i absolutely adore the way that relationships are written in this fic, maya's relationship with phoenix really shines through even through their brief interactions and later their texts.

i also really enjoy the way edgeworth is written in this fic, his initial caginess and awkwardness really feels true to the character and is done in a way that doesn't want to make me die of embarrassment, more in a way that makes me want to see him work past his issues and enjoy watching warrior of neo olde tokyo with maya ^_^

maya's written really well also, i appreciate the way she steps back when she realises she's gone too far with edgeworth (like when she grabs his arm and immediately realises her mistake and apologises) - far too often i've seen interpretations of maya where she takes things too far and makes people uncomfortable, when in the games it's really the opposite. (read: stopping phoenix from showing edgeworth a picture of his dad's dead body) i'm always a big fan of a good maya fic too :-)

all the steel samurai content here is also really cool as someone who enjoys seeing different writers' (strangely cohesive with each other's) interpretations of the show (and by extension, the steel samurai and the evil magistrate). huge fan of the 'magisteel is actually narumitsu' thing that a bunch of aa authors have going on and i especially love when they expand on it, i just love media inside other media, it's one of my favorite things :3

i have said before that i greatly enjoy the way 3musketears writes relationships and interactions between characters, and that holds true for this fic!

the way phoenix and maya interact is just perfect and i really like the way phoenix so clearly cares for maya on a deep level, and how maya, despite jokes, deeply cares for phoenix as well - it's showcased incredibly well even through their smaller interactions in this fic.

the humor in this fic also hits the mark well. from phoenix's horrible graphic tee to the bouquet of coral roses being unfortunately presented to edgeworth, this fic has comedy that is both funny and engaging ^_^

i just really enjoy how phoenix is characterised in this fic too, his sarcasm and sass are game accurate in the best way possible

i also really love the mia appearance, she definitely needs to start appearing in more fanfics STAT i love my girlboss lawyer wife

also, i think the blue badger tearing it up on the dance floor is genuinely the most hilarious idea ever presented in a fanfiction before. massive squid seal of approval on that one

the final scene with phoenix's penchant for chaos being fully taken advantage of is one of my favorites in any fanfiction, too.

this fic is really good, one of my favorites! give it a read if you have the time, you definitely won't regret it :3

the funniest dynamc between my boyfriend and i is the chef/baker divide runs so deep. experimentally my boyfriend is a genius with figuring out what flavor profiles will not just taste good together but also will be enjoyed by the specific audience he is cooking for. a recipe is not a guidebook so much as a suggestion and he will frankenstein ideas together to get exactly what he wants to happen. he also didnt know that sugar will not work properly if you dont mix it with the wet ingredients in banana bread and when i asked 'why didnt you do it in the order of the recipe' he said 'i didnt really think it mattered'. autistically i exploded his head in my mind
