Hi, I am really new to this story, everything looks great so I have seen some post that this is a series or at least a two books. I have heard that we break up with the RO's at the end of the book (I don't know the reason) but we can get back together with them in the next. Do we have to break it off or is this just a time skip when the MC is going back to their childhood. Also is it possible for the RO's and the MC to have a happy ending? 😊 love the story

If the reader never came back, he’d have vague-ish memories of her. A lullaby she used to sing, the sound of her voice calling his name, flashes of a smile that never quite reached her eyes, things like that.

But in that case, I think Oikawa’s far enough gone that he’d raise Hatori with the expectation that they’ll be reunited one day. Hatori will know who his mother is, grow up surrounded with pictures of her and stories from his father – spun like a grand romance.

He’ll know his mother, he’ll know what it means to love someone beyond the point reason, and one day they’ll find her again. One day.

You're right about that, Gabe's a chameleon. Either naturally or strategically, depending on the situation!

I feel like all my main cast characters have protagonist energy (across the board, not just for this game). Like, if I couldn't potentially write a whole spin-off about their life, they aren't main enough to be a love interest! But I also feel that way about a few other characters like Father Gilroy or whole families like the Goodnights.

I think something that brings a character an almost natural sense of depth is knowing that there's a lot going on behind the scenes for them, even if you don't have all the details — both to make them who they are and at whatever stage the story is in. Every RO here has main character energy once you get to know them, it's why I love writing them all so much 🥰🥰🥰
