’m going to keep on trying to be a steamer you can be proud of, don't worry! And my next stream is tomorrow, so try to watch it if you can!"

They love sparring with each other so much. Phil loves giving his son tips and seeing him rapidly catch on & improve and Chayanne loves to see his dad in his element and thriving

Chayanne is the king of well-timed Orange Justices and they always crack Phil up
Phil has no idea but Chayanne is trying so hard to set things up so Missa has a perfect and uninterrupted opportunity to confess his feelings. Chayanne's happy regardless of if they stay platonic or go romantic but he at least wants his papa to get the chance to communicate with his dad
Sometimes Chayanne misses 1 on 1 time with Phil. It's nothing against Tallulah (she actually Also desires 1 on 1 dad time), he just aches for the nostalgia of the early days. Phil taking him places and teaching him how to survive, the pleasant quiet and less tension. It's easier on Phil when he isn't watching two kids
The only reason Phil eats 3 square meals a day consistently is bc Chayanne exists. Btw Chayanne also loves making him snacks
He thrives on asking Phil wildly out of pocket questions. Like "where do babies come from" but more creative, less overdone. "What happens when we die?" type shit, things that make Phil do a double take and have a mini crisis
Chayanne wants to play irl fruit ninja with Phil but Phil hasn't been convinced to try it yet. (It IS working slowly tho)
Phil's lame dad jokes don't always kill Chayanne like they do Tallulah so sometimes he resorts to low blows: Little German Boy memes
Sometimes Phil gets chased around the house with a spatula bc he's being a little shit or a self-deprecating idiot while Chayanne so happens to be cooking
They do something special together on Techno's birthday to honor him. There's no set activity/event they do, it's just whatever feels right and most genuine at the time. Chayanne always makes a big potato-based dish to offer on a little ofrenda though
They're both kinda playing the I Pretend I Do Not See It game with the whole,, Chayanne fighting Phil (EK) thing. "Ah yes you were fighting Ender King physically, not at all him in my body, I wasn't involved at all, you weren't hurting your dad's body and I wasn't trying to kill my son not at all haha yep, neither of us are at all fucked up about it what do you mean" 🥚🐤 🤝🏻 😁🐦⬛

would absolutely LOVE recs for cheaper rpgs with better endings 🙏
OF COURSE!!
These are all rpg games that have been out enough that discounts and cheaper prices are quite common. I think it might depends on the country and time, but they should be relatively easy to find (both on steam, or cdkeys or gog).
I put them in order of how satisfied I was with the ending! (no spoilers)
Okay, this is a maybe. Not sure if I would call this an rpg but Heaven's Vault allow you to make choices in your game so almost? the ending is SO GOOD. I was absolutely floored and satisfied. You know when a game peppers clues everywhere and then you realize THAT was it? Not only it is good, but not everything is explained, not in a bad sense, but in a "you can put together the history of the world". Dreamfall Chapters is another game that is not a classic rpg but I would absolutely recommend. Unavowed too!
Pathfinder Kingmaker. This game is so dear to me, and the endings, especially the companions endings and the romances endings are so detailed! Little changes in the game and you can get different ones! Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous too, but that is relatively new so it might be more expensive.
The whole Dragon Age series, from origins to Dragon Age II and Inquisition (if you consider the last DLC the ending) are just perfect!
Sorcery! not only I love this rpg to pieces, but it is pretty cheap (it is one story but divided in 4 games, so you can try the first part and see if you like it). The 4th game actually reminds me of BG3 act 3 but done well haha. You have to sneak in a certain place in a city, and it is beautiful. So many choices and the romance really works so well (I think it is kinda... part of the story, as in the game benefits from having the romance in it)
Enderal (which is actually a free game). NOW WAIT. If you played this game you are wondering why I would put it even here - the thing is... I think the endings are just perfect.
Divinity Original Sin 1, no companions or romances but I found the ending a nice and complete conclusion to the game.
Neverwinter Nights 2 if you play the Mask of the Betrayer as a perfect ending!
The original Baldur's Gate games do a good job with the ending if you play the Enhanced Edition! There are also some great mods (DORN ROMANCE MOD) that in my opinion fix some things!
Age of Decadence: no companions, and definitely different from an usual rpg, imagine it more as an exploratory rpg! The ending explained every strange little thing going on in the game.
Tides of Numenera. This game gets a lot of criticism, but I think the story (for how much chaos there is in the world of the game) has an interesting and surprising ending

I have been bitten by the Gemcyt bug caused by @chrisrin
I thus present to you Zedaph as Poudretteite as well as Worm Man as 'Pink Chalcedony' and a fusion of WM with @sweetest-honeybee 's Evil Xisuma design. (Mainly bc i had a better idea of a fusion btwn the two rather than with chrisrin's tango and impulse, but i might figure it out) Thanks for letting me use your design! It let me make Covelite!
And while there's some notes in the drawings, there shall be more below the cut!
Okay so I immediately jumped to Zed being a pink colored gem and stumbled upon a few options. I knew I wanted to pick 2, one to be Zed's gem and the other to be WM's supposed gem, and almost swapped their gem types before learning that there was a chalcedony on the show.
I think it is a fun thing to have Zed and WM insist they are totally not the same person (or gem in this case), and here we see that WM is shapeshifting the gem position around, and that could have worked... if it weren't blatantly obvious that he looks nothing like a chalcedony. I mean look at how close the different colored Pearls look, or Sapphire and Padparacha.
The base form I used for Zed is from a gem silhouette from 'The Answer', which was the only one to have those lil ball hands as the others had at least some semblance of regular hands. So I kept that detail and even made a joke about how Zed can still just pick stuff up, and that even carries over to the fusion
speaking of the fusion.
Other than a ZIT(S) fusion, the most obvious one is w/ Evil X. And I absolutely love Bee's design and brain went nyoom with it, expecially the fact that he's corrupted??? Hello???!??! We saw in the show w/ Jasper and one of the corrupted Jaspers fusing that it left remnants of the other's corruption on Jasper herself. I loved the idea that Zed could get lil sheep like horns post-first fusion with Evil X, so boom, it now exists.
(Also the lil spots carrying over makes it even more obvious Zed/WM are the same gem so haha lol)
As for the fusion itself, I saw that Evil X seemed to have dragon elements, and that fits perfectly w/ my personal headcanons of them being an ender dragon (hybrid), and then we have sheep hybrid zedaph, and what is a fluffy dragon? luck dragon!!!
The front legs are more dragon like, back legs more sheep like (claws and then hooves respectively) and then there is fluffy luck dragon tail! oh! and I had fun with making the mane of hair work as Evil X's fancy collar thing.
Their head is based a lot on Alexandrite's, with the two mouth thing going on. I thought it would go nicely with their concept and i think it works well.
And then other details! I used the distance models style to show off the past reformations of Zed and WM. Also slight drawing mistake, in the lil comic of WM showing off his new corruption marks, he should be in his 'Early s5' design (I'll prolly go back and fix it in the morning fixed 'n added Covelite's colors). I picture the first fusion btwn the two being an adaption of when EX trapped WM in prison, then reappeared being good now to help him escape, but they needed to fuse to do so.
(Oh i also used the distance models to do a lil size comparison)

Out of curiosity, what's some of your favorite movies and / or shows? Just curious of your inspirations haha.
Yall just trying to get me to fess some deets up and try to pinpoint where the story will go!
Okay my paranoia is under control again, but uh I honestly have a bit too many in terms of other media so ill stick to the games that made me say fuck it ill make one myself.
But by far the biggest contributors to making me want to write my own story was Enderal, Sword of Rhivenia, and A Mage Reborn, and I, The Forgotten One at the time!
Sword of Rhivenia just hit the right spots for me and I can see the potential it had. I really enjoyed it back when it was a WIP!!!
A Mage Reborn does angst and drama so well, it really made me care about the characters.
I, The Forgotten One was simply different from the other titles. It dealt with heavy subjects in a way other IFs didnt at the time.
As for Enderal...I've you never played Enderal, you have to fucking play it. Do not look up reviews, GO IN BLIND!!!!
Just take my fucking word for it and know that it has 100% my stamp of approval!! Enderal really helped me in crafting a more realistic world where characters felt more real with real flaws. That is all I will say!

25: "Bremen", PigPen Theater Co.
It was part of the plan, everbody would stand
On their hind legs, hands holding high the other
Like a tower of brothers, and the one on the top
Would crow warnings and call in the morning
And call out the storm that was coming
The one on the bottom would steer 'til the road was clear
And people would learn to rejoice and to fear our coming
It is, ironically, a mild, wet temperature over Dogwarts, the sort of weather that mostly feels dreary rather than being properly cold, or snowy, or icy, or any of the sorts of things that the kinds of people who claim to bring forth winter would be expected to have over their fortress.
"Oh, come on, you've gotta be cheating!" says Skizz, throwing his cards down on the table. They're stained a strange purple. "Dippledop, tell them that he's cheating."
"I mean, I don't know, Skizz," Impulse says. "You aren't good enough at cheating to have taught me how to spot it..."
"I mean, you're the one marking cards," Martyn says idly.
"You know I can't help it!" says Skizz. "It's my ender-what's-its. My purple scales. My, my general, uh, what's a good word for it -"
"Ourple," Etho says.
"What?" Impulse says.
"He's ourple," Etho says, and then doesn't elaborate at all.
"You know, if you're going to accuse me of cheating, why not accuse him?" Martyn says. "I mean, look at him. He's wearing a mask while we're playing poker. That's basically against the rules."
"I don't have a face, man," Etho says.
"Did you mean -" Big B starts. Impulse puts a hand on his leg. Big B stops.
"I'm just saying," Martyn says, as he takes the distraction as an excuse to palm one of the cards using and replace it with a king he's been keeping in a pocket. He knows the king won't be suspicious largely because he's been keeping track of the cards Skizz has had, and the king he's about to put in his hand is the same one that Skizz had three hands earlier.
Martyn is going to win, like, so many meaningless favors from people who are all definitely going to die before Martyn can call them in, but hey. He's definitely going to die before he has a chance to worry about it, either.
(At one point, it had been about winning. He's good at cheating.)
"You know what, yeah! That is cheating! Show us your face, huh, Etho?" says Skizz, pointing dramatically. Big B snorts into his cards.
"Uh, I mean, I don't know, man," Etho says, putting his hands up and nervously backing up. "It's like - you know I don't take this off..."
"Actually, yeah," Impulse says. "I sorta wanna see you try to keep a poker face. Take it off, Etho."
"Woah, woah boys. I know we're all friends here, but I don't know if I'm ready for a strip tease," Martyn says, which makes Etho turn bright red, and also makes Big B flustered enough that Martyn can see his hand. Okay, that's not a threat. Not that Big B's a threat to anyone, really, but he's still green for a reason.
Skizz isn't a threat for a completely different reason. His heart's right there on his sleeve. He has a shit hand this round. He gave that given that well away the moment he drew it.
That leaves Etho and Impulse to figure out.
"I - oh, geez, guys," Etho says. "I -"
"Take it off!" Skizz starts chanting. "Take it off! Take it off!"
"I'm - I like you guys, but I'm not taking off my mask!" Etho says. "Impulse, Impulse, we're buddies. You should understand!"
"Yeah, but like..." Impulse says, before shrugging. "I mean, if it really upsets you, I guess... Guys, maybe we should stop."
"Naw, don't try to talk him out of it!" Skizz says.
"Haha, you know, I want to see it too," Big B says. "It's a bonding thing, right?"
"Oh, well you can't argue with the bonding thing, now can you," Martyn says.
"Guys," Impulse starts saying, and then there's the sound of a creaking door, and everyone stops at once as the courtyard changes from dreary and wet to a certain chill. If Martyn didn't know any better, he'd say it's the chill of the grave, but there hadn't ever been any for him, so. Probably not.
Instead, it's just...
"My loyal Dogwarts," says Ren, quietly. "What is all of this commotion about?"
"We're playing cards, My Lord," Martyn says immediately. "See?"
He shows his hand to Ren. Ren chuckles.
"Well, laddie. Show me how you win at cards."
Well, the answer to that's 'by cheating'. But he can't really show Ren that, now can he? He's got to keep some things in his pocket. Besides, it's not like any of the favors in the pot matter.
They're all gonna die before they matter. Some of them already are.
Martyn loses the hand to Impulse. He collects the favors with a sheepish grin. Ren barks out a laugh. "You'll get them next time, laddie."
"I'm sure I will," Martyn says.
"Mom, Ren's playing favorites," Etho whines.
"That's - that's unbecoming a knight of -"
"Yeah, Ren's playing favorites," Big B says.
"I mean, dudes, uh, I mean - my loyal Dogwarts -"
Martyn laughs so hard that he forgets to pay attention, and loses the next hand too.

Idol Land PriPara 05
Trigger warning for my controversial takes on the gender of certain characters.
So, the episode opens with Laala and Amari going to see a Tricolore performance. Amari starts fangirling over Hibiki immediately and passes out at the thought of meeting them.
Then, when the meeting does happen, Amari immediately flubs her introduction despite practicing it in her head.
*ahem* Is there a lawyer here? WHAT LEGAL RECOURSE DO I HAVE FOR BEING DRAWN INTO AN ANIME WITHOUT MY PERMISS--
Hibiki reluctantly approves of Amari because, despite her many flaws, at least she doesn't have a sentence ender. Also Yui is still Amari's manager, yay!
So, Hibiki has arrived to search for anything they can find out about PriParis, since PriParis Meganii was left behind.
Much to Hibiki's chagrin, Parajuku Meganii arrives...
and eventually is able to inform them that, although PriPara is producing a lot of kirakira, DanPri is still filled with bugs. Hibiki goes to investigate. And despite being told to wear a sheep costume...
Okay so. Okay.
*slow exhale*
Honestly.
I dunno how to feel about this.
This episode really messed with my gender headcanons. Since season 2, I have always headcanoned Reona as a trans girl and Hibiki as nonbinary. My reasons for this included the various flashbacks to their past, song lyrics, perceived reference to Takarazuka theater, as well as the fact that they both perform in PriPara.
But if both of them are allowed into DanPri too... what does that MEAN? Are the BOTH nonbinary then?
Or perhaps I'm just overthinking this. Maybe the system checks for both biological sex AND your gender aura.
It's just that I really liked thinking that Reona got invited to PriPara because as a trans girl she is a real girl and the system is inclusive. But that would also kinda mean...
I dunno, it's just... something about me still just doesn't like the idea of Hibiki as a trans man. They still allow themself to be called "Maho-chan" and "mademoiselle", after all. I also just honestly... don't like the idea that the PriPara system would let someone who fully identifies as male to enter normally, you know? PriPara is supposed to be a safe space for girls.
But yeah, that's my own personal issue. If you want to headcanon Hibiki as a trans man go ahead, that's your right to do so. At the very least, I decided to switch to they/them pronouns for Hibiki going forward from this episode. I still refuse to stop referring to Reona as anything but "she" though, sorry not sorry. She's just in DanPri on a technicality. Or something. I dunno. I DUNNO!
Shogo is legit jealous that Reona is cuter than he is.
Shogo might be my favorite WITH member again. I wonder. I really wonder. Maybe he'd want to give PriPara a try? Eheh. He'd never because of Yui, but this little bit here made me wonder if he's thought about it. Since apparently you can enter either if you want it hard enough I guess IDK...........
Hibiki's first impression of DanPri isn't great.
I know that DanPri was retconned in and technically didn't exist when Hibiki made their idol debut. But it makes me wonder if the in universe reason Hibiki went to PriPara and not DanPri just because they thought it would be dirty haha.
Meanwhile Mario is still reeking havoc. Dark Nightmare invites him to join and he declines.
Hibiki and Mario finally meet. The two of them sense a darkness in each other and quickly challenge each other to a battle--oh wait this isn't Kinpri they are just going to perform... or are they?
*GASP*
Hibiki! Performing with Rei! Out in the open since it's Danpri. AWWW!
AWWWWWW!!!
After Hibiki performs, Mario begins his performance only to have Hibiki straight up HIJACK HIS MAKING DRAMA so they can GUN each other DOWN. Meganii tries to get in between them but--
YOU KNOW, FOR KIDS.
(J/K it's pretty clear Idol Land PriPara is not really for kids and I love it.)
Despite being shot in the heart, Hibiki is not defeated because their heart was not open in the first place.
"I only open my heart for Fuwari and Falulu."
(Excuse me what about REI--)
(Well, Fuwari and Falulu do say they will punish Hibiki later.)
Mario's performance doesn't produce kirakira, but Hibiki's does. Still, it is not enough to unlock the thing.
CUTE.
After the performance, Mario reflects on being challenged by an idol from the girls side. He puts on a goat scull and decides it's time to go and meet "her".
A pretty easy task when Amari lands on his head.
"It's me. ME!"
"WHO ARE YOU I DON'T KNOW YOU I DON'T KNOW YOU"
"...Are you serious?"

Before I drop the actual ask I just wanna say if you had happened to sell your soul to like the devil or something to be able to write the way that you do (I wouldn’t be surprised, your bird!xiao stuff has me bawling my eyes out) then I would totally give you mine out of gratitude for producing such lovely works. Thank you for those!!
Anyways you can ignore this if it makes no sense or you simply don’t want to bother but I have an idea that I’d like you to consider that might be of some interest; I spent my 3am reading through the Shining Nikki Saga tag and it got me thinking about a creator from other similar games/medias. One that has been plaguing my thoughts in particular is a creator- especially Impostor!au- who’s from Honkai Impact 3rd.
A creator who’s a Herrscher, or maybe a Houkai beast or Pseudo-Herrscher the way that Benares is, or even just a standard Valkyrie.
But Just. A creator who isn’t helpless after their unfortunate isekai. They pull up in Teyvat, get attacked by the forces of whichever nation they land in, and their first reaction is “oh haha okay- TAKE THIS SUBSPACE LANCE DUMBASS‼️”

secondly, that’s very interesting! warning that while i’ve dabbled in hi3, i never actually played it that much (not my style of gameplay). that being said the idea of being able to access those powers while you’re in an isekai has a lot of potential
(obligatory note that while the universes of hi3 and gi are connected, i will not be acknowledging this anywhere else in this post)
(note two: that would be interesting, though. fischl and fischl…)
in terms of hi3, my mind is going to the “kill them with kindness? WRONG, herrscher of the void 🌌🌌🌌🌌🌌” meme. this is all i have to offer.
lie. from my limited knowledge i remember a unit who’s abilities centered around painting- dude, the mech suits? good luck killing me when i am a literal transformer. swords don’t do shit against 4tons of steel.
in terms of other various medias, my mind goes to, as always, minecraft. isekai!creator with creative mode. ender pearls for quick getaways, invisibility potions, potions for speed and fire resistance (which will come in handy should they start to pull out witch trial pyres), flying if they’re in creative mode, fireworks and elytras..… honestly, depending how much of the base media you want to pull over into genshin, pretty much any other media would work. i’m also thinking of demon slayer (for the sole reason it has been discussed on this blog prior) and specifically giyu’s “dead calm” breathing, but any of the others will do. depends on the media and a bunch of semantics about lore, but i’m not going to get into that.

I hope it's okay to ask Lord Huron questions on this blog.
Is Buck the narrator for all three most recent "lore albums" or something? I don't know how Lonesome Dreams fits into the storyline, but I might be wrong, and I'm pretty sure the movie soundtrack doesn't. I'm pretty sure he's the narrator for at least Vide Noir, but I'm not sure how he fits in with Long Lost.
If Buck is Strange Trails' narrator, he's not the only one, because Hurricane is from Johnnie's, and The World Ender is from Cobb Avery's. The Yawning Grave seems to be told by some malevolent, omniscient, ancient entity I don't really have a name for, but seems an awful lot like whatever Ender was summoned in Secrets of Life. It's almost like a camera pan effect with the transition to Frozen Pines, almost as if the focus is being shifted to a different character. I'm not entirely sure who that character is, and I'm not all up to date on the lore yet.
There's such a heavy focus on darkness being bad in Strange Trails, and then as far as I know, Vide Noir(the album) is about a guy, Buck Vernon, abusing a substance literally named Black Void, and trying to find his fiancee. Frozen Pines feels like Buck coming back to himself after taking Vide Noir, it basically references the Emerald Star without actually referencing it. It's like Buck talking to Lee; he'll be waiting for her, he's gonna look for her everywhere, etc.
Relistening to Strange Trails specifically looking for Vide Noir references, after Meet Me in the Woods there is SUCH a tone shift, and it starts referencing how he can't go back from the darkness, or how everything she touches turns to back.
This whole exposition has morphed into me actually asking if Vide Noir and Strange Trails are the same story from different perspectives or in different settings. Apologies for the rambling.
It is very okay! It is more than okay, it's great and I would answer Lord Huron questions every day all day if more people did this. ;)
I'm impressed with how much of this you've worked through pretty damn close to accurately without having checked the wiki or watched the movie, haha. I definitely recommend doing both as most of your questions here, the ones we have answers to anyway, will get answered.
But in short, without rewriting the entire wiki for you:
Strange Trails, Vide Noir, and Long Lost are all in the same universe with shared characters that weave in and out of those albums and there are many narrators among them. Buck Vernon is probably the closest thing to a main protagonist since his narration features heavily in Strange Trails and Vide Noir, but he's absent from Long Lost (well, as far as anyone can tell anyway).
Strange Trails is sort of like a loose connection of stories that establish a lot of the strange things and the characters in that universe and start us off learning about Buck and Lee and their relationship, but we also get a lot from Frankie Lou, the World Enders, and a handful of others. Some of the songs narrated by one character about their life in-universe tell stories that are shared in common with other characters (and the music video for The Night We Met in particular shows us this well - that song is by Frankie Lou and appears to be describing her doomed relationship with Z'Oiseau, but the video primarily focuses on Buck on his drive west toward California to find Lee).
Vide Noir is slightly more linear and slightly more focused on Buck specifically, except for where it's nonlinear and also has a whole bunch of World Enders/Phantom Riders narration which probably is doing the dual purpose thing again, describing what they're up to while also "coincidentally" helping describe Buck's confusion, anger, and anguish as he searches for Lee, gets black-brained and survives, and finds Lee only to learn that yes she did mean to leave him and she doesn't love him.
But you're absolutely right to dive back in to Strange Trails and look for references to vide noir because they're everywhere - Meet Me in the Woods is a great example of this, though it's primarily describing Frankie's experience with the drug in that case.
The Strange Trails album liner notes were very specific about which songs were performed by which characters and who the narration is supposed to be, so I recommend checking that out in the wiki as a starting point. Vide Noir didn't give us that so it has mostly been a matter of interpretation (though it's easy-ish to sort out which are performed by the Buck Vernon Band and which are performed by the Phantom Riders - but if there are other narrators in there it's still not totally clear and Moonbeam is sort of an odd track out in particular).
Long Lost mostly has told us which characters performed which songs again, which is nice and helpful! And the music/lyric videos have been a big help yet again, as has Alive from Whispering Pines, which obviously also deserves a watch if you haven't seen that series yet.
Anyway, hope this helps - I know some of it boils down to "time to read the wiki" but it just saves me from having to re-type the wiki, haha.

OKAY SO just naming that game makes me cry, it fill me with absolute wonder and dread, I cannot explain. There are only a few games that can do that (the others being Heaven's Vault, Dragon Age and Dreamfall Chapters).
I think for me it was also very hard to actually get into it because I was convinced it was part of Skyrim. But the moment I played the intro I knew I was in for something amazing.
How a videogame made for free and as free, as a mod, can be one of the best rpgs ever created - I will never fully understand. I also wish more people played it, especially people who already have skyrim in their pc!!

Hiya! What video games dovyou think would be the Octonauts favorite?
HMM that’s a hard one...I’m sure people have done these kinds of posts before with more accuracy in mind, so I’m just gonna be Indulgent if that’s okay >:3c
Captain Barnacles only plays video games with the team, and they HAVE to be motion based, so he LOVES Just Dance and 1-2 Switch n that kind of stuff.
Professor Inkling is the same to an extent, but more with stuff like Wii Sports that doesn’t require as much full-body movement. I think he’d also be a Clubhouse Games fan for sure.
Kwazii and Tweak have similar taste in games, mainly because they often play them together. Tweak made her own gaming console on par with an NES or SNES, so she usually plays high score-based games like Pac-Man. She doesn’t have the time to commit to RPGs, as much as she’d probably really enjoy them, but sometimes she’s willing to stay up late playing Super Mario World for the sake of not losing progress. She’d also play fighting games with Kwazii probably, and they would be his favourite, but ultimately she’s always better than him at whatever they play because gaming is her ELEMENT. So yeah, Kwazii’s a Smash Bros fan, but the only person that plays with him is Tweak, but she’s not always around. Pinto and Koshi are ABSOLUTELY willing to try and take him on as a duo when they visit though, hehehe.
Peso’s an Animal Crossing guy, or at least someone who enjoys those mobile games where you can check in daily and play for a good 20 minutes, so not hardcore in the SLIGHTEST, haha. He’s not even really committed or “good” at the games since he’s a busy guy and it’s not his Most prevalent hobby, but he finds them relaxing and cute. I’d want to believe Pinto is the reason why he’d play a little more sometimes and try out different things, though :)
DASHI IS THE RPG FAN. She 100% gives me Deltarune and Mother fan vibes. She loves a good story with pretty environments and compelling characters, and her and Koshi tend to bond over their favourites together. She would love to commit to a life sim game like Animal Crossing because of the aesthetics and appeal of building a community from the ground up, but she VERY easily ditches them unfortunately. She is a handheld console player by heart and she LOVES playing on her pink Nintendo 3DS BECAUSE I SAID SO!!! (also Koshi is a YKW fan and a M&L RPG fan she is JUST like me fr!!!!!!!)
Shellington is very hard for me to think of something for LMFAO 😭 he doesn’t strike me as a Gamer...but I think he’d take an interest in Minecraft because of the vast landscapes and all the creatures n stuff. He definitely likes to explore around and modify the environments with some more scientifically accurate elements, such as the animals and plants, but overall he just has fun experimenting with the logic of the world and seeing how it’s ecosystem works differently from the real world. He also builds models to show the crew and educate the Vegimals sometimes :3 BUT he plays Exclusively on Creative Mode and on Peaceful settings because the first time he played on survival without knowing the difference he almost had a panic attack once it became nighttime. Again, though, not much of a gamer, so it’s really only a once in a while thing he does once it crosses his mind.
As a bonus: Paani also isn’t much of a gamer, but Minecraft is something he’s interested in, much like Shellington. Though the difference is he absolutely LOVES the thrill of playing on Survival Mode. He isn’t much better at it, he is nowhere NEAR going to the Nether or fighting the Ender Dragon, but the nightly brawls he has with all the mobs is a lot of fun. Pinto joining is even BETTER. He’s a mobile player so he can play with him no matter where he is! >:3c

okay so! crash course on the wither rose alliance! the wither rose alliance originally formed because fwhip had access to a skeleton spawner, and gem and sausage both got access. it was named after they killed the wither and got wither roses iirc?
then the cod-wra war started, mostly because of fwhip, sausage, and jimmy all escalating to wild degrees.
from there the alliance kinda of started to deteriorate with the appearance of xornoth. fwhip was kind of trying to appease xornoth in the beginning, sausage had allied with them, and gem was actively opposed.
gem was also working secretly with the cod alliance at this point, and was giving things like the location of jimmy’s cod head to them!
pearl joined them around this time as well! she broke her alliance with pixl to join the wither rose alliance.
things came to a head with the og trio when fwhip, gem, and sausage went to the nether to get ghast tears for end crystals to heal the ender dragon. xornoth trapped them in the nether and said he wanted a sacrifice for them to be able to leave. fwhip and gem tried to go for sausage and sausage, aided by xornoth, killed them both. after this sausage was kicked out.
gem’s reaction to sausage’s corruption is basically “i never talk about him. ever”
then after the ender dragon fight, she takes the dragon egg to try and hatch it, ostensibly so she can try to bind xornoth again.
i believe it’s at this point she summons three huge white (spirit? possibly) dragons to protect the crystal cliffs
then sausage kidnaps her and scott, jimmy rescues them, etc.
then there’s that final confrontation with her and sausage. they fight, sausage gets his ass kicked, sausage asks gem to kill him and she does. then sausage comes back to life at home uncorrupted. (a lot of people, including me, assume there was a spell of some kind by gem to separate sausage from the corruption by little making corrupted!sausage into a separate person, but that gets… complicated)
gem accepts sausage back into the alliance, and fwhip, while taking longer to convince, eventually does too.
then xornoth’s defeated etc etc.
this is when she really starts building her school! and also when scott comes to her for help and gives her that… aeor ice corruption thing?
fwhip tells gem to go to katherine about the streak in her hair, and gem goes to shrub instead. shrub gives her some stew that seems to replace the ice corruption with the xornoth corruption. then fwhip forces her to go to katherine’s, and gem is completely cured.
her school opens after this, with the students being weaponless pillagers, and she teaches katherine, lizzie, and fwhip and sausage i believe? there may or may not have been someone else
gem tries to get the dragon egg to hatch after this with fire magic, which she’s especially good at. the egg does and gem names her violet!
then the rapture happens, she grabs fwhip and the two of them ride off on the big white dragons, with violet and fwhip’s two dogs. gem and fwhip live on floating islands, and gem lives in a small house telling stories and using her magic to help out around her.
fwhip is said to be gem’s brother at the end of empires. up to that point it was implied or said on stream like one time that they liked it, so imo it’s a very “keep it if you want but not strictly canon, just don’t be weird” sort of thing? it gets treated as hard canon a lot though by fans

Gem and Wels’ on a date, and some backstory!

“Gem..?”
Wels whispered, barely audible over the sound of rustled leaves and the faint buzzing of bees.
She hummed in reply, hand intertwined with his as they lay on a picnic mat.
“Do you ever wonder, how many lives have passed just over time?”
“Are you getting existential?”
He snorted, “maybe.”
“I’m only here because of some accidental time travel and too many lines of code that make sure I don’t age 2000 years. I’m sure X is tired of updating them by now.”
“How did you accidentally time travel into the present day anyways? If you’re alright with sharing.”
Wels kissed her on the cheek.
“The cold air was eerie. It didn’t feel right. My life didn’t feel right.
I had been King Arthur’s knight since I was allowed to. I had wished and hoped to be among the strongest army ever seen in history. I had hoped to be in textbooks, to be remembered for glory.”
Gem cut him off, “you achieved the ‘be in textbooks’ dream of yours.” Wels laughed.
“I was one of the few knights Galahad had appointed to join him on the search for the grail. That’s when I knew, it wasn’t meant to be.
So I ran, I ran farther and farther from where me and the other accompanying knights had been stationed. The breeze was pushing me back, telling me that it was my duty, that I had signed up for this, that I had to follow it through. Scouts honor and all of that.”
Gem kissed away the tears forming in his tear ducts. He didn’t even realize he was crying. He sniffed.
“Are you alright? You don’t have to tell me,”
“It’s fine, I want to.”
“If you insist…”
“I had pushed through the breeze and the thoughts that told me I was only meant to be a knight. That I couldn’t be anything more than that. I had stumbled into a cave, and dug deeper to find a stronghold. With my sword in hand, I thought, ‘nothing left to lose, might as well.’ And jumped into the ender portal.”
Gem gasped, “Wels! You could have died!” She fussed over him, hand now delicately caressing his face. She kissed him on the bridge of his nose, which made him chuckle.
“I slayed the dragon, I hadn’t known what would happen, where I’d end up, but the air was constricting, and I knew I only had moments left before I would die of oxygen deprivation. So I jumped, and found myself in the 4th season of Hermitcraft.”
Wels chuckled.
“That’s when Xisuma found me at spawn, where I subsequently started to age far too quickly as he scrambled to make sure I didn’t die via lots of lines of code. If you want to know the specifics of that, you’ll have to ask him.”
“From how he’d mentioned it, I don’t think I want to.” She giggled.
“And 4 seasons later, I met you. The love of my life.”
“Okay, now you’re being a sap.”
“I’m your knight in shining armor.”
“That, you are.”
And so, the supposed princess and her knight intertwined their fingers together, and gazed at the sunset. What a romantic scene indeed.

Some part of Gem has found it hard to accept that Camelot isn't the romanticised image she's so used to seeing. But she has a real piece of it here with her, and that's what's most important in her eyes. Looking after Wels.
There's... Clearly things he doesn't talk about. She doesn't press, either. Everything he chooses to share with her, she's grateful for. And she'll share stories of childhood and early heartbreak. The teasing she endured in her youth. Nothing compared to Wels, but he appreciates the perspective on modern day life too.
It still feels like there's things he doesn't fully understand. He appreciates the time Gem takes to teach him - he doesn't feel afraid to admit when he's unfamiliar with something. Whether it be food, an item or a custom. Gem is always happy to teach him!
Who knew things could end up like this?

Hi! uh, i just wanted to pop in and say, um, your minecraft worldbuilding headcanons?? INCREDIBLE!!!
actually, i was wondering if it'd be alright for me to base the worldbuilding in a fanfic of my own on your headcanons? I don't even know if i'd ever post the fic online, but i wanted to know, just in case.
also! i was wondering if it might be possible for an Ender Dragon based Angel to exist? or would that have to just be a hybrid or anthro, with wings that cant be used for flying?
also also!! can different subspecies interbreed? and if so, would the offspring take after one parent, or by kinda a mix of both? actually, what with all the magic/Code involved, does subspecies even have to do with genetics at all?
heck, can players even BE born, or do they just spawn the way mobs do?

And oh oh oh, i'll be able to talk about a bunch of things i never mention there hehe
Dragon angels: I do think they can exist ! they're probably a rare variant of the species and bound to have their duties in the End and stuff. Dragon anthros/hybrid are probably way more rare or impossible honestly, as the ender dragon is a kind of deity, i can imagine the player who inherit of her features would probably be confined to the angel species ^^
For interbreeding: I needed to think about genetics a few times and to be honest, it's a bit messed up ^^'' Basically, a player's species is given randomly depending on their parents' species
I would need to make all of this properly, but some species are more dominant than others in genes: angels need both parents to be angels themselves; humanoid species are all on the same levels and kids have a 50/50 chance to have one parent's species or another; hybrids and anthro are dominants over humanoids, and cryptids over hybrids/anthro (so a couple made of a humanoids and a cryptid will more than likely have cryptids kids etc); hostile mob derived players (like enderians and creepers) can't breed with other species than their own, and some species like blobs and inorganic can't breed at all.
And finally, yes players can be born... and spawned haha; Most players have families, bloodline and genetics like us irl. But sometimes they just... spawn out of nowhere. There's a concept i need to explain when i'll talk about death and dead worlds, a metaphorical entity that creates new worlds and sometimes spawns players in random worlds. Spawned players have the body and mind of 7-10 yo kids and can grow and learn from there, that's how new bloodlines and sometimes new species are created. Blobs actually are exclusively spawned players, they're a sort of glitched spawn ^^
