hate that zooming in on a pdf doesn't automatically fit it to the screen and i have to scroll side to side this is tragic i just want to scroll up and down nice and easy peasy but alas my eyes suck so bad

#literally i think my eyes have been getting worse the other day my sibling was playing ddlc and really wanted me to watch and i was like #okay sure and so i set up my chair like 2 feet away from the monitor and i had to ask them to make the textbox bigger like 3 #times before we were just like okay let's go to the biggest mode and man. it still was too small i was wearing my glasses and everything #and i was squinting so much it was painful. and i've been having to write at like 20pt font on my laptop like. dude. #i have an eye appt next week tho we're gonna see if they're even worse than they were last time #very frustrating bc my eyes are very important to me bc i;m a very visual creature and i was born with one that doesn't even fucking #work and another that wasn't great and is getting worse. it's ridiculous #sigh. my siblings all have 20/20 (or better) vision. i'm jealous. where did those genes come from i want them

#the difference is. a lot less obvious in tumblrs font alsjdnsk #theyd used the german double s instead of the greek beta #literally so entirely different #i dont even think it was from a german group. did they write the paper on their phones or something alsjdnsls #(wouldnt be surprised actually with the number of errors) #horrible. did u know that only about 20% of academic papers have replicable results #the ß is small but it is a symptom of a much larger problem #i fucking hate academics and academia

The admin at the CritRole wiki I've historically had so many disputes with over the page year, more than a year has just formally become the bureaucrat, the highest-ranked person responsible for the management and care of the entire wiki and oversees the admins.

2 days.

2 days. i finished this book in 2 days. i expected nothing much. maybe a little comedy. maybe sexy romance. definitely sexy smut. but i didnt expect The Level of drama and romance that led me to finish it from chapter 1 to the epilogue.

the writing was really good. it has a mixture of modern writing with a few figurative languages and imageries that had me gasping and cupping my mouth. it was a nice balance of colourful writing style + easy to understand

the hero and heroine are lovable! hero literally reminds me of those male leads in malay novels: a bastard with a black heart who slowly but deeply falls for the girl. the heroine is so lovable and sweet and i love how she grows as a character. she deserves all the happiness and the heartbreak she felt almost hit close to home (ahah) but that still didnt deter me from enjoying their chemistry

the other characters are so well written. the villain is so hateable yet i can still tolerate him once he redeemed. everyone got a happy ending and im happy hehe

the way chase fell hard for maddie and regretted his poor actions to her felt GOOD. the way he broke down one by one when he was so cocky and arrogant in the first few chapters felt GOOD. the way he bared his heart open for maddie felt GOOD. the way maddie believed he could never love her yet didnt know he is madly in love with her felt GOOD.

there are moments where it felt cringey but in a good kind of cringey. like chase is a bastard but genuinely loves his family and as time goes by falls hard for maddie. like maddie is a human definition of spring who grows from being bullied to standing up for herself. their little silly moments were adorable to balance the angst and drama that happened to them

rating? 10/10 REALLY good book. oh my god

#my only concern is maybe font n paragraph spacing #like ok font not so much #but the paragraph spacing was a bit close #n some paragraphs are a bit too lengthy so it gets confusing for my brain considering font is small #but wow the content n writing style is really good! #it almost feels like a malay author wrote this #lmao now i knw what it feels like when ppl see my writing n got shocked english isnt my 1st lang and im from asia haha #AAAAAA ok im sold ill follow the author n see more of her works #idk if ill read the stolen heir now tho #coz i read the devil wears black hoping for some sexy n funny #it IS sexy n their banter is funny #but it has more drama than comedy #i have another romcom but hmmm idk #what i do know is i should sleep lmao #fafar yaps #about books
