Cringetober 2023 Week 2 (I drew days 10 through 14 ahead of time) Note: I did not do Day 9 as I am not that into shipping and the few fandom ships I am into are either very popular (e.g.- Jumpin’ Johnnie Jumble x Sketch from Crashbox) or confirmed to be canon as far as I know (e.g.- Susie x Noelle from Deltarune).

I had chosen not to do Day 11 either as, according to what I have found out over these recent years, the yandere trope is ableist towards Borderline people (referring to Borderline Personality Disorder), more specifically demonizing the Borderline trait of having a “favorite person”. I may not be Borderline myself but I want to avoid ableism and sanism in my works whenever I can. I sincerely apologize for any insensitive portrayals of marginalized communities that I have done in the past and aim to learn from my mistakes and do better in the future.

Human! Windows 11 Redesign

ID: Human Windows XP's updated design has ear-length wavy grass-green hair, a round face, vertical oval black eyes, big round glasses, round eyebrows, a button nose, a cute open smile, and light pinkish skin. They're wearing a white short-sleeved button up with rolled up sleeves, a cerulean vest with grass-green buttons, grass-green long pants, and blue loafers. Their updated design as depicted here is now plus-sized.

Human Windows 11’s updated design has ear-length cerulean hair, round cerulean eyes, thick long straight eyebrows, pale orangey pinkish skin, silver cuff earrings, a tall triangular nose, and a closed smile. They are taller than Human XP and are wearing a bluish off-white long-sleeve jacket with shoulder pads, bluish off-white long pants and loafers, and a cerulean button-up with ruffles on the chest.

Human Windows 3.1’s alternate design has a yellow high-top hairdo, emerald-green colored contacts in their round eyes, a rectangular face, a flatter nose, a smile showing only their teeth, and dark brown skin. They're wearing a dark blue button up, a red bowtie, and a bright teal suit with the mid-to-late 1990's version of the MS Windows logo on the left lapel of their jacket and loafers.

Human Windows 7's updated design has ear-length gold-yellow wavy hair with an ahoge and hexagonal highlights, light pinkish skin, blue gradient eyes, a small button nose, round blue sunglasses, and a closed smile. They're wearing a blue T-shirt with an aurora pattern on it under a now-green short-sleeve button up with a bubble pattern, long blue-to-yellow gradient pants, and red converse-style sneakers with daisies where the stars would be. Sorry for not posting that much art. I have a lot of coursework to do right now and I'm still really stressed about it.

Anyways, here's this character that I kind of based on myself.

They're an anthropomorphic robot with an old Windows 98 Second Edition desktop for a head with a CRT monitor face.

Back in the 1990s and very early 2000's, before LCD and LED screens were common, you had to do something called "degaussing" to the CRT monitor to your computer screen, and that would clear electromagnetic buildup from the monitor so your screen wouldn't be messed up from using the computer a lot, and that caused some really interesting-looking effects on the screen for a second or two.

An example of monitor degaussing can be found here.

I decided to use the appeparance of degaussing to show how this character "kisses".

I also showed how this character would eat (and I'd imagine that they'd drink liquids the same way) so this character could have a way of enjoying human food even though they primarily rely on plug-in recharging and technological repairs.

They also shut down and start up instead of sleeping and waking up like a human would, but it has the same effect in the end.

I also gave them the same black hoodie that I recently bought in real life from a Label Shopper in Northeast Hudson Valley, NY.

Some characters for a self-indulgent Crashbox ripoff I made to fulfill my current neurodivergent hyperfixation on this new series I made called Brain Break.

Segments:

Pulp Fantasy-

Hosts: Noir (he/him, the green alien in the purple shirt and white detective outfit) and Blanc (they/them, the yellow Martian Chihuahua in the black suit)

Concept: These two are freelance detectives from Mars that defeat bad guys, save the day, and teach mental health lessons in an engaging and fun way while doing so.

Micro Math-

Host: Lille Widow (xe/xer)

Concept: Lille shows us different groups of things gathered in xer web, then has us solve a simple equation while also making us count the numbers of the groups of things in order to get the numbers to the equation, e.g.- ●●● + ●●●●● - ●● = ?

FarmZoo-

Host: Mack Hayfield (they/them)

Concept: Some wild lifeform, such as elephants or tree-sized mushrooms, will be a pest to Mack’s crop, and the viewer has to figure out what that lifeform is to get that lifeform out of the crop that Mack guards.

WorDice-

Host: Dicehead (he/him, nonspeaking ASL user [it’s his primary and highly preferred means of communication])

Sidekick: Chippy (he/him, hearing and audibly speaks)

Concept: Dicehead shows three different ASL signs with their English translation shown above each respective ASL sign. He then quickly spells an English word with the dice face spelling abilities that he almost never uses asides from this portion of the WorDice segments due to costing a lot of energy to use, this ability of which DiceHead saves exclusively for his job hosting the WorDice segments (the English word of which ends up being the English translation to one of the three signs) and the viewer has to figure that word out. After that, the ASL signs are then shown without their English translations, and the viewer has to figure out what ASL sign the English word from earlier translates to.

TV Bod D-

Host: Corpo the Computer (they/them)

Concept: Corpo shows a zoomed in kid-friendly presentation of part of the human body (e.g.- blood cells, heart, brain, etc.) and informs the viewer about the body part in a fantastical, “weirder than any science fiction series” type of way, and the viewer has to figure out what that body part is before time runs out.

With this style, I let myself really lean into this kind of neon uncanny surrealness with this more experimental warped digital collage style. A character from a thing I made a while ago.

[note: I will not be posting anything on any of my social medias on June 18th or June 19th this year to honor Juneteenth as a white person.]

This character, Ash, is from an old concept I had called "The Laboratory Interactive Art Institution", which was an idea that I had for this place which had interactive elements within it, and the entire place and everything in it heavily borrowed from the turn-of-the-millennium Kaybug/Y2K/Cyber aesthetic, from the predominant cool blues, silvers, and periwinkles with pops of bright orange to the predominantly shiny and metallic textures that I envisioned The Lab IAI and the things within it to have to the blobjects that I imagined dominating the architecture of The Lab IAI to even the fusion between the more colorful and juvenile and the sleek, technological and unrealistic cross-millennial retro-future.

Dr. X has no nose.

Dr. X is wearing a stereotypical doctor’s headband, with all of the headband, including the metal disk, being cerulean aside from the marigold button on the center, with the disk of the headband having a swirly pattern on it.

Dr. X’s smile is wide to the point of being outside of the boundaries of their face, and filled with sharp triangular teeth, and has a thinner more oval-like face with pale gold skin, like the rest of their body.

Dr. X has chin-length spiky marigold hair.

Dr. X wears a white jacket that is highly reminiscent of the Howie lab coat, although Dr. X’s jacket stops just before their hips and does not continue to have any length beyond that, unlike the Howie lab coat. 

The collar of Dr. X’s jacket is wide and exaggerated to be in a reverse trapezoid shape to the point of reaching their shoulders, and the edge of their jacket’s neck collar, along with the edge of their sleeves, has a horizontal cerulean stripe with black lineart.

Dr. X’s jacket has a giant marigold X on it lined with thick black ink markers.

Dr. X is wearing ink-black straight-leg long-sleeve pants and ink-black shoes of indiscernible detail that cover all of their feet.
