Al-Shifa Hospital is a ‘big prison’, says director
Nov 17th, 12:25 GMT
As Israel continues its raid of al-Shifa Hospital, the director of al-Shifa says the medical compound has become a “big prison” and a “mass grave” for all those inside.
Muhammed Abu Salmiya tells Al Jazeera that there are 7,000 people in the hospital and staff are still working to help patients but they “lost all those who were in the intensive care unit”.
“We are left with nothing, no power, no food, no water. with every passing minute, we are losing a life. Overnight we lost 22 persons, [and] for the past three days the hospital has been kept under siege,” Salmiya said.
He added that they have appealed to leave the hospital but are being denied by Israeli forces.
“It’s a war crime. A full-fledged war crime,” he said.
6000+ Names of Palestinians killed by Israel from October 7, 2023 – October 26, 2023, (markers on canvas), (installation views), Compiled and assembled by Veronica Fuentes and community members for the Canada Palestine Cultural Association (CPCA), November 2023 [Latitude 53, Edmonton]
«In early November 2023, a group of Indigenous, Jewish, and settler community members came together to take action in solidarity with Palestine. To publicly grieve the lives of those killed at the hands of the Israeli state, they rolled out a 9-metre strip of canvas in Churchill Square and asked passers-by to contribute by writing out one or more names of those lost to Israel’s genocidal attacks. Some Edmontonians joined to write out the names of family members killed by Israeli bombardments. As the siege of Gaza and bombing continued, the scroll required additional material. The names were copied directly from a list of 6,747 names released by the Gaza Ministry of Health. The scroll eventually grew to be 55 metres in length and still contains only a fraction of the names of all those killed by Israel since October 7th. Today, over 30,000 Palestinians have now been killed by Israel— a number that continues to rise every day.
The piece intends to help people visually process the staggering death toll in Gaza, and convey that every day without a ceasefire and an end to Canada’s complicity in Israeli aggression is resulting in hundreds of more lives killed by Israel. The scroll is unnamed and unfinished. Local Indigenous, Jewish, and settler allies have been the caretakers of this scroll. It is to be given to The Canada Palestine Cultural Association (CPCA).»

🇯🇴 Jordan summons Iranian ambassador after Iran warned Jordan could be next target if it cooperated w/ Israel. Jordan says it intercepted Iran's artillery in its airspace to protect citizens, despite causing shrapnel to fall on neighborhoods

April 19
On Iran:
Israel’s attack on Iran.
Small drones were somehow launched from within Iran targeting an airbase in Isfahan. Iran shot them down, reporting no damage caused
It’s a limited response to Iran’s retaliation which launched drones & missiles at Israel after Israel attacked Iran’s consulate, killing 16. Israel is yet to confirm the attack but it told US last minute of the operation
The attack’s limited nature is Israel balancing US pressure to de-escalate while trying to show regional military dominance, consistent w/ reports that US & Israel agreed on a Rafah invasion in exchange for no Iran escalation. An anonymous Israeli official said it was to signal Israel’s ability to strike inside Iran
Iran is downplaying the incident, likely so they won’t have to respond. An official called it “reckless fireworks”
Unclear if Israel will attack again; Iran said they don’t plan to retaliate. Seems there’s no Iranian or Israeli desire to escalate, especially w/ mass global calls for de-escalation

Suncrest Campaign Wrap-Up: The Duality Of Session Titles
Our player-notes document is a communal Google Doc, where everyone (including the beleaguered DM) can hop back to check details from earlier sessions--highly recommend this system, honestly. And, for ease of reference, every week after the session wraps up I go in and give the session a title, so that we can use the gdocs Table of Contents feature to easily jump between entries.
In general, I try to make these at least somewhat informative--I try to match the tone of the title to the overall tone of the session, and reference something that'll make it clear in six months what the hell I'm talking about.
So, in honor of the party reaching the campaign endgame: A final write-up of all our session titles over the course of the campaign.

I found this new info blurb about the cover art really interesting 👁️ (emphasis mine):
Deluxe package features all-original artwork by Dragon Age Concept Director Ramil Sunga and Lead UX Artist Danny Richardson, created exclusively for this album set. The beautifully detailed artwork presents a pictorial timeline following the lore of the Dragon Age series, beginning at the dawn of the Golden City, throughout the City's Fall and culminating in its re-emergence as the Black City, seat of the Old Gods. (Mostly Chronological) IDW My Little Pony Reading Order
The small “arcs” of the main comic are listed together (like #1-#4, #5-#8, etc). Side comics with an ongoing story are listed with priority rather than chronological release order for smoother reading. Year of release is rounded to be with other issues of their arc.
It is not necessary to read this way, you can pretty much jump in wherever as most stories are self-contained. You should, however, watch whatever season of Friendship is Magic was out that year first. The G4 comics are supplementary material to it.
Get the 10th anniversary edition of issue #1 instead of the regular one. Definitely DO NOT use this site nor this site either if you can’t afford the comics.

[Occupation Forces launch raids and arrest campaigns in Al-Amari refugee camp in the central West Bank ]
🇵🇸🇮🇱 💥ISRAELI FORCES LAUNCH CONTINUED RAIDS ACROSS EAST JERUSALEM AND THE WEST BANK AS CLASHES RAGE ON💥
Even as Israeli occupation forces continue with the siege of Gaza, bombing, striking and pounding entire neighborhoods into dust in preparation for a massive ground assault, the West Bank continues to be in the grip of a cycle of violence Sunday.
Since the violence kicked off in Gaza last Saturday, 55 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank and more than 1'100 more have been wounded.
Human Rights Activist Samir Abu Shams speaking to reporters with Al Jazeera News, reminded them that the Israeli Defense Forces were in direct violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention's ban on Collective Punishment in Article 33.
“What we are seeing today is that the occupation forces enter civilian areas, create friction, and target civilians with gunfire without any justification,” the 60-year-old from Tulkarem said. “Most of the cases of Israeli gunfire have been against Palestinian civilians passing through the street or going to their place of work.”
On the one hand, Abu Shams said, Israel isolates the Gaza strip from the West Bank.
“On the other, it takes revenge on civilians in the occupied West Bank and takes measures to arm settlers and gives instructions to open fire on men, women, and children,” he said.
According to Al Jazeera News, on Friday Karem Al-Jallad was driving home from the Market to his home in the southern district, driving through the Jewish settlement of Gishuri when Israeli soldiers opened fire and Karem was hit three times in the chest, hand and shoulder.
There were five bullets on the front of Karem’s car,” his cousin Alaa al-Jallad said to Al Jazeera.
“Karem kept driving on the road until he reached the al-Safir roundabout, and from there he was transferred by ambulance to the local hospital.'
Ahmed Zahran of the Palestine Red Crescent Society in Tulkarem told Al Jazeera that Israeli soldiers shot at four civilian cars in the same area on Friday, killing one Palestinian and injuring seven others. A second Palestinian, 16, was shot on Friday and died the next day from his injuries.
“We headed there in our ambulance and saw a white Hyundai car that was shot at,” Zahran said. “The four passengers were all injured, all in serious condition.”
Zahran and his team managed to transport three victims but when they went back for the fourth Palestinian, Israeli occupation forces fired on the ambulance and medics.
“We continued our work quickly, and at the same time we received a report of gunfire at another car about 30 metres (98 feet) away from us,” Zahran said. “After identifying it, we found no casualties, only an empty car in the middle of the street, with no one in it.”
After they found Karem and transferred him to the hospital, they received a call for two more Palestinians who'd also been shot while passing by the Jewish settlement.
Countless stories like Karem's are now coming out of the West Bank and East Jerusalem as reported attacks skyrocket from not only Israeli Military, but from Israeli settlers as well.
To Abu Shams, the Human Rights Activist, these kinds of attacks by the military and settlers alike are part of a calculated effort by the Israelis to pressure and displace the Palestinian population whether that's in the West Bank, East Jerusalem or the Gaza Strip.

First Reading
Daniel 1:1-6, 8-20
None were found equal to Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.
In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon came and laid siege to Jerusalem. The Lord handed over to him Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and some of the vessels of the temple of God; he carried them off to the land of Shinar, and placed the vessels in the temple treasury of his god.
The king told Ashpenaz, his chief chamberlain, to bring in some of the children of Israel of royal blood and of the nobility, young men without any defect, handsome, intelligent and wise, quick to learn, and prudent in judgment, such as could take their place in the king’s palace; they were to be taught the language and literature of the Chaldeans; after three years’ training they were to enter the king’s service. The king allotted them a daily portion of food and wine from the royal table. Among these were men of Judah: Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.
But Daniel was resolved not to defile himself with the king’s food or wine; so he begged the chief chamberlain to spare him this defilement. Though God had given Daniel the favor and sympathy of the chief chamberlain, he nevertheless said to Daniel, “I am afraid of my lord the king; it is he who allotted your food and drink. If he sees that you look wretched by comparison with the other young men of your age, you will endanger my life with the king.” Then Daniel said to the steward whom the chief chamberlain had put in charge of Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, “Please test your servants for ten days. Give us vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then see how we look in comparison with the other young men who eat from the royal table, and treat your servants according to what you see.” He acceded to this request, and tested them for ten days; after ten days they looked healthier and better fed than any of the young men who ate from the royal table. So the steward continued to take away the food and wine they were to receive, and gave them vegetables. To these four young men God gave knowledge and proficiency in all literature and science, and to Daniel the understanding of all visions and dreams. At the end of the time the king had specified for their preparation, the chief chamberlain brought them before Nebuchadnezzar. When the king had spoken with all of them, none was found equal to Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; and so they entered the king’s service. In any question of wisdom or prudence which the king put to them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his kingdom.

Luke 21:1-4
He noticed a poor widow putting in two small coins.
When Jesus looked up he saw some wealthy people putting their offerings into the treasury and he noticed a poor widow putting in two small coins. He said, “I tell you truly, this poor widow put in more than all the rest; for those others have all made offerings from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has offered her whole livelihood.”

have 18, 38, 48, and 55 for galaed if you’d like! :D @kerra-and-company
Ooooh!! Ding-Dong! It's still autumn and it's Galaëd hours! 🍂😁 With a little bit of a sneak peek into the future of De Draconis Mobile!
18. Have any special keepsakes?
A bud of Caladbolg that was cut from the thorn when he fought Mazdak, before joining the Vigil. Trahearne returned the sword to the Pale Tree, but Galaëd preciously kept the severed flower and had it encased in a bead of glass he still wears to this day as a pendant.
Something else he holds very dear is his rapier, a razor sharp and feather light blade forged by Occam -- a token of the blacksmith’s gratitude after the newly bloomed Valiant saved him from the Nightmare Court and salvaged his masterpiece from the corpse of the so-called Green Knight, Bercilak. The blade served him faithfully for several years, and is now carried by someone Galaëd holds closest to his heart.
38. Did/do they go anywhere special for vacations?
Hahahaha!! 🤣🏖️
After the victory of the Pact over Zhaitan, Rorschach and Galaëd did take a little vacation! The sun, the palm trees, the warm white sand and crystalline water...
Would be a shame if...
Someone...🌵
Unleashed...
Karkas on the island... 🦀
48. What was their lowest point? What was their highest point?
His highest point, no doubt, the completion of his Wyld Hunt, the resurrection of Trahearne! The pure unadulterated joy of having his brother back!
His lowest point... Taking the mantle of Commander of the Pact after the death of Rorschach. Preparing the siege of Thunderhead peak, to defeat Kralkatorik, save the world and avenge his friend... and failing...
His only chance to continue to do the right thing there is to fall in complete denial, to convince himself to the point of delusion that Rorschach will find his way back to them, like he did when Balthazar killed him. And being confronted to the inescapable, solid, gruesome evidence of the contrary — when Aurene and her Champion (wait and see) lead their final assault of the heart of the Elder Dragon of Crystal at Dragon Fall — is the closest he ever gets from falling...
To what, he himself is not sure.
55. What’s your character’s core trait? What’s their best trait? What’s their worst trait? When happens when these all interact with each other?
I'd say his best trait is his loyalty. And his joyful demeanour.
But they are, in a certain way some of his core flaws, because he’s terrified of disappointing the people he admires or loves, which means he takes at heart to conform himself to what he is expected to be -- a Valiant, a Warmaster, a commanding officer of the Pact, a Jester, a Beacon of Hope. It does not mean he’s not all these things, nor that these titles and expectations are too heavy a mantle to bear, just that he might sometimes force himself to keep up appearances, for the sake of those looking up to him, but mostly for the love of those he looks up to.

COLUMBINE SHOOTING 25 YEARS LATER
‘The full cost of these tragedies’
On eve of massacre anniversary, survivors to attend candlelight vigil
DENVER — Hours after she escaped the Columbine High School shooting, 14-year-old Missy Mendo slept between her parents in bed, still wearing the shoes she had on when she fled her math class. She wanted to be ready to run.
Twenty-five years later, and with Mendo now a mother herself, the trauma from that horrific day remains close on her heels.
It caught up to her when 60 people were shot dead in 2017 at a country music festival in Las Vegas, a city she had visited a lot while working in the casino industry.
Then again in 2022, when 19 students and two teachers were shot and killed in Uvalde.
Mendo had been filling out her daughter’s pre-kindergarten application when news of the elementary school shooting broke.
She read a few lines of a news story about Uvalde, then put her head down and cried.
“It felt like nothing changed,” she recalls thinking.
In the quarter-century since two gunmen at Columbine shot and killed 12 fellow students and a teacher in suburban Denver — an attack that played out on live television and ushered in the modern era of school shootings — the traumas of that day have continued to shadow Mendo and others who were there.
Some needed years to view themselves as Columbine survivors since they were not physically wounded.
Yet things like fireworks could still trigger disturbing memories.
The aftershocks — often unacknowledged in the years before mental health struggles were more widely recognized — led to some survivors suffering insomnia, dropping out of school, or disengaging from their spouses or families.
Survivors and other members of the community plan to attend a candlelight vigil on the steps of the state’s capitol Friday night, the eve of the shooting’s anniversary.
Saturday, April 20, is 4/20 — an informal holiday for marijuana users. Even if you don’t partake in cannabis-related activities, you might be wondering…
Why is 4/20 associated with weed?
There are many theories about why '4/20' is associated with marijuana, some with more validity than others.
Perhaps the most plausible origin story comes from five teenagers in a California high school.
One rumor, which has been proven false, is that '420' is code among police officers for 'marijuana smoking in progress.'
Another points to a vague reference in a 1966 Bob Dylan song.
Popular lore ties the birth of '4/20' to a group of high schoolers attending Northern California’s San Rafael High School in the early 1970s.
The five teens – Steve Capper, Dave Reddix, Jeffrey Noel, Larry Schwartz and Mark Gravich – became known as the 'Waldos' because they met by a wall.
The students met at 4:20 p.m. by the statue of chemist Louis Pasteur to smoke weed, presumably because most extracurricular activities had ended by that time.
'We weren’t stupid stoners,' Capper, 68, an original Waldo said, pointing to a certificate for exceptional achievement and citizenship he received in school.
The Waldos engaged in after-school activities like sports and studying, so 4:20 was chosen as the time the group could all meet up.
The rest is history.
'We got tired of the Friday-night football scene with all of the jocks,' Reddix told TIME Magazine in 2017. 'We were the guys sitting under the stands smoking a doobie, wondering what we were doing there.'
Reddix would later work with Phil Lesh, the bass guitarist for the rock band 'The Grateful Dead.'
According to TIME Magazine, the band popularized the term.
On Dec. 28, 1990, a group of the band’s fans, known as 'Deadheads,' passed out flyers in north California encouraging people to smoke on April 20 at 4:20 p.m.
One of the flyers was published in cannabis-culture magazine High Times.

Did the Age of the Israelite Come to an End?
From the Bible’s King James ER Version
Part 2 of a 2-part Series
PROPHECIES FOR THE LAST DAYS OF THE ISRAELITES:
Deuteronomy 28:47-51 - Because you served NOT the LORD your God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things—Therefore you shall serve your enemies which the LORD shall send against you, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon your neck, until he have destroyed you.
The LORD shall bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue you shall not understand; A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young;
And he shall eat the fruit of your cattle, and the fruit of your land, until you be destroyed; and he shall besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land, which the LORD your God hath given you.
Deuteronomy 28:52-54 - And you shalt eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and of your daughters, which the LORD your God hath given you—in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith your enemies shall distress you—So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate—his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which shall be left.

Ezekiel 5:11 - Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely—because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable things, and with all your abominations,—therefore I will also diminish you; neither shall my eye spare, neither will I have any pity.
Ezekiel 7:2,3 - Also, thou son of man—thus saith the Lord GOD unto the land of Israel, “An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land. Now is the end come upon you, and I will send my anger upon you, and will judge you according to your ways, and will recompense upon you all your abominations.” (this whole chapter is about the End of the Israelites as a race of people)
