Boss: “Is your forecasting up to date? I don’t see [three projects that are supposed to be split up among the team after I write the SOW]”

Me: “yes it is up to date, we talked about spreading that work out across the team, i sent you the SOWs with effort estimates but I haven’t gotten confirmation from you about what I will be responsible for so I haven’t added estimates for that time yet. My utilization is over 100% until July so it is not likely I will be able to take on all the work for those projects, which is why you agreed to spread the work out last week when we talked.”

#we are supposed to be at 75% utilization #meaning that of our 40 hours in a week 30 are supposed to be spent on client billable activities #and right now my utilization is forecast to be 115 to 192% meaning that based on the amount of work I’m assigned #I will need to do 47.5 to 80 hours of client billable work every 40 hour week.#which like. that’s not happening. I’m exempt so I don’t get overtime pay so like fuck that #you get max 45 hours a week from me
